I have been frequenting Bonfire Burritos since they were a small food truck in Golden. Now they have a brick and mortar store in Golden near its downtown and one in Arvada close to me! I don't know what took me so long to check it out but I'm glad I finally did. This location is super cool. It still has the same feeling of the original Bonfire inside like you are camping or in the mountains somewhere but this location has a large outdoor area with a play area for children as well. The parking lot is spacious and can fit a good amount of cars. The burritos are still FIRE! So good. I like the Javelina and especially like that the fuego option is actually a little spicy. I can handle spice so fuego is actually probably really spicy to some. The Javelina has a nice balance of spice, sweet, and savory. I do think it's a bit too pricey for what it is. $18 all in for a burrito is steep so I won't go often but I'll go every now and then for a treat! read more

4 stars -- when they're on, it's a 5-star burrito, but they're not always on Bonfire makes the best breakfast burritos I've ever had -- not just in Colorado, but especially in Colorado, where the green chile really matters. When everything comes together, it's outstanding: incredibly flavorful green chile, crispy high-quality bacon, and hash browns that hit the perfect intersection of moist, tender, crispy, and crunchy. One of my favorite details is that they let the burrito sit on the hot plate long enough for the tortilla to get a little crispy, which takes it from "great breakfast burrito" to "why don't all breakfast burritos do this?" The staff is also incredible. You can tell there's a good culture and atmosphere there, and that makes a real difference. People seem happy to be working there, and it comes through in the experience. I also really appreciate the setup at this location. Some of the tables have chairs with backs, which is a big deal for someone like me with back pain -- much more comfortable than the usual backless seating. They also have a great outdoor area for seating and play, which adds a lot to the overall vibe. The only reason I'm at 4 stars instead of 5 is consistency. Most of the time, the burritos are excellent. But maybe a third of the time, something is off. The biggest issues are unevenly mixed ingredients -- one end all hash browns, the other mostly egg and bacon -- not enough filling, or bacon that comes out soggy instead of crispy. Less severe, but still noticeable, is when the burrito doesn't spend enough time on the hot plate and misses that crispy tortilla magic. I've been coming in less often lately because the consistency issues seem to have gotten worse. On my most recent visit, my first burrito was mixed very unevenly, and the replacement I paid for unfortunately had very little filling. That was disappointing, especially because I know how great Bonfire can be when everything is dialed in. Still, when Bonfire is firing on all cylinders, it's one of the best breakfast burritos anywhere. I just wish it hit that level every time. read more

Always loved this franchise - and this location started out strong - only to begin to go downhill recently. Last couple visits they did not have their "burrito butter" for customers (which is the primary reason many of my friends and I love going there) - and also, their signature coffees were served lukewarm? This place was poppin' on a Saturday morning around 9am. Lots of people with little kids running around playing in the outdoor area. Lots of dogs and even a cat! Everybody was really friendly and the cashier taking orders was super nice. They were so busy, but he still took the few extra seconds to make conversation while we ordered and paid. That's the kind of customer service and decency that makes you really love a spot and want to come back regularly. I got a cappuccino and the jackalope (vegetarian) burrito. My husband had a Lasso (iced) and the Chupacabra (chorizo) burrito. For my burrito I opted for the little giant size, which was perfect for me. Mild spice level was also perfect, as the fire roasted hatch chiles gave it the perfect spice and flavor level. My hubbie got the bigger size and had to take the rest of his home. He did 50/50 spice and thought that was perfect for him. His iced coffee drink was super yummy! We'll be back! read more

