The Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad has lots of grilled shrimp (yes properly deveined) with just a little lime seasoning and it went perfectly with the large portion of salad. Be sure to ask for some of their bread too if they don't bring you some, we liked it so much we asked for seconds. The key lime pie is a little more tart than at some places and is definitely worth a try as well. They weren't packed on a weekend afternoon but I'm sure they can get crowded at happy hour. read more

I enjoy myself at Bonefish! I've visited twice two different locations in Florida. It takes you out of the routine atmosphere into a different ambiance. It makes me feel like I'm on vacation - it's not like going to your neighborhood red lobster or longhorn. Now, In regards to the food: I really like their calamari and their bread and oil served together. Went yesterday. Won't be back. Went there for brunch ordered filet mignon Lobster eggs Benedict and a California omelette. Also a Sprite. There was debris floating in the Sprite if it had been a cola we would not have seen it was so disgusting so we told the waitress she brought us a new one but when we got the bill we were charged twice for the Sprite, also there was barely any steak or Lobster on the eggs benedict the portions were very small, when we left we were still hungry. My toast was very dry and slightly burnt and tasted bad the bacon was terrible. Lobster eggs benedict was $20 alone. It is overrated it is overpriced and not worth it. The Bang Bang Shrimp was pretty good. This time it seemed like a normal appetizer size. But my taste of the mussels was even better: that sauce, mopped up with bread, was delicious. The flavored olive oil for the bread was also notably good. I had two martinis. The raspberry one was one of the best cocktails I've tasted, even better than the good espresso martini. The pecan-crusted trout was quite good, though too large. I liked the au gratin potatoes with it. The green beans were decent. Service was very slow, but this was New Year's Eve. It was noisy enough to make conversation difficult sometimes. I'd return, especially for the mussels with bread to mop up that sauce and the raspberry martini. read more

I have never been this disappointed in an all around experience at a bonefish. I recently moved out here from the beaches and got a gift card for Christmas. Tonight was awful. I honestly probably could of looked past the overly charred filet that seems like it was reheated and overly cooked lobster tail but the absolute worst part was the server. She did not seem like she gave a shit and we literally had to try and stop her for anything we needed. At points when my husband would finally stop her to order some wine she didn't even look my way to see if I needed another glass as well. I do understand if someone is busy but she was literally in her own world. The other guy working the bar tables seemed to be working hard and you could tell by how happy his tables were. My first time coming to this restaurant with my significant other & our experience wasn't as expected . I order scallops & shrimp & he ordered a sirloin streak. His requested temperature for his steak was med well & his steak came to him well done. The manager did discount his meal which was nice & definitely appreciated. I received 5 shrimps with my meal & 4 scallops which both were very dry & bland. I've been to multiple Bonefish & I've never seen anyone receive such a small amount of shrimp. The man next to us receive a whole skewer which was about 8-9 shrimp & he had the same meal as I did. Our experience wasn't good at all with food wise but our server gave us the best service possible. We will not be back to this location at all. read more

Came here for brunch today with DH to partake in the Bottomless Bubbles brunch special. We ordered the calamari to start with and that was just meh. It was greasy and the squid was on the chewy side. The dipping sauce was decent. For our meal, I ordered the Surf & Turf Benedict and he got the mushroom spinach Benedict. The S&T was good, and I liked the fact that one wasn't surf while the other was the turf--each muffin had both on it. My only complaint was that the English muffins were a bit on the thick and hard-to-cut through side. I had a taste of DH's food and really enjoyed it. His mushroom spinach Benedict was so flavorful and garlicky and delicious that I made him trade me one of his! As for the drinks...! I started out with the peach Bellini and it was okay. It was a bit too dry for me at first, but by the time I got to the end of it, I could definitely taste the fruitiness and sweetness of it. I decided to switch it up and try the blackberry sangria. The sangria was absolutely delicious and I am now a fan! It tasted like a sweet grape juice...there was no dryness or an alcohol aftertaste. And it certainly packs a punch. I was pretty buzzed by the time we left and was glad that DH was driving. When we got the check I was surprised to see that my order was rung up as the entree ($13.70) + the BB drink special ($12) instead of the $19.90 that was stated on the menu. We didn't say anything because we figured maybe the S&T Benedict was a premium item(?) but we will clarify next time. Service was good and we had no complaints. After on hold for six minutes to make a reservation I hung up and called back (this was 2:15 pm). Ron answered, apologized for my wait and booked my reservation for 6 pm. We ran early and checked in at 5:38. We were told that once the 5:30 reservations were seated they would then call us. That's fair. At 6:05 we were seated in the bar area. We sat for 15 minutes without any server passing by even acknowledging us. My husband was kind enough to tell the check in that we were leaving and even the "man bun" manager really didn't care. Wow. Everything is great at Bone Fish especially the Bang Bang Shrimp. The lines to get in are usually lengthy so you might consider setting at the bar area. They should push out into the next building because it is TIGHT in there. I order the Fish n Chips and request the bang bang shrimp sauce to accommodate for dipping purposes and for the price I'm in the very Happy Camper Zone. It feels very I'm with the family in the dining room as it just a big room with tables next to each other. No partions for privacy but it's not really that inconvenient until you walk around.They do have a great Happy Hour so check them out soon! read more

