The food was decent, especially the bang bang shrimp appetizer. This appetizer is always a winner The Ahi tuna was cooked to perfection and served with jasmine rice and a brussels sprouts slaw. Very tasty. The pineapple grilled shrimp with coconut risotto was decent, but the shrimp were not cooked properly. They were a bit rubbery. I had the same dish at the location in Schaumburg and it was much better. However, the Algonquin location served a much more generous portion of the coconut risotto. I would not order this dish at Algonquin again, but I would order it at the Schaumburg location. Overcooking the shrimp was disappointing. Nice place! Food was good even though it was not as hot as I would have liked it. Very attentive servers and bus staff. I got the grilled Mahi Mahi and shrimp. It was very nice and flavorful. We came by for brunch this weekend after finishing up a few projects in the area around 1pm. When we walked in we were immediately seated. I've been to a few Bonefish restaurants before and have loved it, in fact I was excited to visit because I love their bang bang shrimp eggs Benedict for brunch. However this experience was much different than others. Out service was a bit slow, and our food took some time to come out. And when it did, it was cold and rather dry. Our drinks were delicious, I love how they have a great selection of spirit free menu items. The bang bang shrimp on the Benedict were just fried and not tossed in their bang bang shrimp sauce, and actually was super dry and hard. The poach egg was poached well, but it was super tiny and almost nonexistent. I had to has for more hollandaise sauce because there wasn't much on the Benedict. Overall we had a decent experience, it just wasn't what we usually get at a Bonefish location. We'll definitely consider coming back when in the area. read more

Table setting is simple, classic, lights are dim. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. From the appetizers, to the daily specials, to menu classics, everything I order always comes out perfect. Seafood is super fresh, most proteins are woodfire grilled and flavorfull. We had a great experience here. My wife and I had never been here before.We do travel the south and know fresh seafood. The appetizers, bang bang shrimp and ceviche were made fresh tasted perfect. The wait staff was very prompt with our drink refills and curious. The server recommended the specials on the list. She was right on. I had the red snapper and my wife had the butter fish. We went to this bonefish Grill a few times In Algonquin but last night was absolutely terrible food. I had the chicken Marcella. It was very dry chicken. I asked them to put a little bit more Marcella sauce on it. It came back drenched in Marcella sauce wasn't very good at all, my girlfriend Had some fish salmon and that was very small portions. Very expensive $35 and wasn't all that great but on the best side our waitress, Audrey, was outstanding, friendly, accommodating, and very professional. The owner or manager was also very friendly and professional came to our table said hello before we went to the table , we were at the bar first and he also said hello , but I don't remember his name. The food is good but the curbside service is horrible. This is my 3rd or 4th time at this location and I do curbside pickup and the text says to tell you the parking space you are in so that your food can be brought to you and nobody brings it out. Everytime after 10 minutes I have to walk in and grab my food and it's cold because it's been sitting there and the hosts are just standing there not bringing it out. I hate complaining but it's extremely frustrating. I don't think curbside should be an option if the restaurant doesn't use it. read more

My husband and I enjoyed having meals at Bonefish Grill in Schaumburg for several years. Since we moved to the area, we decided to come and enjoy the half off Bang Bang shrimp Wednesday. The place was quite empty, so we were seated quickly. It was well lighted. We regret the decision. We ordered from their lunch special: Grill Chicken and my husband got the hamburger. First, the corn chowder was filling but I find it on the spicy side. My side of Brussels sprouts were spicy, charred yet undercooked (parts were too hard) . Bonefish is always a hit for a chain restaurant. They typically offer a decent selection of seafood at an affordable price. The last visit we had here we waited over 10 minutes for a server to greet our table. I'm pretty sure we made reservations too. We had a party of 5 and it was quite the wait. Everyone was commenting on how long it took. We almost went to hostess but a server came out and apologized for the wait due to a meeting in the kitchen with staff. The food was good. Had lunch at this Bonefish while visiting family. Just as good as the ones I've visited in other states. My favorite location is in Florida only because they always have Grouper and Snapper on their menu. Big advantage being on the Gulf side. Pot stickers, seared ahi tuna, bang bang shrimp, Cesar's salad, grilled salmon, fish and chips were all delicious. Our server Caitlan was excellent on all levels of restaurant service. Mashed potatoes were at least one day old, brown and just warm. Last night we arrived at Bonefish about 6:30 pm and sat at the bar. Dominick and Zachary were the bar tenders and 2 hours later we were stuffed. Our food choices were limited to multiple orders of "small plates " specifically chargrilled oysters and tempura crunch (tuna) sashimi - multiple orders of each and then we finished it off with cherry covered cheese cake. The chargrilled oysters were grilled in garlic lemon butter topped with Parmesan cheese and served with pesto crostini- talk about perfection! The sashimi came with a delicate sauce that enhanced the tenderness of the tuna. I took my husband for his birthday after having a wonderful experience in July. Our waiter was new, we know because we asked him since we received our appetizer before we received anything else, like a drink. Our wine was sitting at the bar, no water or bread was brought even after the waiter told us he would bring them. We were fine with that since we both understand that it is a learning process. The really bad part was that my mahi-mahi was totally raw. I received a new one that was cooked and expected that a manger would come over and apologize. Most recently, I visited Bonefish in Algonquin, IL. For my $140 bill, the food preparers are line cooks, not chefs. Portion sizes small compared to comparably priced restaurants; but every item on the plate improperly prepared. Filet overdone, risotto so overcooked it was more like mashed potatoes. Worst of all was the key lime cake that was literally stale. It had to be days old. My date's sea bass was undercooked. And if you care about plating... more like a diner than an upscale restaurant. Our server was great, so she got a $25 tip, but Bonefish will not be getting my $150 dinners in the future. Way better options out there. Time to close this chain. read more

I recently came here for a Friday evening dinner with my boyfriend. We didn't make a reservation, but we came in just after 5pm as it wasn't as full yet. However by 6:30pm, the dining area was packed! All the staff was wearing masks which I appreciated, however the tables are very close together in the main dining area which didn't seem appropriate due to COVID19 precautions I've seen in other restaurants. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient, and our food came out very fast! We ordered the Crabcakes and Calamari for appetizers, which were both great. We wished the calamari pieces were bigger, but the breading and sauce were excellent. The crabcakes were also good but they easily crumbled apart. I also ordered the blackberry red wine sangria which was quite sweet, which I prefer. For entrees we got the Blackened Salmon Pasta and a special, the Shrimp Rangoon Salmon. Both were very delicious.
