    Dry bonchon chicken

Had to circle back for another review! The Towson Bonchon location is NO where near the same quality as the Hyattsville location! Towson chicken is crusty! The employee at Townson confirmed the locations are corporate owned. He also insisted I find a Pic of the Hyattsville chicken when I complained! So here you go guy! 1 pic of crusty chicken Remaining pics of pure deliciousness!!!

This location is hit or miss. It depends on who is cooking that day or something because sometimes your food is good and sometimes it's not. Thankfully my food was good this day

Dropped in for a low key dinner. Bon chon used to be my absolute favorite, but as many restaurants, the quality has gone down, and the prices have increased drastically. GLOWS: -Expansive menu with many different items. I can only vouch for the quality of the fried chicken. -On Mondays and Wednesdays, they have a $1 drumstick special which is a great deal price wise. -French fries were solid GROWS: -The Ellicott City location functions as a full restaurant, with bar and table service. This place has a take out counter with tables that you can dine if you'd like. I was caught off guard walking in to realize we wouldn't be served at the tables. -The wings were far too greasy. Everyone's stomach hurt after we left this place from eating overly greasy food that we couldn't even finish -The fried rice was undercooked. The veggies mixed in were hard and crunchy.

Bon Chon never disappoints. Very crispy and flavorful. Their spicy kind is my favorite.

Been a while since I was at this Towson Bonchon location...probably will not be back again anytime soon! Came to the Towson branch around 7:30 and ordered the large 8 wing 4 drum combo to go. Did not leave until about 8P. Waited longer than needed in that the clerk, Shaniyah, was too busy loudly talking on her cellphone, to attend to customers. So my food just sat on the counter. Waited for a little bit the. Eventually went up to the counter to try and get her attention but her back was turned. The back cook finally had to call out 3x to get her attention. The food had good flavor but the service just left a bad taste. Might be the reason place is empty.

We love bonchon chicken. We placed an online order for 20 piece wings (1/2 spicy and 1/2 soy garlic). The food was ready for pick-up on time. As usual, the chicken was crispy and flavorful. I usually alternate between eating the spicy and soy garlic wing to give my mouth time to recover from the burning spices. I prefer the wing over the leg pieces. They are more flavorful and the meat is not as dry. I took 1 star off for the pickled radish. Ours was not pickled. I recommend giving it a try if you love wings and never had Korean fry chicken.

The worst bonchon restaurant we ever been to. We ordered Togo chicken half and half, we had $10 off $30 so we just need to pay $20 for our order. I guess the reason that we got the tiny pickle radish dish is that we used the coupon they sent to our home. I never seen any bonchon restaurants gave out this tiny little side dish like this for the amount of wings we order! It not even enough for a person to enjoy the wings. And if we want the "regular side dish" , they will charge us extra $2 because we used coupon! It's ridiculous!

I visited Bonchon Towson on Saturday night with my husband since we had a special event through Yelp. I have never eaten at Bonchon before and was honestly a bit unaware of what they even offered. I checked their menu out before I arrived. Upon pulling up there was plenty of parking right out front. We entered the bright and clean restaurant to find several people waiting for food but there was no line to order. I had the mixed 4 piece (leg, strip, boneless, wing) with the soy garlic sauce. I chose French fries as my side. I also had the vanilla chocolate chip Mochi ice-cream. We ordered an appetizer vegetable potstickers and my husband had 6 wings (hot) with a side of coleslaw. We also purchased two bottled drinks. The gentleman at the counter who rang us up and took payment was super friendly and patient since we were new to their ordering process. Upon payment we were given a little card which told us what would be yelled out when our order was ready. Please note (the menu says it too) that your order could take up to 30 minutes to prep since everything is made fresh. They also guarantee your chicken to be crispy which it definitely was! The order was out way quicker than 30 min. I was rather impressed by everything I ate at Bonchon. The chicken was super flavorful and crispy. The French fries were crispy and delicious. I had never had Mochi ice cream before but it was so good and unique! Even the coleslaw wasn't bad! Although I may not be back to this location since it is a bit far from my house, I have another Bonchon close to home that I already plan on visiting super soon!

Soy garlic chicken, Mac & Kimcheese, vanilla chocolate chip mochi.

It's been awhile since I've been to a Bonchon, but with the Yelp event, I wasn't going to say no. Who doesn't enjoy some fried chicken here or there? I was a bit hesitant to go based off the low rating, but anything is worth a shot and I'm glad that I ended up going! Let me give a shout out to Jasmin who was really friendly and took care of everything right away. I had her pick my mochi (vanilla chocolate chip) which was great and exactly what I needed after the chicken. Thanks for that Jasmin! I decided to go with soy garlic and a side of Mac & Kimcheese. The chicken had the perfect amount of crisp to it. You can tell it was freshly made. The only downside to the drumstick that was given was that it was a little too greasy for my standards. All the other pieces were perfect. The Mac & Kimcheese tasted like it's been sitting for more than a day. I'll give it another go. It could use some more spices to really bring out the Kimchee flavor.

I was a little afraid to come here after seeing how low of a rating they have but I was pleasantly surprised when I came in for lunch today. I arrived around 12:45 in the afternoon and expected to see a lunch rush. It's located in a shopping center so there was plenty of parking. When I went in I noticed several hand sanitizer stations and they encourage but do not require customers to wear masks. The staff there all wore masks and changed out their gloves frequently. No line so I was able to get in and out quickly. I ordered the soy garlic wings with a side of fries and a strawberry Mochi as dessert. I had it to go because I had a lot to do this day but the dining area was clean and I wouldn't mind eating there in the future. The staff was friendly and more than willing to answer a few questions that I had. When my food was ready someone brought it out to where I was sitting and waiting at. My food smelled so good I could barely manage not to eat it before I got home. Once I did get home and start to eat it the wings were absolutely delicious. They were a little crispy on the outside converted in the soy garlic sauce. Had a bit of a kick but I love garlic. My fries had gotten a little bit cold but they still have a good flavor as well. I did not eat the Mochi because my daughter laid claim to it as soon as I walked in my house. Food was good and the service was great. I would definitely come back again.

