Lobster Bisque (full of lobster pieces)
Diele K.

When in Jacksonville for a work trip, my coworker and I decided to check out this location. We have a Capital Grill location in the Phoenix, Arizona area that has been on my radar to try but hadn't yet. My coworker remarked several times about how great this chain is and we decided to check it out. Our waiter was Alex, and he was absolutely exceptional! I appreciated all his recommendations and conversation throughout our dinner. We dined in the bar area, which was still very beautiful though a little noisier than what I'd imagine the dining room would be like. Though since near the bar, my dirty vodka martinis were very quick to make it to our table. As for food, the lobster bisque was full of lobster and very rich. Quite honestly, probably the best I've ever had. For my entree, I had the Gorgonzola-Crusted Dry Aged Bone-In NY Strip with Cabernet Reduction, and it was delightful. Absolutely stunning! Paired beautifully with the roasted mushrooms that we got a side to share for the table. To end on a sweet note, we had the crème brûlée and cheesecake. Both were decadent and delicious. A truly remarkable meal, and now I have to plan a date night with my boyfriend to a location in Arizona. Well done Alex and The Capital Grille!

The service here is top notch and like no other. It's truly an experience. The food also hits a high bar each time and is pretty consistent. However, the ahi tuna was a bit too salty but they quickly remedied the situation and brought out a new dish and it was impeccable and very quick. The steak, seafood, chicken, and everything is so good here. My absolute favorite is honestly their French onion soup. I could come here just for that and a nice Cabernet because it's massive! I have lots of leftovers. You need a reservation for dinner, and not sure about lunch.

Service was excellent, drinks were great, that vodka martini was great, only needed one! Lol and the food, delish! Only thing was i asked for the strip steak cooked med and that thing came out well done! Next time will ask for med rare, they are small steaks. It's dark and fancy in there, just loved it!

I've been on a bit of a Capital Grille kick the past few months, so while in the area, I thought it would be fun to check out the Jacksonville location for the first time. The overall experience wasn't quite on the same level as my recent visits to Palm Beach and Boca, it was still a very solid meal. The Bone-in Ribeye was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time... perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Of course, Sam's Mashed is always a must, so good. Started with a Shrimp Cocktail... love the spicy cocktail sauce, and requested the mustard sauce they serve with the crab cocktail. Still, the Lump Crabmeat Cocktail remains my favorite appetizer on the menu. Cocktails and wine by the glass rounded out a very enjoyable evening. Byron C. provided excellent service and did a great job staying on top of things, especially when the kitchen lagged behind at times.

This was the perfect kick off to my birthday celebrations!!!! My bestie brought me for my birthday & it was happy hour, which was literally the best deal HH I've probably ever been to!!! I started with the Greyhound martini which was perfect with the hand squeezes grapefruit juice. She got a dirty martini and was very pleased. We split the following small plates: petit filet mini burgers, arancini, truffle fries, and garlic shrimp. WOWWW. Every single thing was fantastic but my favorites were the arancini and the shrimp. Absolute fantastic flavors and equally fantastic price points for such a luxurious restaurant. They gifted me a beautiful birthday platter with a chocolate mousse and a crème brulee cheesecake. Absolutely loved both!!! Our service was incredible, Amanda was proactive and very efficient. Can't wait to come back!! Thank you Capital Grille for kicking off my birthday in the best fashion possible!!!

Service was top notch. The ambiance would be nice if it wasn't super dark. I needed to use my flashlight for the menu dark. We'd been to the location in DC, and the decor was the same, but it wasn't so dark. The food was just pretty average whereas in DC it was superb.

The Capital Grille delivers exactly what you expect from an upscale steakhouse quality, and excellent service. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels refined. The lighting, decor, and overall ambiance make it a great spot for celebrations or business dinners. Service aside, the food is definitely the star. The steaks are expertly cooked and well-seasoned, prompting one member of my party to declare it the best he's ever eaten. The sides were great especially the lobster mac and cheese and which was rich, flavorful, and big enough to share. The scallops were perfection. Service is top tier. Staff members are attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and make sure you're taken care of without hovering. Little touches like table-side explanations or checking in at the right moments make the experience feel special and classy. Whether you're celebrating something big or just treating yourself, The Capital Grille is one of Jacksonville's most reliable spots for a high-end dining experience. I always leave satisfied and looking forward to my next visit. The Capital Grille isn't cheap, but the quality absolutely justifies the price in this case.

