Street corn
Dr B.

We tried this place, our first time. Let's start with the positive. The food was really good, good chicken, good sides and delicious sauces. The staff were friendly and the Doral location has good free parking. I had the udon soup and it was very good. For 2 people we paid almost $70, that is very pricy chicken. The street corn dish seem like canned corn, not cool. The restaurant was empty, only us and another couple. The dinning room was filthy, the tables and floor were dirty. The staff was chatting and on their phones. The bathroom was also dirty, I saw blood on the sink, disgusting. I was grossed out and will not be returning. Thx.

Drumsticks

This was my second time going to Bonchon. One of my friends was talking about how the drumstick was really good so I ordered it and gave it a try. It turns out I was getting sick and I had to throw up the same day because it wasn't sitting well on my stomach. My friends were surprised that I couldn't finish eating the drumsticks. I only ordered 5 pieces and ate 2 pieces because I wasn't feeling it. The service was great and fast.

Bon chon was the og korean fried chicken place. Nostalgia brought me back but the memories of what used to be great are gone. The chicken was subpar. It felt like it was more breading than chicken and the soy garlic was salty. The bulgogi fries looked kind of sad. Again, bon chon back then was the king when kfc was first introduced but now that theres so many other kfc places, you dont have to come here. Sometimes its good to leave the good memories in the past and move on to the better things. Skip this place and go to another korean fried chicken place

Coleslaw Korean Street Corn

This was my first time trying this place, and I decided to order the Seoul Sampler so I could taste a few different items. The chicken was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I do wish the cheese on the bulgogi fries had been a bit more melty, but the flavor was still really good. The potstickers were also tasty, while the coleslaw and corn were just okay. Ordering is done through a self-service machine, so we didn't really interact with the staff aside from the person who brought our food to the table. The restaurant itself is small with only a few tables, but it's clean and well kept. Overall, a good first experience, and I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu items.

New and finally making it to South Florida, I had to try both locations. Doral location is much smaller then the Miami Beach location but definitely a plus with free and easier parking that can be found on the open roof garage with a simple walk down a flight of stairs as you head in to experience crispy crunchy chicken full of flavor. Staff was well trained and kind while taking your order and was also very friendly while serving your food making sure alls well. While much smaller than the Miami Beach location, I found this location more cozy and relaxing and less loud. Food was amazing and great. Full of flavor in every bite and satisfied with the crisp and crunch! Beef bulgogi is very popular and this time we were able to get the opportunity to try it as it's usually sold out. Bulgogi fries are a must try as it offers a great combination of flavors as each component compliments each other with the crunchiest fries served. The Seoul sampler is a great item to order as you get to try the best of the best of the menu items. Only item I personally didn't care for was the Korean street corn. Way too much cheese in my opinion and was not a fan of the dish. Chicken was amazing and we tried almost all of the sauces they offer as it's a must. Chicken definitely did not disappoint as it's full of flavor, crispy, crunchy, juicy, and large size wings and drum sticks to satisfy your cravings! Korean donuts is a must to end your perfect savory meal with some sweets. The donut is fresh, fluffy, soft and moist. Goes great with the condense milk for dipping!

