Visited because of the hype, but man I prob should've just went to a smaller non-chain spot. Pho...I had better in SoCal. Noodles and broth were both a letdown in my opinion. Fried pork chop...small portion and overcooked. Fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls...tasteless and peanut sauce was really watery. This place was not good for the dishes we had. Won't return.
We were lucky. Sometimes the wait is long. Today, although there were 6 people ahead of us on the waitlist, we were seated within 10 minutes. Service is always good. I've never had a bad experience. My favorite dishes are pho and the birds nest. My husband ordered pho with filet mignon and beef round. I ordered the birds nest with soft noodles. The pho was great as usual. The broth is so good. Even though it's hotter than hades outside, hot pho, hit the spot! I rated today 4 stars instead of 5 because the meat on the birds nest tasted different. It was like meat that has been in the fridge longer than a day or meat that had a little freezer burn. That was the chicken. The beef slices had a funny texture. It was almost like a coating of some sort. None of this prevented me from eating it. The sauce (gravy) was great. If I wasn't full, I would have finished all the noodles.
Delicious Vietnamese restaurant serving a large variety of items at a reasonable price. The vermicelli boat is definitely a more Instagram worthy presentation of food with delicious flavor as well. Their pho broth has a very rich and umami flavor. Definitely will be back to try some of their other items! Super attentive and friendly waiters that even offered to put my flowers in the fridge to keep them fresh in the heat.
We were shopping at Ontario Mills and came across this popular Vietnamese restaurant, so we decided to give a try. As we walked into the restaurant, you could smell the aroma of pho spices and see how crowded the restaurant was. People from all walks of life were eating here. The service was good since the waiters were attentive to our needs. We ordered a beef pho with bo vien (meatballs) and brisket, bo ne (steak and eggs), and shrimp egg rolls. The pho had a delicious flavor and there was enough meat in the broth. The broth was savory and it had a strong flavor of pho spices, which I like. The bo ne had good flavor as well. I enjoy dipping the bread into the sauce and soaking it all up. The steak was tender, the sunny side up egg was delicious, but I felt the pate was a little gamey. I've been to Nep Cafe, and the pate was delicious. Th egg rolls were crispy on the outside and tender inside. Wrap it around with the lettuce and dip it into the fish sauce, yum! Overall, food was pretty authentic and delicious! I would come back to try other dishes on the menu. Good job Bone and Broth!
I've been to this pho restaurant three times, and I've always felt it was one of the better quality pho restaurants in the SoCal/IE area. I was craving something after watching The Odyssey and this place was right down the street. Convenient for me! There was no wait when I arrive, and it generally didn't seem too busy while I was there. The restaurant is clean, and the employees seem to get along well with each other, joking and chatting in their down time. It has a chill vibe. I don't think I got much, in the way of service, but that's fine since I didn't really need anything. Napkins and sauces are on the table, and I was given a water refill once. The food itself, on this visit, was decent, but I think I've had better Com Bo Luc Lac (Filet Mignon & Rice) at some other pho places. Some of the meat chunks were stringy and had like tendon bits inside. I'm a big fan of tender pieces, but I'd say that maybe 10-15% of the meat in here wasn't the tender bites of filet mignon I expected. The flavor was solid, and I enjoyed that it felt like a balanced place. The large bowl of soup on the side was a huge plus for me. I usually get way less side soup at other places for the same dish. Overall, this specific experience was good. I think that the pho here is great, as I had pho the other two times I've been here and I think it's great. I'd strongly recommend the pho options, if it's your first time eating here.
