Really nice little beach shack style restaurant just a couple of blocks from the pier. Ordered the Bomburrito, and it might be the best burrito ever made. The reason I say it "might be" is because we ordered 3 of them, so we didn't try any of the other options. But if there is a better burrito, it is probably also made here at Bomburrito. The chef/owner brought us some freshly made chips and salsa while we waited for our burritos, and when they arrived they were hot and as big as our forearms. Upon first bite we all said "this is amazing". I could tell that this was not just ordinary carnitas, it is clearly slow cooked, had a nice smoky flavor and a fall off the bone texture. We talked to the chef and he gave an overview of what he does to prepare the ingredients. The meat is cooked over a long period of time, and he makes his own beans and salsa. The surprising part is that it was not fatty at all, which is apparently on purpose and because of how the chef prepares everything. Fresh ingredients prepared slowly to perfection, if you are in Pismo Beach, or even just driving up the coast, you need to bring your appetite and stop at Bomburrito. You will be amazed! read more

First off, service was 6/5 amazing! The owner is very friendly and shared his upcoming projects for the menu and restaurant. The son? Was great at taking my order and everything went smoothly. It's maybe a 15 min wait so just dont expect drive thru times! Carne asada burrito- huge burrito! Feeds 2 and could maybe feed 3 so the price makes sense. Ingredients feel fresh and are cooked to order, at least the protein. I added guac and sour cream and sadly I couldn't really taste them. Saw traces of them in the burrito but not worth adding for me. This and lack of salsa were the major reasons for a 4 vs 5. Also felt like the components weren't ratio'd well? A lot of beans in each bite vs meat or rice. The side of chips and salsa is a nice bonus, though the chips were really salty. All that said, the food was good, portions matches price and the experience was very nice. I'll be coming back to try some other versions of their burritos! Bomburrito is the perfect place for that burrito craving in Pismo Beach. The shop is very clean, spacious, and there is an outside patio with umbrellas and heat lamps. The owner Eric was very friendly, and makes all of the burritos and chips fresh to order. He even grilled both sides of our burrito to make sure that it stayed together on our road trip. He also gave us some free stickers. When you think of a large burrito, think even bigger. Then think bigger than that. It was just that big, it could definitely feed at least 2 people. I honestly have never seen a burrito that big. It was juicy, crispy, and the meat very tender and flavorful. Bomburrito was one of our top bookmarked food joints before visiting Pismo Beach. While we appreciated the portion sizes of the dishes that made the price seem worth it, the overall taste wasn't that great. The fajita inside my quesadilla was burnt and the meat lacked sabor. If you're looking for authentic Mexican this may not be the place for you. Our quesadilla and burrito were overly fried or oily which made it unpleasant to eat. It's possible that the food wasn't good because there was only one person working who seemed to be in a pinch cooking multiple orders, and manning the front counter. Was walking by on a Saturday night and saw they were sold out so we decided to check it out on Sunday afternoon because the food had to be good if they were sold out. So glad we did because the food is incredible! The owner was such a cool guy and explained his flavors and how he made the food, service was 10000/10. The carne asada and carnitas were so flavorful. The salsas were equally as delicious and so full of flavor with the perfect amount of heat. The burrito is huge and my boyfriend and I ate half together so definitely share! Wow. This place is special. This was our first visit to Pismo and we hit the jackpot with Bomburrito. The owner is passionate about his craft and really makes everything with love. I finally tried this new burrito joint. I'm glad I did. I ordered the small Chile Verde burrito. It was huge! I can't imagine what the large looks like. I also had a small chips and salsa. I drove from AG because I got it in my mind to try this new place. I always give a spot at least one chance, even though I had already convinced myself I wasn't going to like the burrito. I was mentally prepared to give it away. The last few places that were new, I either left the food or threw it out. I'm not overly impressed with burrito sizes, and I really don't care for the other places around town that serve them, but I was committed. Walked in ... nothing impressive about the décor. Pretty basic. Ordered anyway. Carna Asada burrito with beans, cheese, sour cream and ranchero sauce. The guy behind the counter was super nice. He told me he makes everything from scratch, his mom was Mexican, and he basically grew up in the kitchen. It took a minute for my order, even with nobody else there. That's ok, I told myself it would be the last time I'd have to wait there. Then he hands me this honking burrito the size of a newborn baby and on my way out, he said, "Come back!" and I said, "I will!" and immediately felt bad ...because now I was committed to returning even if I didn't want to! Dang. I took it to the car, unwrapped it, took one bite, and instantly tasted a little piece of heaven. I honestly thought maybe it was just a lucky bite, so I ate half the burrito just to be sure. Nope, it's the real deal! Even got a few chips and a sample of their salsa, which was excellent. This picky eater won't feel guilty she promised to go back because she will! I only wish they had smaller burritos for those over 60 who don't eat quite as much and who don't want to 'save' it or waste it. We weren't disappointed. Came from Bay Area and had heard about this place so we had to try it. Food was excellent. Hot and tasty all the way through. Owner was talkative and explained all about his food. He had some great ideas about what he wants to do in the future howe I would take it slow so as not to make things over complicated. You have a really good thing going now. Stick with it and people will come. It would be nice if the chips were warm when served and then that would have put the cherry on top. I'm going to preface this by saying that I am not one to write reviews but I felt the need to download this app just to let people know how amazing this place is. My boyfriend and I dropped in yesterday for lunch and ordered the "Bomburrito" in size "big" to share. Before serving our food, the owner, Eric, came out to chat with us for a few minutes. He told us about how Bomburrito came to be and how he makes everything in-home and fresh to order using family recipes. He also talked about the reviews he's been receiving and how all have been positive except a select few that dinged him to the portions being too big... (Too big?! Who complains about getting more than what you paid for?!) He told us that because of this, he will soon be adjusting the menu to have only one size. He said since he noticed we were sharing he wanted us to experience one of the last true "bombs". The "big" cost us $19 but for the quality, amount you receive, and based on typical central coast prices, you would expect this to cost closer to $45! Eric also surprised us by making our burrito "wet and cheesy" at no charge which for reference, is worth every single penny to upgrade. I have eaten burritos up and down the coast but this was genuinely the best one I have EVER eaten. The pork was cooked to perfection (I'm very particular about how my pork is cooked and this exceeded all expectations), the flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything was super fresh. The owner is also super friendly and passionate about what he does. He takes the time to check in with every customer and gather feedback on his food. He deserves all the success! this was the best experience I've had eating out in a long time. my bf and I stopped by for lunch while visiting Pismo and was greeted by Eric who kindly and thoughtfully explained the menu to us - from jump you can tell he pours his whole heart and from the first bite you can taste that everything is made with love. from the fresh ingredients, to his knowledge about building flavors for each dish, to the atmosphere you can see that Eric does not play about quality. he is so incredibly kind and we really enjoyed chatting with him while enjoying carnitas burritos. this was one of the greatest meals we've had recently and have not stopped talking about it for the last 3 days. the serving sizes are so generous that I was able to take home my leftovers so that my fam could also try how amazingly delicious bomburrito is. can't wait to come back!!! wish I took pics but was too hungry and impatient. read more

had a great lunch here the other day. Chips and salsa were great and the quesadilla with chicken was probably the best quesadilla we've had (and living in California we have had many!). Burritos and quesadillas are grilled with cheese on the outside too , so extra tasty and not soggy at all. Owner is making everything from scratch. We had a bomburrito too and it was delicious.
