I ordered a vanilla latte and hit the spot. Hot, flavor and consistency to be expected - when I order an OG drink, I like for it to taste like the OG. My rating is a 4 because I didn't try any baked goods but I plan to next time because they sure smelled fresh out of the oven. Bonshore Bagels is tucked into a strip mall in Los Alamitos and parking is easy, which already puts it in my good graces. Inside is dim and warm, kind of cozy and chill. I walked up to the counter and I was like... okay wait. The options are GOOD. Tons of fun bagel flavors, a bunch of cream cheese spreads, plus breakfast bagels if you want to make it a real meal. And they've got the classics too, like lox and cream cheese. No matter what kind of bagel mood you're in, you're covered. I ordered the open-face classic, which comes with cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, red onions, and capers on your choice of bagel. I chose the everything bagel. The bagel texture was beautiful, perfectly chewy, and just flat-out delicious. I also got a lemon ginger tea and it was the perfect little add-on. The place is on the smaller side with limited seating, but it was enough for what I needed, just a quick little chill moment. I have been coming to get bagels for several years and not once have I experienced terrible customer service like I have today. I ordered 2 bagels, 1 side pickle, and 1 side of lemon pepper seasoning. When it was time for the employee with black hair and a nose ring to ring me up, I asked for two sides of sriracha (hot sauce), and she seemed very annoyed, rolled her eyes and acted like it was an inconvenience to get 2 sides of hot sauce. After paying I looked at the receipt and noticed I was charged twice for lemon pepper seasoning. There was also no pickle in the bag. I went back up to the same employee and informed her that I did not get my pickle and was charged twice for only receiving 1 side of lemon pepper seasoning. She told me they don't have pickles ( with an attitude ) and I told her I just had ordered what I saw on the menu. Then she states she didn't hear me ask for a side pickle. When I told her I was charged twice for lemon pepper seasoning and only received one , which I only ever asked for one side, she said she charged me for the sriracha hot sauce and there was not a button for it on the system they use. I let her know I never get charged 80 cents for hot sauce on the side and her words were " well I don't know " all with an attitude. She was extremely rude. She never once apologized for any inconvenience, she offered to give me an extra side of lemon pepper seasoning ( which I paid for ) and that was it. She never offered a refund and I should have been informed about this " extra charge. " This place definitely needs new employees. I enjoy their bagels but if the customer service and employees stay the same, there is no point in coming back. read more

Now, my mistake I should have asked for a plain bagel because the everything bagel took over the taste of egg & cheese. Not a fan of scrambled eggs on any sandwich or carb. It really does not taste great not even with bacon. If you're hungry this does not matter. For the price, it's reasonable, rough under $6. Service was pretty quick even with long lines. Honestly, Cassidy's Corner has excellent bagels!! If you're hungry this would elevate your bagel experience. Parking is available and this place has many other businesses so be prepared to look for other parking spots if not close to Bonjour bagels. Maybe 3 small tables to fit 2ppl-3ppl. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid. It was so much better before. The bagels are your average bagel, nothing wrong with the taste, but nothing special. The service depends on who's working. Some girls seem unhappy to be working there, and some are sweet. It's a small cute bagel place with minimal seating area. Sad about this because I heard this place has been around for a bit and even though there are other places rated higher serving bagels, I love visiting a town staple so I decided to stop by here. Bagels were decent but service was some of the worst especially for a place that's only open in the morning...i'm not sure if it was the owner but it was 2 younger girls and one older woman who seemed to be running the place and she didn't even say hi, good morning, or even a smile and definitely no thank you, have a nice day lol. There was one other person in there that had already ordered before I got there and a couple walked in after I had placed my order and they were just about complete with mine so the flow of people was staggered. She definitely wasn't too busy to give some kind of kind service. It's not like they have the most inexpensive or best bagels I've ever tasted and there's a bunch of bagel shops in the surrounding area, I would recommend if you're already having a not so great morning, don't come here because I left a little taken back by a morning place that didn't seem to have any morning people in it. I have been coming to bonjour bagel cafe for many years. I'm not a regular but I pay a visit once in a while. Every time I come here the service is never inviting. My most recent visit was awful. I waited in line for 5 min or so just waiting for someone to greet me and take my order. I finally had to ask the girl up front is there someone that can take my order because the line was growing long. She said she'll take my order when she's done with the order she was working on. No smile no good morning barely looked my way. She wears a nose ring and I feel like it's been her before who shows the same poor customer service. Eventually I placed my order 2 plain bagels 1 sour dough. I opened my bag and they all looked like plain beagles. In the past there's been someone to tell me which was sourdough or they wrote something on the bag to differentiate. She didn't . I asked her which one was sourdough and she said the lightest one and she took one look at 1 bagel and said that's sourdough. I want to give this place 5 stars for the bagel quality and the hard working staff, but the parking spaces are tight and limited. And the process of waiting in line to order then waiting in line to pay and get your beverage needs improvement. The bagels are probably the biggest and best in the Los Alamitos and Cypress area. Plus, they seem to stay fresher longer. Had the last one 4 days later and still seemed fresh; not chewy or tough! I went on a Saturday morning and they were very busy, hence the lines. YUMMY BAGELS. The open faced bagels are a great choice and the bagels themselves are very fresh, warm, and tasty. The cream cheese is also wonderful and pairs well with the really soft bagels. The only issue I have is going during the afternoon with all of the teenagers visiting from high school, running rampant. They speak back and forth obnoxiously with the staff and it seems that they have a rapport and the staff lets the kids go to the back and grab a drink, and they crowd the area towards the bagels and cashier. The space has a cute homey 90's vibe, and a good amount of table seating. Additional bonus: they have an espresso machine. I opted for egg/cheese/cream cheese on an Everything bagel, which I recommend. The bagel had a good amount of seasoning on the chewy exterior, and was soft and fluffy on the inside. The Chocolate Chocolate Chip bagel was overly dense, and had no flavor whatsoever. Blindfolded, I would have no idea this was chocolate. Both bagels needed twice as much cream cheese. The espresso in my iced latte was weak, but overall it was a decent latte, which is rare to find at a bagel shop. The girls working were genuinely sweet, and prices are low. Overall, Bonjour Bagel did not change my life, but it is likely your best choice for a bagel in this area. read more
