Always a great time with friends here! Such fun (and tasty) cocktails with good food too. I always get the basic all-you-can-eat, and it's perfect! The bulgogi (regular and spicy) and garlic pork belly are my favorite meats to order. The ambiance is great. The wait to get seated can often be long, but it's worth it. Service has always been friendly, although on a few occasions it's been quite slow. They typically have K-pop playing with music videos on the tv which is fun. It's a bit pricey, but with it being all-you-can-eat it makes it worth it. Just make sure you come hungry! It is possible to order al a carte though so you don't have to get the all-you-can-eat option. I recommend!

I haven't been here in a long time, but just as good as I remember. Yes, the other reviews are correct, it can be a wait, but, it's worth it, and on this Friday, our party was about 25-30 min. Grab a drink in the waiting area or brave the outside (with drink). Seth at the front is all over it, making sure you're are seen, get onto the list and takes his time chatting, answering questions and making the experience, awesome! Once seated, if you are lucky to get her, Silvia is amazing. I've seen some hit or miss on service from other reviews, and with her, it's a hit and more! Everything is set up, and she's there to take your first round right away, and comes back often, and by that I mean, watches and even before you know it--is there to ensure you're having a great time or change out the grill. Atmosphere is young, loud (in a good way), and has a bit of a club feel. The food is great! Korean food is pricey even at the grocery store and you'd be hard pressed to replicate this variety at home for the same or a cheaper price in my opinion. We went with the $34.99 a person AYCE and got absolutely stuffed in about an hour. Their kimchee is on the fresh side, if that makes sense, which I prefer with BBQ vs a longer ferment. All other sides are fantastic and meat quality is excellent.

Service here was excellent. Our waitress was so good and she explained things, was attentive and overall just fantastic. She was the best part of the meal!! So nice and friendly. Food was really good and they recently changed the special to add a lunch menu special that is every day and it's only $23.99 for the AYCE BBQ deal. Which is a great deal. Only downside is that it doesn't include sides or my tofu soup but it was still such a great deal and I ordered a Tofu soup to go for tomorrow. Yum.

Food and selections were decent. Our server, Ani, was great and very attentive and impressive. There's a private parking lot, that was surprisingly full on a Tuesday night. We didn't have to wait to be seated but, I can imagine that it probably gets pretty busy on the weekends. Nice decor with the soju bottles. Large and unique drink list. Noise level was average. Cost is reasonable for AYCE.

Traditional Korean BBQ can be found at this place with multiple locations. They have a lot of rules, like four different meats per round or everyone at the table ordering the same AYCE - which makes it a little tough. Prices a little high. In a strip mall with plenty of parking, we got a table right away. If you are at the tables near the door, be prepared for a wind gust every time the door opens. While fast to drop water, silverware, and side dishes - it was hard to get someone later to order or clear items. They could benefit from buttons to call the servers like Korea. I appreciate how much they will change your grill top. The food is traditional and tasty. Bulgogi and Galbi are recommended for beginners.

This place is definitely busy, and parking can be a challenge, but we only waited about 15 minutes to be seated. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are really friendly! We tried the all-you-can-eat option for $35 per person, and it did not disappoint. The meat and sides were incredible, perfectly seasoned definitely planning to come back!

Staff is always great when we come in. 10/10 service. Fast, friendly and food is always fresh. Can get a little smokey when it's busy.

Driven by for years and finally stopped. It satisfied my craving for Korean food, but it's about as low-end of any Korean restaurant I've visited. Observation: not one Korean employee. The Dolsot Bibimbap was subpar, but ample. The banchan: meh. The interior ambiance: sloppy. The outside: sketch. Service: friendly and above average. Meaning, she checked-in a few times, was pleasant, a little above and beyond actually. So would I come back after all that? Yes, because it's value including generous reorders of banchan.

Got delivery and all of it was delicious. The highlights actually unfortunately aren't pictured but we liked the bone broth rice cake soup and the Mandu soup

We went for the first time and to be honest I don't understand the negative reviews. There were two of us and it was like 2-3 pm when we went so a weird hour. The restaurant was clean, service was incredibly friendly, continued to check on us and were very quick. We did the all you could eat and to be honest with the two of us we struggled to finish that second plate of meat. We loved all the sides they brought to us, the sauce and what I assume is MSG was great as well. I don't feel like they were stingy with the meat they brought or they slowed service at all! We also got to mixed drinks which were AMAZING. Honestly we had fun, loved the food and left very happy.