Delicious! Simply delicious! Best beef bone broth I've had in a long time. Best chicken bone broth my friends had in a long time too. We also ordered the salt & pepper prawns appetizer. Cooked perfectly. Really good portions for the price. I was definitely FULL after eating my entire bowl of the Ontario Combination Pho. My friend couldn't finish her chicken pho. Food came out quickly. Server was very friendly and attentive. Water glasses were never empty. Wait time was 15-18 minutes via the Yelp waitlist, but we were seated within 5 minutes, so that was great. Because I was starving after a long day of traveling home. It was a little noisy in the restaurant but wasn't too loud, we could still talk and hear each other without yelling. Definitely would come back again!
Great spot for comforting food and drinks! Everything we ordered was fantastic. The bone broth was deeply flavorful and comforting, and the pho with meat and tendon hit the spot--rich, hearty, and cooked just right. We also got the crispy chicken, and it was amazing: super crispy on the outside, perfectly sweet, and delicious. To top it all off, the avocado shake was wonderfully smooth and creamy. Simple, satisfying, and definitely worth coming back for! Five stars.
Came here on a Monday night with a party of 8. They don't take reservations via Yelp for parties 7 or more so I had to call in. When I got there they told me 20-30 minute wait. Luckily, we only waited 10 minutes. We got seated and ordered within a few minutes. After that service was kind of slow. Food comes out at different times. But at least the food is still hot when it comes out. My family always order the ""bone and broth" which they enjoy. I like the crispy tofu. This time is was nice and crunchy and had that garlicky taste I like. We did stay past closing time, but they were kind enough and let us finish our meal and our chit chat without rushing us.
I've been here twice and both times ordered the pho. This time I got the small 2 protein pho and it was my first time trying the meatball, which was delicious. The small size is perfect whereas the large I had last time was too big for one sitting. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee both times, and let me tell you, it's the best I've had. I've gone to a good number of Vietnamese establishments and the ratio of sweetness, ice, and coffee is spot on here. Speaking of visiting many Vietnamese spots, Bone and Broth didn't bring out as many pho accompaniments compared to other places. I feel like they skimp a bit on the basil, lime, etc., but I guess we could always ask for more. We also had to ask for sauces, something that seems to be pretty standard at other places. Overall, the pho and coffee hits. Worth checking out!
My favorite pho restaurant is Pho 555 in Denver CO. Because? They fuse Umami + Fatty Oils from Beef and doesn't matter whether is tripe, or rare steak, or brisket, or equally separated vermicelli noodles with every bite, you taste an alamgamation that is truly unique in the world of Pho and this restaurant Bone & Broth REMINDS me of eating that Bowl of Pho 555 in Denver Colorado in the midst of Winter: Wholesome, Fulfilled, Packed with Umami in the broth, and I guess everything they say is true..this is the best Pho in Ontario CA...probably in the entire San Bernardino County! And I do not challenge this statement! Ambiance: Packed full house dinner service on a Wednesday night. Service: Speed + Attentiveness Food: Deserves a place in the Best Pho Restaurants of the lower 48 states.
The good: I got bun combo (vermicelli bowl), rice combo plate (had pork, beef, shrimp) and beef pho. I was psyched that my toddler ate the meat and rice because he rarely eats meat! The meat had fragrant grill flavor. The pho broth was sweet. They had a lot of drink options as well as menu entree options. The interior was nice with a lot of booth-style seats. I really liked the cool presentation of the boat for the bun dish. The host was really friendly and accommodating. I think pho was the standout dish. I liked the shreds of carrot in the fish sauce. The bad: They forgot to give the nuoc mam (fish sauce) for the rice plate. The rice in the rice plate wasn't broken rice. The fish sauce was on the vinegary side and I wish it had a deeper fish sauce flavor. The honeydew smoothie was on the sweet side. The pho broth could've been a bit saltier. The interesting: They brought the bill to our table. Usually at Vietnamese places you pay at the counter (which I think is an option too). The combo rice plate was served in two different plates which was something I've never seen before.

