Although they have a big base of competitors since there are other great Korean fried chicken joints in the area, they are definitely up there. They also have their own parking lot, making it convenient to stop by whether to sit in or take out. The service was also really good. The food came out much quicker than I expected and the staff was friendly. If you come here, you have to get the Korean fried chicken. That's just a must! They have 3 flavors to choose from: spicy, soy garlic, and sweet crunch. I prefer the classic soy garlic but if you want some spice, the spicy would also be good. The sweet crunch has an oddly sweet flavor that I didn't enjoy as much. The fried chicken comes out hot and crispy with juicy meat underneath the crispy skin. Even with the sauce, it maintained its crunch. There are also other items available on the menu such as fried rice, dumplings, fries, and more. I tried the seasoned fries which were crispy but had a slightly sweet flavor. I also found the bulgogi sliders to be mediocre. There wasn't much meat inside and it was only slightly warm. I actually want to rate this 3.5. Portion is very good. The value of food is very good. The fries were seasoned well. The shrimp remind me of a better quality of a long john silver popcorn shrimp. The portion is big to make the $11 worth it but the sauce was lacking. Now the chicken wings, i have mixed feelings. Portion is good, the crisp and crunch is there. The sauce was lacking a bit. The spicy was okay nothing memorable. We ordered sweet crunch but it tasted like a very salty soy garlic. This is what dropped the rating for me that it should be 3.5. Too salty. To many, Bonchon is the most well known "KFC" restaurant (with locations across the country and internationally as well). We have eaten at a few different Bonchon locations in the Greater NYC area - as well as outside of NY state - and this location is a welcome addition due to its proximity to home. We have ordered carryout on multiple occasions and although the 1st visit (not long after they opened) left us wanting, the 2nd visit was terrific. Well. What can I say about this Bonchon's chicken wings besides.... SMALL, TINY, NOT WORTH IT. To pay about $1.20 per wing and have them be so small. Not worth it. The other Bonchon wings are much larger. I think this place is cutting corners and getting the smaller wings because it probably costs less. Also the favoring on the chicken isn't consistent. It was definitely rushed. Other Bonchon places takes over 30 minutes for the chicken to come out, because they make them to order and actually take their time to get that consistent even flavor. This place, when you order they say to come pick it up in 15 minutes. Something is suspect. Not going to order from them anymore. It's a bit larger than other places and therefore has a parking lot and decent seating inside. The menu here is more expansive than just fried chicken - there's Korean staples like bibimbap, japchae, and spicy rice cakes along with some new fusion items like bulgogi tacos and sliders. There are quite a few Bon Chon locations but until last year I had never eaten at any. Korean fried chicken (the new KFC) has been popular for many years now and there are many different places that offer it. This particular location is located on Northern Blvd in Flushing (Aurburndale area) I know I passed it at least hundreds of times previously but never ordered or considered ordering as I would usually get chicken from other places. However, during the time when indoor dining for many places was banned and there was only take out the places to get food had been limited and I rarely utilized take out since I was eating out. While checking out the local restaurants in the area that offered fried chicken, I came across this particular location and it was nearby where I usually visited in Flushing to my surprise. It is on the corner of a small street and the signage may not always be visible due to trees. If you are driving very quickly it is very easy to go right past the location (as I have done quite a few times admittedly). When restrictions were in place, they were only open until a certain time and had many take out orders. Each time I called in an order, it was ready when I arrived (20-30 mins). Sometimes there would be a delay in answering but understandably they were probably very busy. For the most part, each person who answered the phone was very polite and thorough. They ask for the four digits of your phone number that helps to identify your order among the other pick ups and to go. All the employees wear masks. Besides calling in you can order via the app and they seem to be working with different delivery platforms in the area. Usually when I arrive to pick up my order, there are several bags on the counter. The menu (which may vary slightly depending on location) offers quite an array of delicious fast food that consist of cuisine from Korea and others inspired by Chinese and Japanese as well. Whether eating solo or with a friend, the main things I