Went to lunch here on a Saturday! Bonefish is always good to me, but I've heard some say they don't like it! My waiter was very nice, patient and even suggested some menu items based on his preferences which were good! The shrimp and lobster corn chowder was really good! She immediately asked if we had a reservation making it seem like we weren't going to be seated unless otherwise. Overall just didn't like her attitude. I don't usually frequent but stopped in for a quick lunch. Ladies and gentleman, please avoid this place at all costs. It was absolutely filthy and I mean FILTHY!! The doors were covered hand prints and kids' face prints. The plexi partitions were also covered with the remnants of dna of which I wanted no parts. The booth seat hadn't been wiped done and I had to sit on a napkin. The floors were unswept were just nasty. Now, mind you, there were only ten diners in the place and just as many workers and not one of them attempted to tidy up. Bonefish Grill is a dependable chain, and that says nearly all of it for this franchise. While I normally go to the franchises in Exton and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, this one had great service for the two weeknights when I came here. Funnily enough, they have the same kind of bread and olive oil+herb pesto dipping sauce at each branch, and I am ADDICTED. The bread is perfectly crispy on the outside but super soft on the inside, and I really need to find where they get their bread because it's delicious, as is the sauce. Not entirely sure why, but this is one of the main highlights of Bonefish Grill. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp, Spicy Tuna Bowl, and Chilean Sea Bass with Mango Salsa signature sauce, with the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Seasonal Vegetables (choice of broccoli and string beans). I definitely would opt for the broccoli seasonal vegetables if given that choice again, as the string beans were a little bit TOO rigid. The shrimp was great, very tasty, and the spicy tuna bowl was a bit of an odd pairing of flavors, but to be expected--essentially a poke bowl. The Chilean Sea Bass was great, seemed relatively fresh, and well-prepared. Service is very fast, and the tables are well organized with a nice paper tablecloth covering each one. The ambiance is good, and I would definitely recommend for any occasion from family dinners to dates. read more

Friends and I recently enjoyed a small plate feast at Princeton area Bonefish. Normally go to East Brunswick which has never disappointed either. The menu is focused, the food is yummy, the wood and white tablecloth ambiance has the right balance of casual and special. The bartenders are skilled, our drinks (French 75s and Smoked Old Fashion) were delightful. And the service is perfect for me... never left wanting and no one hovering. I have been to other Bonefish locations where the food was much better than this one. I was surprised when I saw only 3 stars... But after coming here I think 3 stars is the perfect rating. I came for a date night on Friday. There was a wait so we gave them our name and took a seat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive even though she was very busy. I had a delicious patron cucumber margarita. After about 15 mins we were seated. For appetizer we shared the bang bang shrimp which was amazing! Served with chopsticks (which I thought was a nice touch) My bf had the bacon wrapped scallops with truffle Mac and cheese for entree.. This was a disappointment . I never thought Mac and cheese with truffle oil could be mediocre, but it was. And even worse was the presentation of the bacon wrapped scallops.. They filled the plate with wilted lettuce. I ordered the $30 Chilean sea bass (my favorite seafood) and wow was this bad. I hate sending food back when my bf is buying me dinner so I ate it, but wow it was the worst Chilean sea bass I ever had. for a side I had the string beans which were barely cooked and zero seasoning. Besides the food being mediocre and still paying $$$... The weirdest part was the "owner." While we were in the middle of our dinner the owner came over to tell us he was the owner and lingered over our table for a few minutes while we ate, it was very uncomfortable. This Bonefish Grill location in Lawrence Township just opened in January 2014. It's interesting because it's physically connected by the bathroom to an Outback Steakhouse that opened on the same day. That means that when you go in the bathroom, if you walk out the wrong door you're suddenly in a different restaurant. So be careful when Grandma goes to the bathroom. If you can't find her after 10 minutes, go check Outback. As for the food: This Bonefish Grill was the same caliber of food as the rest of the Bonefish seafood chain. It's much better as chains go than say Red Lobster. Bonefish prides themselves in that their seafood is never frozen, always fresh. However, I find that hard to believe for the ahi-grade tuna since most fishing boats flash freeze the tuna immediately on the ship. read more

The good news - the specialty margaritas were fresh and tasty, and our chocolate dessert was also outstanding. The bad news - the steak was overcooked and overseasoned. I usually sit at the bar, I've sat down for dinner once(the service was great and accommodating then as well as ALWAYS). I usually make it for happy hour, always having the raspberry vodka Collins and trying whatever is new on the happy hour snack menu. This time, I had "the cure" French fries, topped with fresh scallions, perfectly cooked bacon, mozzarella, melted to perfection, a healthy amount of shrimp, and a red gravy. I must say, they are hardy but VERY good. I've never been disappointed in the food I have gotten here, I am usually not a chain restaurant fan, but between the food, happy hour, and friendly service, I will be a returning customer. Odd. I'd put in a review for this location previously, but it's vanished. Nevertheless, here's the shorter and more to the point version: Service: Lousy. Our waiter barely noticed we were there. We received more attention for the guys busing the tables. Waiting time: Fairly quick on a Friday night. We had a rez, but refused the table due to it being in a bad location. We ended up waiting only 10-minutes or so for the next table. Food: My scallops and shrimp meal had decent flavor, but the scallops were puny. Shrimps were fine and of a decent size. My wife was very happy with her grilled trout, which had a good smokey flavor. If not for the tiny scallops, I'd have been pretty happy with the value of the meal. Won't go back again due to the service. It's closer by than Blue Point as it's located off of Route 1, but I'd rather pay only a little more, and forsake the convenience of having a bar on site and schlep over to Princeton for the Blue Point (assuming they've got a table) when I want fish. There's a big gaping hole in the quality seafood world here in Hamilton. I hope someone fills it soon. read more

Let's start this review off by saying our server was incredible. Joe, our server was by far one of the best servers we have ever had. We have been to many bonefish grills and this is the only one I've had to write a bad review about. It took a very long time for the food to come out. When it did come out, one order was cold, another order wasn't prepared correctly. The order that was cold was then replaced by an order that was microwaved. They did reach out to me and corrected the issues so I can give this place 3 stars instead of 1. Visited the restaurant in Mercer Mall on Saturday, March 20, 2021, party of 3. Our server was very nice, however the food was down right awful. Well, maybe not all of it, but my entrée was horrible. I had the fish & chips (simple right?). When the dish was brought out to me there was a puddle of oil in the bottom of the dish! They obviously did not drain the fish when they took it out of the oil. I picked at it, instead of sending it back, which would have delayed our departure. Brought the fish home and it was still bleeding oil! Drained it after warming it up and its still bleeding oil! It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. The fish itself had been frozen prior to cooking because the flesh was not flaky. I will NEVER order that again and if I do, I'll ask my server to ensure that the cook DRAINS THE FISH BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BASKET ON TOP OF THE FRIES! read more
