I was in town on business and looked up restaurants close to my hotel. This one popped up and was about five minutes from me. It is located in a small strip plaza and you just walk in to be seated. They are extremely busy with people seated to eat and to-go orders. When I arrived, someone was cleaning tables, taking payment, and delivering food to tables. This was all being done by the same person. He directed me to a table, gave me a menu, and brought me a glass of water with a straw. He was moving about the restaurant taking orders, cashing people out, cleaning tables, and delivering food the entire time I was there. He came to get my order after about ten minutes. I ordered the Seoul sampler with the soy garlic sauce on the chicken. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. The chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was crunchy and flavorful. There was a lot of food too. I ended up taking some back to my hotel and eating it later. It was hard not going back to this restaurant during my stay, but I wanted to try different places. It took about fifteen minutes for my food to arrive at the table and bulgogi fries came out first on a separate plate. This sampler is a good representation of several of their menu items. I recommend getting it if you are new to this restaurant. I paid $46 after adding a tip.

Nothing was authentic Korean food in the restaurant. Bibimbap was served with chopped lettuce inside, and the scrambled eggs?! And not sure what kind of spicy sauce the store got mixed in, it tasted very black peppery. This dish is just too well- known, and you just can't miss it. Like the basically sauce would be gochujang. The fried chicken also very disappointing, ordered both Yangnyeom mix and chicken strips, the meat was tough, not fresh made, it's like reheated/refried, they also don't offer dipping sauce any real Korean fried chicken dipping sauce. Very disappointing.

    We enjoyed our time!

Empty plate says it all. Potstickers were phenomenal. The strips were amazing. So good. The sauce is good but not overpowering. The chicken is crispy and the seasoned fries were very good. Now I need to figure out how to get this food out of my system, if you know what I mean. BonChow!

Korean Street Corn, Strips (korean bbq flavor)

Everything here is really bland. The pickled radish, the chicken, the street corn. None of the dishes had the Korean flavors I'm used to. I've eaten bonchon three times and each time I've regretted coming here...maybe I keep ordering the same thing, that's why? I get the Korean bbq flavor...definitely not what I was craving. And it's so weird that they don't give you rice complimentary. Posting this as a reminder to not order the same thing again. The service has been good though and the food came out quickly and parking is easy. Hence the three stars

    Beef Bulgogo waste!

The food is as plain as can be, no flavor in the Beef Bulgogi, the chicken wings are over cooked, the chicken Karan is over cooked. Not sure why this place has customers, probably because the neighboring Korean place is packed!

I unfortunately didn't take a picture of my food as I did take out and then went straight to eating but WOWW! We've had people tell us about their fried chicken and finally gave it a try. I'm super bummed I didn't come to this place as soon as it opened in Roseville because I've been missing out . Parking was very easy as they have it right in front and to place a take out order it was pretty quick. I did half and half of sauces for chicken wings which were super flavorful and had a side of kimchi which was perfect to accompany the meal and a side of fried rice plain. Service was great and food was perfect. Next time I'll be dinning in for sure !

I went to the location in Roseville for the first time today (I usually go to the one in Maple Grove) and the food was nowhere near as good. Some items were fried for a little too, and there seemed to be no communication between the servers. What was most disappointing was that I ordered take out food to bring home to my boyfriend and the "chicken strips" i got were nuggets overcooked and dry. It's like I got the leftovers of the frying basket. I always order this item for my boyfriend so I know what to expect. Will be a loyal costumer to the Maple Grove store.

Been craving tteokbokki so we decided to try out this place. The vibe was very casual and the servers were super nice and quick with ours and others needs. The food didn't take too long to come out and came out steaming hot! My bf tried pork belly bao buns for the first time and loved how the combination of the fluffy bun went with the crispy pork belly. I absolutely loved my tteokbokki and it was nice and spicy to my liking (: We also shared the Bulgogi Fries and it was delicious but I think I'll ask for extra spicy mayo next time, but that's just my preference! You get pretty big portions for what you order and not too badly priced with the entire experience as well, definitely one of my comfort food go to from now on

Fried chicken is delicious!! The spicy was too hot for me but the chicken itself was amazing. Garlic is a great flavor ! I also ordered pork buns... they were perfect! This place hit the spot and I definitely would come back!

First time at bonchon did not disappoint! The food arrived super fast and everything was phenomenal. The wings were incredibly crispy and flavorful. The pickled radish and coleslaw were nice to have on the side to balance out the fries and chicken. I will definitely return!

The BEST place!! This is such a comfort food place. There is tons and seating and the service is incredibly quick. They had our food out in under 10 minutes. My favorite item is the steamed buns-the meat is so perfectly crispy and juice, and sweet and savory at the same time!! The ambiance is low lighting, so it's easy on the eyes! This Roseville location has a ton of parking, so that's so great to never have to worry about that when I'm visiting here!