Now if you visit any coffee shop in the Denver metro and they serve a breakfast burrito, odds are it's a Bonfire burrito. For a prepackaged product it's tough to beat. But nothing compares to getting it made fresh in front of you! CHUPACABRA // Made with All-Natural Chorizo, All-Natural Sausage, Nitrate-Free Bacon, House-Made Chipotle Crema, All-Natural Cheddar Cheese, Homemade Green Chile, Vital Farms Pasture-Raised Eggs, and Hash Browns. So hard, I could give a 3+ I could give a 4-. I was warned that it was expensive. I was warned that it was extremely children friendly. I was warned that it was very busy on the weekends. And I still came out on a weekend morning and you know what, it was busy as hell. And there were a lot of kids, and goddamn I feel like spending $25 just on myself for a burrito and a fancy coffee seems like a lot. And it is. But, everything is kind of expensive these days. The service was really good. The staff were super friendly. My burrito was rather amazing. And the coffee ... well maybe not quite what I was hoping for, but still pretty good. I had a large Classic with sausage. And a Badger's Lasso. Who, and make sure you grab some burrito butter. I took some extra and wound up, putting it on quite a few other things that I cooked at home. And I went with a four, because service and quality trump price almost every time. read more

Super long wait. I suggest ordering ahead and picking up. Also, the parking lot was full, so I had to park a couple of blocks away. Their website needs some work. I couldn't be certain I was ordering a full-size burrito, so I chose to order in person. That was a mistake, as the line was out the door and did not move fast. The wait was even longer after my order was placed. The burrito was not good. The Bonfire in Golden is 5-stars all around. This one in Arvada, I think they need to work some of the kinks out. Ordered the Chupacabra and the bacon was burnt, bad. Like, the bacon pieces were like little rocks that tasted like charcoal. It was unpleasant. I did order the Mama Cecelia which was great. I am giving 3-stars. If I had never been to a Bonfire Burrito, it would be zero, and I would never go back. I plan on returning as the Bonfire in Golden is one of my favorite spots. Huge fan! I had only ever tried Bonfire at the farmers market so when they had their community day I had to check it out. I got the chupacabra and use the burrito butter to enhance. The coffee was also delicious and not too sweet. Staff was friendly and happy to be there. The interior had plenty of space as well as an outdoor area to hang out in. I've been eating Bonfire Burritos since they were just a small trailer operation by the Golden King Soopers so I was very excited to see that they've expanded to a new location in Arvada. Off the bat, one thing ive noticed is that the price of the burritos has definitely gone up ($15! I remember when they used to be $8). The only good thing that way is that the burritos are packed full of protein so it's not the worst value. Secondly, this Arvada location is only serving the breakfast variant of their burritos which is why they got the 4 star and not 5. Their breakfast burritos are tasty but I enjoy their lunch burritos more so this was dissapointing for sure. The staff are incredibly friendly so I'm glad that they are doing a good job hiring the right personnel to keep their brand going strong. The new restaurant is much more spacious than their Golden location. There is a larger area to sit down or for the guests waiting on their to go orders. And the outdoor patio area has been done up really nicely. It's definitely a great place to spend a Saturday morning with some friends grabbing a nice brunch. I am so happy Bonfire is expanding. The first time I ever went to Bonfire was when they had a trailer in Golden. And now that this location is less than 10 minutes from our house. It makes us so happy! We've done take out a few times since they opened but last week, we dined in for the first time. We met up with our friends who also have kids so we just let the kids play in the open patio. I love how kid friendly it is. They can plan with legos, cars and even the slide. It was a busy Sunday morning as expected. But it was perfect for the kids. They got to run around while the adults chatted. The food is always amazing. Cant complain! So happy to have a bonfire in the neighborhood. read more