The service was absolutely impeccable and the food was out of this world. We were seated towards the back and it was splendid. The lighting throughout the restaurant made the environment enchanting. This place is being run very well, all of the staff were aware and courteous. If you're in the area I 100% recommend!

Firstly, the food and service at capital grill is top notch. We are frequent visitors and the quality of the total experience justifies the price point of the restaurant. I always get a steak there and they're always tender, delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff, from the hostess to the servers are friendly and professional. Bartenders are attentive and make creative and delicious cocktails. You really can't go wrong here. However, if there was one nagging issue with management of the bar. On this visit, there was a minor sitting in the corner of the bar. Now it was Thanksgiving Day, and I believe the minor's mother was working the bar. Not a great way to spend Thanksgiving, so I'm ok with that. What I wasn't ok with was the minor taking up two chairs my placing their phone and jacket in the adjacent chair while my party stood at the bar. We would have stayed longer (more drinks $$$) but it was ridiculous that paying customers had to stand while the bartender turned a blind eye to the seating situation. Again, great overall experience, but for this level of dining establishment, this was not good for business.

Kelvin is the glue keeping this place together! I love frequenting this place every so often as a local but I have never received as great service here as I did with Kelvin. Here made sure I got immediately situated even during a crazy rush. Thanks again!

Absolutely delicious dinner with large group 10 people I went here for a work dinner and I must say everything we had was amazing. Service was phenomenal and our waiter was fast and effective. All his recommendations were very tasty such as the cocktail shrimp and etc. We also had lobster bisque soup with a bit of sherry which was divine. A glass of red wine pairing for our steak dinner along with all different types of sides like mash potatoes and macaroni and cheese. It was a great dinner overall and a wonderful experience!

The Capital Grille is a great option for a nice lunch and likely dinner. While waiting on my car to be serviced, I took an Uber to Capital Grille and had a very nice experience. I opted to sit at the bar and had the most phenomenal server, Kandi! Kandi went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied. Drinks: I was unsure of what to order, so Kandi crafted a blueberry and raspberry martini of sorts. It was delicious. Later, my dessert was accompanied by champagne which was also good. Food: for starters, I had a simple Caesar salad. Nothing special, just what you'd expect. As an entree I opted for the steak frites but without frites-- I was undecided between the au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach, so Kandi gave me both! They were both decent, but not better than their competitor, Ruth's Chris. When asked about my temperature preference for the steak, I said medium. When it arrived, it was not the desired temperature but I wasn't going to complain. However, Kandi informed the kitchen staff that it was not the proper temperature and let me take the "wrong" steak home for later. I couldn't complain about that! As if her generosity couldn't get any better, Kandi brought out a complimentary dessert tray. My favorite was the cheesecake, I'd highly recommend it. Next time I'm in Jacksonville to get my car serviced, I will come back. The service and hospitality were great and it's an added bonus that it's in the Town Center, so I'm able to shop/walk off the meal.

Field Greens Salad with Parmesan vinaigrette.

