It's so convenient to be able to go in and out fast for meat to cook for the moment or for later in the week. I see so many returning customers leaving with platters for carne asada sadly I don't see any of those customer leaving reviews or they would tell you this place deserves 5 stars. The cashier and carnicero is always polite and the place is inviting. I didn't know the difference between chorizo fresco and seco and he pleasantly explained and now I buy it every time I come in for chicken, steak.

We shopped at…read morethe Lynwood, South Gate, and Huntington Park locations because the quality used to be consistently good. Unfortunately, over the past several months, the quality has gone downhill. The meat has become extremely thick, tough, and rubbery. Even after cooking it properly, it's so difficult to chew that we've ended up throwing much of it away. That's especially frustrating considering how expensive meat has become. I've even asked the employees several times to please give me thinner cuts. They always assure me they have, but when I get home and cook it, the meat is still thick and tough. We finally decided to start buying our meat from Carnicería Guadalajara instead, and the difference has been huge. Their meat is tender, easy to chew, and feels like it's actually worth the money. I truly hope this carnicería improves its quality because it used to be one of our favorite places to shop. Right now, though, I can't recommend it based on our recent experiences.

I love cooking Mexican cuisine especially making my own salsas and finding a wide variety of dried chiles and spices in one place and in those amounts is hard. This little shop has it! Thinking of making mole, salsas, enchilada sauce? You'll find all the ingredients here. Please note they do not have fresh peppers but dried peppers. From a wide variety of chiles- guajillo, cascabel, pastilla, ancho, and more to dried herbs and nuts. They have it all! Wear masks and keep a safe distance to protect the employees. They are very helpful and friendly, so don't go in there if you don't believe in masks. We love this little shop and their staff.

Everyone is so welcoming and it is such a great time supporting vendors. There are tons of vendors to choose from, and so many healthy and delicious options. Did I mention that some vendors also offers samples of their delicious fruit? If I am not mistaken, they accept EBT vouchers or have a system in place for those who do receive it. There are some vendors selling food like pupusas and sandwiches which I have yet to try, but the line is always long which is definitely a good sign. Definitely recommend grabbing a bag (or many) of popcorn from the vendor who sells them. They are delicious and always a wonderful snack. I really like how there are healthier options being presented in my city and wish there were more of these farmers markets in Southeast Los Angeles. It does get a bit busy around 10 am and most items like the baked goods are gone by 1 pm so be sure to plan accordingly. I think visiting the farmers market and having a picnic at this park after would be a wonderful idea! Definitely worth checking out.

It's fairly small, but there are plenty of vendors with ample supplies of fresh fruits and vegetables and some flowers. My FAVORITE part though, is the fact that they don't have a BUNCH of other vendors selling stuff that, in this reporter's opinion, belong in a Farmers Market. Some places have people selling music, books, etc. and they should go to the swap-meet instead making it harder for people to get to the stuff that belongs there. I'll be back! Probably every week now that I'm retired. More photos next time.
