Chupacabra (Original) with extra cheese and chipotle crema... Nitro Cold Brew
Mark G.

As a certified Breakfast Burrito connoisseur, literally one of my all time fav foods, how could I visit Golden and not check out Bonfire Burritos. Loved the vibe of this place and the guy who took my order was super cool and chill. Upon studying the menu, I instantly appreciated that they include hash browns and a sauce INSIDE the burrito. Cannot stand a dry and eggy breakfast burrito. Plus the crisp and crunch of the hash browns always adds another dimension to the experience. My chupacabra with extra cheese and chipotle crema had outstanding flavor and checked so many boxes. My only issue with it is that I didn't get the crunch from the hash browns that I was hoping for and the texture inside the burrito was a bit soupy/mushy. Maybe that's because of the extra crema. No biggie. I totally recommend this place and if we ever come back to Golden, I'm definitely giving Bonfire another go. Oh and if you're a fan of all things spicy, get it Fuego. Wasn't too bad for me on the heat but the flavor was great!

Quick service, great food. The patio area is lovely! Portion sizes are actually pretty perfect for breakfast, I think. I got the original size breakfast bowl and it was the right amount of food to feed me without feeling overstuffed

The last but not least food stop before heading back home to Vegas. This place seemed a little bit off the beaten path but was well worth it. Another place with a nice size communal outside seating area. The guy behind the counter seemed like a manager or long time employee a powered us through, in a good way through all the options being our first time. Just by the name I had to go with the chupacabra "hot" and boy did it hit the spot. Two sizes of burritos and the original was great size. Great flavor, great food, great spot and will definitely come back to this southwestern style burritos with killer green chile.

If you are hungry in Golden and craving something flavorful, filling, and fast, Bonfire Burritos is the place to go. We ordered two of their signature burritos. The Chupacabra and the Javelina, both with a medium level of heat. They were incredible. Each bite was packed with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of spice. The medium heat added a really nice kick without taking away from the overall flavor. The ordering process was easy and pickup was quick. Even with a steady line of customers, the staff kept everything moving with friendly energy. The portions are generous and truly hit the spot after exploring the area. The branding is fun and eye catching too. The labeled foil wraps and bag make the experience feel thoughtful from start to finish. Five stars from us. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in Golden.

Food was so delicious service was amazing and ambiance was so chill It's my first time in Colorado and if I come back I'd come back here again. The burritos have a lot of flavor.

Worth the hype. We drove by and saw it was crowded and decided we had to check it out. I had grandma's margarita and it was an interesting margarita with some peach schnapps. I had the Jackalope burrito which was a no meat burrito and it was a delicious burrito! My only warning: I am someone that regularly eats Frank's hot sauce on everything, they ask mild, medium or hot and I got my burrito as "medium". It was great flavor but my lips were burning and it was pretty smokin hot. Unless you eat like habanero sauce, I would highly recommend mild. Epic place to stop after touring the Coors brewery .

Great burritos, finally got to try it from the restaurant! Picked some up to-go after yoga on red rocks and they were ready in 20min! Jackalope was our favorite but the deluxor packed a nice spicy kick! Parking is tricky and there isn't very much especially during busy times. Hope you get lucky or catch a break on side roads. If you're new (like I was), pick up orders are on the outdoor patio side! The guy at the Pick up counter (inside) won't make eye contact with you or help unless he calls your name so don't bother. Regular customers are kind enough to assist however. Besides some poor customer service, it's a nice location to grab a quick breakfast after a workout, hike, walk, etc.

Really good burrito and coffee! The service was quick and the decor is so unique. The menu options are all pretty similar, so it'd be nice to see just a couple different burrito options, maybe an all day breakfast burrito. The seating area didn't seem to be maintained well throughout the day, but that wouldn't stop me from returning. This is a cool spot!

Bonfire Burritos ... WOW! We were traveling up i70 and searched for burritos along the route. A short detour through Golden (which is a super cute town) brought us to Bonfire. It has an unpretentious indoor outdoor vibe going on. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. What we got: - Javelin (spicy) - I was on the fence about this one. Although I love smoked pork I was worried the pineapple would make it too sweet. Spoiler, the flavors were perfect. I'd recommend this one 100%. - Classic (chicken, med spicy) - this one wasn't bad by any stretch but I'd choose a different protein next time. The pork in the Javelin was better. - Burrito butter - this is a house made condiment they have available. It's vinegary and adds a nice brightness. Their style of burrito is unique. I can only describe it as "microwave burrito" style. Which doesn't mean they aren't delicious, they are, just that the internals are more homogeneous than other burritos I've had. I'll be back to try their breakfast burritos, for sure! They also have alcohol and happy hour deals.

