    Burrito time
    Monica M.

This is a hidden gem and perfect if you have "Sunday morning" cravings for menudo. The restaurant is located in a very small strip mall and next to a beef jerky store -- that initially caught my eye. Earlier during our stay, we were at the bus stop just catty-corner from this place and later decided to stop in for a final meal before moving on to our next adventure. There were absolutely no regrets! Based on the pictures -- which don't do the food nearly enough justice - the burritos were substantial! The food tasted as if your friend's mom made it for you. And, the salsas -- ohemgee! were delicious! I'm not normally a habanero person -- but this salsa added in small dollops was the perfect complement to the menudo -- not that the menudo needed much enhancement. The broth was scrumptious and well seasoned. I could tell that the broth was home-made / hand-made as I could taste the roastedness of it. The menudo was seasoned with even proportions of garlic, mild spice, and just plain good heartiness! And...what's more, is the tripe was CLEAN! There was definitely a lot to try -- but my tummy only had room for the menudo, sadly. Service was great, staff was super friendly and helpful. This place is not to be taken for granted.

I got the pamboza. This thing is a monster! It's on a soft, pillowy bread roll the size of my head. I've never had one before so I don't know how you are supposed to eat it, but I ate mine with a fork and knife!

Quick and easy service. My son ordered Quesabirra tacos and said they were bomb!! You should come try some and he will definitely will be back for more.

Their breakfast burrito is the best ! Homemade potatoes, eggs, cheese, and I had bacon. The green salsa was delicious. Well priced portion was generous. I'll share my pictures, they don't do it justice. Keep up the good work.

We are traveling from out of town and wanted to get some fish tacos to go. This place came up first on Yelp with great reviews when we searched "fish tacos". The service was friendly and fast. They asked us to park in to go area for delivery of order to the car. Overall the beans were best at 4.5. Red sauce spicy and delicious. I really enjoyed the green sauce. Flavorful and more mild. Rice was good too. The fish tacos were a little bit of a letdown compared to others we've tasted. Maybe it was just the fish. The pieces were larger and more breading than others and the corn tortillas slightly greasy. Cute and cozy place inside and maybe we will try something else on their menu.

Love this place! Anytime we're in the area, this is our go to spot. Reminds us of that neighborhood family restaurant of our youth. Great delicious, authentic Mexican food.

Great little place. Menu has lots of options. They were accommodating and made me a vegan sope. Was delicious! Staff was very friendly.

    Pambazo

The food was bomb.com. We had the quesadilla. a tamal de jalapeño and mozzarella, and a pambazo. So those that have had a pambazo from El DF, it's not necessarily the same, but it's full of flavor. The quesadilla was pretty good, the carne was humbly seasoned (just salt and pepper). The tamal was pretty good. When we talked to the waiter, he was super cool and mentioned some spicier salsas. He gave us a habanero and a salsa macha. Oh, man both of them were super delicious and made the food that much better. My husband liked the green salsa, on the table too...a bit mild for my taste, but if he liked it then others will, too. I like my salsas to burn The place is cool. It had plenty of seating, they keep it pretty clean and they have specials on the board.

    Chorizo breakfast burrito!

Chorizo burrito all day at Morenos! I mean I don't know if they serve them all day but they should! Let's talk about the homemade red salsa! Wow! Just wow! It needs its own 5 stars. Service was average for a busy morning and when a place is good you will wait a bit. Plenty of seating to sit and enjoy your breakfast with the family!

The space has a cool, modern vibe while still feeling welcoming, and everything was spotless--it honestly looks brand new and very well maintained. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable lingering a bit longer and enjoying your meal. The only small downside for me was that the chips and salsa were served at the same time as the main dishes. I would have preferred to have them brought out earlier as a starter, just to enjoy them before the meal arrived. Overall, it's more than just a quick bite--it's a place we'd gladly come back to for both the food and the inviting environment.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Eric at the door -- and it's always nice when the first person you see makes you feel welcome. He walked us to our table, chatted with us, and even remembered us from 7 months ago, including where we sat! It seems like remembering guests is a theme in this town, and we love that hometown feeling. This visit, I made sure to take photos of the food, and we also left with a bag full of their homemade salsa and hot sauce. I only wish they sold these at grocery stores back home in Los Angeles because we would definitely buy them! Thankfully they ship!!! Melissa was our server and was wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and very accommodating with my husband's dairy allergy. My husband ordered the vegetarian burrito, and wow... it was packed with fresh green veggies you could literally see through the tortilla - my see photos! I asked Melissa for a recommendation between the shredded chicken burrito and the carne asada burrito, and she suggested the carne asada. I took her advice and ordered it as a wet burrito with sour cream -- and it did not disappoint! We love the friendly service, the homemade flavors, and the welcoming atmosphere at Zorros. We're already looking forward to our next visit to Pismo Beach and another breakfast here!

Note that the parking lot, depending on which day you go, can fill up very quickly. The location is right off of the 101 and easy to find. We checked in and was seated within 10 minutes at a booth that overlooked the beautiful views of the Pismo Beach coast line. Our server, a younger black woman, who told us her nickname was 'TiTi', if I'm not mistaken, was wonderful. Her personality and hospitality was infectious and exceeded 5 stars. She brought us fresh hot corn and flour tortillas with a small cup of brown sugar butter and three different salsas to try. Everything was delicious. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a jumbo shrimp on top of a filet mignon that rested on mash potatoes and a creamy/savory white sauce. We also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. I waited 45 minutes and paid $6 dollars for this piece of crap (will attach a pic) i got the vegetarian taco, which you would think they could at least add some cheese to it for flavor but nope. Also, for a place called "The gril", you would think that the vegetables WOULD actually be grilled, but no, they were not. The rice was dry, and the beans had no flavor. I literally could not eat it and left half of it there. My server felt so bad she insisted on not taking a tip. So because of this crappy company, my server did not get a tip. I would have insisted, but I didn't have cash, and she would not allow me to add a tip to my card charge because she knew I waited 45 minutes for a fu*king vegetable taco ‍ Honestly, I think they screwed up and forgot, because there's no way it should have taken that long, and she knew that....she kind of flinched and grimaced, and she said "I'm sorry, I think they got backed up" and kind of rolled her eyes as if to say, I think they fu*ked up, she even said quietly to me "I think maybe they forgot". This was for the live music event on Friday, 6/19 at Claiborne & Churchill. The music was great, The servers/ wine stewards were amazing, but the food was horrible. At least my taco was. if I ever see La Parilla serving food again anywhere I am, I will not order anything! BLECH. Oh, also I asked for no onions, and they couldn't even get that right. In one of my pictures, you will see onions that I pulled aside on the plate. I could have pulled aside more, but I was wolfing down what I could after waiting 45 miinutes for a frigging shit*y vegetarian taco that was crap when I got finally got it. NOT worth the wait. No cheese, no sour cream, no guacamole....just dry rice, flavorless beans, and a few pieces of bell pepper, plus onions - which I asked to NOT HAVE. What a pathetic, underflavored, overpriced taco. Ironically, I drove by Hannah's tacos food truck earlier, and I should have just bought some tacos from them. They are, I think $3 per taco, and 10 times better than this crap was
