I can't believe there's no line here. Tasty, fresh veg, yummy sweet potato noodles, served pretty quickly and hot. Not very oily. Definitely going to make more visits to try more dishes.

I ordered the B3 and it was super tasty. The Mac Salad was very good reminded me of road side food on the big island..

Kalua pork, double Mac salad in place of their salad and rice!

To say I'm slightly addicted to their kalua pork and Mac salad is an understatement! I have to make myself stop eating it so I have leftovers! It usually comes with a salad which is really good, but I need extra Mac salad to go with the pork. It usually comes with 1 sauce and I got 2 because it's that good. Located at the happy valley food carts. Let's ear there so we don't lose this yummy food!!

    Grilled chicken, spicy sauce $9

I finally decided to try one of the newer food carts at Happy Valley station. It's close by and has lots of options. This place is first cart on the right as you come in from the main parking lot area. The menu is easy to read with clear options and pricing. I went with the teriyaki...err...Hawaiian grilled chicken spicy, with white rice and salad. $9 The chicken was cooked well, a little char here and there. You can have the original sauce, or as I got, the spicy Korean gochujang sauce. The sauce is original in terms of a spicy teri sauce...not terribly spicy but tasty. Chicken was cooked, not dry There is a scoop of white rice, salad and side of Mac. The Mac dropped it down one star, it was kinda bland for me. I really like Bamboo Grove, Roxy's Mac salad. Service was very prompt and friendly. I will. E back to try their other options for sure

    Bibimbap with spicy pork

I was super excited to see that a new korean/hawaiian food cart was about to open up. I LOVE korean and hawaiian food. Anyways they have bibimbap and it's a create your own bowl. You get to choose your veggies, protien, and sauce. I got the bibimbap with all the veggies, spicy pork and with the spicy korean sauce. It did not disappoint. The egg was cooked perfectly, the yolk was runny. All the veggies tasted super fresh and was not soggy. I like a little crunch texture of veggies. I would definitely come back and try the other dishes and also try the bibimbap with a different type or protein and sauce. We also tried the loco moco which was pretty good too! The beef patty was seasoned pretty good and the egg was cooked perfect as well! Always have to have a runny egg on top of your loco moco!

The shoyu chicken and the ribs were amazing! We've never been here before but are very glad we went. Parking took a minute but was to be expected for a Friday evening. The people were very nice and quick. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area!

    Shoyu Chicken
    Stephanie K.

Hands down one of my favorite food carts! I've never had such a juicy Shoyu Chicken and I will always come here when I'm craving! I'm usually hesitant to order Shoyu Chicken because most of the time it is dry. I can't even make it to my liking at home - but they nailed it! My husband loves Loco Moco and says this is his favorite place to get it. Also, I really appreciate that they don't skimp out on the mac salad cause I LOVE mac salad. I really want to come back and try their bibimbap bowls...another review to come~

$15 for loco moco. Way overpriced for the portion. Mac salad tasted like reesers and the gravy and patty did not taste good at all.

Despite the 3 star reviews, i gave it a shot anyway and honestly Im glad I did. This place is pretty good. The "pulehu" plates both the ribs and the chicken really reminded me of some guamanian food I used to get back home. That was a nice change pace instead of the usual, bbq beef, kal-bi, chicken katsu that all the Hawaiian places seem to offer. Both of these items were very good. Plates were pretty good size as well. The spam musubis were my only downer. They didnt cone out too good. Rice was super hard. Spam was really thin. But other than that, I really liked the food that i got, and the guys with liked theirs as well. I dont get out to Portland much unless im here for work but I would definitely come back to this spot.

The lunch plates come with 3 scoops of rice/mac salad, and we came home with leftovers. Despite the raving reviews about the mac salad, we both felt it was lacking. It was fine, but not to rave about. We both felt it needed good old salt and pepper, which was nowhere to be found. The seating in the restaurant is par with "covid separation" and not a lot of tables but lots of floor space. For the three adults, we had to pull one of the micro-tables over with a chair so we could sit together. My plate lunch came with a sauce, and I was asked which one I wanted, but when our order arrived, guess what? Just like other reviews, no sause. It was even listed on our receipt, so how was that missed when our order was bagged? Was the chicken a bit over cooked? Yes. In fact, my "crispy chicken" should be called, "crunchy" as not only was the outside coating crispy, but so was much of the chicken meat. The sauces available at the table were one spicy and one teriyaki. I liked the slightly spicy, but the teriyaki was just sweet brown water. Was it good? Overall, yes. Was there room for improvements? Yes, in several areas, as I've covered in this review.

But today, I had the time to swing by and fortunately he was open, but SOLD OUT. Fortunately, he had a few things left over. So I said yes to a mix plate. Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised
