Came here for the first time tonight u called a hour ahead of time to make reservations. I got here on time 6:45 for my reservation was seated immediately by the hostess which is a +++ The waitress came over introduced herself as soon as we were seated and went over all the specials for the evening. We ordered our drinks and appetizers they came out quick and our meals were perfect. The flavors were out of this world we ordered the bang bang shrimp and the coconut shrimp appetizers awesome tasting & our entrees were delicious as well i had the Angler special shrimp cod and scallops on top of a bed of fries with cole slaw. I would reccomend this place good service great food price is just right. I will be back again. To top the night off the manager came to our table and ask us how everything was. Bonefish Grill has food that doesn't make one feel sick afterwards. Meals are automatically started with warm bread and dipping oil. We started off with the dumpling appetizer. Came with 6. It hit all the Asian salt sensors. Next, the Mahi Mahi Oscar special was good. The fish was the star of the dish, and done well. Tender and tasty. I think I'd avoid the au gratin and get another side next time. My wife had the scallops. They were not seared for some reason, so it gave them a weird chewiness. Her vegetables were better though. Service was friendly. They all wear white chef jackets. We would go again. So glad not to feel nauseous after a restaurant. read more

We frequent the Bonefish in North Wales, and haven't had a bad experience there ever. We happened to be headed to Willow Grove and figured we'd try this location since we were in the area. We made a reservation for 5 guests and were seated immediately upon arrival. The hostess was very pleasant. Our server came over quickly and offer to place an order for drinks and apps. Unfortunately, it was all down hill from there. The kids received their drinks fairly quickly, but no straws. Then our apps were delivered- with no share plates. We ordered shrimp cocktail, bang bang shrimp, and calamari. We liked that there was no lettuce under the calamari, however you could tell the fryer oil needed to be changed. You could smell it and see some flecks in it. My daughter even commented that it smelled like someone was smoking (it was just the calamari). The bang bang shrimp suffered a little of the same residual fryer oil, however it's tossed in sauce, so it masks it a bit. Aside from that, it was consistent with the North Wales location. The shrimp cocktail was good as well, and came with a traditional cocktail sauce and a mayo based sauce. A few minutes later, someone else delivered my husband's drink, but not mine. We requested share plates from that server. After about 10 minutes, our server came over to check on us and we let him know about my drink as well as requesting some water. He came back a few minutes later with my drink, but no water and proceeded to take our dinner order. With the dinner order we ordered an additional round of drinks for the kids, as they had finished their first round already. Fast forward about 25 minutes and all our drinks are empty, our app plates are at the end of the table empty, and we still have no water when our server comes back to check on us and asks if everything is ok. We ask again for the kids drinks, our water, and now another round of cocktails for us. He leaves without clearing ANYTHING from the table, leaving 5 dirty glasses, plates and silverware all there still. Finally, someone else comes and clears the dirty dishes. We requested water from him as well. About 10 minutes later, our entrees are delivered. We had ahi tuna - no temp was taken (we would have preferred rare, as most tuna is served, but it arrived very well done), Parmesan crusted trout, which was consistently delicious; Salmon- again, great portion and a beautiful piece of fish; Mahi-mahi and shrimp combo- the shrimp was perfectly cooked, but the fish was very over done and dry. For sides, the mashed potatoes were great (honestly, lighter and more flavorful than the North Wales location), sautéed spinach, creamed spinach, asparagus, and Caesar salad that were all good. The only miss was the bacon Mac and cheese. It actually would have been better without bacon, and this girl loves her some bacon. Again we requested drinks and water from our server. He finally delivered drinks a few minutes into our entrees, but no straws and only 2 waters. Thankfully, the lovely individual who cleared the app plates arrived with additional waters and straws. When our server returned, we requested a few to-go boxes and the check. He returned with the boxes and the check inside, just as a slip of paper, no check holder. We paid, and he returned the check to us again without a check holder. Also, upon further inspection, we realized that we were billed for the premium alcohol in our drinks without ever having asked for it (at a $3 up charge per drink). Don't get me wrong, the drinks were delicious, but