I really enjoyed this club. Personally, I think this club plays the best music. If i remember correctly, there's 2 dance floors that play different music. One dance floor has a wall of tv's playing music videos and a male stripper. The other floor was much larger and much more crowded but that's because the music was better. The cover charge was pretty shitty. It's an 18+ club but its $20 if you're not 21, and then I think $5 if you're over 21. I'd go back again just because the music was good. read more

Music is out dated and sounds like your listening to the radio. Lots of dance space and variety of different rooms. There is a bartender in the main dance room downstairs he has long hair and is the worst bartender ever! We waiting 10 min patiently for a drink and he serviced other people and it wasn't just us that had a issue with him. That will be my last time going. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to get here, but I'm eternally grateful I finally got around to it! Cheap, strong drinks, non-stop music, multiple rooms for attention deficit dancers, and the most laid-back crowd in town. Show up in a prom dress or pajamas--either way, nobody's judging! This was the final stop on my little sister's downtown bachelorette party bar crawl, and the only worthwhile venue we visited. Upon arrival, she (sweet and innocent though she may be) instantly upgraded me from "slut" to "hobag", which I assume means she was pleased. Although she and a few of her more retiring girlfriends were frightened by the near-nekkid men in banana hammocks pole-dancing in the front room, we easily scored a platform in the packed back room and got groovy until last call. Last I checked, there's no cover before 10PM on the weekends, and well drinks are a DOLLAR on Wednesdays, making the Bonham a cost-effective option for total annihilation. read more

Nice ambiance and good drinks. My only issue was that I was overcharged for my drinks and and the staff is not very customer-oriented, so they gave me a hard time before they fixed my tab. I'd recommend you close your tab every time, don't trust them with your money. read more

It's actually more like a gay club, but this is good experience since they have good music, rock DJ, and more people enjoying it. The entrance is only 5$ for each, but you have to pay for the parking. I paid 15$ which is suck, but have to since their location is at downtown SA. Love the atmosphere. Club was fun. My husband and I have been a few times. This particular time though we stayed until 2am and then the madness happened. At 2:00am they closed the bar. On google they advertise they are open until 4pm. I have never been to a bar or club that closes the bar 2 hours early. That was a slight turn off but not the end of the world. What really pissed me off was the bar hop that came up to my husband and told him he needed to finish his beer now. She stood there and waited for him to chug his beer. That was just ridiculous to me. It was rude and unusual. They need to consider changing their advertising. read more

Dang I miss this place. One of the spots we use to hit up when I was stationed in Lackland AFB, Hooyah Air Force! Dance floors are huge, 3 stories and 3 separate rooms with their own themes, always packed but there's plenty of space, and we never really had a bad time when we come here. There are days that Military members gets in for free, i love that. But yeah I miss this place, will definitely visit when I come back to San Antonio. HUA! read more

My partner and I are from Austin but were in San Antonio this week on vacation. We decided to check out Bonham on a Wednesday night. We figured it would be dead but the $1 drink special lured us out. When we arrived we found out that only one of it's many bars was open since it was a week night. After settling in for a few drinks the staff was very hospitable. The door guy even took us on a tour of the historc building. A few of the locals took us in and we had a blast. We will be going back to Bonham. Highly reccommended!! read more