usually get (in different combos depending on how hungry I am of course) Soy garlic wings (either small or medium order) - it is a combo of wing and drum stick usually. Of course they are the most well known for their fried chicken! I think their spicy might be too spicy for me so I tend to stay away from it. Chicken strips - soy garlic and a good alternative to their boneless. Beef bulgogi tacos - not as much bulgogi as I would like but an okay choice if you want tacos. It is recommended to eat them right away if you order. Chicken sliders - its like the chicken strip inside a bun with toppings. Very good snack for sure. This can either be spicy or soy garlic. Shrimp sui mai - the cantonese style dim sum item is a good starter her. They drench it in a honey dijon dressing. Potsickers - deep fried deliciousness French fries (plain or seasoned) - these go well with any fried chicken dish but has to be ordered separately. The seasoned fries use herb, parmesan cheese and parsley flakes. I prefer the plain fries as the seasoned ones seem to just have the stuff thrown on it. They always give packets of ketchup. Chicken katsu - there are other places that specialize in panko crusted chicken but the version here is not bad at all. It is actually one of my go to orders because it is a nice quick meal that comes with a generous amount of rice which completes a meal for me. The Flushing menu has other honorable mentions include the pork buns, udon, edamame, tteokboki and house fried rice. I tend to order what I usually order as we are creatures of habit but the menu has quite a few things that I have yet to try. Maybe one day soon. **There was one occasion recently I decided to try the dine in experience. For over a year they had closed that area off and it was opened recently. They require tracing info for all patrons and the tables are divided up. When I ate their it was rather late so there may have been one or two tables of customers and everyone was spaced out. I cannot speak about their prime time hours but I prefer eating in less crowded places anyway if possible. They gave a nice corner table. The food came out fresh and it was quite a different experience as I had been ordering take out only previously. A good difference of course. The employees did check on me to make sure I was good and brought all the food to the table in a timely manner considering they still had take out orders to do. Their BOH operations seem very well organized. OVERALL, I would have to say that this location is a solid spot in my humble opinion. This place actually saved me many times as a person who eats later in the evening. The food is prepared in a very timely manner, the employees who work FOH are usually very polite and seem to be able to handle the online and take out traffic with a very high level of efficiency. I would give this place 3.5 stars. I went to school in Bayside but never tried this location. My family was craving wings and this place had great reviews so we gave it a shot. I wanted to order online but didn't see the option to order the family meal so we decided to drive in and order there instead. The only meal we saw available was the Family Meal XL so we decided to get that one. Didn't even know Family Meal was a choice. We went with the sides of French fries and coleslaw. We ordered fried rice as well but was given white rice for some reason. The chicken was crispy and tender but the flavor was a little bit lacking. I didn't try the spicy one because my spicy tolerance is lower than a child's but I heard the spicy one is much better than the garlic one. However, I saw that the others who ate the spicy one still needed to dip the chicken in ketchup and both of them rated it as "okay" but wouldn't crave it again. The fries were crispy and crunchy. I'm a huge potato fan so can't really go wrong with fries unless they were immediately soggy. That wasn't the case so no complaints with the fries. These were plain fries so there was no additional flavor on them. The coleslaw was pretty yummy too but the portion was extremely small. The amount of coleslaw given was not enough compared to the amount of chicken that we ordered. The picture is a little deceiving but I promise as soon as I took one scoop of coleslaw, I already hit the bottom of the container so I do wish there was more coleslaw especially given the price. I spent around $45 for the whole meal that is shown in the picture. I saw that one the card posted at the register, the meal was supposed to be around $37 but we were charged $40 before tax so I'm not sure if the prices increased. read more

Family and I have been regulars here for a while. Interior/seating is nice and food is good, but service destroyed my mood. I was paying through Apple Pay and was confused why it wasn't working--the worker told me "press a button" on the card machine. I personally got confused so I apparently pressed the tip button by accident. When I asked, I was told to "read next time" (like I was being humiliated) when I merely just didn't understand.
