This was very good! My fiancé told me about bonchon fried chicken months ago and when I found out we were getting a bonchon just 15 minutes away, we had to go! I ordered 6 boneless wings; soy garlic and Korean BBQ. Both were so good! I also ordered seasoned fries. They were good, not great, but still good in flavor and crispy. My fiancé ordered drumsticks and they are HUGE. He also opted for soy garlic and he really enjoyed as well. Service was very friendly! Prior to arriving we couldn't find it in the shopping center as the GPS brought us to the wrong location. I called and spoke to a kind gentleman who told us exactly where they were. Very helpful. The girl working the counter this afternoon was also kind. Everything is made to order. This is NOT fast food. You will wait a little for your order, but it's worth it! Yummy!

Bonchon, which translates to "my hometown" in Korean, embodies a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for families looking for a casual dining experience. The eatery offers a delightful blend of Korean flavors and Asian fusion dishes that keep patrons coming back for more. During my recent visit while spending time with my parents, we decided to explore the menu, ordering a variety of dishes to find our favorites. The House Fried Rice was a standout, featuring perfectly cooked rice tossed with eggs, red bell peppers, onions, and scallions, all enhanced by a savory Soy Garlic sauce and topped with sesame seeds. The Korean Street Corn was another highlight, grilled to perfection and slathered in Kewpie Mayo, mozzarella, and Korean red chili flakes, creating a deliciously creamy and spicy treat. We also indulged in the K-Meal To-Go for 4-6, which included a generous mix of 12 wings or boneless pieces and 6 drumsticks accompanied by two sides. We chose the soy garlic and Korean BBQ sauces, both of which added a rich, flavorful kick to the chicken. Lastly, the Bao Buns filled with savory pork belly, complemented by cucumbers, coleslaw, spicy mayo, and katsu sauce, offered a delightful texture and taste that rounded out our meal perfectly. Overall, Bonchon Centereach delivered a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience that catered to everyone's tastes. I can't say much about the service since I ordered ahead of time, but when I arrived, the items were ready to go.

It reminded me of a KFC, but with an Asian twist. I wouldn't mind trying the fried rice next time or the Katsu chicken. We went with boneless chicken wings and made it a combo, I got a side of fries and it comes with coleslaw or radish. It was super busy on a Saturday afternoon but we found a table and our food came out in a timely matter.

Went on a Sunday night around dinner and I was prepared for some type of lines but I was pleased that there were not too many people inside. Ordering was done on a self serve kiosk but there are staff members available for any questions. We ordered a mixed box of boneless wings (half korean bbq and half spicy), bao buns, and seasoned fries. Everything came out hot but the chicken was not as crispy as I would have expected. The spicy sauce was absolutely spicy and the fries are tasty but everything was super salty. The pickled radish was a good palate cleanser in between bites. The food was a great value for the price we paid and nothing was bad but I don't think we would go out of our way to come back again.

We decided to try this newly opened restaurant. I called to place an order, but they do not take orders over the phone (per Corporate rules,) only online. And the online App was not up and running yet. Located in a small storefront, in an extremely small & busy side parking lot. The restaurant was very busy!!! There are approximately 10-12 tables for eating in. The line to order was out the door, and remained that way, with only 1 counter person taking orders, which was frustrating during Grand Opening days. The food orders go through a kitchen window and there is someone expediting the orders out. I don't think it's a great system, fairly chaotic, and once online orders get rolling, and possibly delivery services, I cannot imagine it working efficiently. We ordered a bunch of things to try. The Udon Noodle Soup wasn't great. The broth looked like soy sauce and the noodles didn't have a pleasant flavor. Beef bulgogi was excellent. Great flavor, the meat was tender. Pork belly fried rice was mediocre. Some of the rice was in sticky clumps and still white. The wings (we had soy garlic sauce) were excellent. Delicious crunch and decent sized wings. The Boneless Wings (we had Korean BBQ sauce) were also very good. Again, a nice crunch, and a nice meaty piece of chicken. The sauce was very spicy. Lastly, we had the pork pot stickers. They were excellent, with a nice outside crunch, but tender inside. We thought the portions were small, (between pint and quart sized portions,) and it was quite pricey. Customer service was good amid the craziness and still clearly learning, which was expected.