Huge bowls of pho! My boyfriend picked me up from an early flight at Ontario Airport, and Bone & Broth was open right at 10 AM luckily. We ordered two bowls of the Pho Dac Biet & Ontario Combination Appetizer plate. Everything was out pretty speedy to the table! The soup hit just right for a morning meal. The portions here are VERY GENEROUS. It had plenty of tasty meat and lots of noodles (cooked a bit al-dente for my taste, but it's different for everyone). I think my boyfriend and I could've honestly shared one bowl and be satisfied. It was not a bad price either for a huge bowl. I might be biased since I love huge portions for an affordable price, but I thought it was a delicious bowl. The appetizers were solid, I would've liked a bit more portion as the egg rolls and shrimp rolls were a skinny. If I lived closer I would probably frequent this place a lot more, but this will probably be the place I go to when I fly out of ONT. Way better than other spots that I've tried in the IE so far.

This is right next to the Ontario Mills mall and a great location for getting some grab after a long day of shopping. I went to this place with lower expectations since it's by the mall but it was actually pretty good! The pho is pretty good and comparable to places I've had in OC. Been on my list forever and my aunt actually wanted to eat here to celebrate her birthday. So happy she chose this place even though she actually doesn't live anywhere close to Ontario. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the appetizers to the entrees and even the drinks. It was a big size restaurant and it was busy too which was a very good sign. Our waiter was the nicest and very sincere. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

The ambiance is very chill and casual. The service was ok, we had to ask a couple times for the same item because the waiters would forget. The spring roll was a little bland and I didn't care for their peanut sauce they serve but that's preference. The fried egg rolls were good. The grilled chicken pho was good but they were skimpy with the toppings. Like 3 slices of jalapeños for two bowls of pho. I would still come back and try it again. read more

This place is very popular and for a reason. It's really good pho and popular dishes. I love how fresh the food is and the service is very good. We came during the lunch rush and they were pretty fast considering how busy it was. I really enjoyed my meal and parking is not to difficult. The ambiance is casual but still nice. It's a hot spot in the area during lunch so also plan accordingly. It's definitely worth your stop and if your by the Mills shopping this is worth the short walk. read more

The portions were huge for the price but the broth, as opposed to the name of the restaurant, was standardized pho broth. Bone & Broth is a Vietnamese restaurant located in Rancho Cucamonga across the street from the Ontario Mills shopping mall. They have ample parking in the plaza and you can join their waitlist from Yelp. I ordered the bone and broth ($11.95) which came with a giant beef rib bone. I was intrigued by other tables who ordered it also because it was the restaurant's namesake. However it didn't come with noodles so I ordered extra noodles on the side ($3). The meat wasn't fall-off-the-bone so I had to use a knife and fork to cut it off. A lot of the meat was not submerged in the broth so it was a bit dry until I dipped it into the broth which helped. There was a good amount of tendon and not as much meat as I would've liked. I was trying to be super careful not to accidentally splash the broth on the people next to me by trying to cut the meat off the bone slowly. It was cool to get once but that eventually wore off. It wasn't worth the effort to eat with not much meat in the end. I'd just stick with the normal bowls of pho next time. read more

This place wasn't bad, came here with a group of 7. The wait time was about an hour maybe a little longer. I ordered the filet mignon pho, shrimp and pork spring rolls and a water with lime. They gave us a bowl of cut up limes, which was nice, since some of the others also wanted cut up limes. The pho wasn't bad, what I didn't enjoy was the spring rolls. The shrimp had no flavor and the pork was paper thin. I just wasn't a fan of their taste, something was off. Everything else was great! Not a bad place read more
Driven past this place many times from coming to Ontario Mills. We finally decided to stop in on a chilly night after shopping. We were quickly seated - hooray! The menu had a good selection of dishes and appetizers. I zoned in on their specialty of bone and broth soup. Wow! It was a quarter of a brontosaurus in a teeny tiny bowl. I really like the pure bone broth and the meat fresh off the bone! The customer service is an A+ here. I was struggling to find beef from the bone. Without asking, I was given another bone with a bit more beef :) I did have 2 bones and a third arrived. I must have looked really sad not getting any meat to go with my broth. The filet mignon with peppers was tasty and the chicken wings were just as good with all that garlic and ginger. Chicken wings are not coated and deep fried. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend. Restaurant is clean and parking is ample. read more

