I went in for the ayce appetizrs. They were incredibly busy, but the servers were all very nice and quick on the refills. There was ample space, and the great sporty decorations most of the chains have. The ayce food is where I kind of felt a little change would be good. I understand that it's mainly meant for multiple people, but each serving was like an entire appetizer for one person. I think smaller portions would allow people to try more variety. Sometimes I crave a buffalo ranch chicken wrap and I haven't been to a BWW in years! I happen to be at this location for a work event and split it with my friend. Normally it comes with chips and salsa and their chips are always really good. Unfortunately it came out with fries. Our server mixed it up and fixed it by bringing us chips. We also got a basket of tots. Nice and crispy. The wrap was exactly how I like it and I may have to get a job here to see how they make it. Seriously, this craving is REAL! This location is pretty hit or miss for me. I feel like whether it's busy or slower the service is almost always slow. I get the same thing almost every time- buffalo wrap w/ wedges, an extra side of hot sauce. Love the wedges here, sometimes I think about just ordering the wedges with a sauce. I love BDubs. I went there for the playoff Wolves game (awwoooo) with some friends, and it was a horrible experience. First, we waited forever to get our drinks, then the man brought us two lemon slices, for a group of four. We asked for more and he brought out just two more with his BARE HANDS. He did this again later in the night! Gross. When we got our food, we didn't have any silverware or napkins, which is problematic for boneless wings. We asked someone else because our waiter wasn't nearby, and she never got around to it. We finally asked our waiter and he brought us some, just as our food was getting cold. I also didn't get my fries for 54 minutes. That's right. I reminded the man four times and finally I got the fries. How do you mess that up? We also had to ask for water refills twice, the man never took initiative to give us some, which should be baseline for being a waiter. My mouth was burning hot on some hot dry rub and I had to go into the bathroom and drink sink water to cool down! I now get why I see customers go in the back and fill up their own drink. The service is definitely a highlight of our visit here. Our server was extremely nice and helpful, making sure we were taken care of the entire time. The food came out really fast, which added to the overall positive experience in regards to service. The wings, however, were a bit of a mixed bag. While they were more or less standard/decent wings, a few of them were a little cold and some were on the chewy side. Most of the wings were warm and impressively large, which was a plus. This location did not have draft beer of any kind or soda of any kind. (These items are some of the most profitable for restaurants) It also did not have a working oven of any kind. There was a time when this franchise wasn't a s***hole, wasn't an embarrassment for the staff working. According to the very apologetic staff, it had been 'a couple days' since the oven and carbonation had gone out. Floors have that slippery grease feel that usually you only find in the kitchen, and tables were not being cleaned between customers...even when asked. (Seriously, did not clean table when asked). This location is really gone downhill over the years. After their remodel, the restaurant seems even dirtier and the service has gotten terrible. I've tried to give it a chance three different times in the last year, and this last one was the last straw. My party of three sat and waited for over 15 minutes to get our order placed. We watched various servers just stand around chitchatting or just roaming around doing nothing. The restaurant wasn't even busy. This was at 4 PM. We finally were frustrated enough and left. This was our last visit to this location! In the past, when we have eaten here, our food has come out in shifts with a small party and most of the time is ice cold. I'm calling these guys out as mediocre - 2 stars. My first (and my last) visit to this location was a few days ago. I met someone that works nearby until 10:30 pm. So we got to the restaurant late. There were hardly any customers. SEATING: The service mostly sucked. I walked in and stood by the "please wait to be seated" sign for a long time. I was standing there so long, I actually started the timer on my phone. Despite numerous servers walking past me in & out of the dining room, my timer reached 13 minutes before I finally got angry, I walked in the bar, and I asked the bartender where to sit. Keep in mind, I had already been waiting when I got pissed enough to start my timer. WAIT TIMES: Why didn't the servers tell someone that a customer was waiting? Where was the person at the order pickup area (I saw her later). And where was the hostess...or whatever the title is. Again, I saw her come out of the kitchen later. By the way, once we were at a table, we watched other customers stand around up front and wait to be seated. I saw one decent sized party wait a long time and then walk out. The fiasco was actually somewhat entertaining as we were waiting for our wings. CRAZY PEOPLE: No sooner did we order than a mentally ill woman walked in (no one was in front to stop her), she locked her attention onto us at our high-top in the bar, she started rambling & babbling something at us, then she started to gesticulate and flail her arms, then she started yelling at us, then she started to give us the middle finger and flip the bird. We didn't say anything. We just watched the weirdo in astonishment. She finally walked back towards the entryway and the hostess lady finally appeared and said something and the trespasser left. What happened to this place? We came in for dinner on a weekday, only to experience the slowest service I've ever had. It took ages to even place our order, and then we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. How long does it really take to fry up some wings? So this is no a front of the house issue but the kitchen was also lacking. I only saw one food runner. He came and gave us the wrong orders. Tables that came after us were served food before us. The wings finally came. Smaller in size but very crispy with delicious sauce. The tater tots were also very crispy. Later that week, we placed a takeout order, only to find four people already waiting at the counter. After 20 minutes with no help, we had to go inside and ask a server for assistance with pickup. After getting ahold of someone, no courses to correct the wrongs except for a refund or immediate remake. No acknowledgement of the wait time, and handled from their end with no sympathy. He waited 20m while other people picked up their orders. This BWW location is so physically run down. Most of the booth cushions have huge rips in them and the tables are wobbly. Our service was okay! The fried pickles came out quick. I also ordered a hibiscus margarita, which didn't take too long to come out. It was really sweet and almost syrupy. It was also really weak on the alcohol and not worth the price. We all ordered boneless wings and we all ordered at the same time. However, all of them came out to our table at different times. It was like they made one entree, delivered it, then went back and made the other, and so on. There was a 10-15min gap between when the wings came out for each person. I used to love BWWs. I spent years visiting this location 3x per month. Something changed around 2018 and it's never been able to resurrect the same crowds or atmosphere it once had. Here's the list of common issues that have really plagued this location: 1. Not serving hot food - I send cold food back to the kitchen 50% of the time. One time sitting at the bar, they refried already cooked wings and the bartender walked back and had to yell at the kitchen staff - why wouldn't they just remake the wings??? 2. Greeters and folks at the front desk are on their phones when you walk in. Sometimes they ignore customers for several minutes before offering to seat them. 3. Pickup times are inaccurate. If you order food online and drive to pick it up, it's common to wait another 20 minutes in the lobby. This impacts delivery times as well as drivers often wait in the store for 20-30 minutes. **this was the case tonight and the reason for this review. 4. They get the order wrong. I ordered boneless wings and wedges tonight. The order was just delivered, and no potato wedges. **a double whammy all around. This place is ridiculous. read more
