    Mongolian Beef Lunch
    Angel A.

This is a delivery order. We had the Mongolian Beef Lunch, Stir Fry lunch, and Tonkatsu bento box lunch. The lunch specials are good deal they come with a choice of rice and choice of soup or salad. The portions are huge and worth it for the price. All were good, hot and delicious.

Love the food here, it's absolutely amazing. We alway ordered for lunch but decided to visit for someone's birthday. The staff were accommodating and helped to put up a HBD banner. Food was delicious a the place was clean. It was lunch but the place was not packed on a Monday. Ample parking and accommodating for large parties.

Found this place through door dash. It didn't fail us- delicious, fresh and decent portions. Jalapeño firecrackers were a fun starter and not heavy on the tempura. Green snowflake roll- delicious and request no mayo or sauce still very good. Fresh Tuna Wrap Roll- fresh and clean. Lots of greens included in this roll. Great place for takeout and will order again soon.

Literally been coming here for years and unfortunately realizing I've probably been eating roach poop every time I stepped foot here. This is a baby roach on my plate!!!!! Who knows how many others live in their kitchen!!!!

Umami is just incredible. The servings of the platter are so filling with goodness. I been there multiple times, and all my time in there, food was top notch. Recommend if you're into the Asian Cuisine

    NY Strip Steak Hibachi Lunch

Ordered takeout from Umami while in the area and it was a bit of a struggle. We tried ordering via UberEats and ran into a few problems. It was lunchtime and we were trying to order some things off the lunch menu & the regular menu (they were separate through the app) and it kept erasing part of our order. We figured out that they only allow you to order through one of the menus. When we tried to only order off of their regular menu & were ready to place our order, an error message came up and it said they have a cap on the price you were allowed to order for delivery at $100. We eventually gave up on ordering it through there and decided we'd just pick up the food for takeout. As for the takeout experience, everything was packaged nicely and the food was ready when we got there to pick it up. We got the NY Strip Hibachi lunch, the Steak & Shrimp Hibachi lunch, crab rangoons, and a few rolls. Everything was pretty good. The only thing that was a little interesting were the rolls. I ordered the Umami Dynamite roll and it didn't seem like what was advertised in some of the photos. It only had what looked to be a majority of scallops as part of the dynamite. My friend had another roll that was topped with what looked more like a dynamite mix than the Umami Dynamite roll. My other friend got a roll that was topped with seared tuna (I think?) and it looked a little questionable in color. She ended up taking some of it off to finish her roll. Other than the hiccups in ordering through UberEats & some subpar rolls, Umami was pretty good.

Filet mignon and chicken hibachi dinner

On vacation looking for some good hibachi and we definitely found the right place! Our server was awesome and very attentive! It wasn't very busy, and they really did cater to our whole table very well. On to the food, I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi dinner and upgraded to get the filet. The miso soup to start was decent, and everything after that was phenomenal! We upgraded to the chicken fried rice and that was definitely the move, and also ordered a side of noodles and those were excellent as well. If you're planning on getting the steak, I highly recommend upgrading to filet! It was so tender, it melted in your mouth! Overall, I highly recommend Umami! Our server and chef were both excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! We all have another full meal just in leftovers!

This restaurant definitely gives you the most bang for your buck. The portion sizes are huge! The food itself is very good too. I think most of the plates can be shared between two people. I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and it was so good! The noodles were pretty sweet so keep that in mind. The entree came with a soup, I ordered the egg drop. The crab rangoons were very crispy and seemed like they were just made. The only thing that wasn't too good was the sushi roll we ordered for the table. Tasted like plain white rice, not sure I would order it again.

Ehhh - should have saw the yelp reviews for this one. I suppose this could do in a pinch, but Umami is neither a fast service nor a particularly tasty/good quality restaurant. I came here during a heat game and my usual go to was packed. I had the age tofu and a chirashi - both were less than desirable. Definitely won't be coming back anytime soon.

A month ago I wanted to go again and remembered that there was more than one location. Came to find out one closer to me situated across FIU on 107th ave. All of the sudden the 107 in the name made sense. I asked if that location was the 'OG', and they confirmed it was and hence the seemingly random name. Service was good. There's a mix of regular folks and students (both servers and dining), which ensures pricing remains reasonable in order to cater to student budgets. I found pricing to be the same at both locations. I ordered the same Mama Pork Fried rice with an extra of shrimp, and I have to say, it was just as delicious as the Gables restaurant. I went again just yesterday, and food was just as delicious. I can't bring myself to order any other dish because it's so delicious. Dish flavor, look and texture are consistent too, not just within the same restaurant, but at least across those two locations I've visited, and I've attended twice to both locations ordering the same fried rice - it is always 'identically delicious'. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were all good, and while they wouldn't be my choice, they were all yummy. Their dishes tend to be a bit on the gooey side, but I love that, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The ambience is basic, but definitely a more elevated look than that of your typical Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend

I'll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It's unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.

This spot is located in an unassuming shopping center where a Nicklaus building is, which is perfect for when you're in the mood to keep a low profile. It's a small, intimate restaurant with counter top seating and a few tables. We sat at one of the tables as we intended to do a lot of talking and didn't want to be noisy at the counter. We decided to take the recommendation of the staff and did the omakase express option and a sake sampler pairing with three different kinds. No notes here because everything was great, there were several "MMMM!" moments (wish I remembered what each bite was!) and the first sake we got (pictured) was fantastic. Would definitely buy it to have at home. Big shout out to Allie, who covered our table on her first day, was very cool and definitely helped steer the dinner in the right direction. We came here because of good ratings and wanted to try a place we never been before. Food was 5 stars! Really delicious. But service was not good at all. I think it was a one time thing and will give them another chance. There was only one person waiting tables. She greeted us, sat us and served water. Took our apps order ( gyozas and fried calamari). She was very pleasant and nice, no issues with that but she didn't manage her time with patrons correctly. We had a minor accident where we dropped a glass of water and I got up to get napkins to clean it up. Mind you, the restaurant still only has 3 tables, so it was not packed or anything. She walked by the table about 10 min later when the apps arrived she took the broken glass and gave us more napkins and took the order. We needed an extra glass of water and refills and she even said "I'll be right back with a glass of water and a pitcher" that took about 15 min before another person is the one that realized we didn't have water and he brought a new glass of water and the pitcher to refill the other cups. We waited, waited, and waited some more. Then the same guy that gave us water brought us each a cup of miso soup on the house due to the delay. That was very nice of them. Then after a total of about 25 min, the food started to come out. But not all at once. First daughter's pad Thai. Then about 5 min later my noodles. Another almost 10 min later, my wife's drunken noodles. And my son's black dragon roll... never came. We were almost done with our meals and they never stopped by or were even visible on the floor. So I flagged down the guy and told him about the missing roll. It took him about 10 min and they made it. When they brought it back I asked for the check. The girl charged my card but did not even asked for a tip and she only charged the food. I appreciate that they realized the experience was not good. I don't know what the issue was, but at the end of the day the service was not good. But I'm feeling generous because the food was tasty
