Both times, my hair was cut in a hurry. Perhaps the fastest my hair has ever been cut in my 37 years of life. The first time, I was the only one in the salon and there were no appointments after me. My haircut turned out okay, but I almost always think a haircut turns out good or great. I went back again today because I like the Old Town Tomball location. Alas, I was a few minutes late, my fault. Once again, it was a super fast hair cut. It was then I realized: this salon overbooks. They only allow 45 mins for a shampoo, haircut and blow dry. I was promptly kicked out of my chair at 43 mins into the appointment with halfway wet hair. Very bizarre. I guess when I think of the "salon" experience, I don't think of speed. Again, partially my fault this time since I arrived a bit late, but I still think there are major flaws in their scheduling and quality. It's a shame since the location is so good and it's a cute place.

Bless her heart, she's a great colorist but not the best at cutting hair. She left it with frayed ends, choppy, more damaged looking than it was and still thick and hard to manage. Imagine asian mullet. Yup. Help! So on to get help. In the course of 5 yrs of living in Houston, I would have to say Duc was the best at cutting my hair. I took his first available appointment. He asked, "What are we doing here?" I explained, we need to fix this sad asian mullet. There was just no way I was going to live with this horribly confused haircut. Oh my word did Duc deliver! He blended and lighten the weight of my hair beautifully. The next friend who saw me couldn't believe how my new haircut made me look so differently! I know, sorry i didn't have a before and after pic guys. But hell no, was I going to be documented with that horrible cut! LOL I am deeply grateful to Duc and the wonderful people at Envision Salon. This was my first time at her new location. Her room is upstairs of the Green Apple Salon (Aveda). There was plenty of parking in the lot thankfully. The room has soothing ambient sounds and a nice rainbow reflection going on on the ceiling. The bed was heated - nice and cozy. I felt extremely relaxed throughout and when the treatment ended, it felt like I had just taken a luxuriously wonderful nap. Lindsay really enjoys what she does and extensively researched her field. She has developed her own products - and she is very receptive and keenly aware of her client's sensitive skin types and feedback. She focuses on natural products especially as the skincare products these days are often so focused on marketing/fads but sadly loaded with chemicals that are so harsh on our skin and cause pH imbalance. She is also just fun to talk to and cares about your overall experience, and doesn't pressure you to buy her products or book more appointments. She's just there to provide a premium relaxing session, refresh your face, and help however she can on your skin goals.
