I was flying in from Boston for the first time from the Bay Area so I really wanted to check out BON! I was interested in trying their matcha flavors and they had SO many different flavors that all sounded so yummy. I ended up ordering an iced coconut banana matcha and the pairing worked so well! Easily one of the best flavored matcha I've been able to try. Their chocolate dipped rolled croissant was also so adorable and paired so well with my drink!
I ordered the seasonal brown butter oat latte and this is one of the best iced lattes I've ever had! It was just a little salty and a little sweet, a perfect blend. The line can get kind of long and there's limited seating inside so it's probably best to order your drink to go.

This place has been on a list for a while now. I was in the area and decided to get a morning pick me up. I ordered a coconut matcha and an almond croissant. The total came down to $16 and some change. For two basic items this seems very expensive. The matcha was whisked to order however, the taste was very sweet and artificial. The croissant was also not flaky, it was soft and squishy. The almond paste inside was very sweet and tasted artificial. They have some seats with outlets inside if you want to sit. Overall for the price tag I would go elsewhere. Wasn't worth it.
I ordered one of their current summer specials - the Salted Cloud Iced Latte. I thought it was fantastic! On the sweeter side, but a great flavor profile overall, plus it was a quick experience from ordering to receiving my drink! I will say - I did not plan to stay inside, but there is not much seating so this is a stop & go type of place!
Absolutely loved the drinks we chose - Golden fig iced latte, hot americano and raspberry iced matcha were all 10/10 no notes! The banana muffin was also delicious - the streusel on top was the best part. I was not a fan of the pistachio croissant. It was overly sweet and the croissant portion was dry and hard. I would not recommend the croissants but the rest of the food and drinks were great. The venue is small so I definitely recommend getting items to go as there isn't a lot of more to sit or stand and enjoy your food and drinks. The service was fast and easy, but the staff was definitely more interested in chatting with each other than they were creating a welcoming environment. The drinks were definitely worth it to visit again, but I'd just get drinks only to go on my next visit.
WOW. Their latte was simply phenomenal. So well made. Beautiful ratio of espresso to milk and the "icing" on top being the salted maple cream. This was hands down the best latte I've had to date and I've had a "few". It was so good that I went to compliment the staff that made it haha. We also ordered a stuffed pistachio croissant which was also delicious. Crunchy on the outside, with sweet pistachio cream on the inside. It's a small cafe with very limited seating. But we had no difficulty in finding a table and enjoying the pretty decorations they put up for the season.
Pretty small coffee shop this is. There is room in the back area to sit and enjoy your coffee but not many options. I went on a holiday Monday and it was pretty busy. I am sure it's like worse on weekends so I highly recommend going early, as I am sure the line will be long. I got a honey cinnamon iced latte. I do like their cups it comes in. They had ran out of straws when I was there at 11:30am. So it was a bit hard to drink my coffee as I kept on taking on and off the little part on the lid that has the drink part. Service was a bit slow as well. Coffee was good.
The area is a little tight, so don't expect there to be space when it's busy....There is pop music playing at a good volume, so if you want to focus/study without headphones...might want to reconsider and go someplace else. That being said, the staff is nice, the matcha is yum (a bit pricey but I mean it's Bon), and there is also just the aesthetics of the place too (plus the "fancy" cups). The vanilla matcha latte was definitely sweeter than the iced matcha latte, so if you want something sweet maybe consider getting something else.
We'd seen tons of people walking around with their red-lid cups, mostly near the Boston Public Garden, but I never stopped to ask where they got them, until I actually wanted one. Of course, no one was around with a cup at that moment. After some quick Instagram searching, I finally found it... and had a total facepalm moment because we had walked right past it the day before on a walking tour and even stopped in front of it! The shop is small but clean. I really wanted to try their viral banana matcha, but they were all out of banana, so disappointing because it looked amazing on Instagram. I went with the Iced Cardamom Rose Latte instead. At first, I thought it had espresso, but it didn't. When I asked, the staff were so friendly and offered to add a shot of espresso, which they did, super kind and appreciated! I also loved that they have an ADA-friendly elevator, since there are a few steps to get into the business. Small shop, friendly staff, and great drinks, definitely worth a visit.
bon matcha is really good and the location is next to the boston commons which makes it a great stop for anyone sightseeing in the area. they have seasonal flavors that change every so often.
The price of drinks these days are quite pricey but the drink itself was pretty tasty! Since there's not too many good matcha places in Boston, I'd spend my money here. The interior is kind of small but there's some seating. I like how the shop was decorated and the workers were nice.

