I know things happen in the food industry but when you're sitting right next to Taco Bell and a Taco Bell food is better than your food you have something to worry about, I got a Chile Riano and it was over cook the rice was crunchy and hard and the beans were burnt on the top. When I return to the store to talk to them about it I was told no refunds. But they did offer to re-cook something different. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for the future unless they establish a better policy of quality control that's why I want to give them one star read more

I just moved to the area a few months back and this is (luckily) just down the road. I'm not a big fan of their taco Tuesday tacos but for just over a buck I can't complain. However everything else I've tried I've loved. Everything is fresh, including the chips! Definitely a great spot to get inexpensive, good, fresh Mexican food. read more

As of writing this review, I have paid for two separate burritos and have eaten neither. Both were take out orders the same night. First one was a tear in their bag and the burrito fell out into some water on the ground and became uneatable. No sympathy, made to pay for the remake. Fair enough. Second one was cold as ice halfway through. Evidentially they make no attempts to warm up anything out of the fridge, so anything like Pico and Guacamole are as such. Still no sympathy, no offers of a free soft drink or anything to help ease the pain of wasting an hour and a half and $18 on food I didn't eat. Instead I am looked at like I am crazy for expecting my cooked burrito to be hot. I don't expect free food, but at least the offer of something to help would've been nice. If you can manage to eat the food it sounds good, and at least they allowed me to switch out the last burrito for a burger at no extra cost (considering that the burger is cheaper too). Edit: having now eaten the burger and fries with it, it wasn't bad. Was actually half decent. But this is still one star, as for some reason they make a better burger joint than a Mexican place. Might even go back for the burger, although in that market there are better places to go for cheaper. read more

Went there hoping to escape the heat and enjoy some dinner but the place was SO HOT inside! We ended up getting our food to go which was a bummer but it was really good. Had some really good margaritas while we waited too. Would definitely recommend this place for to go food but not sure it'd be worth it to it inside. read more

So I've been here before and the food brought me back. HOWEVER, tonight's food was horrible! Placed my order at 710pm and didn't leave till 818. I ordered carne and pastor tacos, cheese crisp, carne burrito and cinna banditos. Carne looked like ground beef, pastor was nothing but fatty pieces ordered some of the tacos with no onions and added cheese. Carne tacos came with lots of onion and NO cheese. I was charged for cheese though. When my order was finally ready (an hour later) it wasn't even all there. So I went back inside to let the woman behind the counter know what was missing including NO salsa she didn't even seem to care. I waited another 10 minutes for my missing order. She gave me cold cheese to add to my tacos-yum delicious! Nothing like placing cold cheese on your tacos to warm in the microwave because now your food is cold from having to wait for the missing food. If you cared about your customers then she should've offered something or at least showed that she cared apologies can go a long way. The only thing that was worth eating were the cinna banditos. Those were delicious! However since I won't be back due to the quality and flavor of the food and customer service, I guess those will only be a memory. I'll stick to Tacos Califa or Mixteca for my tacos! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!! where do i even start. i walked in and from the beginning there was a women clearly served over her limit of alcohol, who was singing the music at the top of her lungs and dancing inappropriately throughout the entire restaurant while people were trying to enjoy their orders. i then ordered my food and i asked for 2 soft shredded beef tacos, and one shrimp taco a la cart, and one large drink. my total came out to a whopping $18 but i figured maybe the tacos were really great. i then made my drink and came home to see that there were only TWO shrimp in my shrimp taco, and there was about a tablespoon of meat in each of the beef tacos. they were also HARD tacos when i specifically asked for soft. not to mention the meat had NO SEASONING. AT ALL. i was reliant on the small amount of salsa i was given, and was still hungry after my meal. very upset and never going back. read more

Horrible experience. I walk in, and wait behind one other person to place my order. When it's my turn and I begin placing my order, the phone rings. The cashier doesn't say a word to me, but answers the phone and proceeds to take the phone order. Then, as she's taking my order, I have to repeat it over and over because she kept repeating the wrong thing back to me. I pay, then remember an item I forgot to order. Some guy comes out from the back, WITHOUT a mask on and takes that order. Again, I pay. There are only a couple people waiting, and I'm told it's a 10 minute wait. 10 minutes later, I come back in to pick up my order. Two other customers came back in while I was there. One was missing an item and the other asking for more salsa. So, I tell them my name and try to get my order. Cashier asked me if I already paid. I tell her yes, then she turns to some other employee and asks him if I did. He doesn't know, so tells her to look at the register to see. At this point, other customers are staring at me, thinking I'm trying to steal a $6 quesedilla. I had to stand there and wait, while people stared at me for a good minute or so, for them to tell me "yeah, you're okay to go now". I've never been so insulted in a business. I then asked if I could get extra salsa. I get home, and open the bag - for 4 dinners, their idea of extra salsa is a total of 4 small cups (literally about 2tsp each). I will say, the food tasted good. The tortillas were rubbery, though - microwave I'm sure. For the same price, you can get twice the food and decent customer service at Filly-b's. I've tried this place twice and both times I've been disappointed. The first time I had green chili burrito and it looked like dog food and it tasted like it. I gave it another shot, maybe it was better to eat there then do take out. Disappointed again!! The girls up front were super nice and that's why I'm giving 2 stars. The red chili burrito was better but still gross, the meat was good but the flavor was non-existent. The chips were way too salty and you could taste the aluminum can the salsa came out of. I do NOT recommend this place to eat. What's sad, is I heard this place is owned by the same people that own Pullano's and I LOVE that place!! After messing with some papers she asks for my order, not friendly at all. After I place the order, she turns to the pass through and coughs. The new ownership stinks. The happy hour times changed, so the crappy margaritas are no longer cheap. The taco Tuesday no longer includes the soft taco for just a little more $, they are now full price at $3 each, the beef has zero flavor and tastes refrigerated and then microwaved. I find it comical that they have a sign out front supposedly trying to divert traffic from Taco Bell for their "real" Mexican food. Um, Taco Bell has more flavor than this place. I will not be returning unless it makes some drastic changes. read more

The food is ok, just ok, if you like lots of salsa with your Mexican food, then either bring your own or go across the parking lot to Taco Bell and grab some. They'll give you about 1/2 ounce of salsa with each item, if you want more, you'll have to pay extra. Anyway that's what we dealt with the first and last time we went there. I've never had this happen at any other Mexican restaurant, I've always had plenty of salsa for my meal. The salsa is not that good at Bonitos anyway, PULLANOS has way better salsa they are not chintzy with the salsa and better green burritos. read more

I had no idea it would be the size of a fuck'n chihuahua. They told me I was the first person they'd seen finish it. That shit was the bomb too. When I was eating it I felt like I was on Man vs. Food. After I ate it I bought a 400ml coke bottle to wash it all down. The people who worked there were pretty cool too and I can't really say that about very many places. I can't believe nobody ever told me about this place. I just got lucky finding it myself.
