Friends picked out this restaurant for the famed bang bang shrimp. Not a repeat for a vegetarian. $11 for a house salad that included 3 small pieces of heart of palm, 3 Kalamata olives, and 3 tomatoes. When it's the only item on the menu that a vegetarian can eat, one hopes for more than 3 pieces of quarter size heart of palm. Ordered the $8.50 side of asparagus, 6 half sized asparagus were served. Side of French fries were tasty. The white sangria came with a maraschino cherry; would have expected fresh fruit only. The husband thought his Chilean sea bass, 5 half sized asparagus and the ice-cream scoop of mashed potatoes was a 3 1/2 out of 5 and overpriced. His side of asparagus was an additional $5.50 ontop of the $36 plate; ok, if there had been a few more asparagus. Service was good, a bit rushed as the server offered to take plates away while we were still actively eating. Food was super good. We got the salmon I got the pasta with the salmon. Service was so sweet we had a very sweet server. I didn't catch your name but she took our picture. She was so nice I'm so full the one was good we used to drink and cheap wine, but they had some that tasted just as good as the Muscato at Walmart. read more

We've been going here for years and just had a horrible experience. We sat at the bar top which is usually the best service in a restaurant and were appalled at the service. The restaurant was slow and there were maybe 2 other groups at the bar top so it was perplexing why we didn't get greeted. We had to ask to order our drinks which then took her probably 10 minutes to get back to us, weren't even given or asked about water, had to ask to order our food multiple times, had to ask for the check, then was given attitude when we didn't see it. We were never offered refills and were incredibly thirsty (given we didn't get any water). We usually get 3 drinks each but instead had empty drinks for half of our meal. I have never had such a bad experience nor have I ever tipped less than 20% but gave her less. I believe her name was Patricia C (per the check) but she never even introduced herself so we cannot confirm. She had black hair. We should have gone to BJs next door. read more

Well another great dinner at Bonefish Grill. But this time a twist. Bonefish Grill has great seafood choices, but what about the MEAT? Well I selected the 6oz Sirloin and Maryland Crab Cake and it was outta this world. The seasoning on the stake was perfect. Not overbearing but just enough to highlight the Sirloin. Every bite was mouthwatering and the mash potatoes and garlic spinach backed up the meal. Our server was ALEXA and she is marvelous. Funny, full of great input on the menu and super fast service. Friendly waiter kept providing water on this hot evening . Menu had to be downloaded on phone and a little hard to read. First dish sirloin steak and shrimp ... nicely done and sautéed spinach /broccoli also good . Then the grilled ahi tuna steak .. generous piece of tuna and cooked delicately with delicious lemon butter sauce . Then grilled Chilean sea-bass with lemon butter also delicious . Ordered special of scallops shrimp scampi with filet mignon, $40, was horrible. Shrimp and scallops were sitting in blood from filet which was supposed to be medium cooked but super rare , no flavor and seemed previously frozen. Food came ice cold. Presentation sloppy. 2 at table ordered French 75 cocktails that came in short water glasses with ice and a splash of gin, no presentation. All around horrible meals, to the point of unappetizing. Even though i tend to avoid chain restaurants, preferring small, individually owned places, i like Bonefish as it is consistent. When I'm in a new area and can't find a place, I'll go to Bonefish. Both my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. And truth be told, I've never had a bad meal there. Service is always consistent, pleasant, attentive, well-trained, knowledgeable staff. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Always a great wine list with prices ranging from affordable to, well, the other end - by the glass or by the bottle. If you can't finda privately owned restaurant this is a great alternative. read more

I have only been to Bonefish Grill in Orlando and Virginia Beach. I usually get their bang bang shrimp but I wanted to try something a little different on my last night in the Boulder area. I decided to eat at the bar since I was solo. The ladies behind the bar were very nice and attentive. I appreciated the conversation that we had. Also they served a very delicious blackberry sangria. I started out with the Maryland style crab cakes and I was pleased with the amount of crab. Some places seem to have more breading in their crab cakes but these were very good and actually filling. As my entree I ordered the grilled Atlantic salmon. It was over cooked. The mango salsa gave it some flavor and maybe i should have had it with the lemon butter sauce. While meeting a new friend, it was suggested that this would be a good place for dinner. When I arrived, the whole place was packed and it was standing room only to wait for a table. Fortunately the wait was not that bad and we were greeted by a lovely young waitress that was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu. This was my first time at a Bonefish Grill and it was pretty good! I think this could be a great date night setting. The lighting was low and wasn't crowded for a snowy Wednesday evening. I was offered to sit at the bar or a booth and opted for the booth next to the bar. I noticed that they have a white tablecloth, then on top was white paper for the table and then a smaller paper put on top of that. It look like a setting for a crab shack or house. The booth was made for 6 people to sit as there was 6 rolled napkins and silverware. So a family could potentially enjoy a booth. The menu was simple and only one page front and back which makes decisions easier to make. One side contained drinks and the other was food. I've gone to restaurants with 5+ pages of options and literally couldn't decide. The adult beverage prices were at least $9 for everything on the menu. I didn't notice any happy hour times or menu but for the setting I guess it seemed fair to have them at that price. I saw maybe one beer that was $7. The service was a little slow as to tell the waitress that I would like a glass of water after sitting was at least 5minutes. Her name was Abbie I believe and she was kind. It was a great meal. The bang bang shrimp was a starter and $13 or so. Only what you see at the top of the bowl is shrimp. The rest is a bed of lettuce. The 9oz of salmon was $23 and was flavorful. There's a smaller option of 7oz salmon for $20. The upcharge for premium side for mac n cheese was $4. It was okay. For the amount I under the price difference but the taste was okay. Think it may had been sitting under the food warmer for a little while. The broccoli was...broccoli lol. Total cost was $45. Overall a great dining experience. I didn't hear too much of the other tables conversation and I watched a show from my phone as I went on a solo dinner. My only complaint is for a menu that is only a page long it shouldn't take so long to get an order in and for it to come out. I would come back again! read more