Listen...when I tell you that the Capital Grille owes me nothing, I mean it! The luncheon was a work one, but regardless, our hosts were great, engaging, personable, professional and polite. The room was dressed well and the temperature was not even a thought. We began with hors d'oeuvres: antipasto tray of fruits, cheeses and cuts of meat, slices of pan seared tuna with a sesame seed crust atop a cucumber slice dressed with watercress and Arancini (fried risotto balls) drizzled with balsamic dressing. It was so delicious. Next, we had appetizers served to each table, family style, of prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, peppers and balsamic and fried calamari and octopus and peppers. I've had fried calamari before and was not a fan. BUT the Capital Grille has made me come around! Crispy, not chewy nor greasy, with the peppers gave it a wonderful balance of seasoning, depth of flavor and spice! The salad options were great and I chose the field greens with vegetables and a Parmesan vinaigrette. Not overpowering nor underwhelming. I was so pleased. The salad was accompanied by a variety of rolls and pita wedges. The entree options were steak, fish or chicken breast with sides of grilled asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes. That may sound "regular", believe me, it wasn't (menu will be posted). I had the pan seared sea-bass atop asparagus cuts, shiitake mushrooms in a miso butter! THAT miso butter was amazing! The piece was tender, crispy skin and glistening on the inside. Every bite was a symphonic delight in my mouth. The cut asparagus in my dish was tender and enjoyable with every bite. The whole spears were tasty, yet, soft and overcooked. The mashed potatoes were seasoned, creamy and rustic with the skin of new red potatoes. Sincerest compliments to the chef. Then there was the dessert...last but certainly not least! There was a flight for every urge anyone could have! Crème brûlée with mixed berries, flourless chocolate cake slice and a toasted coconut and caramel tart with a beautiful tulle. While I'm not a big fan of chocolate, I did have a taste of the other two. Delectable. Not too sweet. Excellent balance of sweet and acidity with the tart and the berries were a great addition for the crème brûlée. A masterful work of the culinary arts. This is definitely high on the list for special occasions. There's outdoor dining, as well.

Seeing as that we're not big wine drinkers, we were very happy with the size of the meals, the size of the menu, and just overall the quality and taste of the food that we got. We also really loved that the server brought out some complementary pretzel bread to start us off, along with some butter, which was delicious. We ended up getting a nice bowl of soup that had some shrimp, lobster, and crab in it. It was a bisque, and it was absolutely delightful. Perfect size for just a cup, or if you want to get a nice bowl, that could be probably a meal for you or for someone else. The entrees were delicious, and for dessert we got this baked cookie or brownie sort of thing with ice cream on top. It was like this Reese's peanut butter cup sundae, and it was absolutely to die for. It was one of those meals that you come in hungry and you leave stuffed, and at the end of the meal you figure, "Okay, I'm done eating," but as soon as the server asks, "Would you like some dessert?" even though your stomach's pounding, you say yes. You have to say yes because it's so delightful. Definitely go back to Cooper's Hawk. Had an awesome time. We'll be back soon.

Reservations can be made via OpenTable, and I saw this suggested on Yelp so I decided to try one evening. Upon arriving, I marveled at the beauty of the interior design of the bottom floor that also serves as a gallery. I ascended the staircase as the restaurant is on the third floor. I dined alone as this trip I didn't have a coworker with me, but I still was seated in a cozy corner to take it all in. Isaac, my waiter, was incredibly friendly, and ensured I had everything I needed. What I Ordered: - Caesar Salad: This salad is as pretty good, but at a price point of $19, I would likely skip if dining here again. Though, it did have the perfect hint of lemon for acidity and the croutons tasted house-made. Perhaps if you added a protein, this could become your main dish and elevate it. - Lobster Roll: $36 for a lobster roll?! I was intrigued as this was noted as a signature dish and a standout for what this location is known for... and boy was I IMPRESSED! The roll was perfectly toasted, and the lobster to roll ratio was absolute perfection. The flavor of the lobster was juicy and tasted fresh. This roll was so good that even the neighboring table as they left asked how I enjoyed it. They were recognized by staff, so I believe they are regulars. We all discussed how delicious it was and I shared my thoughts on the execution of lobster to bread ratio. I dined here a couple weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about where in Arizona I'll ever find a roll as decadent. - Cappuccino: a mark of a truly well-crafted cappuccino is the sugar test. Will the foam withstand the weight of sugar or will it sink to the bottom (poorly frothed)? I had ordered and didn't realize they would put a design on top! Visually stunning, and happy to report they make a beautiful cappuccino with delightful foam. Added pictures to showcase the design they added, and the sugar test. The rooftop has stunning views, and the food is a work of art as well. Though I had a lighter dinner with a salad + lobster roll, I was impressed with the meal and would return to try more of the menu if I visit for business or personal reasons in the future. This area has lots of restaurants, but this one definitely leaves an impression and draws this foodie back in to return. Check it out if you are in the area!