it's still completely wrong to up-charge without asking. At the end of the day, the service was pretty terrible and the food was mediocre at best. When we got there we were seated immediately and everyone was very pleasant. The food is amazing. I absolutely love the bang bang shrimp. You can get them as an appetizer or the bang bang shrimp tacos. We also got the crab fries. They are really good but they were a little stingy on the crab. A very disappointing meal. After being seated, we were served bread with oil - very nice. Then we proceeded to wait 40 minutes for our entrees to come out. After 30 minutes I was ready to just give up & go home. Our waitress (Eva) finally came out at 35 minutes to tell us the entrees were almost ready. I could understand if the restaurant was crowded, but it was pretty empty. Food was bland & tasteless. Rainbow trout had no spices or anything, just grilled with a lonely piece of lemon next to it. (I had requested it to be grilled in & with lemons -no butter). Rice was bland. Broccoli was a soggy mess. When we were just about finished eating, the waitress came to ask if everything was ok. A tad bit late for that....We were finished eating and waited another 20 minutes to get the check. There was only one other table with customers, so I have no idea where the waitress disappeared to. Disappointing is an understatement. The service was terribly slow! Waitress kept disappearing. Starting from our slow drink order to the food. We sat mostly waiting. We had to go find our own utensils. Waitress didnt give it to us from the start and when we asked for some when some food finally arrived- she again disappeared. I will not speak to the food BUT a major complaint. The restaurant was maybe 60% full when I went in last night at 7:30 PM. The hostess, I asked her name when I left, she said it was Blessing, placed me at the back of the restaurant I by my lonesome. I let it go to see what would happen. It turns out she placed at a table where she knew that no waiter had been assigned. I waited as all the employees walked past me numerous times. 15 minutes went by until someone approached me. At that point the service was wonderful by the waitress and the server who profusely apologized. My complaint is to the hostess. Where does she get off doing this!! Dined here last week because we received a buy one get one entrée coupon in the mail! Woohoo. It was a Thursday, and we had to wait a bit to get seated. First of all, the place was absolutely frigid. Bring a sweater...PLEASE!!! Once we got seated, things started getting much better. We were quickly brought some bread - the olive oil mix is awesome. Don't skip the bread. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer - it's so good. We rarely eat shellfish, but this is amazing. I ordered the ahi tuna, and my husband ordered the trout. The ahi tuna was a bit disappointing, to be honest. I ordered it seared rare, and it was definitely overcooked. However, it was still tasty. The rice that came with it was also great. My husband absolutely loved the trout. We'll definitely come back again. It's not a cheap place, but the food is good. I took my father to this new restaurant on Father's Day. While he loved it, I was not too thrilled. Because we did not make a reservation, we had an hour and a half wait to be seated. The atmosphere was crowded and noisy, though the dcor was nice. I will admit that the appetizer Bang Bang Shrimp was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Also the bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. But the entree's were nothing special. I had the pork chops and found them to not be flavorful all the way through. The sides were pretty good though. While my father raved that the Key Lime pie was the best that he ever tasted, I found it to be almost overbearingly tart. I suppose it all boils down to personal preference. My mother pestered me for years, I tell you years (and I am not exaggerating) to go here. I didn't want to.. The apetizzer is so good, we had Bang, Bang Shrimp, it is spicy but it is very tasty. it is served on a bed of chopped lettuce with chop sticks (I played with those chop stcks for 2 minutes before I picked up my fork). The Main Course... When my Imperial Fin (Tilapia in a lemon caper sause with shrimp and crap meat) came... I was expecting an taste orgasm and I was not disappointed. It was perfect succulate. The portion size is good. I was also able to take home a nice size for leftovers. Vegetables were good also, seasonal vegatables come along with the side. Dessert... We had gotten a chocolate brownie, with raspberry sauce.. now I can't remember the name for a reason, for me this was so-so. it wasn't bad.. it just wasn't a "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under" (Outback's chocolate brownie dessert). Me and my girlfriend went here for our anniversary dinner after she has always told me how much she loves it. I ordered the sea bass and she got her usual favorite. After