The last time I had Bonchon was two years ago when I lived in Maryland and coming back for a visit I had to come. I came in during lunch and they have a special roughly between 11-3 (not accurate on the times). I ordered the 10 piece boneless wings, half spicy and soy garlic with a side of rice. (Roughly 13 dollars for the lunch special) Service was pretty quick as well! My order came out in about 10 minutes. The wings were SO SO GOOD just like I remembered. My favorite are the soy garlic wings. They are tangy, with a hint of sweetness. I love the spicy wings as well but be warned they are a bit hot. I took a while to finish them. The portion sizes are huge so I definitely had this for lunch and dinner! Overall, I was very pleased!!! I love Bonchon and will be back!

I was first introduced to Bonchon when I lived in Columbus Ohio (those locations are closed now). The chicken was crisp, saucy and delicious! After the locations closed, I was unable to get the beloved Korean chicken. I recently moved to Maryland and, lo and behold, there is a location less than 5 mins from me! Imagine my excitement. I gushed to my husband about how amazing the chicken is! It's located in a plaza that's easily accessible from the road. There is plenty of parking and there is curbside pick up. My husband and I ordered two 8-piece tender meals--one with fries and one with rice. I loved it with the rice while in Columbus because it was easy to sop up that wonderful soy garlic taste. Well... the strips were coated lightly. There was no extra sauce for the rice. The strips were... OK. They weren't as crispy as I had remembered and the soy garlic was lacking because they was barely any sauce. But, no worries! I told myself I'd just go get a cup of extra sauce on the side. I drove back to the location to be told NO and that the sauce is brushed on and is not given out. So, I am less than thrilled. My husband and I haven't been back since. He said that he enjoyed the taste and the fresh chicken but would have loved extra sauce too and a little bit more fried. I will probably return for lunch because it's cheaper but it won't be anything I'm seeking. Too bad.

Ordered online for pick up, and food was ready at the time provided. Wings and fries were both good and crispy. Restaurant is in a convenient location with lots of parking.

i have past this restaurant many times and never tried if so decided to check it out. the location i went to was takeaway only so i ordered ahead and picked up my togo order i ordered the kimchi and the veggie potstickers. 8 come in the order and you can get them plain or marinated in sauce; i choose to split so half plain and half is soy garlic sauce. the soy garlic sauce was really good and complimented the potstickers and the kimchi was very good overall good food and good flavor

Not sure what's up with this location. Ordered pick up and got there exactly at the time they sent the pick up order text to let them know I was there. Ordered 16 wings and the potstickers. The sauce on both are way off than usual. A bit sour. You can tell they don't double fry it here. The Columbia location I can save leftovers for lunch the next day and it's still crispy. On pickup the skin was flaking off and all soggy. Taste like some Buffalo Wild Wings. The food wasn't even warm at all, had to reheat in the microwave. I love bonchon and this one is nearby but I will continue making the drive to Columbia or Arundel location. The girl who brought out the order was nice. However, last time we ate here inside it seems like the workers just don't care. There was one who was on lunch eating at the bar playing movies/videos on his phone really loud. There was one guy running around having to do everything. What a shame.

I've heard a lot about Bonchon and now I have a location close to home. They're mainly known for the Korean fried chicken which oddly, I didn't partake in during my visit. They have lunch specials which include a variety of items from their fried chicken to fried rice to Korean tacos. I decided to get the Korean tacos to go. I got the tacos with beef bulgogi and they were topped off with coleslaw and some type of sauce. I really enjoyed them. So far, a good experience and I look forward to returning to try other items on the menu, including the fried chicken.

Their food tastes very good, they are very friendly, the portion sizes are more than acceptable, and the menu is robust. I feel like their service has gone downhill in the last year. I have had multiple orders missing food. Since I order for a family, that leaves someone out and I've paid a lot. Waiting for what's missing is not an option since the other food gets cold and the family has to wait. On the last occasion I was missing an entire large meal plus rice, and they refused to credit back my card. It was delivery and they said I could drive there and get a cash refund. Drive? I paid for delivery. Refund? One family member goes hungry. Then they agreed to deliver another one right away. It never came so they obviously lied. I called back an hour later and they said the same thing, come drive here and get a cash refund. It's unethical to lie to your customers and even worse that this isn't the first time. I gave a four out of five, but one more instance and they go down a star. I'm now using the competition for most orders.

Maybe restaurants prepare with medium firmness tofu, which makes the dish heavier due to the higher protein of a denser type of Tofu

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. I came in about an hour before closing, and anyone who eats out knows food can sometimes feel different that close to closing time. Not here. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as if I had walked in at peak dinner time. On top of that, I had an issue with my online order/payment. It looked like the charge was processing through my account, but they had no record of the order. Instead of making me feel like a problem, the person helping me was patient, kind, and genuinely tried to figure it out. I felt treated like a hungry customer who needed help not like someone trying to get over. The food looked good, tasted amazing, and the people were helpful, welcoming, and kind even near closing. Now for the Maryland softie, my first bite was heavenly (full of the crab-cake and remoulade), but as I kept eating it, I realized I would've just preferred it with just crab cake, not the soft shell too. Was it worth the hype? kind of. It's pricey so maybe one and done for me. Now the crab Rangoon egg roll, that was a miss for me. It is cheesy and filled with imitation crab, but too small for me at the price point. And I didn't find it super tasty personally. My sister who is also a yelp elite had a totally different take and loves it, so maybe it's subjective. I did have it 4 hours (put it in air-fryer) after I got it so maybe eating it super fresh is the difference. Space is limited so better for carryout, and the person taking my order was friendly. It'll probably take 20-30 mins for your order to come out, depending on how many people there are and pickup orders they have to complete. Overall, this place is a Maryland staple at this point and anyone who visits MD should 100% try and check out their famous fried chicken, whether as a bao sandwich or a rice bowl.

The food came out quickly and in whatever order it was ready. However, the some of the service was struggling. The tables are small and easily overcrowded with 3-4 small plates, but neither our waiter nor any of the 5 food runners cleared our dirty dishes away. So we stacked the plates ourselves so they could drop more dishes. But to maximize your money, I suggest visiting at lunch. M-Friday until 3:15pm, you can get lunch price and pair with water, saving 7$ per adult. And the lunch selection is 85% or better as good as dinner choices. THE GOOD: Great variety and quality for the price - dedicated staff too THE BAD: Not much, avoid Sundays - mobbed, but that in itself is a compliment. Like any buffet, there is an occasional off dish, but the winners pick up the slack As a proud Marylander, I've dined here 2-3xs a month since 2018. I go because I leave full and satisfied knowing it was money well spent. They have a delectable variety of dishes with plenty for all preferences and diets. Whether you are strict low carb, looking for healthy options, or just don't care and want to savor it all - this is the place. Let me say, if you love seafood, one modest plate of huge hardshell crabs, crawfish and mussels alone will easily cover the price. The salad bar is stacked with sauces and desserts (fruits, cakes, pudding and more). They have a fantastic made-to-order hibatchi bar, great sushi, and of course all the Chinese take-out favorites.