K-Town Korean BBQ in Portland, Oregon is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and collaborative dining experience. I'm a huge fan of Korean BBQ, but not all restaurants are created equal. K-Town has a youthful and vibrant energy with giant tv screens playing sports and K-Pop. With cement floors and lots of stainless steel, the space is filled with loud music and a cacophony of voices and kitchen sounds. If you are looking for a relaxing dinner filled with great conversation, this might not be the place. The real star of the show is the food... simply delicious food. The menu offers a wide variety of meat and vegetables to grill at your table. Do yourself a favor and be a little adventurous when ordering. The staff are friendly and communicative, and always have lots of recommendations. Feel free to ask for a sample portion of any of the ingredients, just to try it out. You can always order more. My favorites include: Bulgogi, thinly sliced beef brisket, Teriyaki Chicken, Daepae Samgyupsal, and the miso pork belly. Be warned, this place can be very busy on the weekends. On several occasions I've had to wait 2 hours to be seated, and the lobby can be brutal when hungry folks are crowded and hot. There are a few bar tables in front of the restaurant for those who want to wait outside, but it's quite noisy due to the high traffic intersection nearby. Come early with friends and an empty belly and you'll be sure to have an amazing time.

Ask the Community - K-Town Korean BBQ

How much is their base package?

Do they still do the 1pm-5pm happy hour menu?

The Happy Hour menu is now gone :( We went their recently and asked in person, after noticing that it's no longer on their menu.

Can I go in by myself for all you can eat?

    Yes. You can do it.

What is their limit per group?

I have seen parties that appeared to be as large as 16 people dining during my visits.

Do they serve Korean garlic bread? It's currently the craze in Asia. I'm living in Indonesia at the moment, but moving back to Portland next year. I hope it'll be there soon to eat.

Besides some of the meat, do they have items without gluten? My sister is very allergic.

Absolutely! They have meat items for the BBQ table that are not marinated in any sort of sauce and are gluten-free. The veggies that come with the BBQ table, as well, are not marinated in any sort of sauce.

    Is Vancouver open yet?

    No...looking close though.

Is there a separate All-You-Can-Eat price for children?

I was there about a month ago. Kids 4-8 yrs old are half price of the adult AYCE order. My daughter wanted noodles and they made an exception to let her order off the menu and not be included in the AYCE. Normally they require everyone at the table…

    What are the prices?

Prices can be found on our online menu at http://www.ktownkoreanbbq.com/menu

    What are the lunch hours?

They give a lot of vegetables, which is so nice, because other places are very sparing with their ingredients. I'm usually left with so much rice at the end. However, this place did a good job giving the right amount of ingredients. They also gave a small cup of miso soup - thank you! Would get this again! My husband enjoyed his tofu version. If you're someone who wants spice, add some of the red sauce they give you in a cup. I was very happy the spicy pork wasn't spicy, but I liked being able to control any spice with the red sauce.

Location: This bar is on the first floor of the Hyatt House Portland / Downtown. Ambiance: Pretty quiet and chill. There weren't a lot of people there so it was really easy to get a drink. Drink options: I really loved how they circle around different local beer on tap. They also have a few bottled beer too. They have a cast amount of liquor too. Surprisingly, they had a new bottle of Hennessy when we finished the first (during our stay). Usually a lot of bars in hotels don't have it, so that was a major plus. Bartenders: We met three while we were there. All of them super kind, friendly, and informative of the surrounding area. They gave us lots of tips on what to see, eat, and drink. They were really down to earth people. Pricing: I thought it to be fairly reasonable for a hotel, however I might just be jaded from Bay Area pricing (yikes). What I loved about this bar is that we were able to just chat with the bartender. I didn't feel like I had to go back to my room with my drink (which is usually the case). I was able to talk to a few other people sitting at the bar too. Of course all from out of town, but still nice talking to other friendly strangers. They do serve food at this place, but I didn't really get a chance to try it it since there was soooo many other food joints in the area.