getting our meals we started eating. My sea bass was very chewy and almost had a scallop like consistency to it. I didn't think anything of it as I have never had it before and I thought that was just how it's supposed to he cooked. Well after we got home and for the next 48 hours i was NOT feeing food at all. I was throwing up and had the chills all night long. After talking to a few of my Delaware friends who eat seafood regularly they said that sea bass was WAY undercooked and should've flaked off like normal fish does. Took my wife and stepdaughter out here for the wife's birthday. First time there. Very impressed with the entire operation. Fish is fresh and very flavorful. I had shrimp with scallops, we also had fish'n'chips and fish tacos. Great appetizers, calamari and lobster stuffed shrimp....very very tasty and cooked perfect!! I waited about 20 minutes for someone to refill my beverage after I placed the order. After the server dropped the check off she never returned. We waited 15 minutes and then I finally had to walk up front to have someone else help. There was an item on the receipt which we ordered but never received. They were very friendly about removing the item and reprinting the receipt but it took about 10 minutes. We both ordered a salad before our entrée and mine came 10 mins before my friends. we had to ask about that. Then our food came out and I order the Thermidor Gnocchi because I love lobster which the menu describes as pieces Of lobster in the dish. Our experience tonight was truly disappointing. After 6 hours on the road- we were very excited for our dinner at BG! We love Bonefish Grill and can always count on superb experience from servers and never let down by the food. Tonight- the opposite. We ordered two cocktails, 2 starters, soup and salad and a bottle of wine. Cold soup and salad (wonderful) came out first. 15 minutes later after flagging down someone they brought us a room temperature $70 bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay. When questioned about the temperature we were informed that they kept it on display not in the cooler. We politely asked for another wine that was appropriated cooled. We were brought a nearly as warm bottle. Had to ask another passing by server for a wine sleeve/cooler. Annoyed by this we opted not order our main meal. One positive, the bartender Chris was extremely polite. We took the rest of our warm wine with us and called it a night. Clearly, the management at this BG is 100% sub par. My friends surprised me here at this location last night for my 21st, the ambiance and the vibe was so chill, relaxing and fancy all at the same time. We had a really adorable server I forgot her name but she had the prettiest eyelashes! She was very patient with us and made sure we took all the time that we needed to tour the menu and was able to confidently answer any questions or concerns that we had. did take some time to catch our server on the floor despite it not being that crowded but that was not something that stood out too much. The food was good, bang bang shrimp is one of the best appetizers aside from the calamari. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp, I asked for medium and got more of a medium rare, I didn't mind because I'm more of a red meat person anyways but do keep that in mind when you order from this location! The shrimp was amazing. Complimented the sirloin very well. The fries were very good as well. All the dishes we ordered for the table had an amazing appearance and was very well put together. Pineapple martini was so good, perfect citrus mix. The desserts were good! the lava cake is a must! It's very rich so I suggest sharing it with your table. The servers signed a little card and gave me a complimentary bang bang shrimp coupon for my birthday which I thought was So sweet. Stopped in for a quick bite after Christmas shopping we started with Martinis & appetizers, Calamari & Bang Bang Shrimp are always my favorites unfortunately this trip my calamari was undercooked. She loves the asparagus because they are steamed but still crisp,sorry I didn't pay attention to what type of fish she picked but I know she cleaned her plate, I'll ask her and update this post. However, there is a very nice bar area for drinks & they will serve you food there as well. We had the incredibly fresh Sea Bass with Pan Asian sauce- I would definitely order it again. Me & my husband split the salmon & asparagus salad & our Sea Bass entree- Plenty of food- we brought home leftovers! I don't like a lot of sauces on my seafood, and the kitchen will prepare your fish in a variety of different styles, including just grilled. Also, there was food on a shelf by the window. The floor was so sticky that mine and my guest feet were sticking. if not for these things I would've given the place a 5. This was our first time at this Bonefish since I live in Palm Beach Florida and the Bonefish by us is immaculate. Need to resolve these issues. read more
