I didn't want to cook and this place has a decent selection of dishes to go with rice. Great to have this addition to the food court at Brentwood Mall. It seems to specialize in roast meat -- pork, char siu, duck and soy chicken. They also sell beef brisket and wonton noodle soup. Prices start from $13.99 for a 1-item combo but on average you are looking at $17 for a meal here. I tried the roast pork and soy chicken rice and it was ok. I wished the roast pork skin was crispier. The chicken was better. I did feel the meat was on the saltier side. I would want to try the beef brisket and radish dish next time.

Cantonese style BBQ place inside the new Brentwood Mall food court. Parking is available in the lots surrounding the building. Selection is pretty typical, with stuff like BBQ pork, roast pork, and roast duck. This place also has food court food, which somewhat sets it apart from most of the competition. Pricing is a few bucks more than the non food court BBQ places, which is expected. Quality is decent but nothing special. Might be because I came by towards the end of the day. The meat was on the dry side. Guessing it sat there all day. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point, though there are other places around town.

Our little family often find ourselves in Brentwood Mall's Table food court when hubby and I are both lazy to cook and are craving different cuisines. It's great that more concessionaires have finally opened and added more variety to Tables. Tried Bona Fide BBQ since I was craving HK BBQ food and I haven't tried them yet. Pricing was fair and portions were great. Enjoyed the flavours of both the pork and chicken. Liked their ginger scallion sauce that went well with the meat. Line was a bit long when I was there but moved fairly quick. Great addition to Brentwood and looking forward to trying more of their offerings.

Sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, and pork fried rice.

Terrible price and portion size. No vegetables in sweet and sour pork and the sesame chicken was mushy and had zero sesame flavour or seeds. Will not finish my meal and certainly will not return

It's a lot and generous. It's very cost-effective, so I recommend you to go when you're hungry

This is a good BBQ meat option at the mall. My favourite is their BBQ duck and rice combo. Quality is good. Meal is quite filling for the price. Service is always fast and efficient.

I'm so glad to have a HK BBQ joint nearby for quick and easy comfort food! The prices are a bit higher but - I guess the name of the game is inflation for all. I went near the end of the day so they were sold out of roasted pork and some of the combo items. I opted to try the chasiu and I thought it tasted good. Portion is a bit small in my opinion but that could just be my gluttony speaking on my behalf. Overall - I am pleased with my experience and happy to welcome this in the neighbourhood! staff wore masks as of September 7, 2022.

This worst wonton bbq noodle I ever had and the most expensive $26.08 It was the staff mistake . The most nasty wonton and soggy noodle. Staff make a mistake honor instead the shit was over price. I don't mind paying if it was good but over priced and was nasty. Don't bother coming to this place.

Bona fide bbq at the amazing Brentwood food court! This Asian roasted and bbq meats food stall is a new one at Brentwood and it's getting busy! Reminds me of places like in crystal mall and just eating these kinds of food is nostalgic for me. I think it's quite a good deal for the amounts of meat you get with rice, it sure is a filling lunch meal! I got roasted bbq pork on rice, when you order one type of meat the container will separate the rice from the meat. I like how crispy the bbq pork skin is! Absolutely delicious and my most favourite meat to eat. Also we got two kinds of bbq meats the roasted bbq duck and honey bbq pork (also known as char siu) with rice. The container for this one is just all rice at the bottom and the meats on top. Kinda felt like there is even more rice for this option. Also the downside of the container is that the rice sticks to it.

Had really good HK roasted pork on rice here at Bona Fide. Fast service and decent quality meat. Definitely would recommend this spot in the Brentwood Food Court.