Bonchon has come to Doral! Located in a newer plaza in Doral, you can find parking for this location on the top of the roof. It was a bit confusing at first but thankful for the previous reviews on Yelp to help steer us in the right direction. Parking was super easy once we found it and there was both a elevator and stairs to get down to the first floor. This Bonchon is new and we were excited to grab a bite to eat for dinner here. The locations I've been to previously were all more of a restaurant-style, while this one seemed to be more of a fast casual concept. The space itself is small but has a good amount of seating and is bright and clean. We ordered with a staff member who was friendly but we felt a bit rushed to order. We probably should've just grabbed a menu and took a seat to look it over or maybe even ordered at the kiosks. When we were ordering, we got a side of seasoned fries and when we were placing our order, the staff member "took the liberty" to make it a meal for us. When we questioned it, because we didn't really want a fountain drink, she said it was the same price of $4.99 to get it as a meal versus just getting the fries, so we agreed. We found out it was $1 extra for the seasoned fries, which in the grand scheme of things isn't crazy, but we also didn't want the drink so we didn't love paying the extra dollar for that. For chicken, they had options of wings, drumsticks (which cost significantly more) or mixed. My partner and I both don't love flats so we opted to get a mix. Little did we both know, the drumsticks are HUGE and the "wings" are actually just a mix of both flats and (small) drumsticks. This is something to note in case you didn't know like we didn't. We also ordered a Mopo Corn Dog and after taking a while to come out, the center of it was pretty cold. These corn dogs are known to have that cheese pull but when we attempted, we just got a chunk of cold cheese. We saw another table complain about their center being cold so we made sure to check before biting into it and it was definitely cold. After asking the staff about it, they took the corn dog back and ended up offering us complimentary donuts instead saying that their fryers were acting up so they didn't want to make a new corn dog. We're thankful for the switch but it was weird because, although they told us they didn't want to make new corn dogs, everyone around us was still getting new corn dogs throughout the time we dined there. For the fries we ordered, it was actually a pretty small portion for what we paid $4.99 for and it wasn't our favorite, taste-wise. Overall, the food was just okay. We got the classic soy garlic for the wings and it was pretty heavy on the soy making it too salty. This paired with the interesting interactions with staff made for an okay experience.

Sooooooo good! They hadn't even officially opened and were already packed- rightfully so. I tried a bunch of things from the menu. The service was very attentive and kind despite being slammed. There is free parking in the garage. Now to the food: - Bulgogi Fries - so yum, beef was perfectly seasoned and spicy mayo makes everything better - Potstickers with soy garlic - Bao Buns - get the pork belly, soo good - Korean Tacos bulgogi meat - delicious! - fried chicken with soy garlic - my highlight: the corn dog with the cheese pull Also had corn with cheese and spicy mayo and finished the meal with Korean Donuts drizzled condensed milk

Korean bbq chicken
Clara G.

The korean bbq chicken is sooo good, we really enjoyed it. We also loved the korean street corn and chicken katsu. This place gives good portions and i like that you can order on the tablet. We got the korean corn dog and unfortunately it was frozen in the middle. We let them know and they had run out of more, so they gave us a refund. My only complaint is that they dont bring the food out all at once. Other than that and the frozen corn dog, i really enjoyed everything else and Ill definitely come back for the chicken and to try the other menu items!

We've gone here twice in the last week since learning it has finally opened! Fast casual set up where you order at the counter and the food is brought o the table a no servers or table side - drinks, napkins and utensils are self service and cleanly organized. Food was great, the chicken is crispy and delicious. We had the bulgogi taco, fries, japchae and multiple sides. Everything was fresh and presented well. The menu is pretty big and the options beyond wings were impressive. The staff was helpful and the seating was fairly accessible though it does pile up so not great for large parties. Overall great and excited to have this location finally open!

Went by today to see if they were open and lo and behold they are. This fried chicken has been living rent free in my mind since I first had it from their SoBe location. This one is a lot closer to the crib and parking is easier(it's on the roof) Was greeted warmly by the staff and even ran into a T-bred so you know I was going to be treated well The chicken is out of control. Got a 50/50 Korean bbq/ Soy Garlic and I for sure like the soy garlic more but the bbq is still delicious Seasoned fried were crunchy and almost over seasoned but that's just me. I don't know where these guys get their drums from but they are incredibly juicy and huge (pause) I got the feeling this place is going to see a lot of me

Tteokbokki
Ashley Y.