    Hot and fresh bibimbap.

Food: If you dine in I really recommend the Bibimbap because it's really not comparable to takeout. The container and freshness absolutely makes it. We also got the spicy wings and the spicy level was decent for spice lovers! But my friend and I found it was a bit on the greasy side. (She disliked that less than me.) I have had takoyaki here before and really liked it before though. So on food I think it's pretty good. Service: My experience here has repeatedly been excellent. The person who took my order was always polite. This time we had a server who was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Ambiance: Relaxed. Good lighting. We weren't sure they had opened up dine in again after COVID but seems they had. There weren't many people around though (maybe people are still primarily just ordering out?) . The FIFA World Cup was playing on the TV screen but not in a super loud way. It'a not a very aesthetic or moody place, but it's comfortable. Good for a group of friends or families.

They had a really rough opening week. Orders were made, orders were canceled...but I can't hold that against them. They were PACKED full. I tried to go in after an order was canceled, and they said it'd be an hour wait. I get it. I did manage to get lunch on the first Saturday they were open (by ordering for noon right before they opened). The food was better than other Bonchons I've been to...most chain places are when they first open. We shall see how they fair from here on out. I went back at the beginning of June and the food was still good, and things had slowed down. It sees they really found their rhythm. I'll have to eat-in soon to see if the service is better than some other Bonchons (which are usually good, excluding the one that closed in Canton - go figure). The service from the minimal people I interact with when ordering online is good.

The middle piece had not been eaten at all but it looks like some ate off of it in the back!!

SLOW, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR QUALITY FOOD! I wanted to go back and get my refund for all this nasty food that I just bought so bad but it's raining outside and something's going on with my car. No point in calling because they'll only act like nothing was wrong with the food, yet you can see from my pictures, something is seriously wrong with the food. and is pissed off as I am right now, I would probably curse someone out (but Im trying to get into heaven). First of all, it looks like somebody literally bit directly into my chicken drum (see pic), AND the nasty chicken tasted like rubber! Secondly, the japchae did not taste like any Japchae I have ever had at a Bonchon. So this tells me that this particular location is terrible!! Not only is the food bad, but the customer service is even worse, and then the wait time to get the food is horrible!!!!!! When I went into order my food, there was one couple waiting, and one person sitting on the bench. Three other people came in after me. I waited 33 minutes before I got my food - after everyone else but everyone else still waited a good 20 minutes. I had to wait 33 minutes for a 5 piece drum, Japchae, and small fry. Every single time I go into this one there areissues with Customer Service and long wait times. I'm done!! But I'm actually gonna yell louder about the quality of the food because I'm willing to wait for food that's really good- even put up with a bad attitude- if the food is really good. Not here though. Run, don't walk!

I was greeted promptly, and the host tried to seat me even though I mentioned twice that I wanted to place a to go sushi order. I was given a menu, a pencil, and a sushi order form, but the form wasn't very self-explanatory. I tried to get the host's attention to ask a few questions about quantities and how certain items were prepared, but he seemed distracted by other activity in the restaurant. While waiting, about 10 minutes, I noticed the decor was bright, the sushi chefs were neat and clean, and the preparation area looked well maintained. In the end, I took a guess on my order (California roll and lump crab meat) , and once I got home, I realized I made a solid choice. The sushi tasted very fresh (although the crab didn't taste like lump - it was still tasty) which definitely stood out and made the experience better. I ordered enough for lunch that day and still had leftovers for the next. Will I go back? I'm not sure, but I might try again on a different day and dine in.

So, we arrived early on Saturday to meet friends for a 6:30 PM dinner time. This is a small restaurant with 8 tables total with seating for approximately 27. The restaurant is charming and cozy. We were lucky there was a table for 4 by the window. It was a rainy evening, and the restaurant was chilly. It is a BYOB with no corkage fee, which is very nice. Our friends arrived shortly after we did. They served us water right away, and we asked for wine glasses which they brought as well. Because I was cold, I ordered decaf hot tea. Their menu is quite extensive. My husband decided on the Grilled Salmon with the Terriyaki sauce. He was not thrilled - he did not feel the salmon was fresh. I had the Shrimp Stir Basil, which was decent size portion of stir-fried onions, bell peppers, fresh basil leaves, carrots, string beans, zucchini, and snow peas in a brown sauce served with white rice. I did ask for no spice on my dish. Our friend ordered the Wonton Soup, which looked nothing like the Wonton Soup she was used to - the dumplings were completely different looking - she did eat them, but she did not eat the broth as she did not like the flavor. I tasted it, and it was not good. She did enjoy the order of Spicy Tuna Roll she ordered - she did say it was very spicy. Her husband had the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura, which he said was very good. I have to say the service was just okay - they certainly did not make you feel very welcome to be there - we probably will never go back.

My favorite from the sampler was the tempura veggies and the spring rolls. The chicken pad Thai was delicious and coooked just right. There are about 8 tables in the dining room. It's a small family owned restaurant with accommodating and attentive customer service. The prices are right and definitely a nice spot for solo dining, family outting of even a date night.
