    Yangnyeom wings

So it's been a few months since I was last here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Placed my order for Large wings and my flavor was soy garlic and tried their new offering Yangnyeom! Delicious! Sweet and spicy! This time the wings were excellent and very flavorful! Every bite was just as good as the last. Love the crunch on the outside and savory juicy inside. Way better than the last time I was here. Oh I also ordered some regular fried rice. Chefs kiss. Perfect combo with the wings. Our order came out very quickly and the presentation was amazing. The store was clean and fresh, plenty of seats and again there's plenty of parking around but can get full quickly since it's a popular area. Again recommend ordering ahead of time if you're in a rush. If you like Korean fried chicken, perfect for bdays, fight nights or ball games etc. I highly recommend you stop by Bon chon. Already looking forward to my next visit. Now it's time to hit the gym lol.

A co-worker recommended this place for lunch weeks ago, and we finally made it. Soooo good. A small venue on Stuyvesant Ave in Union (one of the main streets). There is street parking, if you can find it, & back lot parking & you'll have to walk around the corner. It's a no frills place, with tables & chairs for dining in. Service was quick, food prep time was about what was expected. The food was very good. We had the Korean Fried Wings: Soy Garlic flavor, Bulgogi Fries, & Pork Buns. All were excellent, & this place will definitely be on the go-to list while at work. The only major downside is their drink selection is the absolute bare minimum. Your choices are Water, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Ginger Ale, & Sprite. The drink fridge looked sad, as it had more cold food items stored in it, than drinks. They can definitely step their game up on this, Big Time! Grades: Soy Garlic Wings: A Pork Buns: A Bulgogi Fries: A+

I just want everyone to be safe. I could have been severely hurt but I found a significantly sharp piece of metal in my creamy corn. i contacted the restaurant and they refunded the money but this plate was meant for my son which terrified me please keep our food safe .

Bull Dak - sooo small, not worth the price tbh

I love Bonchon generally, but this particular location not so much. First of all, when you walk in (we came on a Saturday evening), no one was sitting inside to eat. The place didn't look inviting at all, and people were solely there for takeout. It wasn't unclean and the staff was kind, but the tables are far apart and the place just looks uninviting and sterile. We purchased Medium-sized Wings (20 pcs) and omg the spicy one was sooo spicy. My fiancee and I can handle spicy but that was very, very spicy. We also purchased a Bull Dak, and let me tell you, it was SO SMALL. NOT worth $16. It was basically one cup of rice and one cup of spicy rice cakes, very not worth it. It was also very, very spicy. The total came out to ~$46, and we wished we had went elsewhere.

WE LOVE BONCHON! We usually only ever get the soy garlic chicken wings but this time I wanted to order some other dishes to try. First off, we love the chicken, always crispy but also smothered and covered with that yummy soy garlic sauce. This time we also got the seasoned fries which was yummy with the dipping sauce provided. I ordered the Japchae with bulgogi and I have never tried this dish before. Well I am in love with the. I love bulgogi always but these noodles were just so good. We also got tteokbokki. It's was cheesy and spicy. It was tasty but I could only have a few bites at a time. Everything was delicious and we will continue ordering from them.

Bonchon has a special place in my heart as the introduction to the world of Korean fried chicken. Like many chains in Jersey, I used to look at this store as a novelty until it gained popularity and locations popped up everywhere. Similarly, Korean fried chicken (thankfully) became prevalent and other chains appeared nearby. I've been to this particular location of Bonchon throughout the years and have always had a good experience! The staff are always friendly and willing to help. The shop itself is super clean and has some eye catching art. I was particularly fascinated by the picture outlining what year Bonchon appeared in a new country. After trying various Korean fried chicken in New Jersey and New York, I still love Bonchon even though it's not my go to place. I would like more crispness in the chicken skin to balance the sauciness of the soy garlic. However, I think the chicken is affordable and cheaper than some other chains. The wings were also a decent size with plenty of meat on the bone. I usually only get chicken, but I recently got the seasoned zucchini fries, which were perfection! My only grievance was that there wasn't enough sauce for the entire basket of fries. I'm thankful that the Union Bonchon has stayed consistent in quality throughout the years, and has satisfied my craving for Korean fried chicken in the area!

    Spy garlic chicken tenders

Got 20 piece soy garlic Chicken, chicken was hard , might break your teeth hard, was not edible. The chicken tender is very small, as in a pinky finger small.Workers was nice but this defiantly was not worth the money.save your money and go somewhere else.

I placed an online order, and my scheduled pick-up time was 30 minutes ago. I'm not sure when my order will be ready. It seems that the staff is having difficulty meeting the time targets and communicating effectively with customers about revised expectations after missing the initial pick-up time. I walked to an adjoining store and purchased fresh donuts. I received them in 15 minutes, but my Bonchon order still isn't ready. I was told it would be ready in 10. I'm watching the clerk play on their phone and casually tell me my order isn't ready yet. We are now a full 47 minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready. If you want bonchon...this spot probably isn't the place you want to come to.

Food was what is expected of a Bonchon. The interior of the restaurant is setup for carry out orders. The ambiance seems pretty dead here with very few patrons staying in here to eat. My fiancé and i ordered the Buldak chicken and the fried chicken. We've had bonchon in nyc at the ktown location and the chelsea location but it's truly not the same.