Across the board is a perfect blend of classic and modern that makes for the perfect place to enjoy your evening. The space is gorgeous and combines original details with modern touches (we particularly admired the fun sconces). It's elegant and inviting. In addition to the beauty, plenty of soft surfaces keep it comfortable and keep it easy to hear your companions, even as the restaurant fills up. This restaurant makes me want to convert a room in my house into a lounge so that I can borrow the vibe and host chic gatherings. The service was absolutely great. Our server Kelsea, along with other staff members who stopped by, made for a wonderful experience. Kelsea was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. I really appreciated how communicative she was, especially about the vegetarian options. All the gold stars! The food was fantastic. In addition to a solid set of classic dishes (don't miss the japche!), Minari offers fusion-y goodness and modern twists on old favorites. For instance, a crushed cucumber banchan got its heat from horseradish. Our meal began with a welcome cup of roasted corn tea, which was quite lovely and whetted our appetite. We got the potato salad, japche, and tempura for our starters. It's hard to pick a favorite, it truly is. The japche was spot on: the flavors and textures were just what I remember from my time teaching in Seoul, and I liked that the noodles were extra-thick. The tempura was exceptional--the batter is light, the veggies tender, and the off-the-chart crunch memorable. The sesame sauce? Sublime. The potato salad was unique in a wonderful way: kewpie mayo (of course!) with miso, crunchy celery, chervil, and negi green onions. Don't miss that one, either. For my main, I got the Dan Dan madalfine: an extra-long noodle with a ruffle edge that came with sesame sauce, chili crisp, king oyster mushrooms, and baby bok choy. It was extra-delicious: I highly recommend it. The portions are quite generous, so you'll have tomorrow's dinner all ready. Dessert was another highlight. My friend ordered the Yam Roulade (I might possibly have applied a bit of peer pressure because I wanted to try it). It was very, very good: it will remind you a bit of a pumpkin spice cake, but it has a slightly firmer crumb and doesn't have the squash undertones that pumpkin desserts sometimes have. Poached pear, honeycomb, and vanilla gelato stacked on additional flavors and textures. It was really very delicious. You may be wondering why I didn't order it myself. Well, I was highly intrigued by what I did order: the dalgona miso caramel tart. (You had me at dalgona, but add miso and caramel? I could probably be lured into an unmarked van with that.) It was very delicious: balanced, unique, and rich (I had to tap out on the few bites, so I guess I have dessert handled as well). The tart itself was not too sweet, with saltiness and bitterness adding balance. The creamy whipped mascarpone helped cut the richness, and the sesame crisps added another layer of texture and flavor. The strawberry compote was absolutely joy-inducing. A final shout-out for the non-alcoholic beverage options: they were great! I got to try two of them, the chosun and the wangja. The former is a perfect summer drink: sweet-tart and refreshing, it has just a touch of heat from the gochijang honey. Think paloma's sister who went off to study art overseas and came back full of stories. The wangja was more on the bittersweet end of things and went very well as a meal-end digestif. All in all, very pleasing! Bonus points for the convenient parking lot right across the street !

One can always easily find something on their menu that they can also find in Korea at a random location, and this establishment also gets the flavor right, along with the small plates that complement the meal. Whether it's the stone pot bibim-bap or just the bibim-bap, mixing rice with the given meat and vegetables, along with some gochujang, made it authentically delicious. The seafood pancake was more plain than the kimchi pancake, which was to be expected. It had the perfect amount of seafood to not make either the seafood or the pancakes overwhelming in terms of amount. The kimchi pancakes had the right kind of saltiness that was given by the kimchi. Once again, authentically delicious. The galbi tasted amazing, and I think I could taste a certain amount of butter based on the type of oiliness and saltiness that the meat had. I could remove the meat easily from the bones, and the meat was easy to chew as well. I think the black bean noodle was the only item that I was more critical about, because it was a bit watery and the sauce was plain. However, it wasn't bad at all and I still finished all of it. Just comparatively, it was less tasty, and I have had better in Korea or China. Around this area of Oak Street, if people want to look for good Korean food, there are a few very good options, and this establishment is definitely one of them. I would highly recommend it.

King's Restaurant (Korean) in Fridley, MN is delicious! We ordered Naeng-Myeon buckwheat noodle…read moresoup, which is served cold and only available in the summer. The buckwheat noodles are very chewy and served with pickled white radish slices and julienned cucumbers, half of a hard boiled egg, and 2 thin slices of beef brisket. Note: the Korean buckwheat noodles in this soup are slight translucent and chewy, and not the same type as the Japanese buckwheat noodles, which are not as chewy. The noodle soup is accompanied by 2 bottles sauces: hot/spicy yellow mustard and vinegar to add per your desired spice and sour level. The soup was light, slightly seasoned with a hint of sour and savoriness. We also ordered the jap chae glass noodle stir-fry which was delicious, but it was lacking in beef and a bit too oily. It had a few slices of red bell pepper, yellow onions, and green onion /scallions. The glass noodles are made from sweet potatoes and are chewy in texture, but not as chewy as the buckwheat noodles. The galbitang short beef rib soup (#26) is a light soup served hot (not spicy) with a few pieces of beef short ribs, glass noodles, white radish, and egg drop. King's Restaurant has reduced their portion of glass noodles in recent years and it's lacking substance to fill the tummy, especially with an increased price of $21.95. They do give a small bowl of white rice and 4-5 types of banchan (side dishes, like Kimchi, blanched bean sprouts, fish cake, kimchi cucumbers, blanched broccoli). Service is on the most part friendly and semi-attentive, depending on the server and if they're busy. King's is recently (2026) charging for their buckwheat Korean tea, which was previous complimentary. Ambiance is casual with booths and tables. They can host larger parties, up to 8 or so people, but it's best to call ahead to check. Free parking is plentiful, but it can get filled on the side lot nearest to the restaurant when it's busy. There's another larger parking lot adjacent to the restaurant that is never completely filled so parking should not be an issue. Would I go again-maybe. Their increased prices and smaller portions (jap chae with almost no beef and noodle dishes with a small portion of glass noodles), it's starting to give me pause, especially when I have other choices of Korean restaurants in the Twin Cities. King's is by far the most expensive Korean restaurant in the Twin Cities and their portion sizes are shrinking to where the value is lacking, especially if you're really hungry.

The waiter seems a little judgemental when I requested that there would be no bell peppers in my Japchae. (Sorry, personal preference; don't like the taste or smell.) The tone felt a little judgy when he said, "just meat and noodles?" While I was eating, it wasn't checked on. (Maybe it is because I'm Asian?) Otherwise, it was good. I got to fulfill my Japchae needs with some banchan!