Great service. Clean and prompt staff. From sitting to ordering and food delivered, it was less than 10 minutes! My partner got their special combination large pho bowl with rice noodles. Delicious broth and plenty of protein. Also ordered their matcha jasmine iced tea. Hits the spot for something cool, sweet and refreshing. Really glad to see them thriving and survive opening during early days of the pandemic. Would definitely come again when we are back in Ontario area. read more

The food is absolutely consistently excellent! We put ourselves on the waiting list prior to arrival which was quite convenient as well. The food was so delicious, I went back the next day and ordered a to go order of the same dish. The only issue that I had was, the order I placed to go had significantly less food than my dine in order. I did talk to a manager about getting the same amount of food for my take out order and they did add a little more food on the second round. I think the reason it frustrated me is because when I placed the order, I asked them if the portions were the same as their dine in portions and she said yes. The portions were definitely not the same, yet the prices were the same. Aside from not being consistent with to go orders, the food and their service is always excellent. read more
This place is always busy , BUT I can see why ! I have had the pleasure of eating here before and they never fail to satisfy. The flavors are endless , even the VEGGIE BROTH has a unique taste that can't be replicated anywhere else. The fried tofu in my pho makes it sensational. I've also tried their Boba and their veggie egg rolls . Yumm ! They have beef flavored broths too as another option. 10/10 food They are honest with the wait time on the phone when you call and place an order for pick up . They have clean eating stations -Tony was a super host on waiting my table and helping place my soup away into the containers ! Loved that . read more
Came here for a late lunch and was quite surprised to see that even at an off time there was still a decently long wait for a table for 5 (~20-30min). I had the grilled chicken, shrimp, egg roll, and vermicelli and thought that the portion size and food quality was fantastic, and appreciated the large serving of veggies that came with the dish. The first thing that hits you is the delicious smell of pho while you're being greeted by a friendly staff member The dining area is clean and modern but my favorite thing was the early 2000's music that they were playing. I ordered the vegan pho with a baguette on the side to dip, of course. The broth was fragrant and delicious. They've got the veggies dialed. Not too many, not too little and they didn't go overboard by putting a bunch of fancy mushrooms and exotic vegetables in the mix They're highly rated for a reason and this place has my stamp of approval. read more

The food was not authentic and did not meet our expectations. We ordered four dishes, but only three came out at first. Even after repeatedly asking, the fourth dish didn't arrive until we were almost finished eating. In the end, we had to take the last dish to go because it came so late. The food here might seem decent to people who aren't familiar with authentic Vietnamese cuisine, and it's lucky the restaurant is located in Ontario where there aren't many Vietnamese customers. If this restaurant were in Orange County, it wouldn't be able to compete. read more

If you want good pho, come here. I grew up in the SGV and have had my fair share of Pho. When I moved out east, I feared I wouldn't be able to get my pho fix. Look no further, this place is it. Cheap prices and authentic flavors. Pho 5/5 -has a clean well seasoned flavor that isn't too sweet or overpowered with star anise. The portions on the smaller size, but that's fine. Bun 3/5 - They serve the bun in a weird boat vessel. Maybe it adds to the presentation, but it's a little ridiculous trying to mix everything together. Nothing special, you should avoid unless you want to try something different. Egg Rolls 5/5 - They are usually fried to order which leads to a crispy exterior and hot filling. They are not your 80% cabbage Chinese eggrolls, but your traditional Vietnamese egg rolls. Full of pork, mushrooms, noodles, and thinly shredded carrots. read more

Stopped by on Saturday, 02/22/25 for the first time. There was a waitlist so we waited about 15-20 minutes. This place was super busy during lunch time. Ordered the following: - 1 #10 Combination Pho = $14.95 - 1 #14 Seafood Pho = $13.95 - 1 #16 Grilled Meat Pho with Grilled Beef = $13.95 - 1 #1 Ontario Appetizer Plate = $15.95 SUBTOTAL = $58.80 TAX = $5.15 TIP = $10 OVERALL TOTAL = $73.95 Food was great however we were still hungry after eating our pho, hence we ordered an appetizer after to fill us up. read more