Pretty humid and ofc, a cold matcha is a must! I bump this place while walking around. Came inside and was greeted happily. The place is small but had few tables and chairs where you can dine & enjoy your order. I got Salted Honey Cloud Matcha and t'was pretty good. I should've told her though to make it 50% sweet coz it was way too sweet for my taste. Overall t'was okay. I enjoyed it. My order came in immediately so my thirst got its remedy. The most overhyped coffee in boston.... BUTTT rightfully so! Omg in 1 week I visited 4x times, and i'm 30 minutes away. My favorite is their special salted cloud iced latte. It was perfect! They are very efficient, and the shop is very vibey and cool. It's a must visit!! read more

Honestly this is the best iced coffee I've had SO FAR in Boston. It is a little pricy but I personally don't mind for a good quality product. This was perfectly sweet and bitter-- I have absolutely no complaints. Customer service was great, they didn't mind me staying and doing school work for a few hours. Service was quick as well. Interior is small and cute... pretty chilly but no big deal. Overall, definitely recommended this place!!! Their menu is limited yet versatile read more

Finally tried this popular new spot, and I can't say I was overly impressed. The inside feels extremely cramped with little seating and very loud music, but to be fair the service was pretty friendly and quick, even with hand-whisking the matcha. Also, their menu is one of the most impressively extensive ones I've seen for matcha in the city, offering a wide variety of flavors. However, I felt that even with a decent strawberry flavor, the matcha taste itself was lacking and even had a strange almost chemical taste accompanying it. Besides this, the portion size is good, the cup is a nice aesthetic, and the matcha has a smooth and creamy texture. For the high price, though, I can't say this stop is entirely worth it. I'd be interested to try other flavors, but generally probably wouldn't recommend it unless you happen to be nearby and get a strong craving. read more

I personally think this place is worth the hype! I've only been here for their drinks so I can't speak on their food. I've been twice and I absolutely loved the tiramisu latte. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I also was walking all day and asked if I could get tap water and one of the staff members gave it to me in a huge cup with ice in it which was so sweet. The space is cute inside but not that much seating so if you can find one great but if not definitely good for grab and go drinks. The only thing is I couldn't find the trash can easily and I don't know if I missed it or what! Overall, it's a super fun place to get your drink and walk around the common after since it's right next to there! read more

I got the iced coconut matcha latte (w oat milk) - TASTE: 4/5 - loved the strong coconut undertone to the matcha, tasty! PRICE: 4/5 - tis $8.50 for all of the iced matcha drinks SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - the 16oz size satisfied my sweet craving SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 2:45pm on a Sunday and waited 5min in line. The matcha was great especially for it being in Boston. It was an easy walk over from the commons and the service was fairly quick as we went later in the day. Overall a very fun hip place indoors and casual. I thought the matcha was great just super overpriced in my opinion. It was close to $10 do the matcha alone. read more

This cafe had the most disappointing croissants I've had in all of Boston. I got a plain croissant and a pistachio wheel croissant and both of them were incredibly stale. I even went right at 7 when they opened for fresh pastries but was met with rock hard croissants. To make it worse, the plain croissant was so clearly just a Costco croissant. Don't get me wrong, Costco croissants aren't bad, but they definitely aren't worth almost $5 and they aren't good when they've been sitting out for days. The only redeeming quality was the pistachio wheel, but only because the filling made the inside semi moist. The outer edge was so hard I could probably use it to knock someone out. Heed the reviews of others and do not spend your money here! read more

