    We enjoyed our time!

Empty plate says it all. Potstickers were phenomenal. The strips were amazing. So good. The sauce is good but not overpowering. The chicken is crispy and the seasoned fries were very good. Now I need to figure out how to get this food out of my system, if you know what I mean. BonChow!

Korean Street Corn, Strips (korean bbq flavor)

Everything here is really bland. The pickled radish, the chicken, the street corn. None of the dishes had the Korean flavors I'm used to. I've eaten bonchon three times and each time I've regretted coming here...maybe I keep ordering the same thing, that's why? I get the Korean bbq flavor...definitely not what I was craving. And it's so weird that they don't give you rice complimentary. Posting this as a reminder to not order the same thing again. The service has been good though and the food came out quickly and parking is easy. Hence the three stars

    Beef Bulgogo waste!

The food is as plain as can be, no flavor in the Beef Bulgogi, the chicken wings are over cooked, the chicken Karan is over cooked. Not sure why this place has customers, probably because the neighboring Korean place is packed!

I unfortunately didn't take a picture of my food as I did take out and then went straight to eating but WOWW! We've had people tell us about their fried chicken and finally gave it a try. I'm super bummed I didn't come to this place as soon as it opened in Roseville because I've been missing out . Parking was very easy as they have it right in front and to place a take out order it was pretty quick. I did half and half of sauces for chicken wings which were super flavorful and had a side of kimchi which was perfect to accompany the meal and a side of fried rice plain. Service was great and food was perfect. Next time I'll be dinning in for sure !

I went to the location in Roseville for the first time today (I usually go to the one in Maple Grove) and the food was nowhere near as good. Some items were fried for a little too, and there seemed to be no communication between the servers. What was most disappointing was that I ordered take out food to bring home to my boyfriend and the "chicken strips" i got were nuggets overcooked and dry. It's like I got the leftovers of the frying basket. I always order this item for my boyfriend so I know what to expect. Will be a loyal costumer to the Maple Grove store.

Been craving tteokbokki so we decided to try out this place. The vibe was very casual and the servers were super nice and quick with ours and others needs. The food didn't take too long to come out and came out steaming hot! My bf tried pork belly bao buns for the first time and loved how the combination of the fluffy bun went with the crispy pork belly. I absolutely loved my tteokbokki and it was nice and spicy to my liking (: We also shared the Bulgogi Fries and it was delicious but I think I'll ask for extra spicy mayo next time, but that's just my preference! You get pretty big portions for what you order and not too badly priced with the entire experience as well, definitely one of my comfort food go to from now on

First time at bonchon did not disappoint! The food arrived super fast and everything was phenomenal. The wings were incredibly crispy and flavorful. The pickled radish and coleslaw were nice to have on the side to balance out the fries and chicken. I will definitely return!

Fried chicken is delicious!! The spicy was too hot for me but the chicken itself was amazing. Garlic is a great flavor ! I also ordered pork buns... they were perfect! This place hit the spot and I definitely would come back!

The BEST place!! This is such a comfort food place. There is tons and seating and the service is incredibly quick. They had our food out in under 10 minutes. My favorite item is the steamed buns-the meat is so perfectly crispy and juice, and sweet and savory at the same time!! The ambiance is low lighting, so it's easy on the eyes! This Roseville location has a ton of parking, so that's so great to never have to worry about that when I'm visiting here!

Fantastic wings! I got half spicy and half soy and much preferred the soy. Decent coleslaw. I've had better bao. Will definitely return.

The atmosphere is stylish without feeling pretentious, the music fits the space, and the service was outstanding. The server knew the menu inside and out and made choosing easy. The Shrimp & Fennel dumplings were light and fresh with a subtle fennel flavor, while the Chicken & Green Chili dumplings brought a little Serrano heat without overpowering the chicken. As simple as it seems, the side of kimchi was a standout. Bright, crisp, flavorful, and just enough heat to keep reaching for another bite. Left impressed. Looking forward to coming back for another round of dumplings and diving into the full dinner menu.