Located in the heart of Long Island, New York, Centereach, Bonchon made its grand opening earlier this week and I have to say that I was impressed by their wide selection of Korean fried chicken and the amount of people waiting on line!! This place was jammed packed to the BRIM! Bonchon offers an array of quality Korean fried chicken and not only packing some flavor but quality of food. Since they just opened earlier this week, I would recommend getting there before rush hour, which is 4/5pm. I reached there at 4pm and got done with my food by 5ish. The wait was definitely worth it because I was able to get my hands on some WELL deserved Korean fried chicken. I would highly recommend getting their selection box. I got myself the 6 wings and 2 drums selection box with half Korean BBQ and half spicy sauce! Highly recommend the spicy sauce, it definitely comes with a kick but nothing overpowering. Also got myself their fried chicken bao buns! The coleslaw works very well with the fried chicken inside. A little messy but still flavorful. Then for my final bite I got the Bulgogi fries with EXXTRA cheese and Bulgogi! Bulgogi for those that do not know, is a thinly sliced beef. Often grilled or stir fried, extremely yummy! I would highly recommend stopping by and grabbing yourself a wing or two! Kayla the cashier was phenomenal!! She handled 100 customers BY HERSELF and was sooo loving! Thank you! Welcome to the heart of Long Island!

I always wanna try the Korean fried chicken . This place just open we have to try it is a Small place ,looks clean the service was fast and the food is good I'll be back !!

I've eaten at many Bonchons throughout New York. This is not Bonchon. I had high hopes, thankful one opened around me and ordered a party size of wings. They were very soggy, worse than frozen hungryman chicken. It was inedible and the family couldn't eat it. For the owner, please train your staff. Whoever cooked that night, they clearly don't know what they're doing. Very disappointing,

All of their food is ridiculously over salted. Barely edible and your tongue will end up numb.

I love that they cook the food for you at the table, my husband is ok with either or. We started with Mandoo (pan fried beef dumplings) yum! For our meets to be grilled, we chose Bulgogi and Seang Kalbi Gui, it came with several small sides. My husband ordered several Màkku beers in the original flavor. For dessert, we had the most scrumptious cheesecake we've ever had. We were both surprised by how delicious it was and we wish we had ordered one for each of us. Will definitely be back soon for more! Thank you!

The Soon Doo Boo was very tasty and had a little kick. Not as much as I would like but very close to what I would expect. The Jap Chae flavor was good but it did not have any spinach and not enough of other vegetables; but as I said, pretty tasty. The place is pretty roomy so would probably not need to wait for a table. The rest of the food were mostly misses, the worst being the Kalbi. The flavor was a little too sweet but in a teriyaki sauce kind of way, not the Korean pear/sugar/soy sauce way. The seafood pajeon was too burnt and did not have any seafood, almost all batter. The banchan was ok but the kimchee was a little too ripe. Service was a little show because they were short staffed according to our waiter. So all in all, just not a great experience. I would probably be a little more lenient but prices are similar to Flushing/Bayside even though I would assume their overhead was lower.

They have happy hour from 3-7pm drinks are $7-8 and hot apps are $8 . I got a glass of wine and the Bang Bang cauliflower. I asked for the sauce on the side as sometimes it's too spicy. The cauliflower was in a tempura batter which was light and crispy and the sauce was more sweet then spicy but had a nice flavor. After my friend arrived we ordered the pork dumplings, which were tasty but nothing special. Eventually we moved to the dinning room. The menu is extensive with many hot dishes and sushi selections. There is a $29 price fixe that includes soup or salad, a small plate or dim sum, a kitchen entree and dessert with no restrictions off the full menu. Quite a bargain. We both got the wonton soup, which was ok but could have been hotter in temperature. We got the wagyu short rib potstickers and the crystal shrimp shumai, the beef were dry and benefited from the dipping sauce, the shrimp were fine. I got the Tiger prawns which was the star of the meal. Huge shrimp stacked high with a light sauce over shredded cabbage serves with either brown or white rice. I took half of them home. My friend doesn't like spicy food so asked which of the ramen dishes was not spicy. The waitress recommended the pork belly which arrived with no broth at all, after that was remedied it was still too spicy, which of course is personal but still. My friend got the fried ice cream & I got the chocolate cake with green tea ice cream, both were ok if forgettable I think if I decide to return it will be for happy hour only and I'll stick to the small plate apps and maybe take an order of the tiger prawns home.