Heard about this place through social media and decided to check it out. The place was a bit small and since we came around lunch the place was packed. There was a lot to choose from but we decided to go with the Seoul Sampler Platter with Soy Garlic sauce and the classic Tteokbokki. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, but when it arrived it was piping hot. The Seoul Sampler came with chicken, street corn, bulgogi fries, and dumplings. The chicken was very crispy and juicy and had the perfect amount of sauce for every bite. The bulgogi fries were crispy and had the perfect amount of seasoning. The street corn was buttery and cheesy, however I felt like there should've been more cheese towards the middle and bottom of the cup that way you could get some with every bite. The dumplings were crispy and had the same sauce at the chicken. The Tteokbokki came with rice cakes, fish cakes, and two dumplings. I'm not sure what was in the dumplings but they were perfectly crispy and seasoned well. The rice cakes weren't overcooked and had the perfect amount of chewiness. The fish cakes were also cooked perfectly. Personally, the fish cakes were way spicier than the rice cakes but my partner said the opposite. If you're someone that can't handle spiciness, then this dish is not for you. This dish packed a punch on the first bite and it kept getting hotter the more I ate. There was cheese on top that helped calm the spice in the beginning, but after a certain point it didn't help anymore. Overall, the place had very delicious food that came out hot and fresh. Since the place is still newly opened, the wait time is a bit long but it's worth the wait for how tasty the food was.

Food took forever to come out Came out so cold, literally just ate meat Waste of money and time

Most greasy bulgogi beef
Camille P.

Where do I begin? Unfortunately whoever prepared the bulgogi beef, an iconic Korean dish, decided to throw all the meat with the most grease, nerves and ligaments he could find. "Feed the lions" type of cooking. Absolutely disgusting. I will never eat here again. This is how restaurants go out of business. Oh, and their extra salty dumplings were also terrible.

Ask the Community - Bonchon Doral

When is Bonchon opening a restaurant in Broward County? When I lived in Jacksonville I practically lived in Bonchon.? I am not interested in dealing with parking and traffic in Miami.

Don't know when they are opening in Broweird but parking in the Doral location is super easy. You literally park on the roof.

Let's start with the good, because credit where it's due: the food is genuinely excellent, particularly the fish and seafood, which were the clear stars of the spread. And our server, while I'll get to a quibble shortly, was fun, warm, and thoroughly professional. Now the rest. Brunch should feel like a leisurely indulgence, not a contact sport. The meat station had a queue of 20+ people at peak -- I came for great food, not a deli ticket. The space is crowded and genuinely hard to navigate. Champagne required actively hunting down a server, whereas the Setai simply leaves a bottle at your table and lets you breathe. Coffee is $7 a cup -- at a brunch of this price point, charging for coffee feels a little cheeky. Then there was the pacing. Well before our two hours were up, our (otherwise lovely) server began the gentle wrap-up and produced the bill -- which is a curious energy for a "linger and enjoy" brunch. And we were charged an extra 2% as a "large party" of seven... at a buffet. Where we served ourselves. I'm still working out the math on that one. If you want a beautiful setting, live music, better drinks, attentive service, and zero queues, the Setai brunch wins -- every single time. Mila, save it for the nightlife.

Service-wise, everyone was very nice, but the pacing was definitely a little slow throughout the night. As far as the food, everything was good, but I wouldn't say it was the best dinner I've ever had. Some dishes really stood out while others fell a little flat. We started with the Hamachi Jalapeño, which was beautifully done. The fish was sliced perfectly and everything felt really balanced. The Thai grilled shrimp was phenomenal and honestly one of my favorite dishes of the night. We also ordered the A5 Wagyu hot stone. The quality of the Wagyu itself was good, but it was sliced extremely thin and topped with chunks of salt that made each bite overly salty. Personally, if you're serving Wagyu that thin, it really doesn't need much on top, let the meat speak for itself. The pork ribs were delicious: super tender, falling off the bone, and the glaze was incredible. The Peking duck is definitely a must-order here. Absolutely one of the best duck dishes I've had. The Wagyu fried rice had a ton of flavor and everything in it complemented each other really well. The biggest disappointment for me was the garlic lobster lo mein. I had heard so many good things about it beforehand, but honestly, I'd give it a 2/10. The noodles tasted plain, the lobster itself lacked flavor, and it was missing that rich buttery garlic flavor I was expecting. For dessert, we had the Japanese cheesecake. It was fluffy, light, and really good overall. The berry compote leaned a little bitter for my taste, but it didn't ruin the dish.
