1/2 dozen fresh Raw or Steamed Oysters on the Half Shell*
    Michael H.

I had a craving for some fresh seafood and since I was on the coast this was a difficult decision as there are many choices. Fish Camp was the closest and with the weather I went with best closest. Good choice. Upscale by the water and probably should have had a reservation but since I was early I was able to be seated immediately. Service was exceptional as expected for a higher end establishment. The oysters were delicious and the flounder was exceptional. The old fashioned was excellent also. Nice place but didn't see an option for parking other than valet.

Millie was our server and she was great. It means so much to be attentive to a family with several little kids. She brought oyster crackers for the Hangry babies to have while we waited for the food. She half filled the water cups so it wouldn't be too heavy. It's those little things that make good service, great service. For lunch, everything we had was good. Just the right amount of seasoning on everything. The catch of the day was really good. It was a B liner snapper and prepared very well. We didn't they to try the bourbons, but there was a big drink selection.

Food at this spot is absolutely bangin. Had a variety of fried seafood and every single option was fantastic. Food came out hot and fast for the win. Ive eaten at seafood spots all over Florida (and the south in general) and the food here was as good as Ive had anywhere. Server was great too! 4.5 for Julington Creek. If it were directly on the water and the parking was better I'd go 5. Place is .

We came here on a Wednesday evening for my dad's birthday. It was really busy and parking spaces are limited. We were seated outside which was nice as it wasn't too hot. They also have giant fans outside. I ordered a red sangria and fried deviled crab platter. My mom got the fried shrimp and oyster platter. My dad got the red snapper special. The food tasted good. However, it doesn't seem like they give a lot of food for the price point. I do want to try the oysters next time though.

The service is always great. Millie is so accommodating to the kids and the last two times we dined in, she was our waitress. She is fabulous! Food never lacks flavor and they are consistent with their recipe. We love it here! The food is always super yummy!!

Love the vibe of this place, feels like a neighborhood staple and that's just what I needed. Our waitress was great, timely and took our order quickly. I ordered the smoked fish dip for my appetizer and loved it! Seasoned well and definitely had the flavor of a great smoked fish dip. For my main course I ordered the North Carolina blue crab cakes! Although the cakes came out way smaller than I expected, the flavor was there and they were cooked so well. My seasonal veggies were cooked to perfection and those potatoes were AMAZING!

I really like this place. I have been here a number of times and just feel like it is super consistent between the service the food in the atmosphere. Sometimes the wait is overly long, but you could do reservations so that would solve for that! I also really liked that they have the heated patio so you can still enjoy the outdoors when it's a little cooler. They have lots of great oyster specials and I'd like to rotate around to try them. Only thing I would say about them is that their parking lot is crap but they do have valet so there's that.

We always have a good time at Julington and the food is really fresh. Service is always solid and it's good vibes. My husband got the special steak this time and that was really good. I had the special flounder and it was delicious. I have yet to have a bad meal here.

This place is always packed. I never really look at the menu. I always look to the right or left me to see who ordered what and can't just choose from there. Actually my favorite is the beat salad and the pork chops are to die for when I do fish there I do like the crabcakes the shrimp I haven't quite tried getting a whole fried fish yet maybe next time

My wife's birthday gave us a perfect excuse to take the day off, wander a bit, and eat lunch somewhere we don't usually go. She had a craving for whole fried fish, so we pointed the car toward Julington Creek Fish Camp and made a small adventure out of it. It was a gorgeous day, the kind that begs for outdoor seating, and the marina view delivered exactly what it promised. Boats drifting by, sunlight bouncing off the water, an easy start to a celebratory lunch. We began with the grilled octopus and white bean salad, expecting a modest appetizer. What arrived was closer to a full meal. Tender octopus, creamy white beans, spring greens, tomatoes, and a creamy vinaigrette that brought some much needed acidity. Everything was cooked well and thoughtfully assembled, and it set a high bar for what followed. We also ordered a cup of Rick's All Day Seafood Soup, a tomato based broth packed with seafood bits, onions, and celery, with a pleasant back end heat that lingered just long enough. For my main, I went with the Royal Red Shrimp Roll and fries. The shrimp salad was fine but timid, under seasoned and ultimately forgettable, despite decent ingredients and a nicely toasted roll. My wife got her birthday wish, a whole fried yellowtail snapper with fries and coleslaw. The fish arrived hot and beautifully crisp, straight from the fryer. Texture wise, it was spot on. Flavor wise, it needed more salt and more confidence. The theme of the meal became clear. The cooking is solid, even careful, but the seasoning pulls its punches. The octopus salad was the clear standout, while the rest of the food played it safe. 3 Stars A lovely setting with strong execution, but in a city full of seafood, flavor still matters.

