The bagel was fresh, airy and delicious.. It had a great flavor without being overdone on the sesame seeds. They toasted it perfectly with the right amount of butter melted into the bagel. Wasn't my favorite but wasn't the worse 2/5 Their "fresh" orange juice didn't seem fresh as when I first got it, it tasted like they mixed something with it and shook it where there were a lot of bubbles/foams on top of it. I visited this place to try a bagel for a weekend breakfast near my home. It was my first time here, and I ordered the NY Omelet Bagel on jalapeño cheese bread along with an iced vanilla latte. The bagel itself was just average, nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, I really regret ordering the iced latte--it didn't taste good at all, and I felt like I wasted $7 on it. I honestly wish I had just gone to the nearby Starbucks for better quality at a similar or even better price. The other day I was heading towards Garden Grove and I wanted to have a quick breakfast bagel. Normally I would Yelp it and research it, but since I was driving, I just googled bagels and Blue Mountain Bagels came up so I went. What was surprising was their banner said, Grand Opening Dec 29, 2025 and the store sign was Fresh Bagels and Cafe, so I was a bit confused. Well, it was bagels I was looking for so I gave them a try. Upon going in, the place felt brand new, the smell of fresh bagels, and a very eager and helpful staff. I got the spinach and Parmesan bagel, jalapeño Cheese and a plain cheese bagel and of course some cream cheese to go with my bagels. The place is very nice and spacious and next time I'm in the area, I might have to eat in. As for the name, apparently the Blue Mountain Bagels permanently closed and Fresh Bagels and Cafe opened here. Now they have a location in Buena Park, but I'm not sure if that's still open or not, however their Yelp page is still here. So hoping they create a new one for this GG location or update it. read more

When I toast a bagel, it takes a few minutes, but this 15-year running store is so efficient they'll toast my bagel and turn it into a sandwich in the same amount of time. The Heavenly Delight sandwich did not disappoint. Crispy, creamy, filling. No bad choices here. I must come back to try more and support the local business. Price is pretty standard. A little confusing where to order because the ordering is to the left while you pay in front of you. Small shop with limited seating - seems more designed for grab and go. No restrooms. This is a good place to come get breakfast/brunch at. We usually go on Saturdays, and it is packed because of the swapmeet across the street. Fortunately, there is a large parking lot as this shop is located in a large business plaza. Also, even though there are few tables inside and outside, we have always been fortunate enough to snag a table inside. The bagel sandwiches are good, you can get your choice of meat with egg and cheese on it. I always get a lox city bagel (lox, red onion, capers, cream cheese). Fresh lox and bagel is the perfect combination. They have a self serve coffee station with a variety of coffees, along with different sweeteners and fresh half and half. My only gripe with this place is that there is an older lady working here who is super stingy with napkins. When I asked her for extra, she said they are included, and I said could I have more, and she stated no. Bagels and breakfast eaten by hand can tend to get messy, so I am not sure what the miserly attitude about napkins is about, but it is greatly unappreciated. I asked a younger employee last time for napkins and she happily obliged. Service is king, and I hope that the first lady changes her tune. Better yet, just leave the napkins out for people to grab. With the amount of business this shop generates, they should be able to afford it. Besides that, I see my family and I returning here for hopefully many more years to come. read more

Love this little bagel spot I drove around looking for a little breakfast coffee spot near Buena Park and found this lovely spot! Can't say enough about how quick and efficient they are here. Very friendly and also courteous! The breakfast bagels are the bomb. For around $6 bucks you get a fresh baked bagel with egg and cheese and a protein of your choice if you want meat. Good local neighborhood spot, they're pretty quick and price is alright. They have your typical selection of bagels, and they have a selection of cream cheeses. They offer sandwiches both breakfast and lunch varieties. I like the sausage and egg sandwich. Service is friendly, the staff is pretty quick, which of course means they'll push you a little bit as your order. In the case of a breakfast bagel place I don't mind. You will get asked what you want, any thing else, coffee each time so it's fast and that's helpful. They do have some chair inside, but I don't know if it's the kinda place you'd sit and eat at. These are some of the best breakfast bagel sandwiches around. We have tried a few different places bu this one is always the goto that everyone enjoys. The bacon egg and cheese on sesame is my favorite. They will also make breakfast items out of their croissants if they have any left. Service here is quick even when there is a line. Inside you're not going to find much seating but there are seats outside as well. We usually take them to go so that's not an issue for us. I've been here twice and all staff are super nice. The last time I was here I ordered two dozen bagels for work... they give you 14 in their dozen for $13.99! I also ordered a lox city bagel, they don't have capers on the lox, so keep that in mind. The shop was clean and the bagels are displayed well. Very bright in the shop, as they are a corner location, light comes in from two sides. I ordered my food and everything was ready very quickly. The bagels are delicious, made fresh daily. I've been to this place a few times now. The place is good. You really can't go wrong with the Lox City. The Heavenly Veggie is pretty good as well for people who do not eat meat - surprisingly hearty and filling (not normally vegan, though, due to the cream cheese, but I think you can ask to omit the cream cheese; the bagel may or may not be vegan, especially depending on what type of bagel you get). The Vietnamese coffee is pretty darn good as well. The people who work there are courteous and help you as quickly as they can. The food takes a bit to come out since they prepare food to order. I guess if there were one complaint, it's that the cleanliness of the interior could stand to be a bit better. When I went this morning, there was a fly circling around inside. Thankfully, it was not anywhere near where they prepared the food, but it was still not great to see. read more

This places staff is so stupid. Just got my food and still got it wrong after multiple attempts. I originally requested 3 sourdough bagels(2 of which were breakfast sandwiches and the 3rd was just supposed to be toasted and split). I also had a 4th breakfast sandwich was not an issue. The 3 sourdoughs was the problem. I am an Asian American myself so I'm not trying to be mean about it but they just didn't understand English!!! Multiple times I was gas lit about the order like I wrote it wrong!! Finally the cashier spoke great English and confirmed my requested order and charged me the 3rd plain sourdough(split and toasted). When I got my food 2 of the sandwiches were marked as sourdough and plain. When I asked why I got a plain I swear 5 different workers opened and touched my bagel and took it to the back and just rewrapped it and wrote sour on it. I asked again are you sure because it's doesn't look like sourdough it looks plain. The English speaking cashier confirmed no it should be sourdough. I believed the dumbass and I go home and can confirm it's not sourdough. If you want food from a place that doesn't understand what you're ordering and just gas lights you into accepting what they made so that they don't lose money on it then please continue to support this horrible customer service providing.
