Questions and concerns are handled immediately and happily. Paige is very proud of her studio, as well as her talent, and for good reason--she is the best. The spa-like atmosphere, the elegant gift shop and even the soft, engaging conversation between Paige and Natalie while they're working their magic is soothing. Paige Connor is not only one of the best lash technicians in the country, she also teaches the art and technique of lash extensions to qualified aestheticians in the school she founded. Lash extentions are fun and beautiful and can really boost a woman's confidence. I'm 57 and don't wear a spot of makeup when I have my beautiful lash extensions. I wash my face, shower, sweat like crazy when working out. Never a single issue. But...beware... ...the convenience, comfort and gorgeous look of lash extensions are worthless and even dangerous if not applied and maintained by a highly trained professional like Paige or one of her staff. Technicians must be knowledgeable of the weight, length and curl pattern of the client's natural eyelashes, match those to the individual lash extensions, and carefully apply each extension so that the desired look is achieved - whether that look is classic and natural or over the top glam. When done properly by a well-trained technician, NO damage is done to the natural lashes, no loss of natural lashes occurs, and they're COMFORTABLE. I've had lash extensions done by Luxury Lash Lounge for over two years, continuously, and occasionally I go a month or two without, in order to check the health of my natural lashes. I've never had a single issue. My ophthalmologist once even commented on the precision and expertise with which my extensions were done, and said they were the best he had seen. And they see thousands of patients with lash extensions! A bit on sanitary practices. If I'm in the chair and Natalie or Paige (whoever is working on me) has to step away for any reason -phone call, walk in client, vendor, whatever - they return with FRESHLY washed hands. They make sure your face is FRESHLY washed and your lashes are scrupulously clean, whether it's an initial application or a fill in. They have a gorgeous restroom with fresh towels and mild, skin soothing, lash-safe cleanser in case you forgot to wash your face before your appointment. EVERYTHING that can be sterilized IS sterilized. On the application itself, Paige is so invested in her profession that she has developed her own application tools and her own proprietary formulation of lash adhesive. I am EXTREMELY sensitive around my eyes and I have never had a single issue or problem. She's that good. Before you get lash extensions anywhere, safety and hygiene are at least as important as cost and appearance. And at Luxury Lash Lounge, you get all those things. The work she did was so awful and mediocre that I ended up wiping the entire thing off and doing it myself. She then told me that no matter what I did, I still had to pay her for her service. I understand completely that she took time to I do my makeup, but everyone in the bridal party had complaints about their face, even the bride. I don't agree with paying 75 dollars for 20 dollar work and effort. I don't recommend using her for any wedding or any reason at all. This is what she considers a good job.

The first time she cancelled, I added another hair/makeup service and she agreed to stay on board. The second time, she cancelled because I asked to try two hairstyles during the trial run (half down and an up-do). I believe she cancelled because I had a small wedding party and she didn't think it was worth her time. She cancelled less than two months before my wedding. It also took her nearly 3 weeks to return my deposit after she cancelled on me--I had to remind her to return it. I hired Dawn about 10 months before my wedding. I told her that I did not know exactly who in my wedding party would want to get hair/makeup done. I signed a contract for the minimum number of services she required--4 services. I thought we were clear that we may or may not add other services for bridesmaids. When I realized I would not get more services on top of the 4 services we agreed to in our contract, I got in touch with Dawn Johnson to clarify that I would not be adding more services. She said that she didn't want to do my wedding anymore and tried to cancel the contract. At that point, I still wanted to work with her, so we talked about what would make it worth her while to stick with the contract. I agreed to add another service, and she agreed to recommit to my wedding. Later, I got in touch to schedule a trial run. We agreed on a date and time. I asked to try a down do and an up-do during the two hour trial run. She said that there was not enough time to try both, and she wanted to know if I could spend more time in the trial run. I said that I could make some more time if necessary, but that I did not have the budget to spend more on the trial than what she listed as her price. Instead of sticking to two hours, or trying to find a solution, she cancelled the contract again. This was less than two months before my wedding. I ended up finding a salon near my wedding venue, and they were great. They said trying two hairstyles during a trial was no problem. I had a very unpleasant experience working with Dawn. I felt that she was not flexible in trying to work with me, and I felt like she was eager to cancel her commitment from the minute she realized that I would not have a large wedding party.

When I got it home and opened it, the pressed powder was broken. No big deal, MAC is great about standing behind their products. I went into the store and when I got there, the sales associate was on the phone. Being a frequent shopper, I'm friendly with the staff at MAC and on a first name basis with people at Sephora a few doors down. I casually got the bag out to point and indicate I'm here with an item I purchased and grabbing a replacement (trying to serve myself as much as I could, I wasn't demanding instant attention). She really abruptly and with a sharp tone said something like "HOLD ON JUST A MINUTE MA'AM" and went into the back. Then she talked to someone delivering something and signed off on it. Finally, she got to me. I explained the situation and she said "It's final sale. No exchanges." I said that certainly cannot be the case, it's damaged and I just want the exact same product. She got ruder and ruder while insisting that the register WOULD NOT EVEN LET HER exchange a damaged final sale product (which is an outright lie). I was like "Okay, so can you damage it out and give me another one." She laughed at me and said she wouldn't do that and I would need to PURCHASE another. I asked her "What's going on? You've had an attitude with me since I walked in the door." She insisted she did not and it was my problem. Her tone and absolute refusal to work with me say otherwise. She again insisted she could not exchange a damaged final sale item. I said I was going to call customer service and again, her tone was really rude as she offered to give me the number. "I'll give it to you myself!" I called the number and was waiting on hold. Another associate walked in and I thought maybe I could work with her. I started explaining the situation and Shari interjected loudly "SHE'S JUST A FREELANCER SHE CAN'T HELP YOU." At this point I'm really frustrated. I've been shopping at MAC since I was a teenager for 25+ years and I have never had someone treat me so rudely. Her whole attitude was "I refuse to help you, you're wrong about your assumptions, if you don't like it, call corporate." I know MAC's final sale policy does not apply to damaged items and that within 30 days the item can be replaced. I'm on hold with the 800 number. I describe what's going on. The rep says she can accept the exchange. I tell her so. Shari starts the exchange. She asks for my receipt. I aks her to please look it up under my rewards, I just got it yesterday. She either rolled her eyes and/or groaned, something that conveyed annoyance. At that point, she switches from a rude attitude to over the top, sarcastically polite. She finishes the transaction and says something like "NOW YOU JUST HAVE AN ABSOLUTELY BLESSED DAY, MISS SARAH." I said something to the effect of "You know it's free to not be rude" and she kept saying that blessed day sentence over and over again. I admit, on my way out I said I was calling corporate to which she responded "I'll be looking forward to it!" What the hell? Shari was the rudest, most uncooperative, most reactionary and escalatory salesperson I have EVER had and she'd be lucky to hold down a job at a fart factory.

Without going into details, they refused to honor their own companies customer service polices, rolled their eyes at me (both of them multiple) stopped working with me to work with another customer midway through "helping" me, only to go back and talk about my IN FRONT of me and when I interjected because I could hear them, they held up an index finger and said " we'll be back with you in a moment" and went back to talking about me in front of me. I have worked retail - a lot of it at various different stages. It is not always fun. I'm sorry they hate working retail so much but that's not my fault and I was nothing but respectful to the both of them. I just wanted them to honor what I had already been told by customer service. This was an absurd and un professional way to treat anyone much less a customer and as a result I likely am no longer a MAC customer.