Well wife and I was having a alright time at TBA and got convinced by my friend to head over to Bonham for a VIP party and I was a little skeptical cause the last time I went I experienced rudeness from a younger crowd that can't control their testerone or alcohol which making them stupid and a false belief they are bullet prove and I know it a whole different time of era cause I used to come here 25 years ago and was lot younger and always had a great time,but why is it that I have good time elsewhere even with a young crowd atmosphere?The dance floor gets very crowded and hot and word of advice I left to get some drinks and when returning back my wife tells she must have got rubbed up several times so she got off the floor stay with your woman,also if your a jealous guy or women your better half will get hit on and if looking for fight you will get one and then get thrown out by security so stay close to your better half. Drinks suck cause bartenders are pressured on just getting you out of the way quick cause the alcohol craze crowd are impatient and want their freaking drinks but this is only on crowded nights. Anyways this place is a meat market dress fine and dance and you will hook up,there are several areas with three floors and the place is huge just be careful the crowd can get a little crazy towards midnight and you have all types of people here from your transformers,bi's,gays,swingers and of course your heterosexuals all on Friday and Saturday nights. I will stick to my reg places like Brass Monkey,TBA,divey bars and every now and then places like Paramore or Rolling Oaks bar and grill to check out live bands.Give a try and find out for your selfs cause you will never know until you go,also like to note which I don't blame the club,but my friend's car window got busted and she looked so cute crying cause she was dressed up as cat in hat but I think she was so anxious to go to the club that she forgot to put her make up bag in the trunk so put all your stuff in the truck leave nothing exposed. Are you kidding me? I have to leave Phoenix and travel to San Antonio to find an urban, diverse, multi tiered club? Why, yes, in fact I do. Formerly a synagogue and now sinagogue, this club on Friday nights is da bomb. God. I can't believe I just wrote da bomb. Some things a 42 year old white man should not say. Anyway, $.75 drinks ALL night. Get crazy, avoid the lines and order a double. A whopping $1.50 and you're set for another 20 minutes! This place is HUGE. After all everything's bigger in Texas, remember. Please don't remind my San Antonio bf native of this. He tends to grab his belt buckle, bite his lip and give me a "How you doin'?" everytime this comes up. Music is different in each room and on each floor. Three levels, at least half a dozen bars, and a patio the size of the Ewing ranch. If you arrive before I believe 9 or 10, there's no cover. But also, no in and out privileges. I would love to see such a venue here in Phoenix. But, I'm happy to pack my bags and skeedaddle on down to Texas a few times a year. Where everything's bigger! OK, cut to Rickie smiling! I gave the Bonham a rating of one star because it was not possible to give it none! I went to the Bonham on the night of May 4th because my 21st birthday was on the 5th. Of course realizing this would be an issue, my party and I waited until 12:30am (ON MAY 5TH) to arrive at the club for a great celebration. Upon arriving at the door I was greeted by a VERY rude lady who was checking the ID's, she informs me that I am NOT 21 until 8am the that morning. My friends and I then tried to inquire if this was the clubs rule or something federal like a TABC thing, the lady then informed us that it was a TABC rule. When I then put a pouty face and moved to the side to regroup with my friends after a short deliberation we decided if it was a TABC thing we might as well stay there since all clubs would probably be the same. The lady then quickly rushed inside to inform ALL the staff about the event that I previously mentioned. They then proceed too mark me and allow me to enter the club. (after paying a hefty sum of 25 dollars) Needles to say my 21st birthday was RUINED. The next day I inquisitively emailed the TABC and asked if this "not 21 until 8am" was a new rule and when it had come into effect, seeing as no one remembered this, or had ever even heard of it. The TABC then responded that no such guideline existed or at least one that they enforced. HOWEVER whether or not this rule/regulation was true or not, they still handled my situation poorly. I never once heard a "sorry", "have fun", "we understand but,..", "happy birthday (today/tomorrow/whenever)" or much less "we hope you still have a nice night." Therefor however much fun the club may or may not be, I won't be returning anytime soon, or at least until the staff gets a new attitude make over. read more

I was already iffy going in when I had to pay a $5 cover. (Minors pay $25!!!) My friend convinced me to go in and she said she would buy the first few rounds of drinks. Elated she was to tell me they were only $2. Super cheap, right? Well, that's because they are 3/4 water. I felt nothing after 3 drinks and decided to switch to a $3 beer which was worth the extra dollar to know I was getting at least a dribble of alcohol. It was pretty busy but I was wondering if everyone was under some sort of placebo effect as I couldn't see how anyone could have been that drunk. Perhaps that's for the better, as everyone seemed ambivalent toward one another. One star because the music was awful. Room 1: fist pumping electro with a faux rave vibe. Room #2: Hip hop. The DJ in here was the best as they could atleast segue into each song smoothly. Room #3: uhhh I'm not sure the genre but it felt like I was spending a night in Brazil. There were indeed more straight people than anything but no one seemed to be hating on anyone. Perhaps due to the security guards in every room. I would never return. I felt like I wasted my money; I paid to get into a place where I just had pretty much zero fun. It felt pretty dirty in there and considering they have to be making a killing with minimal overhead, at least on the liquor, a little upkeep should be due. The bathrooms are deplorable. read more

