This is a small bakery in downtown Boston. There's only a few seats and they serve drinks and pastries. The pastries are Asian influenced with flavors like black sesame mochi, thai milk tea croissant, kimchi beef wellington, passion yuzu, and much more. I recommend coming earlier as they sold out of some pasteries that we wanted to try. We ended up getting the Jasmine Breeze which was a mousse that contained lychee and peach. It was good and wasn't too sweet so we enjoyed it. It's about $8-$10 for most of the pastries. For a drink we got the black sesame milk which was okay, but mostly ice. The only cons are that I wish they decorated the cafe a bit more as it feels a bit sterile. Moreover, the employees could be more friendly and welcoming. read more

It's a tiny bakery with big flavors and cool concoctions. Maybe 10 seats inside, so be prepared to take it to go. If you're lucky you might be able to grab a stool but it's tight in there. You order at the counter and they call you when it's ready. They have a specialty drink menu but also offer the regular favorites. I tried this Biscoff iced latte which was pretty good. It wasn't too sweet. It had tiny cookie crumbles on the top. Yummy. Highly recommend the Salt bread if you don't want anything too sweet in terms of food. Overall this bakery matches my preferences as I don't like crazy amounts of sugar. The pastries are all pretty awesome, many with unique flavors. It's in a central spot, but the entrance is a little hidden you walk down a hallway shared with a Mexican restaurant, so keep an eye out. The bakery itself is super cute, and the pastries are honestly little works of art. I got the pear "Whisp" ($10). It tasted good, but the real star is how beautiful everything looks. Street parking might be tough but there are a couple garages nearby. Service was fast and friendly. The cafe itself was okay...simple with a few tables. I didn't know what to get so I tried two different fruit desserts. This worked out cause I wanted to share with my hubby. The flavors of each of them were pretty tasty, and the textures were interesting. Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of the jelly like textured desserts but the Yuzu won me over! Very unique selections of croissants, pastries and cakes. Their pastries look like work of art. The weather was a bit cold so I went for the croissants instead of the special looking cakes that was shaped like a coffee cup or the pear. Rose Matcha latte was very good! I also enjoyed the three desserts I tried today. None of them was too sweet. The sweetness level was just right. It's a really small cafe so I would not recommend if your group is more than 4people. There are only about 8 stools in the cafe for you to sit but they are extremely uncomfortable so you probably won't sit long. read more

Like most people, you probably seen Fuful somewhere on social media, and being the bandwagoner I am, I just had to try. The bakery is tucked a little farther out near the water front and was a little tight (read: cramp) when we got in, but that might be due to it's recent opening/hype. My friend and I got 4 croissants (Corn, Mochi Black Sesame, Pandan, and Matcha) and were mixed on all four. The corn was by far the most disappointing. The corn creme was sooo good, but imagine my dismay when I bit in and found that the creme was only on the top! :( Maybe I got a defective batch, but I was looking forward to it the most out of the four. The black sesame and pandan were good, albeit I didn't know where the mochi was in the black sesame? The Matcha croissant was by far the most filled, but unfortunately I'm not the biggest Matcha fan (I know, I'm sorry), so it ended in a bittersweet (literally) note. Stopped by Fuful Bakery while I was in the area. Small casual bakery with Asian inspired flavors and French style pastries. They also offer a selection of coffee, teas including matcha and sandwiches. They are mostly known for their various pastries like Korean mochi and salt bread, specialty filled croissants, and their beautiful mousse based desserts. I ordered a few things to try, and everything was very good. My favorite so far was the sweet corn croissant and the Pandan teok mochi like bread. The one downside is that the line moves fairly slowly as the cashier was mainly fulfilling all the orders including drinks, but it's a small space and I understand some spots aren't as efficient, but are worth the wait! My mom loved the blueberry shaped mousse cake, very light and flavorful. I definitely will go again to try more pastries and maybe a drink as well! read more