The growing popularity of Korean fried chicken reflects a greater familiarity with Korean culture…read more Celebrated for its crispy exterior and tender interior, Korean fried chicken has been a staple late-night snack in South Korea since the late 1970s and early '80s. It's typically known as "drinking food," or anju, though Koreans also enjoy the crispy pieces of meat with non-alcoholic drinks. The dish is most often made with bone-in chicken thighs or wings that have been coated in a cornstarch mixture. Traditionally, the chicken is fried twice to take it to the next level of crunchiness. Located on a busy Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, I decided on bb.q Chicken for lunch. The acronym "bb.q" in their name stands for "Best of the Best Quality," focusing on high-quality ingredients. Upon arrival as a first-timer at this modern, well-lit, clean establishment with Korean music playing throughout, I was greeted by the staff. Their menu features fried chicken, rice bowls, and Ddeok-Bokki. I decided on the Honey Garlic Wings brushed in a savory sauce with a mild tang of garlic and Chicken Fried Rice with vegetables in a classic kimchi base. The wings were prepared fresh (~20 mins prep time). The taste was deliciously amazing and addicting with a perfect balance of crispy and juicy with the right amount of spices. The complimentary pickled radish that came with the meal had a good balance. All was prepared for takeout even if one was dining there. Portions were healthy, and the price was comparable to the area. The staff is attentive and polite. Thank you for reminding me what real good fried chicken looks and tastes like.

I had the bone-in wings and they were delicious but not impressive. I was a little disappointed in the Citrus Mojo and Knicks Lemon Garlic flavors. The lemon pepper and hot honey are usually my preferences. I'll stick to those in the future! On day of, Food never arrived, I called the store several times this yielded zero results, just empty promises: "we are making it now" "it's on the way" To add insult to injury when after 4 hours of not receiving food, I called to cancel-was put on indefinite hold no one came back on the line. I finally hung up, waited several minutes and called back. Spoke with a "manager" (he sounded exactly like the guy who put me on indefinite hold) who said "we will cancel the order and refund your money it will take 24-48 hours" well, guess what? Almost a week in and they didn't refund anything the "pending" charge was actually processed. I had to get my credit card company involved. Extremely poor customer service. No one showed any remorse, no one ever apologized. Based on this I will never return to this location. The place was busy, and then they also have screens where people can watch sports, and other events. They had a very decent menu, that leaned toward "pub grub." The meal started, with chicken strips coated, in Ritz crackers. They were delicious. You could definitely taste the Ritz crackers, and the sweetness of the crackers played very well against the chicken. I don't remember what was in the dipping sauce, but it was amazing They actually reminded me of the old "planet Hollywood" restaurants They had a Dish, along the same line, called "chicken crunch". Chicken, coated in Cap'n crunch cereal. As weird as it sounds, I loved it, and I'm not the only one. It was one of their most popular appetizers, if not the most popular. The main course, the short rib tacos were fantastic. The short rib was literally melt in your mouth tender. It also came with a pink sauce, that was both savory and tangy at the same time. It had a little bit of a kick to it. I may be wrong, but to me, it tasted like there was a little bit of horseradish in it. For the quality of the food, the price was reasonable. I would gladly come back. Thanks!

Sometime in the last 2 years, possibly more, they changed it to marguerita pizza. I got it about a year ago, but first they gave me the wrong pizza. When they replaced it with the right pizza, it came out cold and undercooked. My boyfriend has tried many dishes on the menu, none of which he liked. The pretzel burger has always been the one thing we could never go wrong with. I would only get that everytime I've been in the last year. Today, my pretzel burger was undercooked and they switched to Kraft Squares (or something similar) for the cheese. It was gross. The only time we have good service is when this one small older woman is our server, unfortunately don't know her name. Everyone else who works there is usually apathetic and inattentive.

Johnny Napkins is a chain of pizza shops (they recently opened a location in Cranford) and it definitely has a sense of humor about itself. When you walk in the walls are painted with various characters including their mascot "Johnny Napkins". It really adds a fun feel to the space. They have plenty of seating including large tables with about 6-8 tall seats around them and a bar where individuals can sit and eat. Shakers with garlic salt, pepper and more are spread throughout the eatery so you can spice up your slices. The main counter has a glass case with a bunch of square and round pies on display. I wound up getting a slice with mushrooms and a BBQ chicken slice. Service was super friendly and efficient. These folks were *busy* with a constant stream of walk-ins and phone calls at the same time. I was very impressed. My slices came quickly and I sat at the counter to enjoy my food. The slice with mushrooms was excellent. Nicely heated up, a good crust and just the right amount of cheese. It was not too salty and had plenty of flavor. The BBQ chicken slice however featured a thicker crust (even though it was a slice from a round pie). I prefer a thinner crust but this was still good with a nice chew. The only reservation I had were the chunks of chicken themselves. They were a *tad* dry but this was the last slice on the platter, so I imagine it had been there for a minute (and I knew this, so this one's on me). I'm really glad I stopped into Johnny Napkins. Now I know it's a good slice and will definitely visit any of their locations in the future.
