Korean Street corn
Jennifer T.

Absolutely delicious! As my first review of 2025 I am glad it could be a place with amazing food. The have been rated as some of the best chicken wings in the US and I agree. We got the Mixed 9 which was 3 drumsticks and 6 of a wing mix. We got the soy garlic and yangnyeom. Next time I would not get drumsticks as they were not as flavorful since it was a larger piece of meat. The chicken was crunchy and delicious and so tender ! The Korean Street corn was good but the side is a shareable portion. The twoadies helping us were so kind and patient as we determined what we wanted. The inside could easily hold small groups and they had a side to chill in some couches as well. Many people got takeout however.

Outstanding! Stopped in for lunch for the first time and I am glad I did. The restaurant is spotless clean and on point with all the details. From signage to condiments. I chose the lunch special offered for $10.75. (M-F 11-3) 8 chicken wings and a side of seasoned fries. The soy garlic wings were very tasty with a good crunch. The seasoned fries were just as good with just the right amount of seasoning. Definitely goes on my list of top ten wing places around. "Every piece of Bonchon chicken is double-fried then hand brushed with our signature sauce". Very friendly and accommodating counter help with table service. The menu has plenty of other options including soups and other Korean dishes. Washrooms as well were spotless clean. If you're into wings then definitely try them out. Easy on street parking or lot.

Buns nasty

Chicken great but don't waste your time on the buns .. to much money for something really not good and also ridiculously over priced and no dipping sauce for the dumplings ? Why?

The chicken is not as crunchy as the store from Fort Lee. The sauce is little saltier. Not sure why they are different. Service is good. Most are to go orders it seems.

My FAVE : Soy Garlic and Sweet Chili Wings

Okay, so have you ever dreamt of the most delectable, light, crispy and savory fried chicken in ASMR heaven? Nothing compares to BonChon Chicken and the way they are able to create a memorable experience for your mouth and taste buds! Absolutely divine! But what stands apart at this particular location is definitely with the Manager and their staff, it is above par in the way they handle customer relations. I've seen enough during COVID of having minor misunderstandings to explode into enormous issues between Restaurant workers and customers. Today, I visited with a guest and we made a comment about our food when it came out and not only was the staff member accommodating, the Manager brought out a replacement within minutes. I was super impressed with both the staff and the Manager, especially when they checked back in to see if everything was to our satisfaction. I ended up making more purchases just because you want to support businesses who place such importance to their customers. Really appreciated the attentiveness! My favorite to-go lunch combination is the Soy Garlic and Sweet Chili Wings (for a bit of salty and bit of sweet and a WHOLE LOT of ASMR inducing crunch!) and always with a side of the white pickled radish that brings this whole combination to a savory sensation! I'm so glad that there is this location nearby when I have a hankering for fried chicken - - you can't beat the taste!

Pork mandoo - ok
Go Bruins 1.

This Bonchon location is not very good. The wings here are tiny and very dry. The soy/garlic had little sauce, and the plain ones were especially dry and shriveled, making them inedible. They tasted like they were made earlier, put in the refrigerator and then refried or worse microwaved. Our son took one bite, and stopped eating it, which is unusual. Our local Shoprite in Wyckoff makes better wings.....Ouch. Japchae was ok, but noodles were overcooked. We ordered with extra protein, and was quite disappointed with how little meat it had. Fried pork mandoo - your typical premade/grocery/frozen kind put in the fryer. Even though it's a short drive from home, we don't plan on coming back. All the items we ordered (see pics) were around $75, before adding tip. = Totally not worth it. Don't recommend. : 3 chicken wings

Plastic container half full with tasteless fried rice. They can do much better.

I gave Bon Chon another chance after a disappointing wing experience during the Super Bowl when they were clearly over their heads and didn't use any coating just to get some wings made. So I called and asked if they had remedies this problem and the young person assured me that yes, they had some complaints but that the issue was solved. I ordered for takeout the Takoyaki, wings and legs combo and Uson Bulgogi. Unfortunately, the wings are not what they used to be and the moniker "hear the Crunch" no longer applies. They are now simply slightly fried with no coating and lots of sauce like another Korean Wing restaurant in Ridgewood NJ that I wouldn't go to because it was loaded with sauce. What was so delicious about the wings and legs before their recipe change was specifically the coating and nominal sauce. Great crunch, flavor and hint of sauce. Now, lots of sauce, no coating or minimal crunch so no different than supermarket wings. On top of that, don't order the Takoyaki as they are meant to be served hot and immediate. As a fried item they get soft and mushy quickly in the aluminum takeout covered in plastic and the fried rice was loaded with onions and no taste. The slightly spicy Udon with Bulgogi is good. All said, I am always sad when a restaurant changes things up to either make more money on less supplies being used or from headquarters recipe change or some other reason. I know how hard a small business has to work to survive or even prosper. The people are nice and no doubt do work hard, but with so many choices, I can't go back after two disappointing visits.

Japchae

Order ubereats while in quarantine. Food delivered in a timely manner and still warm, did not need to reheat. I've had their soy garlic wings before and they were on point. The sweet crunch ones tasted of honey and it was nice to alternate between salty and sweet. The spicy wings are too hot for me. I was pleasantly surprised to find pork buns and japchae on the menu. Both were excellent but I particularly loved the japchae. It has a nice amount of sauce. Theirs does have meat in it, some japchaes I have had are vegetarian. Will order again when craving Korean food.

