    Fries with shredded meat
    Karen W.

I absolutely love this Korean KFC chain restaurant. I have eaten KFC at other restaurants; and I believe this chain restaurant makes the best crunchy chicken. I also like that I can choose different sauces. Although their regular pricing seems quite high, I was very satisfied with the KFC meal which included a side of either coleslaw or pickled turnip. I chose pickled turnip. It was kind of refreshing and with a slight hint of sweetness. Uncooked turnip was not my favorite, but I was glad to have tried it. Their KFC pieces were generally large. The chicken pieces were moist and hot. I tried the ginger (can't remember the exact name) and spicy sauces. The spicy sauce was better. I will definitely try one level spicier if it is available. I also tried the fries with shredded cheese and meat. It was very good but too pricey for its value. I will go back and try out their lunch special.

It was my partner's idea to order from here but the menu looked good so I figured it was worth a shot. Food was pretty tasty and arrived in good condition. I think he forgot that Korean corn dogs are cheese though because he seemed surprised but still enjoyed it. It's kind of hard to go wrong with things like bulgogi and tteokbokki. Reasonable prices for the portions.

Located at Clackamas Town Center near the doors by Barnes and Noble. There are a few tables inside and a few small tables outside. You can order from a kiosk or at the counter. We were there on a Tuesday and there was a wing special. Be aware there was a limit to get the promo price. Got the Korean fried chicken sandwich, boneless wings of half and half, tacos and fried rice. I like the option to have half spicy, half soy garlic wings. We really liked the wings and they reheat well in the air fryer. The fried chicken sandwich had some bones. Tacos were good. Next time I'll just order the boneless wings.

I've had the chicken from bonchon togo before but this is the first time I dined in. There was one cashier to take orders and a kiosk as well. I ordered through the kiosk and it went smoothly. Our food came out pretty quickly and the wings were crispy to our likings. Got half soy garlic and half crunchy. The soy garlic definitely could have had more flavor, but the crunchy was delicious. The reasons why I am giving 3 stars: the floor was VERY sticky, we had 3 people but they only gave us 2 forks and ordered fries but was not provided with or asked if we wanted ketchup.

Great Korean street food at the mall First time trying this place out after seeing reviews on here. Small place that seems like a good lunch spot. We used the kiosk to order. My husband and I have food allergies, so unfortunately we couldn't order crispy chicken, which is what this place is probably known for. (I'm salivating thinking about that crisp haha). We ordered potstickers and japchae. The japchae is a 10/10!!! Not salty and full of flavor! Highly recommend getting this. My daughter loved the potstickers. I love that they give more than four. They were out of bibimbap, so we would like to try that next time. We waited about 15-ish minutes for our takeout. This place is popular. I'm a fan of this place. Great location and lots of parking, but parking may be hard to find during busy weekend hours.

    Chicken Sandwich. WHERE'S THE CHICKEN??
    Cheyenne P.

There was nothing good about my experience here with my gf. There was a family that was waiting for food when we came in on a Saturday night around 7pm. When we left, all they got were their fries. There were also a bunch of other people waiting long times for their food. This was our first and last time coming here. I ordered the chicken sandwich which I hardly ever do because the picture looked very crispy. See the picture. The worst chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. Go somewhere else.

I want to start with the positive: the food was GREAT! Super crispy, juicy, and flavorful wings and drums with delicious sauces, nice crispy fries, and THE BEST japchae I've had in a long time! I should be giving Bonchon 5 stars ... However, as soon as we stepped in the door, we noticed an unpleasant smell. Sitting down at the table to wait for our food, we couldn't help but notice how run-down, dingy, and downright dirty the restaurant was. The back part of the chairs were covered in dust, dandruff, and hair. The floors were light gray, but black and brown on the sides and corners due to caked-on grime. In many places, the floors were actually STICKY. They had boxes, gas tanks, and supplies stacked up in plain view next to the drink machine, which was partly out of order. Later, having eaten and really enjoying our food, we had to use the restroom. I dreaded going and, unfortunately, it was exactly as expected. Bonchon's bathroom was not unlike any local gas station bathroom you would walk into - just plain grimy. Sticky floors again, footprints where peoples' shoes had stuck to the floor, and a stinky odor. Just bad. I would love to return, but if the front of the house looks like that, what must the kitchen look like?! Honestly, what are they thinking running an establishment like that? I paid almost $80 for food to sit in that atmosphere.

Popped in for a quick lunch around noon, there was tons of seating open and staff were super kind. Food came out quickly and was super fresh! The crunch on the chicken is CRAZY, so yum, must try!

chicken strip :( but it looks so small like a nugget
    Ashley R.

I'm sorry, how is this a chicken strip? there is no meat!! it's unacceptable!!! Every piece was thin and basically uneatable. I feel like I got scammed for my money :(( Not only is it completely thin but also so small? It's not like they were closing and ran out of meat as this was ordered at 6PM. I keep coming back in hopes that it will be better and it never is :(

    Spicy wings and Bulgogi Fries
    Hannah P.

Pretty impressed with the food quality here considering it's a fast food restaurant. Staff is cute and friendly. I love that they also serve alcohol!!! Highly recommend their spicy wings and bulgogi fries...super flavorful! Five stars for BonChon.

Love this place but today was the worse chicken I've had. Super dry and no spicy sauce like I've ordered. I'm eating chicken with no sauce. I'm using buffalo sauce to finish my food.

Boxes and random junk - front end
    Jason K.