Fried Green Tomatoes with tomato topping

Ambiance is always beautiful outside on the deck of this location. I love the green tomatoes here!! That sauce and cheese crumble on top is such a treat- however, will order them next time without the diced tomatoes. Definitely have to get the gator tail here, and an extra plate to eat the salad. It was good, wish it were chopped salad style instead of lettuce, the salad was hard to pick up on the forks they give you. Either way, this place is pretty good, especially since I only order appetizers. Next time I'll try the grilled salmon BLT

I absolutely love Juking Creek. Decided to have lunch there today. The service was great and the food was impeccable. I ordered shrimp and clams that were fried to perfection. The clam were also tender. I opted for the bacon butter beans also the tomatoes and okra. Broth were well seasoned. This restaurant is always a great option.

I showed up on a Tuesday and was seated at a high top. Service was great, food was fabulous and my drink was perfect. This was a recommendation by a friend as I was only in town for 2 days. They were extremely busy and had a great rapport with the local customers.

Metro Diner has since become a regular goto place for fast and efficient service and food. We don't know the full menu yet. Over the past visits we have tried the teriyaki salmon, meatloaf, ribs, fish and chips and chicken pot pie. All of these were superb. Also we usually have two eggs, over easy for me and well fried for her with an entree or sometimes a bowl of oatmeal with various fixing. A full line of pancakes and waffles as well and really, my challenge is to insist on holding back the usual pile of pancakes as I am to old to carry all of it away! If you are retired military, be sure to flash your id for a discount - yeah, it is that kind of place. Family and community values are clear from the decor and ambiance. Finally, the price. Last night a great pork chop, which has become my usual choice with two eggs and coffee and two eggs, grits, and toast for her and under 40 bucks including tip.

Acted like I was just another thing to do. At $15 a plate, I expected a smile, a look of appreciation for a good tip, and a thank you for coming in. In my opinion, the other wait staff are resentful of kindness and appreciation. Tips are payed accordingly.

The dining room is spacious, there's 2 TVs with different sports networks on, the restroom is impeccably clean, and I'm always cheerfully greeted by the staff. As for other locations, the service quality tends to vary from day to day. My go-to order is the Bacon Cheddar Burger, cooked medium, with onion rings instead of fries, and a fountain drink. They don't have combo meals, sadly, so everything is a la carte. On the rare... and I do mean RARE occasion that I opt for something even remotely healthy, the Garden Chicken Salad with Ranch is a tasty choice. The KEY is the Ranch. It's served chilled and I believe it's made in-house...or at least it tastes that way. Perfect dressing for a salad, phenomenal dip for the piping hot Onion Rings. Winning. As addicting as they are, I do wish that there were more than 5 Onion Rings in a serving, especially when there's an upcharge for the substitution. There have been a few occasions when the burger patty was a tad on the dry side, but not a deal breaker, the crisp bacon slices came in to save the day. P.S. Honorable Mention goes to the heavenly Cookies, Brownies, and Milkshakes that have always been there to help me finish strong. Till next time, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always...SYOY!

I got here as they opened on Sunday, and it got packed relatively quickly. I'd recommend having a reservation if you're planning to visit during busier timeframes like this. I was seated promptly by attentive staff, and quickly had both food and drink menus to begin ordering. I was looking for something tasty without being too heavy, and settled on the Little Hans Vienna Lager along with the 8 oz steak burger and fries. The beer had amazing flavor similar to Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager with a good, crisp finish. The burger meal, described with "Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onion & bacon jam, beef fat aioli, grilled potato roll, truffle fries", was arguablely the best burger and fries I've ever had in my life. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavor of the wood-fired grill certainly complemented the meat. The house-made pickles were a great touch to add another layer of complexity to the burger. I could tell the fries were fresh cut and never frozen. The truffle oil made these even more amazing. The manager offered and brought a special sauce to try that they normally serve with their chicken chicken sandwich that was superbly tasty and tangy. More than impressed with my entree, I elected to try a desert and was recommended the S'mores pie by my waitress. The deliciously buttery crust was my favorite part of the ensemble and blended well with the savory chocolate filling topped with a toasted marshmallow. While a bit pricey for lunch compared to most places, I was more than satisfied with the offerings provided here and would love to visit Ember and Iron again. Give my number one choice of 2026 thus far some love!
