Came here years old and came back to try again and still had not disappoint. This is definitely my go to spot for breakfast! Such cozy vibes and very inviting. They make their coffee and matcha just right, their breakfast selection is amazing starting from pastries to even their steel cut oatmeal. The staff members here are nice and friendly. All very accommodating which is very appreciative! Every time I come here is already busy and crowded but the line moves fast. Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and a cold brew while waiting on my friends. The sausage, egg, and cheese on english muffin was delicious and served up piping hot. And the cold brew came with its own house syrup choices, and I picked the honey cinnamon syrup option. Stopped here for breakfast on new years day. The line went fast as they have 3 registers. The girl taking care of me was super nice. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito and a honey cinnamon latte. My friend got a latte with a different flavor and we both agreed it was a good latte but the flavors were barely recognizable. My other friend got a hot chocolate which he said is always great. My friend and I also agreed the chorizo breakfast burrito maybe needed more cheese, I just added mayo though and it was good! Their little treats looks really good as well. My friend and I came here for an afternoon pick-me-up. There's plenty of seats and the menu is quite extensive. A great little spot for sure!! Their coffees are good, small but yummy and I like some of their more creative offerings! The pastries definitely shine and I always enjoy the sandwiches. Would highly recommend getting them on the focaccia rather than sourdough but that's maybe just me. The seating is cute and always has some spots open. Thinking Cup is no longer the newest spot on the block for a pastry, with Bakey having opened it's doors during the pandemic. But from my handful of visits at both, I have to give it to the Thinking Cup for pleasant service, and they definitely hold their own for the pastries. I love their almond croissants, as do many others likely, since they are out of the pastry by the time I mosey over after work sometimes. But that only caused me to discover the yumminess of their sweet and savory bacon scones. So good! The seasonal pumpkin cheesecake was a nice light treat that wasn't too sweet. read more

Gross. I got the cold brew and it tasted like bean water. For help with flavor I added soy milk from the counter (that wasn't kept chilled, should be noted) - and it didn't do a thing. I tossed it after a few more sips, which I dont think I have ever done with a coffee. It was also filled so heavily with large cubes of ice (which made the water melt even faster into it - turning it into actually water instead of even bean water). I've been to Thinking Cup a handful of times and it's always packed, even though there's plenty of seating. It's located right on Newbury Street, so it's no wonder it's a popular spot! I usually come more for the vibes and to hang out for a bit if I'm walking around the area, which is what people there seem to be doing there most of the time. I haven't tried any of their food items, but they've got all the café classes. If I was hungry, I'd probably go to Tatte instead. However, this has more of a typical café feel if that's more of your vibe. I'll be back! read more

Extremely rude and not welcoming at all! The skinny guy with glasses, Boston cap, and black sweater with flowers was extremely rude and was soft spoken and was impatient when I couldn't hear him. The seating at this location is very warm and cozy with great lighting if you choose stay a while which you should. The food/pastries are mid besides a Nutella croissant I had ages ago, but the hot cappuccinos are delightful and come in beautiful ceramic mugs with pretty latte art! My favorite is the blueberry cornmeal cake, a round muffin-like treat with moist and subtly flavored cake, and fresh blueberries. Second would be the Morning Glory muffin. I've had one of their breakfast sandwiches which was piping hot and flavorful though not with spectacular ingredients (go to Patty and Mike's for your breakfast sandwich needs).
