My wife and I were picking up produce, coffee, and poultry nearby. (A true food lovers Saturday day trip) We ran into lunch time and I had found Ike's Big Mouth on Yelp. Definitely a bit of a lunch rush crowd, which is a good sign. The other good signs included the professional staff that handled the crowd extremely well and the actual signs showing a really wide ranging menu! We ordered a couple of wraps after agonizing over the great options. We were able to luck into a table. The California grilled chicken wrap featured avocado and bacon and the chicken pesto wrap had fresh mozzarella, arugula, peppers, and a delicious pesto. We shared the wraps, half each and I loved both! I can see why they're highly rated and we will certainly return to sample the rest of the menu! read more

We're from Philly and this is the only place in Northern NJ where we'll get a steak sandwich. It's authentic and it's very good.

Can't really tell you about a kind of things on the menu because I gravitate to many of the same things but they are all excellent. The Warrior is awesome. I also love the Gladiator and the drunken chicken. My kids love the winter salad so I think it's worth mentioning that too. all tasty wall generous portions. The service is pretty excellent because every single time I go to pick up what I've ordered it is ready and everybody there is very friendly. I like that for a neighborhood spot The only feedback I would give this restaurant is to work on their Buffalo wing sauce. I think it is too heavy on the harshness of spice and not quite interesting enough. I'd love for them to improve this. I'm still a regular either way! read more

So I just waited an hour for delivery. Normally this place is decent. But the last three times the bread has been stale. Today was the same. Two day old bread or a day old I would guess. I called. They were awesome about reimbursement right away without question. So kudos to them. But. I'm stuck with food I can't eat and now need to find another place to order from and wait for delivery as I can't drive due to medical issues. So. At first I thought they were way overpriced but once I got my mammoth of a chicken sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack cheese I realized they are actually a bargain because it was enough for 2 meals! My biggest pet-peeve with sandwich shops is when their chicken cutlet isn't fresh and is super soggy. What's the point of getting chicken cutlet if you don't have that crispy exterior? But not here. Chicken cutlet is crispy. Vegetables are fresh. Bread is solid. The different combinations are delicious. My only gripe - not a negative to this place - is that it's so far from me. Haha. Weekday service is equally good, and friendly, but lately on weekends it suffers badly. If you order online or on the phone Saturday or Sunday, assume a good wait beyond the time they tell you it's going to be ready (today, 20+ minutes extra for me). Let me be honest. I was craving my favorite local sandwich shop Bogies Hoagies . However they are not open on a Sunday. Still craving a good sandwich I used my friend "Yelp to Help" . Well my friend Yelp came through. Yelp recommended a place called Ike's Big Mouth about 12 mins local driving from my house. Nestled on a random side street in Waldwick is Ike's . Ike's was bright and clean inside . My order was ready when I arrived . In the mood for chicken, we ordered the chicken cutlet with provolone LTM and extra vinegar and the Gladiator : Breaded Chicken Cutlet topped with Ranch Dressing, Pepper Jack Cheese, Bacon, Lettuce, and Ike's Spicy Chipotle Honey Sauce. Both sandwich's were a . They also offer wings on the menu which I figured "why not". I threw the wings in the oven for 5 mins when I got home and they crisped back up and brought great flavor and juiciness . A-OK! Finding myself in this part of New Jersey, I've definitely been impressed by some deli's. Sadly, Ike's didn't fulfill those sammy dreams. I ended up with a basic grilled chicken, fresh mutz, roasted red peppers, balsamic in a whole wheat wrap and although the grilled chicken was juicy and tasty, the sandwich itself was a bit meager and pretty regularly good. Nothing I wouldn't say no to in the future, just not as impressive as others. What could have been better? The mutz was cut super thin, I think added a bit more of that delicious mutz would have been helpful. The roasted red peppers did nothing for the sandwich? Do you soak them in house? Have you tried adding garlic to the deep soak? The chicken was good, but also maybe could have used a bit more. Maybe a balsamic glaze adding a bit more oomph to the sandwich as a whole. Plenty of street parking as well as a lot and they sell wings? It ain't cheap and they charge you $1 for celery which I mean, wings and celery go hand in hand. The chicken is very fresh and you can taste the difference in what they offer. Pro-tip: Make sure to request your bread toasted for an even better experience. As many have mentioned, the Honey Chipotle Sauce is delicious.