10/10 experience!! Came here multiple times while visiting Boston. On my last day I couldn't decide if I wanted one last pistachio latte (sooo good) or if I wanted to try their matcha. The owner was near the register, overheard, and told me to get my pistachio latte and gave me a matcha for free. Wish we weren't across the country so we could keep coming back. Highly highly recommend! read more
I was in the area so I decided to check this place out for their matcha! The cafe is pretty small and cozy inside with cute holiday decorations and some seating. I ordered a croissant and the banana matcha and was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the matcha and the subtle sweetness of the drink. They also heated up the croissant for me which was delicious. The workers were all very friendly and the service was swift. read more

The place itself is cute and clean, and service was very quick with a super friendly cashier, which I appreciated. Parking, however, was a bit of a challenge. I tried the strawberry matcha latte, which came in an adorable cup--but unfortunately, the drink didn't live up to its looks. There was barely any matcha flavor, and the freeze-dried strawberries left an odd aftertaste. It mostly tasted like oat milk with a touch of fruit, but almost no matcha. For a drink that cost over $10 with tax, I was hoping for more in terms of flavor. It's a nice spot for aesthetics and service, but I probably wouldn't order this drink again. read more

I'm always looking for a new cafe to try, but as we all know, trendy spots can be hit or miss. I've been seeing BON! pop up on my feed A LOT & everything looked too good, to not try. So, they're located right by the State House & their prices are definitely on the higher side, but to be honest, very similar to Starbucks' prices, ~$6-7 for 16oz iced drink/12oz hot & ~$7-9 16oz iced/12 oz hot, & these prices don't reflect add ons + milk alternatives. I wished they had a better case for the baked goods + pastries, I feel like they could've displayed them a little better. Anywho, I ended up getting a large iced honey cinnamon latte $8.00 & a sweet cheese croissant $5.50 to try. The coffee was yummy, not too sweet, so it was right up my alley! The cheese croissant was pretty good, so I'd say I am pretty satisfied & pleased w/ my experience at Bon! Would come back again but probably not often since this area is super congested usually & parking can be tricky. read more
Bon has a pretty solid strawberry matcha latte! The line is long and there's barely any space inside to wait for your drink to come out but I'm telling you, I would wait in that line again just so I can get this drink again lol. read more
I can't lie, the cute cups pulled me in to trying Bon in downtown Boston. The staff couldn't have been more sweet and was patient with me as I perused the menu. I ended up going with a banana latte with oat milk. It was about 10 dollars. The drink was very good and not overly sweet which I liked. I don't think it was good enough to warrant the price but I enjoyed it nonetheless and would totally come back to treat myself. read more

By far the best pistachio latte I've ever had - not too sweet and tasted like they'd been toasted somehow? So good. The staff is super friendly too! Great little shop and atmosphere as well. 10/10 recommend. Favorite coffee shop I've been to in Boston so far and I've blown through 4 or 5 that people say are the "best" read more

Wanted to like this place more than I did. Drinks were on the pricier side and not worth it at all, matcha was very watery and lacked flavor. Cafe itself was very loud with like EDM type music and felt like it was going for a club vibe? Which may have worked with dimmer lighting or in the evening but it felt a little strange at midday. Limited seating either way. Would not return for either the drinks or the cafe space at this point. read more

I really liked bon! They had a cute sleek interior and a decently large matcha menu. I got the strawberry matcha and it was very pretty. It tasted like a traditional matcha, mostly bitter with a hint of strawberry. My preference is to have stronger fruity notes so they actually let me add extra strawberry syrup and toppings- then it was perfect! Overall they were really nice there and this was a cool spot. I heard they are adding new summer matcha flavors next week too- might be worth a revisit! read more