A small quieter bakery tucked away close to the waterfront. There's some seating but none of it was taken when I went. Very tidily put together and displays were full when I went around 10am! Food: - matcha yuzu pain suisse: delicious, great strength of matcha and yuzu cut through nicely. The outside of the pastry was extremely sticky and the matcha powder would become airborne if I breathed while too close. However the flavor profile was just so good it's still a 5/5. I was super excited to check out the brick and mortar shop after following Fulful Bakery during their pop up days but never being in town during their farmer's market pop ups. This new location near the Financial District is super cute and cozy inside with a good amount of small tables to sample their pastries. We grabbed a couple to take away but had to try one then and there. I definitely had decision paralysis seeing all the delicious pastries but ended up choosing the beef wellington, corn cream croissant, and salted egg yolk croissant. They offered to heat up the salted egg yolk croissant for dine-in which was so nice! For savory pastries especially it's always nice to have an option to eat them warm. We also got an osmanthus latte to try. Overall all the pastries were delicious and I especially liked the corn cream which had a delicious cream center with a nice flaky exterior. Often with cream filled pastries, the pastry itself gets a bit soggy and Fuful's was great! I also really liked the salted egg yolk croissant which was shaped like an onigiri and a ton of salted egg yolk cream inside. Loved it! Came to try the Portuguese egg tarts but they weren't out of the oven yet. We decided to wait the 30 mins and grab a coffee because we really wanted to try them. The staff were very nice and gave us an extra tart for the longer wait which was very nice of them. Tart was sooo good! The pastry was flaky and went so well with eggy custard filling. We went strictly on a mission to get the 3d fruit pastry that my daughter spied on TikTok. I'm not easily impressed with pastry but oh my golly - these delivered! I got the peach and she got mango. I was super excited to visit fuful at their downtown brick and mortar. Their menu is full of unique pastries and drinks with asian flavors which makes this a must visit if you're into that. They do have a counter and some seating that isn't too cramped. Only caveat is their signature pastries are mostly $8.95 and up. I plan to return with a friend so we can split a couple items, but the cost is high with the pastries being on the smaller side. The regular croissant and pain au chocolat are standard price and are some of the best I've had in Boston. Staff is super kind and helpful with recommendations and are quick to serve customers. I love Fuful! Its a small space with a modern minimalist aesthetic, but a nice option for seating. This asian french fusion bakery serves pastries that are equal parts beautiful and tasty. The thai tea croissant was very sweet but really did taste like thai tea and had a nice buttery flake. I tried the yuzu matcha croissant and the pandan bow tie croissant. I was especially excited for the pandan one since pandan is one of my favorite dessert flavors. The croissant was super flaky on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a generous amount of matcha cream inside as well. My only critique is that I wish the pandan flavor were a bit stronger, but otherwise the pastries and the cafe overall are nice. I drove from home an hour away to go this place and so upset. I went to Fulful last week and had a really disappointing experience. When I asked which items were popular, the staff didn't seem interested in helping or giving recommendations. I also had trouble pronouncing the name of one of the bakery items, and instead of helping me, they didn't make any effort to clarify or double-check my order. Because of that, my order was wrong. I asked for two pandan items to go, but I only received one, so I had to order again. The staff didn't seem to care, and there was no sense of friendliness or good customer service. It didn't feel welcoming at all, which is why I didn't feel comfortable leaving a tip. A new bakery in Boston that has beautiful pastries and desserts. The shop is small, but there are a few tables if you want to dine in with friends. From the two front displays full of goods, it took me a while to decide what I wanted to try. I decided on the triple black sesame mochi, Earl gray chestnut croissant, truffle bechamel roll, mango glow, and the passion Yuzu. My favorite savory item was the truffle bechamel roll that was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I would've wanted the black sesame roll to be similar, but it wasn't really crispy or flakey. The chestnut had good flavor and the Earl gray cream was filled inside, but the overall crunch of the croissant wasn't there. Out of the two sweet desserts, I enjoyed the passion Yuzu flavor more, altho the mango looks prettier. The service was quick and the pricing isn't absurd, but I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. So happy this place opened with some actual creative flavors other than all of the other copycat bakeries. Kudos to them for having pandan - awesome SE Asian flavor that deserves more recognition! I would say their pandan leans a little less on the Kaya taste and honestly could use a bit of improvement to truly capture what you would get in a Singapore or Malaysian bakery, perhaps using some palm sugar in the recipe would help. This is of course me being very picky. The Thai tea croissant is amazingly balanced and loved the rice crispies! Salted egg leans more savory than I expected - I was hoping for a mix of salty and sweet and could benefit from some condensed milk. Sweet corn was awesome, very little critique there! I arrived 30min after opening and they were a bit late getting all their items out, so I had to wait around 20mins to get what I wanted. Overall I'm very excited for this business and am I huge supporter! All the points above are minor critiques because I truly want these flavors to shine as it will be many people's first experiences with them. I still give five stars. I came here as the bakery looks very nice. I got Matcha yuzu and chestnut earl grey. I got a bit disappointed at Matcha yuzu as the yuzu portion is only that little lemon strip and yuzu custard on the top. The filling is matcha cream. It still tastes pretty good and the bakery itself is so crispy. The chestnut earl grey has the chestnut puree on the top and earl grey cream in the middle. The earl grey flavor is pretty mild though. It's definitely expensive as it's $8.95 each but the size is pretty big as well. I get so full after eating 1.5 of it. The matcha latte it ordinary. It would be a lot better if they serve with a cup with some latte art. They have some seating inside. Noon time during weekend is not too busy, but gets busier after noon time. read more

We got to sample their offerings at the SOWA Summer Market. Since we came later in the day, a lot of their more popular items were already sold out, but we still managed to try a nice variety. We had the Dubai Chocolate Pretzel, Croissant Egg Tarts, and Ube Mochi Roll. The egg tarts were solid, with that classic flavor you'd expect. The croissant shell was flakier and tougher than I typically prefer, but still well made. The Dubai chocolate pretzel had a great balance of flavor, whcih was not too sweet, just right. The Ube Mochi roll was the one I didn't really vibe with. It looked great but didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for. read more

Be honest it was my first time going to this bakery shop this afternoon. It was worth driving 20 minutes from my home and finding parking nearby and I looked at the pastries. They all look different but what I learn is to not to judge by the look, they taste very good and it's really worth the price you're paying for and it's something different from most bakery shops and I recommend a lot of people to come to this place and try out their pastries and really try the apple. It's really good. It has real apple inside of it and it has a cream and chocolate. The mango taste so delicious and it tastes exactly like mango and you should try to Dubai chocolate croissant it is so delicious and it was the best taste I ever tasted in years at a bakery shop.
