This place is always packed, and for good reason. The fish is excellent. The strip-mall locale belies it's good food. The fresh fish can be topped with a few different sauces, all of which have been great choices. This is a great choice if you're in the area. read more

Usually I get the bang bang shrimp, salmon and blackberry sangria. Most every time I come here. Those three things are phenomenal. Rest of the menu seems to be a hit with people I have gone with. The swordfish has been awesome when it's on the menu, same with the pumpkin ravioli. The only time I have had an issue is when someone I came with ordered the filet. It was good but it was not a filet. Anyone who knows their steaks by taste, look and texture, would have known it wasn't filet. The manager rectified the situation by taking it off the bill. I don't ever give 5 stars, but Bonefish grill absolutely deserves it. Tonight was my first first time at Bonefish. It was right up there with my San Diego trip. Service was spectacular. The food was divine! I had two dirty infused martinis. The olives were stuffed with blue cheese with pickle slices as a divider. Premium alcohol. For appetizers we split a corn chowder with lump crab meat & bacon. It was delicious. Also we shared lobster stuffed shrimp. They were huge & so scrumptious. My boyfriend ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos for an entrée. I tasted it and I would definitely get this next time we come. I ordered filet mignon with Shrimp Scampi. The potatoes au gratin were slamming. And for dessert we had the donuts. My cousin told me that we should order two bc she said we would not want to share. I should have listened to her. They were so good & came with caramel & chocolate sauces & whipped cream. We shared but next time will get our own. The staff were very friendly & asked us if there were anything they could do to make our experience any better. I couldn't think of anything! The food here is above avg. We had a gift card so we went the day after Christmas. Idk if they were short staffed but it was 2pm and the service was terrible. They were all really nice but they just didn't do a great job getting food out, following up, bread came out with the dinner. It was just a mess. The worst discriminatory treatment in a restaurant ever on April 7th. The host deliberately kept us waiting for over 30 minutes while seating other people ahead of us. When we complained - the useless manager on duty was abrupt and rude. I guess they din't have a table at the back by the bathroom available... sucks. Early Friday night dinner with reservation. Seated promptly..took about 8 mins to get drink orders placed and about 5 mins after appetizer finished to get entrees. Bang bang shrimp appetizer was spicy deliciousness the lettuce served underneath helped to temper the heat. Crab cakes were perfect in texture and had plenty of crab meat. Chilean Sea bass was moist and the sauce we chose (garlic I think) was good and provided the seasoning it needed, but the portion was very small for $25 (the small sized entrée but it was way too small) and we expected a crispy skin prep but it was a skinless fillet..The swordfish entree was disappointing. The accompanying pumpkin ravioli was absolutely delicious, but the grilled swordfish was dry and two mushroom ravioli were substituted on the bottom of my plate--not ordered--not mentioned--not good. All entrees came with a standard succotash side which was hard beans (edamame? lima) and corn. It really didn't pair well with any of our dishes, and would have been much better as a stewed tomato and okra version of succotash. The apple martini was fantastic. Waiter was pleasant and attentive. Not too noisy--easy to carry on a conversation. The restaurant was quite dark, my dinner partner complained of tired eyes which mysteriously disappeared once we exited the restaurant, and another guest was using her phone flashlight to view the menu...I guess it might work for a romantic dinner date tho. read more

Since my recent dining experience, Bone Fish has lost two stars. The reason is the noticeable difference in the way the food is being cooked. My mother and I went to BF for a nice weekend dinner. While the restaurant had been running a three course special (which was what prompted us to go), we ordered our usual favorite, the imperial fish consisting of tilapia fish with seafood stuffing. The sides accompanying the fish were green beans and jasmine rice. Our server was kind enough but fell short of some things of a greater server (e.g. checking up, asking for things needed). When we ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer, that was delectable. Once we received our entree, the fish was noticeably different than our last visits. The tilapia was hot but very watery, almost tasted undercooked. The seafood stuffing was lukewarm and unappetizing. As per the sides, the green beans were horrible. We didn't want this choice of vegetable, because it would've been an up charge for substituting so we compromised for there seasonal vegetable. I don't think this was a fair compromise since not everyone wants to eat green beans. Why not broccoli? The rice were anything but generous, it was literally a teaspoon. We notified our server and she agreed that it was a small amount and bought us a bowl of rice each. The manager came over because of complaint about the fish and was very unaccommodating due to our feelings of dissatisfaction and disservice. She asked to reheat what we were eating which sounds odd since the fish tasted undercooked. I don't know but if I'm spending money for meals that is over $20+ I don't want my food microwaved, I could do that at home. Nonetheless, the experience was noticeably different maybe because of new cook or new management. Kind of sad. read more

