A neighbor had a great preview of his scary demented clowns for Halloween and treated the neighborhood to the Recess Truck! (So full disclosure that I did not pay for my tasty treats, nor do I know how much they cost). The service was fast and friendly. Between a group of us, I sampled an ice cream sundae, a "banana split," and an ice cream cookie sandwich. All were tasty; the cookie sandwich was a bit too much (though that's great for some people), and the "banana split" had some dried banana slices, as opposed to a real banana. Recess Ice Cream truck is the BEST!!! This weekend was my niece's 4th birthday drive by anti social. They showed up on time, catered to screaming children's ice cream needs and even stayed an extra half hour for the later crowd. There were many dessert options to choose from: ice cream, toppings included, cookie sandwich, mocha ice cream and even slushes. I was blinded by the sunlight and the hot weather that I foolishly ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I was able to recover for a bit and chose mochi and cookie crumble for toppings. The taste? Typical supermarket ice cream however, there's nothing wrong with that. I could've done without the mochi. I'm pretty sure the cookie crumble was Chip Ahoy's. I'm not sure of the price since it was covered due to it being complimentary for us employees. I would've paid no greater than 3 bucks for my ice cream. read more