Truly diverse with a vibe of mutual love permeating the establishment. Clearly the cops are in on it in a good way as well. Where do I start? The place was cool until I lost my keys at the end of the night. I went back up to the door with my friends and the lady standing on the outside allowed us to go back in. Well I guess she didn't communicate that with her employees standing at the door. So they proceeding to call me back since I had already got half way down the hallway. They asked what I was doing and I told them I was looking for my key's. The black lady at the door with the short hair proceeded to curse at me because she didn't like the way I responded. At any point during our conversation did I curse at her. She then held my key's hostage because she was so called "teaching me a lesson." To make a long story short, I got my Key's back but they were very disresptful. Even the fake cops they had at the door was keeping up drama. Took a lot of convincing to get my friends to go bc it was a gay club, still we went and had a BLAST!!! Its actually a mix club not just gay! Cover only $5 for 21+ but its a little pricey for 18 cover is $25!! but i guess it keeps teenie boppers from crowding the place hahaha. Drinks are Cheap and Good. Dollar vodka and cranberry!!!! I had an amazing time, went two nights in a row!!! The place was actually roomy to dance to since 3 different rooms. One with strippers/male dancers. Hip hop room and Top 40/Dance room!!! My Friends and Family had a blast. My 21yr old daughter and I said it reminded us of a club in NYC called Webster Hall... Everyone is nice and keeps to themselves.. This place got really good reviews so my husband and I decided to go on our recent trip to San Antonio. It wasn't quite what I expected. THey have 3 different dance rooms that were pretty cool. The one right when you walk in to the left is the smallest of the rooms and that room plays all kinds of music, spanish, pop, top 40s, and rock. The room to the back on Friday night played mainly popish/fistpumping techno kind of music and on Sat had a DJ from the radio doing the music that kind of was the same kind of music with a more modern twist to it. The top floor is the hip hop room. Both nights were really lonely. Not sure if people knew about the room or not but was lonley. The music in the hip hop room was good but just very lonely. The drinks were good and cheap and the building itself is beautiful. read more

Definitely wouldn't recommend going if you're not 21. My friends and I (who are in the military) had a long week at work and wanted to go out and have some fun. All of us are under age so we decided to go to Bonham because it's 18+. Some of our other friends were there who ARE 21+. I was standing next to one of my guy friends who is of age. We were talking to each other and felt someone tap on our shoulders. We both turned around and were harassed by one of their security guards who claimed their undercover person saw me take a sip of his drink. As I explained to her that wasn't the case, she asked us to go downstairs with her. We both had to sign papers that said that I was a minor in possession of alcohol and I wasn't allowed back within 30 days. My other options were to not sign the paper and they would call the police, which wasn't an option for me because I would've been late for my curfew, and that is unacceptable in the military. I paid $20 to get in and get kicked out within an hour and they obtained no proof whatsoever. I asked them to check their cameras and to breathalyze me and they wouldn't. I understand that every business has to protect themselves but I was completely screwed over and there was nothing I could do. My career in the military could've been jeopardized simply because their security guards are on a power trip. read more

Well at first I was hyped about going inside. Saw a big line just to go in and heard it all night at 94.1. So we go in and the front door staff was friendly and no problems. Now here comes the worst park of the night, the bartenders. They are the worst I have experience, I guess if you don't know them they don't serve you even if your on the bar. They be taking shots with the people they know and ignore everyone else. Took 25 minutes, yes I am not kidding about this, 25 minutes for 4 fireball shots and the only reason I got it is that the group that new the bartender order them for me cause they felt bad. I thought maybe it's just this bar and nope all 3 floors I experience the worst service I have gotten in years. Also the dancing areas are so hot feels like they have forgotten the AC. Wish they could have quick bar personal and more bars open. Overall it was a C just because some bad apples make it difficult to rate it. read more