No complaints, except for the hour-long wait that Saturday evening we chose to eat there, but once we were seated, the service, the food, and the ambiance of the place itself were good. Went for dinner last night! Split the bang bang shrimp which is always amazing. My boyfriend got the ribeye with white truffle Mac and cheese (so good). He really enjoyed it but couldn't finish it because such a large portion. I got the special, jumbo shrimp stuffed with lobster. So good and surprisingly so filling. My husband made reservation for Feb.14th Valentine's Day, 10 days prier. He called the day before to confirm our 7:00 seating. When we got there we were told(like everyone else coming in) it would be over an hour to be seated, that they overbooked. The place was packed like sardines. So this evening I was made to feel like an absolute idiot by the manager. We had dinner at the bar and when the check arrived it did not reflect our happy hour tab. Being the honorable people we are we pointed this out to the bartender. She then charged us the correct amount but offered no discount for our honesty. When we mentioned this to her she got her manger who chastised us for wanting to be comped for our honesty. The rest of the folks at the bar commented to us about our honest approach.Too bad management didn't feel the same way as it was their mistake! So much for honesty! Meh. Consider me a bit underwhelmed. Took the family here for dinner and we arrived early as the Yelp reviewers had recommended. We were seated immediately and overall, service was good. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp (per Yelp reviews again) and it was OK. Not fantastic. It tasted like fried shrimp with winger sauce and mayo. I could make that at home. For entrees, The Hubs ordered the mahi mahi with mango salsa. The salsa was good, but the mahi had hardly any flavor itself. I ordered the special -- wolf fish "stuffed" with shrimp, lump crab, and capers. Whew, it was a very rich dish. It wasn't stuffed, but more like sauced over and mushy. When I think about ordering fish, the flavor should be clean and light. This was like soupy mush that overpowered the fish, which was very tasty after I scraped the sauce off. Three bites in, I asked for a glass of water because I got so thirsty from the dish (I was drinking a beer) and the water never came. We paid and left. So, service was relatively good, except for the forgotten water. It did appear that all the servers and bartenders worked well as a team helping each other out (I'm former service industry myself so I notice this kind of thing). Menu has some nice choices. I liked that they had a decent kids menu. Interesting that their "vegetable" that came with every dish was garbanzo beans (I love them), which were also OK but could have been better if they were roasted! But very disappointed with the sauce/topping choices. If I were to go again, I'd ask for it on the side so I could add a little at a time, and I suggest you do the same if you like the natural taste of a fish. I haven't decided if we will return; as far as seafood restaurants go, I'd say this place is average. read more

It took our server 15m to get to our table and 15 more for bread (which I feel should be out within 10m: every meals comes with bread). The food is flavorful (not just plain fish - although you can order it that way).I got the Monaco Dory with artichokes. Very tasty but lots of butter (watch out dieters!). The sides were great, particularly the salad. Service was attentive and prices reasonable - especially the half price house wine from 4-6pm in the main restaurant (not just bar). Yes, I know it's a chain restaurant, but honestly it's Fab-ooh! Aside from long waits for a table in a little bar area that is loud and they pack 'em in so tight it's nearly impossible to sit and savor a drink while waiting for that table(it's never, ever not crowded here), you can wait outside where it's a little more affable. That said, it's the only downside to this gem of a restaurant. Excellent, fresh seafood prepared in a variety of manners, all of which are tasty and make it a difficult choice. I have dreams about the Bang Bang Shrimp, as well as that terrific Asian sauce they use on their Scallops. I have also had their non-seafood dishes, and they're also delicious. Check out the Pomegranate Martini - simply heaven. Bonefish is a "must" if you live in or visit the Willow Grove area. read more

I made reservations for six at five on Friday night for a birthday dinner. We were seated right away and had a wonderful waitress named Sarah. We enjoyed Bang Bang shrimp and Imperial Tilapia. We also had sirloin and crab cake, the potatoes au gratin was delicious. The manager came over to greet our table Shawna ensuring all was well with the food and service even offering complimentary deserve to our birthday girl! This is our second visit in as many months, and it's our last. At the first, they served rotten mussels. I expect to find one bad mussel every few servings. Every 3rd was bad or rotten! I sent it back. My halibut was edible but undistinguished. Last night I had "Sashimi". It was really seared tuna, which was ok but not what it was titled. My companion had bang bang shrimp, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely cooked. Server was pleasant, friendly, but was in a rush to get our order well before drinks were served. Chop sticks had to be requested for tuna. Had to hunt down server on first visit to get the check. The bathroom was discussing!!! One stall had unflushed feces, the other needed cleaning and didn't have toilet paper, just cocktail napkins. Trash was overflowing. Even if the wait staff washed after using, I have concerns for what food they handled. I will never ever return. read more