Stopped in and had a great lunch. Tteokeokki and Bimbap with Bolgogi , very good. Service was very friendly and efficient. I wish there was one of these in Central New Jersey.!!!

I picked up my order via DoorDash and was pleased that by the time I reached home and unpacked the items, everything was there. My order of 10 wings, 10 drumsticks, a bulgogi bibimbap, french fries, and pork buns was still pretty warm after traveling 30 minutes. Wow, is spicy still spicy! Combined with the hot temperature of the food and hot spice level, I teared up with each bite of spicy drumstick and wing. The complimentary radish did not cool things off nor did the fries. I should have delayed my enjoyment of the pork bun until after I had eaten the spicy chicken. Wow. Nothing special about the bibimbap so I would not order that again from here. Then again, you come for the chicken! Its location is both good and bad. There's a parking lot so that's good but if you're coming from Rt. 208, you have to wind your way through poorly lit streets at night. This location was busy last Friday night. When I walked in to pick up my order, I saw a bunch of receipts with orders laid out neatly. There is no indoor seating at the moment and there is an area to grab utensils and condiments if necessary with a sign to use gloves before handling.

Beef was tangy spicy (but not too spicy) and crispy and it came out hot and fast. Appreciate the fact that the beef was not chewy or tough They also add these crispy onions on top of their bowls which is a nice touch. My boyfriend got the Cajun pork cutlet bowl over lo mein. You get to choose your base for the bowls which is nice. The lo mein noodles are thicker than the typical lo mein noodles you see at Chinese takeout, these look more like pho. Either way, I tried a bite and they were great and the flavors were there. My boyfriend also loves their soup and the homemade chips are awesome. In terms of ambiance this is more of a daytime spot. Not too many seats. It's very bright inside maybe because there's a lot of plants in there on the wall. It's still nice, just not that dim nighttime ambiance and there aren't a ton of seats . You place your order at the register or they also have a convenient self order kiosk. We will be definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.

Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

After learned that they couldn't add a fried egg and no sausage option with the grilled pork, I opted for the three meat combo over rice instead, beef, chicken and lamb. The meat were flavorful and honestly I couldn't tell between lamb and beef in the end. But it was so good, especially with the fish sauce, yummy. Kids enjoyed the fried rice and wanted more of the spring rolls. Only dish that we were thrilled by was the beef stew, ok to skip. The place is small with limited seating. If you are a party of more than four you could have a hard time with tables. There was just one small round table that could accommodate a part of six, but beyond that, they will have to put together a few tables which is a challenge on the weekends. Location is super convenient. There is a Haagen-Dazs right around the corner and a laundry mat. Drop off your laundry, get some Pho, then stop by Haagen Dazs for dessert, sounds like a perfect night.

We arrived early, which was a good thing, as more and more people came in, including some families, and eventually there was a line of people trying to eat here. The service was friendly, though a tad slow, likely because they were overwhelmed. Since I had a headache, I got a Vietnamese Iced Coffee/Cà Phê Sữa Dá for $5.99. This was properly done, being lightly sweet with plenty of strong coffee flavor. On a side note, instead of the standard sriracha, they have a much tastier Vietnamese brand of hot sauce here, which I appreciated. We started with two appetizers. As they were out of the Curry Chicken Skewers/Gà Xiên Nướng Cà Rị, we started with the Lemongrass Beef Skewers/Bò Nướng Xả for $9.95, served with spring onion, fried onion flakes, and soybean peanut sauce. This was my favorite dish of the evening as the beef had plenty of lemongrass flavor, and was tender and juicy. The little side salad was a good accompaniment, and the sauce was nice, but not needed. I would recommend this heavily. We also got the Summer Rolls/Gỏi Cuốn for $7.49, with vermicelli, lettuce, mint leaves, pickled daikon, and peanut sauce. Said dish has a choice between shrimp and tofu, and we got the latter. These were standard with a slightly chewy wrapper and plenty of vegetables. This was nice and refreshing with a good peanut sauce. For my main dish, I got the Grilled Vermicelli Platter/Bún Thịt Nướng with Mỹ Tho vermicelli noodles, assorted vegetables, mint, and house dressing. The price depends on topping, and I got the $15.49 option with a combo of three, with my choices being pork, spring rolls, and beef. As with the appetizer, the beef was tender and had some lemongrass flavor. The pork was on the bone and likely marinated similarly to the beef and was also tasty, though a bit less tender. The spring rolls were freshly fried being hot and crunchy, though a little oily. They were my least favorite part, but I've never been the biggest fan of spring rolls, regardless of culture, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The fish sauce added a mild sweetness to the cold vermicelli, and I liked the dish a bit more once I added their hot sauce as per usual. This was good overall and a good portion size to boot. Another person got a Pho with beef and brisket for $12.99, and there was also a decently priced Combination Pho/Phở Dặc Biệt for the same price as my entree. I tried a bit of the broth, which was good, and there were plenty of noodles. The last person, who was not as hungry, ordered a very reasonably priced Chicken Bahn Mi/Bánh Mì Gà for $8.95, which they liked. This was an above-average Vietnamese place, and I could see why there were lines to get in. The food was decently priced, the meat was cooked properly, and the portions were nice. I would recommend it if you're in the area and you're looking for Vietnamese food.