For a chain restaurant the appetizers are good and the cocktails are innovative ! I've always enjoyed all the cocktails here and they change them depending on the season. The espresso martini was rimmed in chocolate and was delish ! The blackberry frost was inside a whole frozen ice block ! How cool ! The watermelon martini during the summer is divine. They also make housemade sours and vanilla bean syrup. The bang bang shrimp is a large portion and $6 on Wednesday that is what they are known for. Amazing whipped cream ! I always forget about Bonefish b/c I never actually drive past it or see it while I'm out and about. Last night a friend invited us out for his birthday and Bonefish was his destination of choice. We met up in the bar and enjoyed so great Happy Hour cocktails to start with a few appetizers. (they have some great happy hour deals from 4-6:30) Then we moved to a table in the dining room for dinner where we shared a few more apps and enjoyed our meals. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and my friend ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad....we decided to split our orders. This was a great choice after so many starters. (The full menu is also available). I went this weekend with a bridal party and we received the most amazing, attentive service from a gentleman named Bailey. Our glasses were never empty and his menu suggestions were excellent. I was amazed that the restaurant wasn't packed because $10 bottomless mimosa / sangria / bellini is quite a deal! So my husband surprised me last month by reserving a room for my birthday and invited friends and family. Unknowingly at the time of making the reservation, we had someone in our party with food allergies. We asked if we could order something different for her and was flat out told no. The manager said they have a special chef just for large parties and it was not possible to do anything different. My husband already knew he had to pay the bill, that was not the issue. He knew he had to tip our two servers, again, not an issue. He just wanted our guest to be able to eat something. It was my first and last time going there. I wrote the unfavorable review below when we picked up dinner at Bonefish three weeks ago, and had such a bad experience I rated them one star. However, since that time we have experienced the excellent food and service that we had always experienced at Bonefish previous to our dinner three weeks ago. So even though the experience that night was extremely disappointing and frustrating, management not only repeatedly let us down but also failed to reach out to us for an explanation or apology, we feel that it would be fair to rate them based on all of the other visits and assume that the manager who was in charge three weeks ago was hopefully an exception. Certainly the other staff that we dealt with that night were much more helpful than the manager. Before tonight, I would likely have given Bonefish 4 1/2 stars. We have been a long-time customer of Bonefish, and have eaten there every week.However, tonight's experience lowered them to one star. I certainly understand that the current circumstances present a challenge to restaurants, but that is no excuse to be rude to customers. We called in our order, and I went to the San Jose Bonefish at the time they said that the food would be ready. They had a table set up outside to take names, and I gave them my name. After that, it was as if I did not exist. They served four people Who arrived after I did, but never acknowledged further that I was there or what was happening to my food. 20 minutes later, with other customers coming, getting served, and leaving, I asked to speak to a manager. The staff person out front said they were all in the back. I walked inside, and asked for a manager, and there was no one to be seen. As I walked toward the back, someone walked out of the kitchen and identified himself as the manager. I explained what my concern was, that I had arrived at the time that I was told the food would be ready, and it was now 25 minutes later, and no food or explanation. He asked if the people behind me had called in before I did. I answered that I had no way to know that. He said that preparing takeout food takes a long time. I told him that of course if that's the case, I would expect the person on the phone to take that into account when they give me a time to come pick up my food. I asked the manager to find out where my food was. He told me I had to leave and go outside. I asked him to please find out what happened to our food and an explanation as to why it was now 30 minutes late. He said that he would have to know what name it was under and what time all of the other people called. I told him the name that The order was under, and if he would just find out where our food is. I went outside, and he never showed up again. Our food showed up about 10 minutes later, and although other customers had been offered to go through their bags to ensure all the food was there, that same offer was not made to me. However, when I looked at the receipt attached to the bag, I could tell that there was a mistake in our order. I asked the waitress about the Caesar salad that did not appear on the receipt attached to the bag, and she said that they must've missed the Caesar salad. She was very nice, and offered to go get it for me. It took about another 10 minutes, but I got the Caesar salad. She wasVery nice because she also offered to go through the bag with me to ensure all of the rest of the meal was correct. I hope management finds out who the manager was who was so disrespectful and uncaring tonight and very poorly represented the restaurant. read more