Food was great. Restaurant is straight up filthy. Owner needs to close down for two to three days and do a deep cleaning. Mummy dust on top of drink case and machines, filthy floor, random boxes, rags and random trash all over the front end. Employees sitting up on serving services. If this is a franchise location the main office needs to do a deep, extensive re-training and set minimum expectations.

Ask the Community - Bonchon Happy Valley

Are all of their wings a little bit spicy, or do they have some that are just regular crispy wings? Are the sides all seasoned with a spicy mix?

You can get the wings in three different flavors, soy garlic, spicy and plain. The so garlic isn't spicy at all. Believe the only side that's spicy would be the kimchi. Everything is is prepared normally.

You ever go somewhere thinking you'll just grab a quick bite, and next thing you know you're planning your return before you've even finished chewing? That's this place. What I like is they don't box themselves in. You've got Korean, Hawaiian, and a little mix of everything going on. I lean Hawaiian most days, something about it just hits right, especially when you're not trying to go all in. Sometimes you're just grabbing food, maybe bringing something back for later, pacing yourself like a responsible adult. This is that kind of spot. It works with you, not against you. And here's the thing, I used to write those safe reviews. "It's cute. Nice service." That tells nobody anything. That's background noise. This place deserves better than that. This is a spot you actually remember. Friendly people, solid food, and a consistency that turns a casual stop into a routine. Happy Valley's already a great area, so you're starting off on the right foot just being there. But if you're walking into that food cart pod and wondering where to go, I'm telling you straight up, this is one of the top choices. No overthinking it. Take my word for it, or don't. Either way, you'll end up here eventually.

My go-tos are the Shoyu or Teriyaki chicken plates, the Kalua Pork Plate, or the Bibimbap. My only do-betters are that the teriyaki chicken can sometimes be dry, and I wish both the chicken dishes came with a sauce. They do have sriracha packets if you ask. The plates come with rice, a small lettuce salad and dressing (could use a little more of that sometimes), and a mac salad with pretty simple black pepper seasoning. It's a good amount of food for the price. I also really appreciate, and choose to visit K-Bop, because they use the compostable clamshell containers, and not the wasteful single-use plastic like so many others. Recommended if you're stopping by his cart pod.

"Let me know if you have any questions!". We had questions about her menu items, and she answered them nicely and thoroughly, in detail. Okay, so we order two things: the S3 and the Spicy Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, and here's what U think about each: Tonkotsu Ramen: -The Meat doesn't have a huge initial, impactful taste, but the flavor settles in a couple seconds after you bite it and it's a very soft, warming feeling. -The Broth is where the spice is, and it's not like "oh my mouth is on fire" it's the type of spice that hits you in the back of the throat, so it's bearable but I couldn't chug it personally, I had to take sips which is nice for someone who devours their food like there's no tomorrow (like me). -The Noodles are.. just your typical Ramen noodles, nothing special to add there but nothing bad to say at all! -The Egg, although not marinated in soy sauce like some places do, was cooked well. The inside was soft and gooey, but the white was fully cooked. I have no complaints! -The Mushrooms added a nice texture to the noodles and the overall dish, and worked to make it even more satisfactory. The S3: -I don't have much to say because my cousin ordered it and I only had a few bites, but the veggies were cooked nicely... -The big boom about it was the noodles. If I had to describe it, I would say it's like.. an Orange Chicken type of Tater Tot, it was really unique and fun to eat. Next time I go, it'll be hard to decide what to order.. Okay, don't just take my word for it, go see for yourself! いただきます!

Chinese Delicacy Restaurant - Yelp Review…read more A former chef of mine and longtime friend recommended this place, saying it was at the very top of his list for Chinese food in the Portland area. I'm still not sure whether he was feeling nostalgic... or slightly intoxicated when he made that claim. Like several other Chinese restaurants I've reviewed recently, the exterior leaves a rough first impression. The signage is faded, the building shows visible wear, and overall maintenance appears neglected. Yes, it's on 82nd Ave, so expectations are naturally adjusted, but even with that in mind the property looks tired. Inside was better, though far from impressive. The dining room was passable. I've definitely seen worse. The waitress was friendly, seated me quickly, and brought tea and a menu. I ordered a standard combo dinner with a few modifications. They advertise substitution charges, so I assumed special requests wouldn't be an issue. I asked for extra egg and green onions in the fried rice. Unfortunately, there were no green onions at all and maybe a quarter of an egg total. The rice was heavily saturated with oil, making it greasy and unappetizing. Instead of barbecue pork, it contained small, indistinct bits of pork. The sweet and sour pork was the only decent part of the meal. It had a thin, crispy batter and wasn't drenched in the usual overly sweet red sauce. The sauce was more orange than red and was acceptable, though nothing special. Personally, I missed the pineapple and bell peppers found in many East Coast versions. The chow mein was disappointing. Very few vegetables, soft noodles, and minimal flavor. It felt bland and uninspired. Let's not forget to mention the three small pieces of baby corn in the chow mein with deteriorated kernels. I'm pretty sure it was rotten. I can imagine them pulling it out of a 1970 something Tupperware dish in the fridge and tossing it in there. I imagine it was bought in a number 10 can and I've been sitting in the fridge for six months. My palette is quick to pick up anything spoiled. I requested hot and sour soup but was initially served egg flower soup instead. After pointing out the mistake, the correct soup arrived. It was scalding hot and extremely thick with cornstarch. Flavor-wise, it was boring and forgettable. One taste was enough. I also ordered barbecue pork on the side. What arrived were three very thin slices that looked and tasted old, with a slightly off color. Definitely not fresh, and frankly unpleasant. Overall, this visit fell well below expectations. Final Grade: D D for disappointing, with several elements edging toward downright unpleasant.