Ordered the Vermicelli Boat Special (#44) today and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The vermicelli noodles were unfortunately quite broken into short pieces, which made it hard to enjoy properly. The grilled beef had good flavor, the veggies were fresh and generous, and the egg roll was still as delicious as always. The bean curd shrimp patty, though, has gotten noticeably smaller compared to before. The shrimp itself is still bouncy and well-cooked, but the portion feels reduced. They also gave very little fish sauce, so there wasn't enough to mix everything evenly. Even though prices have gone up, their beef pho is still the star--rich broth, not oily, and always satisfying. The only issue is the price climbing up to around $19, which is getting pretty steep. There was also one to-go order where the noodles and the meat were almost cold, nearly icy. I had to reheat the broth at home and cook everything again just to bring it to normal temperature, which was a hassle. Consistent flavors, but the quality and portion size have definitely changed. read more

I brought my niece here for a pho treat. It was good and the service was timely and friendly. The broth was tasty and they fave you plenty of meat. I got the brisket pho and we also ordered egg rolls. The egg rolls were just ok, a tad greasy and could have used more flavor. The music was BLASTING, all the early 2000's era music and my niece and I were reminiscing because she's 19 and these are the songs she grew up on. The restroom was clean and we had a nice experience here over all. I would say prices seem on the high side though but I know things have gone up across the board at all restaurants so I guess it's the norm now. Would go back if in the area of Ontario mills. read more

Excellent service. They greet you, seat you, and have water on the table almost simultaneously. The service was on-point! Ambiance is hipster-like. They've got pop music going and a gray/ white color scheme going on inside the restaurant. Love it!! So cute. I got the vegetarian vermicelli boat!!!! It came with tofu and was delicious. I added broccoli to it and a fried egg. So good!! It was a ton of food. Very fresh veggies! 10/10 The fried tofu was fire! It was perfectly fried and the dipping sauce just made this appetizer! 10/10 My husband got the pho and enjoyed it. He also liked the fried tofu. 10/10 The food is reasonably priced, and service is impeccable. Can't go wrong with that! :) read more

Returned to dine here again and had another great experience!! Parking is everywhere and I was thankful to find a spot right in front (I came at 5pm on a Saturday)! It wasn't crowded when I first arrived, but around 6, a line started forming outside. The host/server was really nice and seated me by the window only to offer me a better seat with no sun shining in my face. My friend and I really enjoyed the food and the presentation! I ordered vermicelli with chicken and it came in a cute boat plate with a pretty decorative umbrella! The booth seats are comfy and perfect because my friend and I stayed awhile to catch up. The bathrooms are semi-clean and have paper towels (I prefer that over hand blow dryers). Love all the food here and will come back! read more
Highly recommend getting on the waitlist asap. They tend to get busy real quick and wait times can take up to 20 minutes at times. Pho dac biet is my usual. It's good. Comes with everything. Except for tendons. But that's what the huge bone and broth is for. Bowl of pho and the bone and both is like $25. Pretty good deal. Will definitely be back to try more things. read more
Wow, this place is wonderful. I was in the area for work and decided to try it out. As soon as I walked in I was instantly greeted and seated as it was just me for dinner. My waiter brought water right away, provided the menu and asked if I had any questions. I've never been here before so ask for his recommendation and he suggested the combination Pho. The pho came with beef round, tendon, beef meatball, and tripe. I'm not a tripe fan so I substituted that out with more beef round which he was happy to do. The bowl took a little time to prepare as the restaurant was busy. But when it arrived it was worth it. The bowl was much larger than I was anticipating and everything was fresh. You must try the broth before you add all your additions because it was rich and delicious. I added the usual suspects, chili oil, sriracha, and Hoisin and it was perfect. What I really appreciated was the opportunity just to enjoy my meal. No one made me feel like I was taking up a table when they were busy, they were very attentive and kind. The resturant was beautiful but the service made it great. read more