Never before at any bone fish, but this I must be honest to give a bad review! If I could do a negative then I would! Arrived for a Sunday 5 pm reservation and we waited 22 minutes to get our drinks after being informed the special old fashion drink wasn't as advertised (Wolford) , then we 4 decided to order couples dinner w the one entree of green beans and a choice of another. Then told no green beans now broccoli. Then we ordered the next sides of asparagus and sprouts . Then told no asparagus. Then we asked for another round of drinks to wait another 18 minutes. So, I just find it's disappointing to say this Westminster bonefish has problems! read more

My husband and I went to this Bonefish Grill last night. I ordered Pork tenderloin Marsala and he ordered the steak and grilled shrimp. The Marsala was sickeningly sweet. I have Marsala everywhere I go, and this one was the worst ever. I actually couldn't eat it! The House salad was very good, the mashed potatoes were average and the green beans were more than Al dente. About 2-3 more minutes would have been Al dente. Surprisingly average. Everything kind of tasted similar after a while. Lots of sauce drenching most things. I wasn't aware this is a chain restaurant but now that I've gone, it makes sense. Has that type of "chain taste" where nothing is offensively bad but not much blows you away either. We were recommended the shrimp appetizer which was okay. It had shrimp absolutely drenched in a type of aioli sauce so that's pretty much all you taste. For the entree, I went with another server recommendation: the crab covered cod which consisted of a breaded piece of (mostly tasteless) cod with a small scoop of crab meat on top. The crab meat morsels were quite good. The cod was pretty boring. This was the one thing we had that didn't have sauce on it and honestly, it might have been better with some kind of flavored sauce. I also had the garlic mashed potatoes which were the server's favorite and found them to have a weird metallic-taste to the garlic (maybe garlic from a can?) and an unpleasant mealy mashed potato texture (like from a boxed hydrated potato flake). I did really enjoy the Brussel sprouts though. Those were the best thing I had and I'd highly recommend them. The service was good and the staff friendly. Decor was nice as well. Ordered the 2 for $45 deal and waitress told me the the pork was the fontina pork on the menu. They brought out three tiny dry pork medallions and when I complained- told me "oops". Wife and I were extremely annoyed when she gave me a box for my uneaten meal. We have historically come here every month or so, but will no longer be doing that and letting everyone we know to steer clear. Bad service, 22.50 p/ 1/4 lb of dry pork, no remedy of the situation. I ordered a salmon with noodles and vegetables when I went here, it is safe to say this was an amazing choice as even tho there was a little spice it was amazing. Well I'd have to say their Fish & Chips was definitely not the best I'd ever had. I think it was a little over cooked and pretty bland tasting. The Bang Bang Shrimp was as delicious as always. We Especially Like To Eat At The Bar Because It Is Casual, The Bartenders Are Helpful And They Know Our Preferences Etc. In The Summer, We Usually Eat Outside. Tonight our service was unusually slow and the server was either new or just not up to snuff. The risotto was not good. The rest of the meal was flavorful and properly prepared. She didn't do anything right away, but when I sent her an email she very kindly acknowledged that our dining experience was not up to Bonefish standards and took care of our bill. The food was below par for the price. We were looking forward to a Bone Fish Grill standard meal on the evening before Mother's Day. We ordered the halibut which was a special on the menu. It had no taste and my family could not eat it so we asked to substitute our halibut with the filet and lobster meal. The manager was not happy as she came to us to and asked us to cut into our steaks to make sure they were cooked correctly. We felt uncomfortable and told her they were okay. One of the filets was supposed to have been cooked medium but it was not pink but more well done. The other filet was medium rare which is how we asked for it to be prepared. The lobster was over cooked. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of our food, although the presentation was okay. For a chain.... not too shabby. I have been to more than one, and this was the exact layout of the other one all the way in Seattle. There is actually a little comfort in that. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and it was clean. The Bang Bang shrimp was awesome as usual. It is a little spicy, so if you hate that kind of stuff, beware. It's not flaming hot, just carries a bit of heat after you eat it. I followed up with the grilled bang bang shrimp for my main course, and I loved it just as much.