2-items combo with rice - Sweet / sour pork , sesame chicken

Always fresh and yummy , inside the Brentwood mall 2nd floor food court . Peaceful environment, tasty foods, always delicious and yummy fresh, there were big tables for large family or small table for one ... always enjoy the ambiance

Bonafide BBQ is conveniently located in the Amazing Brentwood Tables food court. When I have cravings for BBQ duck, I come here and order their bbq duck rice noodle soup. It's a bit pricey for noodle soup but BBQ duck is pretty expensive everywhere these days. The skin has a good crisp to it and they give you about 1/4 duck on a healthy portion of thick round rice noodles. It takes about 5-10 minutes for the order to be ready. The taste is good and broth is not overly salty. Also comes with some veggies.

I tried the two items combo. The portion of food is really small, greasy and good amount of MSG. Not recommended.

There is an extra charge of the sauce bar, about $3 plus dollars. That includes dessert & their yummy congee as part of the sauce bar. There's even a show presentation on a popular Chinese mythology figure, The Monkey God. A thoroughly enjoyable meal. Service is prompt & good, our server Elvis was attentive & most helpful. Trying to reorder meat on their iPad was a bit challenging, there's too many options. We had Elvis helping us with the reordering. You are offered ice cream at the end of your meal too. After that, we ordered from them again many, many times through the Fantuan app. The menu is simple. Basically rice and noodles, just as the name of the shop implies. They cook their food soooo well though! There's a deep "wok hei" flavor to their rice and noodles. They do also have a few other side dishes like gyoza and spring rolls which you can order, but basically we go to this place for the rice and noodles. This was the first time we actually dined in the restaurant instead of getting takeout. Highly recommend dining in! So good to eat the food fresh and hot. The guy in front of me, Deng, looked at me with such envy as he cut in line. This place is incredibly popular! Every time I pass by, there's a long queue. Even on rainy days, people are willing to get soaked in the rain just to have a bowl of hot tonkotsu ramen. While you're queuing, the staff will hand out menus. The ordering system is similar to Ichiran Ramen; you can choose the noodle firmness, broth consistency, spiciness, green onions, oil level, and MSG amount . The basic ramen is only $13. I added a soft-boiled egg and pickled cabbage for $2 each. Although the pickled cabbage is really expensive , I can't help it, I'm a pickled cabbage addict! The pickled cabbage paired with the rich tonkotsu broth was refreshing. The broth was flavorful but not greasy, the noodles were chewy and springy, and the portion size was just right. Overall, it's incredibly good value for money; no wonder there's always a queue. After eating, you really get that "Ah~ this is the taste of happiness" feeling

The restaurant has a compact, wood-accented interior that feels warm and inviting while keeping service efficient. It's common to see a line stretching down the sidewalk, but the quick turnover and organized staff keep the wait moving at a steady pace. The Classic Tonkotsu Ramen is the reason to come. One of my favorite parts of the experience is being able to customize nearly every aspect of the bowl, from noodle firmness and broth richness to the amount of pork fat. The tonkotsu broth is creamy, rich, and deeply savory without becoming overly heavy, while the thin Hakata-style noodles have a fantastic bite when ordered firm. The slices of braised chashu are tender and flavorful, and adding a soft-boiled egg rounds out the bowl perfectly. If you're in the mood for something with more heat, the Rekka Ramen is an excellent option. The spicy red pepper sauce adds a bold kick that complements the rich pork broth without overpowering it. I also recommend ordering the pan-fried gyoza, which arrive with crisp, golden bottoms and a juicy, savory filling. If you somehow finish the noodles before the broth, you can order a kaedama refill to enjoy another serving without wasting a drop. Despite the constant crowds, service is impressively fast and well organized. Once seated, orders are taken quickly, and bowls arrive piping hot within minutes. The restaurant is better suited for a quick, satisfying meal than a long, leisurely dinner, but the efficient pace is part of what allows them to handle the steady stream of customers so well. Ramen Danbo consistently delivers everything I look for in a great bowl of tonkotsu ramen. The ability to customize each bowl, the rich and balanced broth, and the perfectly cooked noodles make it easy to understand why it remains one of Vancouver's busiest ramen destinations. It's a place I would gladly return to whenever I'm craving authentic Hakata-style ramen.