Decided to try Minari for my birthday this year. All in all, we were very impressed. The service is…read moretop-notch, as is the ambiance (both some of the best in the Twin Cities). The food is mostly good, although there is something missing still that could make this restaurant truly one of the best in the state. Still, it's a great night out, especially if you like Korean and/or Chinese food. Here's a rundown: The food: First and foremost, Minari has special menus to meet many dietary restrictions. Not just symbols on one menu, but different menus depending on your restrictions. That's amazing. We ordered off of the Dairy Free (DF) menu, which does include a lot of their dishes from the regular menu. The Szechuan Ribs were my favorite, they are exquisite. The KFC wings are good too, although they could have used a bit more sauce (I am used to Korean-style wings being pretty saucy). The pork jowl was good but did not have quite enough gojuchang flavor. The accompaniments that came with it were awesome, especially the sauces. The bonchon need some work; I would love to see more traditional bonchon, ours had a couple "fusion" type dishes that were a little too contemporary for us. The drinks: The Minari Old Fashioned was AWESOME, a great drink (and the rice cracker was great too). Highly recommend this. The service was some of the best in the metro. From entering (where the host stand will make sure you have appropriate menu(s)), to the server, who was perfectly attentive and very knowledgeable about every dish, including dietary issues, to the complimentary tea and birthday sparkling wine, I can't say enough about the service here. The only weird thing is the dim sum, I would actually just put the dim sum dishes on the menu and bring them out on demand. The ambiance was really nice, and the bathrooms were clean. The final thing I would say is that I think that Minari could benefit from making their Korean dishes a little bit more traditional...as I mentioned earlier, small touches like making the wings a bit "saucier," more gojuchang flavor on the dishes that feature it, and more traditional bonchon would all be great. Still, this is a phenomenal place to dine/drink in NE Minneapolis, and if you like Korean and Chinese food, you will not be disappointed!

One section is a traditional Korean BBQ and you cook your own food. The other section is where you can place orders and they cook the food for you. The Korean BBQ side was pretty packed. Dong Hae 2 is located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. We ordered the AYCE which consists of Korean BBQ and Sushi. The cost was $45/person. They give you order sheets and you fill them out for each order. For the Sushi, we concentrated on the Salmon, Yellowtail, Escolar Sashimi (which you can order 4 at a time). For nigiri , we tried our standard Yellowtail, Salmon, Eel, Escolar. The sashimi was pretty good and the size of the pieces was generous. The sushi was okay. A little too much rice for our taste. For the Korean BBQ, we got the Kalbi, Brisket, Pork Belly, and New York Steak (1 per person). Each portion was a generous size and should be taken into account when managing your portions. The mood was very pleasant and everybody seemed to be enjoying their meals. The servers were also all very attentive.

The bulgogi was great. One thing I wasn't a fan of is the rice used for the sushi is Korean rice which is much more dense and has a strong flavor compared to the normal sushi rice. It was a fair price for the great meal. Service was friendly. Make sure to use the button to call for a server. Normal for Korean restaurants. The environment was okay, had Korean music and simple decor.

One can always easily find something on their menu that they can also find in Korea at a random location, and this establishment also gets the flavor right, along with the small plates that complement the meal. Whether it's the stone pot bibim-bap or just the bibim-bap, mixing rice with the given meat and vegetables, along with some gochujang, made it authentically delicious. The seafood pancake was more plain than the kimchi pancake, which was to be expected. It had the perfect amount of seafood to not make either the seafood or the pancakes overwhelming in terms of amount. The kimchi pancakes had the right kind of saltiness that was given by the kimchi. Once again, authentically delicious. The galbi tasted amazing, and I think I could taste a certain amount of butter based on the type of oiliness and saltiness that the meat had. I could remove the meat easily from the bones, and the meat was easy to chew as well. I think the black bean noodle was the only item that I was more critical about, because it was a bit watery and the sauce was plain. However, it wasn't bad at all and I still finished all of it. Just comparatively, it was less tasty, and I have had better in Korea or China. Around this area of Oak Street, if people want to look for good Korean food, there are a few very good options, and this establishment is definitely one of them. I would highly recommend it.