Hands down the best breakfast burritos we've ever had! This was one of the first places I saved for our trip to Golden and I'm so glad I did! The burritos come in 2 sizes and we like variety so of course, we ordered 3 small ones. They are packed with protein and other ingredients so they really filled us up! I couldn't even finish my portion. We loved the chorizo in the Chupacabra with the green chiles, so good! The Burro was delicious with the fresh taste of peppers that really balanced the heaviness of the other ingredients. The one that surprised us the most was the Javelina! Normally I'm not a huge pineapple fan but this was SO good! The fresh pineapple combined with the chorizo was absolutely delicious. We didn't love the "burrito butter", it tasted good but I enjoyed the flavor of the burritos better. Everybody working in here was really friendly and it was definitely a fast casual type of place. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and landscape. I saw a bush rustling at my feet and there was a baby bunny hopping around!! So peaceful! It's probably a good thing that I don't live close by because a breakfast burrito hates to see me coming. I would be here literally every day.

The burritos really are great. Not the same as everywhere else, a completely unique take on burritos for the area, and they are awesome. The Burro, extra crema... I am ending this review so I can go get another one. I highly recommend! UPDATE: I have been back about 5 times since my last review and have explored the menu a bit. They are all great. Everything on the menu is top shelf. Photos are of the Chupacabra, but you can't go wrong. They are opening two new locations, and I can't wait.

Amazing burritos!! Was heading up the mountains and was craving some breakfast burritos so I found this place. Friendly staff and this place does get very busy on weekends and mornings. The burrito is very saucy! Gives a mouthful of flavor with each bite. There's option to add more of that "burrito butter" sauce as well as some "diesel drip" The burritos are a good size and has a balanced portion of meat and other fillings. Good amount of seating and was warm inside. I also got their frozen burritos. Not as saucy but makes a pretty quick and good breakfast when staying on the mountains. Would definitely come back when I'm snowboarding in Denver again!

Compostable containers. LOVE.

I've had Bonfire bookmarked for a while and we finally made our way over. Wow. It's places like Bonfire that make me happy. We both love Mexican food, especially tacos and burritos. They have both and know what they're doing. If you read through the reviews, you'll see reviews that are almost a decade old - sharing the same themes: delicious food and quick service. They've grown (of course they have!) and now have a bar, walk up ordering and lots of seating options. They are *really* well staffed - and it shows. They had a small line and lots of folks already waiting but orders were being cranked out like clockwork. We sat at the bar and just watched their well oiled machine humming along. It was fascinating. And impressive. Ordinary folks killing it. And the food? Let's start with the compostable containers and utensils - these little (but massively important) details always get my attention and given a choice to return to two equally good establishments, I'll choose the more sustainable place hands down, every time. So yes, we notice. I ordered a bowl - basically a deconstructed burrito in a bowl, original size. The Jakelope got my vote this morning but I'll be honest, there were several other combos that I wanted to try (and will try cause we'll be back). Such good flavors - especially the green chilis! My partner ordered a burrito and inhaled it. No picture but man, the flavors were fabulous and neither one of us had not one critique to share. So good. Cocktails? Yep, they have them and their bar service was great. House margs are not too likely and not too sweet. Perfect. Man, I am already thinking about a return trip. Don't bookmark Bonfire and wait like we did. You'll regret it. Go sooner than later. You're welcome in advance.

Good food! Cool environment! The heaters kept us plenty warm on the patio! They fixed their mistake when I asked.

The complimentary breakfast was also a highlight, with a nice spread of options that made it easy to start the day off right. My only suggestion would be to add carpeting in the guest rooms. We could hear footsteps and loud thumping from the room above us throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely return

Loved our drinks. The blueberry manhattan was delicious. * Free beer with token upon check in was nice. Hydration is key. * Room was simple but had nice touches. Liked the motion sensor for the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Water in the room. * Full coffee bar on the room floor when you get off elevator. * Didn't get to use at night but the rooftop areas looked nice. At least in the morning for coffee they were * Fancy cupcakes and bubbly in the fridge was a nice surprise. The hand written welcome note was a nice touch. * Included continental breakfast had a decent breakfast burrito, parfaits, waffles and cereals. * free easy to connect WiFi * Again, last minute Sunday. Checked their site for rooms and one available, booked a corner room. The hotel called a couple hours later and said there was a mistake, I really thought they were going to tell me they had no rooms. Just has a different room, that was a bit cheaper. I think the lady calling was thinking we would be mad, it was all good. They handled it great. Can't really think of anything that needed to better- loved it and will stay again.
