Finally this spot it open. I've been grabbing their breakfast through the little window. I got there around 8 and asked if they were open. The lady seemed annoyed but according to Yelp it closes at 10. So a little confused. You can order everything on the menu - ordered the truffle soup dumpling and the bbq pork buns. Not bad but a bit expensive plus the 3% credit card surcharge. I hate that places do this now

This new restaurant replaced our favorite soup dumpling so we decided to give it a try. It looks like they still doing a soft opening. There was an offer to to get the soup dumpling for 1/2 price with $15 purchase but it was supposedly sold out when we arrived at 2pm. So we ordered other the pork and crab soup dumpling instead. Everything we ordered was pretty good. Service was friendly although it could have been better. We still had one more dish and waited. We had to remind the server we had one more dish (the pan fried duck buns) and they forgot so had to wait longer. There is booth seating and table seating available. In the front, it looks like there is a window that will be open in the future to buy baked goods and beverages. There is a 3% credit card surcharge. I think they still have kinks to work out so will have to it again in the future.

My boyfriend and I went here and absolutely loved it! We got the classic pork soup dumplings, cantonese bbq pork buns, dan dan noodles and shanghai pan fried pork buns. Food was all 10/10 and came out super fast! The dan dan noodles were a little spicy for me but my boyfriend liked them. I got the peach & oolong tea for a drink and It was so sweet and tasty. The presentation of everything was so pretty & aesthetic too. Server was super nice & they cleaned quickly. (They also take apple pay). Loved this spot will def return!

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

Udon noodles are delicious, rolls are crispy, xiao long bao are the best in Flushing, IMO. Ordering online from their website is best, plan to allow 30 minutes for your order to be ready. The filling was decent, but the vinegar on the side was too mild. I'm used to a darker, more robust vinegar with XLB, so this didn't quite hit. Braised pork - very tender and flavorful, served with quail eggs. This was one of the stronger dishes. Yangzhou fried rice - not too oily which I liked, but served with only 5 an small shrimps... Sweet & sour shredded potato (cold dish) - slightly spicy, I really enjoyed this one. It was part of a promo where you can get it for $1 when you spend $30 on entrees, so definitely worth adding. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Not everything stood out, but it's solid enough that I'd recommend it, and I'd come back to try more of the menu.

However, recently it's been hit or miss. Today was both - the garlic pork belly cold dish was super tasty! The garlic chili oil was spicy, sweet and fragrant. The pork bun ( I have eaten at almost every establishment that serves pork buns in flushing) was disgusting. The pork was almost grey and the it smelled like it was a day away from spoiling. It's really hard to justify a bad experience like this when there are literal hundreds of flushing vendors that serve the exact same cuisine with better quality control. Catch me a Zie Wei Xiao Chi next time I'm in the mood for a pork bun.

It's been almost two years since I last came back, and I mainly returned for the soup dumplings…read more This restaurant isn't particularly known for them, but I have to say, so far, they're the best soup dumplings I've had in the last couple of years. I'm always on the hunt for a great xiaolongbao, and I was hoping nothing had changed since my last visit. Thankfully, they were just as good as I remembered. The skin is thin, and there's a generous amount of soup inside, which is exactly what I look for. That said, the crab meat noodles were disappointing this time. The amount of crab meat seemed significantly reduced compared to before, so much so that if I hadn't known what I was ordering, I don't think I would have been able to identify it as crab meat noodles at all. We also tried the osmanthus cakes, which my sister really enjoyed. Personally, I'm not a fan of the mochi-like texture, so while I can appreciate why others might like them, they just aren't for me. The restaurant itself is still beautiful, and the servers remain extremely polite, as you'd expect at a place of this caliber. I'll definitely be coming back again...at least for the soup dumplings.

Excellent food. Beautiful presentation and mastery in preparation…read more The Peking duck was delicious. The fat was either removed or baked out. The dish was presented traditionally with the all the toppings. The duck sauce was also perfect. A beautiful dish that fulfilled the 3 categories of Chinese cooking: color, fragrance and taste. Our next favorite in presentation and taste is the pork belly with pumpkin. The presentation of the dish is eye popping. The pork belly is unmistakably cooked by a master chef. The texture is chewy (skin), soft (fat) and dense (meat). The sauce may look over the top, but it adds to the silkiness of the pieces. The "fat" is not greasy. It's puzzling how they rendered the grease. I grew up eating this dish and cook it too. This dish by far is the best I've had. Service is fantastic; helpful and attentive. This is our new favorite restaurant! Suggestion would be to eat at the restaurant for an incredible experience. Dishes came out is perfect order. It's been a while since we've experienced a classic Chinese restaurant.

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.