My husband and I went to this location for dinner, we were seated promptly (we came before the dinner crowd) and the waiting staff were just incredible specially Paul. We ordered the summer boil for two (their specialty dish) but when it was first delivered to our table, the crab legs were missing. When we told Paul about it a few seconds later TJ (manager) approached us, apologized and got us a new order of the meal. Not only that they didn't let us pay for it. I know that they're supposed to make things right but they went above and beyond and I think they deserve some recognition. We'll definitely be back again and they just made a customer for life. This Bonefish has quickly become a family favorite (at one point we went 3 times in 3 weeks for birthdays!). It can be busy so reservations are always a safe bet but it's worth it! Every time I've eaten here, we've had great service. They are more than willing to make your dish exactly how you like it to keep you happy. I've never been unhappy with anything I've tried here (bang bang shrimp is a favorite of course, I've also had their crab cakes and salmon but I tend to lend towards their specials). We have a few picky eaters in our family so the ability to make whatever sauce you like is nice. It's not cheap but it's well worth it. read more

I love bonefish. I loved it in Memphis, St Louis, and I wanted to love it here.. been here several times. And there are some issues with this one that will keep me from frequenting here. 1- reservations. Book a table for 7:30 days ahead of time, don't get sat till 8:00. These are not reservations, but really call ahead. They just add you to the list already in progress when you arrive. 2- drinks. Order 2 cosmos 15 minutes apart, one is ridiculously alcoholic, another has no alcohol at all. So tart unable to drink. 3- portion size. I ordered fish and chips twice and both times they came with 3 tiny pieces of cod and about 10 fries. Ridiculous for over 15 bucks. Prices just keep going up and portions keep getting smaller. I live too close to the ocean to be coming here for seafood at this portion and price anymore. read more

This is a go to spot for me for dinner and drinks and it is usually very consistent and good, however when I came here for my birthday it was a bit different this time. We started with the bang bang shrimp which were over cooked and just not good (how unusual). I just decided to keep with the appetizer theme and ordered the tuna app and dumplings. The tuna is always great! The ginger beef dumplings generally lacked not just ginger flavor, but any flavor at all. If it wasn't for the accompanying slaw that came with it, it would have been totally bland. Where should I begin! First off, this restaurant is fine dining at a reasonable price. You want to look representable when attending. No flip flops ripped Jean shorts etc, because you will look out of place. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful. I ordered the Sirloin and Crab Cake meal, which came with two sides ($20.5 I believe). The mashed potatoes and crab cake were AMAZING!! I had my steak rare, I normally get em medium rare. Also, try their Corn Chowder Crab soup, if you like chowder. I love that their meals are delicious and inexpensive. Bonefish also have this rewards program. We ordered a wedge salad but it didn't come out until after we received our entrees. The filet mignon wasn't seasoned, and I had to put salt and pepper on it. Another person at my table even had to asked for steak sauce due to lack of flavor. The pork chop didn't hit the spot like it normally does. Food was overall ok, but I expect so much better from this restaurant. I'm leaving a new review based mainly on my experience today which was during Sunday brunch I have to say that the bread was super delicious as always and the service was great maybe a little bit slow because it was so busy in there...but I have to complain about the noise it was so loud in there it was awful! and with all the plates clattering it did not make for a relaxing time...now if I wanted to go and get drunk on the bottomless mimosas and hoot & holler maybe that would have been a better plan! Lol but we were trying to celebrate my mother's birthday so that did not go well at all because she got a headache immediately... anyway on to the food: the Ahi Tuna BLT was really good, and the grilled salmon superfood salad was excellent!