Service was attentive and gracious. I started with a rose spritz, the avocado carpaccio, and the half roast chicken. The spritz was a delight. Not too sweet, very refreshing. The carpaccio was amazing with the smoked salt, and the briny caviar. My friend ordered the chips and dip, and heaven on earth is combining the two appetizers (a chip topped with avocado and then a dollop of creme fraiche/caviar). The chicken was okay. I should have gone with something else, but I panic-ordered. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't remarkable. I should have gone with a fancy salad or the lobster roll. My second drink, a glass of rose, was okay but wasn't served ice cold, a disappointment. I shared a chocolate chip cookie at the end of the meal, and it was absolutely delicious. I'd happily return with that crew of ladies, and I'd happily recommend this place for a date night.

My Experience at Aromas Cigar, Wine & Martini Bar -- StogieFest 2026…read moreI attended StogieFest 2026 at Aromas Cigar, Wine & Martini Bar in Jacksonville for the very first time, looking forward to enjoying a relaxing evening with great cigars, drinks, and conversation. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a pleasant event turned into a truly frightening experience. While sitting at a table with three ladies, an unidentified man -- who I later learned is believed to be one of the owners or managers -- suddenly and aggressively flipped the open chair next to me, shoving the table hard enough to almost tip it over. Our drinks and handbags nearly went flying. Everyone at our table was visibly startled and shaken. Instinctively, I stood and asked, "Hey, why did you do that? Who is this guy?" Instead of responding, he became even more aggressive and began moving toward me as if he intended to attack. It took three security personnel to physically restrain him, and even they struggled to hold him back. Once he was finally removed from the area, two managers and a waitress approached our table, genuinely apologetic. They offered to pay for our drinks, urged us to stay, and assured me the situation would be handled. Several nearby patrons also expressed their concern and asked if we were okay -- everyone appeared disturbed by what they had just witnessed. I stepped outside to calm down before returning to my table, hoping to salvage what was left of the night. But before long, the same man returned, once again appearing angry and hostile, seemingly looking for me. Security had to step in a second time to remove him. Moments later, security personnel told me I needed to leave -- despite the fact that one of the managers (Torrence) had specifically asked me to stay and reassured me I had nothing to worry about. That manager was suddenly nowhere to be found, and security insisted I go. Another man named Max came over, spoke politely, and apologized, asking me to take his hand and leave for my safety. At that point, I was terrified and deeply shaken. To be absolutely clear: * I have never met or spoken to the aggressive man (whose name, I was told, is Abe) prior to this incident. * I overheard patrons mentioning that he had been drinking all day. * I am not a regular at Aromas -- this was my first visit, simply to attend StogieFest and enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a traumatic encounter that left me feeling unsafe, humiliated, and confused. No guest should ever have to experience something like this -- especially at a professional, public event.

The food is fine and large servings for sure but it just doesn't hold up to local Italian restaurants around JAX.

Inside, you'll find a mix of bar seating, tables, booths, and comfortable couches, while the outdoor patio offers a relaxed atmosphere. The hummus platter was fantastic, and the calamari was delicious with generous portion sizes. The cocktails were well made, and the hookah was a fun addition that really completed the experience. Overall, it was a great night out, and I'll definitely be back!

A really beautiful space, inside and out, catering to private parties and wealthier clientele. If…read moreservice on drinks and food and been faster I'd have given two more stars, but the place was very calm and we still waited a while to drink and eat. Had to assume there was a private party secluded somewhere eating up literally everyone's time. Drinks average $15 each, very short menu of food, appetizers, and desserts, but what they cook, they cook Well! Delicious! However, we arrived around 6pm without reservations on a night when literally every table had a Reserved sign on it, and 90% of the tables were empty and remained so while we were there for an hour. 1-2 bartenders, and a virtually empty main restaurant, and our first drinks after being seated took over 10 minutes. Shocking and disappointing. The food took about 20 minutes to come out but was worth the wait, very good food. They offer hookahs also but at a premium price, much more than Casbah and other competitors. They have private dining and private rooms with chandeliers and I saw one with a billiard table. Catering to elitist clientele with money to spend and all the time in the world, I guess. I would have loved to enjoy a no rush hookah on their very loved outdoor patio, but I also hate waiting for drinks outside when they're already high priced. If you do come for a drink, I highly recommend the Love Potion! Our server was polite and professional, she promptly greeted us and checked on us occasionally.