I just felt I was treated poorly as a black man at predominantly white establishment. Everyone who got their food before me had their food placed in a bag. Also all the other customers were offered napkins I was not. It felt like more of a hassle than convenient coming to your place. I thought this place was more progressive than this. New favorite breakfast spot! It has something for everyone! It has alcoholic beverages, coffee, large patio, games, family and dog friendly and great burritos. Seriously, this patio is a godsend for parents that are just trying to enjoy a meal! My kid could spend hours here. There is a monster truck play table, basketball hoop, Lego/building blocks, cornhole etc. The only negative was when your food is ready, they just scream your name on the patio. It is very hard to hear because the patio is big and crowded. I could tell the workers were getting annoyed because they would have to yell someone's name 3 plus times for them to hear. I went here for the first time last week and I loved it! I had seen Bonfire burritos in the frozen section at King Soopers but I wanted to go to their restaurant to try them for the first time. The staff were incredibly nice and efficient. I think I waited about 2 or 3 minutes for a burrito bowl and an Americano. They have some indoor seating and a huge patio. My burrito bowl was very enjoyable and I like that they offer the option to order a burrito in a bowl, without the tortilla. My Americano was very tasty as well! I had read other reviews saying that this place can get really busy but it wasn't that busy when I visited, at 2:00 on a Sunday. I will definitely be back! read more

Shane at the pickup window is always so pleasant and is able to keep a large, hungry crowd in order with a smile. Finally got to stop in. We have had their burritos before that were sold at coffee shops. We got in around 8am before the rush started which I highly recommend. Lines can form on the weekends and busy times. The burritos are amazing, not too much potato, they are well balanced and pack flavor. The bacon is crispy which is great. Their sauces are HOT, the original pairs well with the burritos. The latte was delicious, I got a disco bisco and it was not too sweet but the cinnamon was delightful. Ah, I wish I could reply to some of these negative reviews because this place is incredible! It's a LOCAL business that is using fresh ingredients and is so loved that yes, there's lines. But I promise it's worth the wait!!! First the horchata oat milk latte is the best I've had in Colorado. After living on them in Tucson, I have not been able to find a good one in Colorado until now. Some mornings I order 2 for myself just to get my fix. The burritos are absolutely incredible. We love the chupacabra and the pineapple jalapeño one. We always get the original size and split them. But you could probably split one original between two people. I appreciate and love how family friendly this places with their large outdoor kid play area. It gives parents a chance to enjoy their coffee and have a moment to sit. There are four ways to order so you can order online, at the takeout window, inside through the main entrance, or outside at the walk up window near the large green space. It's hip, it's cool and trendy, It's also a rip off. Strong words I know but it's true. I wanted to try it though. I went in the afternoon close to close during the week. Ordered at the counter and they text you when it's ready. Small indoors and huge patio for socializing. Meeting your friends? Yeah, they will like it. I waited about 20 minutes for my burrito to go. A lot of quality ingredients and I will say hats off from small time, family owned going big in Arvada. I like supporting locals. You can stay after 2pm (closing time) but they do lock the front door so cooks can clean up and go home. A lot of staff standing around in back for sure. I love a good breakfast burrito, so I was excited to try Bonfire when I heard that's what they specialized in. It looks like the Arvada location only serves breakfast, but I'm not complaining. We ordered little giants of the chorizo, carne asada, and chupacabra with 50/50 spice chile. We enjoyed the taste a lot! I love that they include hash browns in the burrito. It really brings it all together. What we didn't love as much was there a little less meat ratio-wise to everything else. Just a little more would've made a big difference. The overall size of the burrito is also on the smaller side. I know we ordered the smaller size, but at $10, I would hope it's bit bigger. We did a pickup order and there's a separate window accessible from the outside which was so convenient! I love a well thought out pick up flow. We didn't try the coffees this time around, but they sound delicious and we'll likely try it the next time. The outdoor space is super cute and kid-friendly. Living in Arvada I had to give it a try. Got 2 burritos to try, the Classic and Chupacabra to compare. I guess there are several types of breakfast burritos out there and I found both kind of average. Both tasted the same and not much difference. I thought they were bland and need more kick. There are many people who love their burritos. Over a year ago, tried the location in Golden and order two burritos, but I can't remember what they were. Not much has changed between each location, both times the burritos we're average and nothing stood out. I will continue on my search for another good breakfast burrito other than the place that the family loves which I will not mention.
