Worst experience; horrific customer service and business practices. Took my 14 year old for a cut and discussed a gloss to remove some of the brassiness. I watched the stylist (Lyndsay) apply it - it was shampooed in, and my daughter was left to "process" laying her head back in the sink. Hair was washed and they went back to her chair for the cut. In less than 45 min, she was done. I get to the register and am charged $200 for a full color. That was NEVER discussed. I let the owner know my frustration and she responded saying well "a gloss is a full color. People just call it gloss and they don't know what they are talking about." Perhaps, but my daughter had the EXACT same thing done in August and it was nowhere near $200. I paid full price, tipped and left. I got home and called for clarification as to what exactly was done. Now the owner tells me that not only did she need a full color, root to ends, she also needed color correction. I watched the color process - and nothing extra was done to her hair. Lyndsay shampooed in a product and let it sit for 20min. That was IT! Lyndsay knew she was in the wrong. She disappeared without a thank you or goodbye or any explanation when it came time to pay. I'm disgusted. The owner offered a refund for the "difference," whatever that would be, but I refused it. No refund would make up for the lack of professionalism and the underlying feeling that I paid for services that we didn't ask for and, frankly, I'm not even sure we received. read more

Ok it's taken me years to find a hairdresser who does my hair and when I walk out I feel like a million bucks. Well I found her!!! Funny thing is, I reviewed their website before booking an appointment and I told the receptionist that I will take this girl, that girl or the other girl but I don't want this one specific girl (because she was young). The receptionist said to me, oh she's the one available and she's really good and knows what she's doing. I reluctantly said ok!!! I go in, meet with the young hairdresser Aly, and I'm just thinking ok let's do this - let's color my hair the wrong color and blow it out like I can do it. Well was I wrong. Aly was great. She did my hair color and gave me some lovely highlights right where they were needed and then she recommended giving me beach waves which I really didn't want. I wanted my hair flat ironed and she said trust me you will love it. I said I need my hair to be done for tomorrow so will the beach hair last, she said it will last for days. Well she was right, my beach hair lasted for days and I got a TON of compliments when I went into work and I absolutely loved what she did. Thank goodness I finally found a local hair dresser who knows her stuff!!! You wont see a 5 star rating from me often but Aly gets one!! read more

Would give this place 0 stars if I could. I have long curly hair and went in for a blowout. They let me leave the salon with my hair wet and full of oil because there was a knot in my hair that they couldn't get out. My hair was also shampooed 4 times by the receptionist in a sink that kept clogging, so I blame them for the knot! I left the salon in tears because I was having my engagement shoot done and they made me pay for them doing absolutely nothing besides being SO RUDE AND MEAN! I will continue to tell everyone to avoid this place at all cost. It was the worst experience I have ever had! *My appointment was at 2:45 and I was not taken to shampoo until 2:55 by the receptionist, in which she shampooed my hair 4 times, which definitely did not help. I had no idea there was a big knot in my hair until the hairstylist saw me and told me. I offered to brush it myself and I offered to go home, but she said she had it. It was never dealt with, besides putting a bunch of oil in my hair, so I still left with it in my hair. I got it out on my own. read more

First of all...This place is superbly designed makes a girl feel luxurious just stepping in. I came in to see Ashley to install my tape in extensions. She had to remove my old set, wash and prep my hair & put in the new set. She works so efficiently and expertly. I'm always blown away on how perfectly she gets my hair looking magazine cover worthy in such a short time. Ashley is very skilled with hair extensions and I completely trust her with my hair. She also has excellent customer service skills. She understood what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. The before and after photos speak for themselves. I've been wearing tape in extensions for a few years due to major hair loss from medication & continued treatment for 2 auto immune diseases. I get IV infusions every 6 weeks and not only takes a toll on my body but also my self esteem when my once long gorgeous locks fell out rapidly never to recover. Excellent color and great hair cut. I am very pleased and I have been back 3 times. The atmosphere is classy and so feminine, I love that too. They are expensive but as long as I love my hair I'm OK spending the money just not as often. Do not walk. Run! My hair was completely burned to the scalp while getting routine highlights. In addition, there have been many extensions that had gone amiss. Both are clearly stemmed from lack of proper training. Sad that South Shore residents accept this type of service as the norm. We deserve better. This is such a beautiful, relaxing space, that is truly chic and updated. I had a great experience getting a full new set of extensions, along with cut and color with Aly. Nichole, the owner of the salon was both accommodating and welcoming and has done a beautiful job creating a really relaxing and glam space to spend some time updating your look or just getting a weekly blow-dry. The nice thing about the salon is, you don't feel overwhelmed by foot traffic as there are plenty of little alcoves where the stations are set up, so you really get some time to yourself to relax and kind of just enjoy your time away from your schedule. Even my hair wash was done carefully and gently - especially being I had just micro bladed my eyebrows a day before. This is a salon with a truly well selected staff and I'm happy to have found my new salon on the South Shore! read more

