    The fresh selections

The other day I was heading towards Garden Grove and I wanted to have a quick breakfast bagel. Normally I would Yelp it and research it, but since I was driving, I just googled bagels and Blue Mountain Bagels came up so I went. What was surprising was their banner said, Grand Opening Dec 29, 2025 and the store sign was Fresh Bagels and Cafe, so I was a bit confused. Well, it was bagels I was looking for so I gave them a try. Upon going in, the place felt brand new, the smell of fresh bagels, and a very eager and helpful staff. I got the spinach and Parmesan bagel, jalapeño Cheese and a plain cheese bagel and of course some cream cheese to go with my bagels. The place is very nice and spacious and next time I'm in the area, I might have to eat in. As for the name, apparently the Blue Mountain Bagels permanently closed and Fresh Bagels and Cafe opened here. Now they have a location in Buena Park, but I'm not sure if that's still open or not, however their Yelp page is still here. So hoping they create a new one for this GG location or update it.

When I toast a bagel, it takes a few minutes, but this 15-year running store is so efficient they'll toast my bagel and turn it into a sandwich in the same amount of time. The Heavenly Delight sandwich did not disappoint. Crispy, creamy, filling. No bad choices here. I must come back to try more and support the local business. Price is pretty standard. A little confusing where to order because the ordering is to the left while you pay in front of you. Small shop with limited seating - seems more designed for grab and go. No restrooms. Plenty of parking in lot.

Literally such fast and amazing service! I just had the best bagel of my life here, it tasted fresh and the bagel was toasted perfectly. I was in and out of the shop in under 5 min.

Yummy!!!!! First time here. Didnt know what to choose and staff came up to me and helped me with no hesitation! And I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I felt extremely welcomed and I definitely plan on coming again. My breakfast croissant sandwich was served fresh and hot! Just look at that cheese pull!

I love this bagel spot. This spot is always fast and accurate and customer service very good. Always clean not always packed; sometimes. The coffee is alright, the bagels are great. Always love coming here. It is AMAZING.

Got a Vietnamese coffee with 2 sugars and an onion bagel with cheese, bacon, egg, and mayo, DELICIOUS!!!! Order via uber eats. Was well packed, arrived warm, ready to eat. The coffee has the perfect amount of ice. Highly recommended

Love this little bagel spot I drove around looking for a little breakfast coffee spot near Buena Park and found this lovely spot! Can't say enough about how quick and efficient they are here. Very friendly and also courteous! The breakfast bagels are the bomb. For around $6 bucks you get a fresh baked bagel with egg and cheese and a protein of your choice if you want meat. My go to is the breakfast bagel with ham egg and cheese with Vietnamese coffee. Little cafe big flavors and freshness. They also have fresh baked goods daily. Come check em out!!!

I had to give up coffee for a while and this place became my treat instead of coffee. I love their carrot/orange juice. It's freshly squeezed and poured over ice in a cute cup. Their bagel sandwiches are really good also but my go to is for the juice! Oh so good!

Great bagels, fast service, and friendly workers. We ordered a NY omelet bagel sandwich and a Heavenly Veggie bagel sandwich for a quick breakfast. Both were so good; bagels were perfectly toasted, baked well, not tough/chewy, and flavorful without being too heavy or greasy. They have tons of options & prices are fair.

Usually I'm a sipper, but today my drink was gone in about 10 minutes because of how delicious and refreshing it was on this hot day. Service 10/10 Friendly, pleasant, and helpful service. Ambiance 9/10 Clean and minimal design. On a Friday early, there was only 2-3 customers studying or reading. Great place to study with good free wifi, outlets, and a bathroom. There's also plenty of parking and lots of restaurants and eateries walking distance. I'll definitely be coming back for another Iced Vanilla Latte.

Everything was really good. The food was solid, and the pricing felt fair for today's world--not cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, since it's inside a hotel, my expectations weren't sky-high, but the food pleasantly surprised me. I'd definitely come back, especially to try their brunch. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. He was taking orders, bringing drinks and food, running payments, and even delivering room service. The poor guy was working like he owed the hotel money. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

I was sad that they got rid of their Matcha Passionfruit Tonic (I hope they bring it back!) and was in search for another carbonated drink that wasn't too heavy. The Sparkling Strawberry cooler is a carbonated drink with strawberry puree topped with a lemon. It's simple, but very refreshing and light with a strong strawberry flavor as well as real pieces of strawberry. Would order this again! I also recently had the Banana Matcha Cloud 9 latte. Unfortunately I wasn't a huge fan. The matcha is pretty light and it tasted almost a bit watered down. The banana also leaned a bit more on the artificial side and overall was quite expensive at almost $9 with tax. Would probably not order again. Ambiance 7/10 The aesthetic of the cafe is really nice, modern, and clean, but it's always so busy with many people studying. I've been around half a dozen times in the last year and usually come alone or with a friend or two and we always struggle to find seating no matter the time of day. Would still come here to study again, but it can sometimes be a hit or miss. Service 9/10 Baristas and cashiers are fast and really helpful with their recommendations as well as descriptions of the drinks!

The menu has changed, several of our favorites are gone, and the food made it seem like there may also be a new chef. My burger was so overcooked that I had to send it back. My husband's tortilla soup tasted like a pureed mess, and the salad he ordered with Greek crème dressing was absolutely drenched in dressing and was overwhelming. Rock and Brews exceeded each category and came in clutch with some bonuses! First, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! I had tacos, which were discounted for Taco Tuesday and allowed for a mix-and-match of chicken, beef, or pork. My wife had the Mediterranean salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a pretzel that was mega yummy. Second, beer! Lots of great choices, and if you prefer a mixed spirit, well, you're in luck, because they have plenty of those too. Third, vibes! Vibes like Cal Tjader came back to life. The place is decked out like your coolest friend won the lottery and created the perfect spot for all of his Rock & Roll lovin' homies to hang and chill.
