"Carolina paprika chicken for $25" embarrassing

Top 3 worst dining experiences of all time.. overpriced frozen food.. this meal is just embarrassing.

Jillaine was awesome. The food was awesome. We watched dolphins right outside the window as the sun was settings. Service was awesome! We will be back for sure.

Gotta give it to them-these shrimp are some of the Best fried shrimp I've ever had! They use locally supplied fresh shrimp and it shows! My fried shrimp appetizer had 8 big juicy crisp shrimp-lightly battered served piping hot! NOT overcooked (big problem elsewhere) not rubbery/ just hot crisp light and Perf ect. Bravo! Captain Morgan n coke snd and a $1,000,000 view. I'll be back!!

Been to this place at least 50 times over the years. The ambience is great especially at the upstairs tables by the windows overlooking the waterway. Downstairs is very nice as well. Service has always been attentive, friendly and responsive. Food is usually very good and very rarely disappoints.

Had dinner on our first night at Fripp Island... David's second day as a server here and I appreciate the attentiveness. Food was delicious. Crabbed stuffed flounder was yummy. BF had the bourbon bbq salmon and he says it was good to try but would not order again. Our son had Mac n chz and some fries. We also shared fried oysters and wedge salad-- both good.

Bonito boathouse was recommended to me by one of the locals. I ordered the chicken & grits dish and it was very flavorful along with the calamari. Sam was our server and she was amazing! She was patient with the kids, incredibly friendly, and made great recommendations. I would've taken a picture of my dessert (Key Lime Pie) but it didn't last very long. 5 stars all the way!

Insane spot for sunsets. The salmon and the salads are good. I liked the waitress as well. It's expensive but everything is on Fripp.

Wife loved it, my grouper was a little underwhelming. Was supposed to be miso glazed with Farrow mushrooms and bok choy. When I opened it, they substituted green beans and it just wasn't that satisfying. I'm not expecting the world with presentation on a to go plate, but the sum of the sides needs to weigh more than the fish. From the executive chef "was the fish good?"

We could take our golf cart here and thought we were in for a treat. We did not have a reservation and clearly there were MANY open tables, but they said they make an exception for us?? Gee, thanks?! The hostess also said they don't normally seat people wearing jeans. Yet, she was chewing gum. GROSS and unappetizing. We were seated and our waitress was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We got some drinks-at happy hour prices- very delicious! And a bread basket while we waited for our entrees. I don't care for seafood so I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and a baked potato. The chicken in my salad had a familiar taste- like the Perdue short cuts you buy in the grocery store. Not good. My baked potato came with butter and sour cream. WHY ARE THEY IN PREPACKAGED CONTAINERS?! They couldn't provide fresh butter or sour cream? The manager, Tiffany, came by to see how we were enjoying our meal. My sister asked where they get their food supplies. Tiffany responded with Sysco. Umm yikes?! I understand it's off season and it's tough to know how many people will be coming in for dinner. Boy I was disappointed. Our experience and the service was good- except we were not asked if we wanted dessert and the table next to us did get dessert. Very strange? My sister got some fried seafood balls with a dipping sauce. She mentioned that the sauce was not a compliment to the food. She also got their soup and did rave about it! They def need to step their game up in preparation of the spring season.

We were a party of 4 and were immediately told that the kitchen closes at 9 by the RUDE hostess. She showed us to a table and slapped the menus down in front of me as if she were trying to kill one of the many flies in that place. Very aggressive, unfriendly, and reason alone for not returning. (Was she a prison guard in her previous job?) We weren't even asked about our drink orders before being told to choose something before the kitchen closes. (So, wait.it's not even 8:30, we had been there for two minutes, and had to order immediately.) The food was just ok. I had a flying ant in my potato. The waitress was nicer than the hostess but not by much. As it turns out, the kitchen DOES close at 9...so that employees can sit at tables loudly squabbling about the tip distribution and to openly cursing at each other in the restaurant's dining room. I will not be going back for that mediocre food, ice cold reception, and lack of professionalism. Food was a C. Attitude was akin to a prison welcome.