I'm a girl who loves a good blow out (hate to admit it.. but I might have a membership), especially for a special event. I was in town for a bachelorette, and the bride suggested Bombshell since she was getting her hair and makeup done there, and they give 20% discount for new customers.. so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Sadly, Bombshell missed the mark.. even for the cheap price point (they got one redeeming star for the $32 blowout.. but I guess you get what you pay for) The stylist who did my blowout seem extremely disinterested in working as a stylist. When I showed her a photo of how I like my hair (as I'm a blowout frequent flyer), and mentioned to her that It was just colored so my hair is fragile/dry, she didn't respond or comment. She was rough, used tons of drying product, and did not listen to my request for tight curls without shaking out. She also didn't add volume to my hair as requested. My hair fell faster than a man jumping from a plane without a parachute, and I ended up having to fix it myself. Not to mention.. the other ladies (including the bride) either had to fix their own hair or have it fixed as well. I didn't have my make up done, but the brides make up looked ok (nothing special for $60). Also: toilet was broken and overflowing. Nothing worse than trying to pee in a toilet that's filled with poo. Free mimosas were a nice gesture.. but fairly certain it was 90% juice. Redeeming quality: cute atmosphere and decor. Looks like a shop in LA or SD. Save yourself the frustration and money.. spend a little more and get a blowout elsewhere. read more

The worst extensions I've ever seen or had, I can't believe I paid and left without saying anything until I got home. My hair was also compromised and now I'm no longer blonde but brunette because staying blonde after wasn't an option. After requesting a refund and for a manager or the owner to call me, the woman who did my hair text me and offered to fix my hair. I had already gone somewhere else and wouldn't trust them with my hair again, so that was the end of the conversation. I spent over 1200 with a surprise few charges built in and less than two packages of hair it seemed. The hair didn't match my hair or blend and there wasn't enough for my whole head. Also, this is not a dig at Sally's Beauty Supply, however, better hair extensions can be bought there. Sally's extensions last longer and are made of hair therefore, they can be curled or straightened and you'll pay 5 x less than Bombshell and get twice the hair Please go to Bombshell for a wash and blow dry, as that is what the salon is meant to be (a Blowdry Bar). Also, do your research and look other places other than the South Shore ... it'll be worth the drive and save you money and you'll leave feeling better and like you haven't been taken advantage of. read more

I went into bombshell salon with a major hair emergency. I had more roots than QuestLove and my glam platinum was more of a dingy Goldilocks - and I had to host a bachelorette party and bridal shower in just a couple of days. Bombshell to the rescue! Liz is a color expert and artist! She revived my hair and got it to the exact tone and shade of blonde I strive to achieve and few colorists ever get quite right. They really are amazing and know what they're doing. But, I can't justify paying $300 when I can get the same thing done and look just as good for $170 down the street. I want to say good things about this salon because it's very cute inside and nicely updated. However, I went in for a blow dry and the girl barely washed my hair. I could tell because underneath my head wasn't really wet at all. I figured at first it was just me, but then the actual hair stylist tried to tell me that there was build up in my hair. This confirmed my suspicions, my hair was still dirty! Obviously it seemed like build up. The blow dry would honestly be really good, but how did this hair stylist not realize that the assistant didn't wash my hair properly? The stylist seemed like she didn't really want to be dealing with me so I'm honestly not all that surprised. That being said, now I'm going to have to wash my hair tomorrow and I've thrown money out the window. Ultimately, maybe I would've had a better experience if I had different people, but I can say I'm pretty disappointed and wasted my money. read more

Excellent salon from the second you walk in the door, always greeted with a smile and a friendly conversation from the owner,receptionist even another stylist so friendly they all are. My stylist is Andrea Lema,who I I have been coming to for over over 5 years. I can't say enough she is great! she is extremely thorough, kind and AWESOME! She never makes the appointment seemed rushed! I have not once left unhappy. I have at times even suggested maybe changing the color or maybe the cut, she has always been very honest with me in expressing whether or not that would be a "good fit" and always suggesting a much better alternative.. Which I always appreciate and love.. The overall atmosphere is extremely clean and beautifully decorated. You feel comfortable right away. I watch when my color processes all the other sylists with there clients and I am always impressed not just by the excellent job they do but there overall talent and interactions amongst clients and other stylists. read more

Had a great experience getting a blowout for a wedding here! I had to leave town the next day to travel at 6am and the salon was very accommodating fitting me in the night prior and the stylist gave me great tips on preserving the blowout. The blowout lasted until the wedding and looked awesome! Curls stayed intact! The salon is very chic, pretty, and enjoyable to be in. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more
