Easy to drive right by since they're right on a street corner at the light. Parking is metered, but limited and free on Sundays. Meters do accept credit cards. Very few tables so it's likely hit or miss to get seating. Seating is tightly packed and more than 2 people might be hard to accommodate. Prices are generally reasonable; crepes a nice sized portion and very filling. Steak, Portobella and Swiss was pretty good....steak could have been seasoned better for my taste but all ingredients were very fresh. Crepes come with a side salad and big piece of pineapple which added a nice touch at the end. Cappuccino was relatively good also. Didn't try a sweet crepe but they looked really good. Everyone seems to be caught up on styrofoam plates and plastic utensils.....who cares! The only thing I wasn't really a fan of is CASH ONLY. NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED. Sure without paying the credit card fees it adds a little extra to the bottom line, but a huge inconvenience to a customer. I never carry cash...time to find a better payment processor! Overall, probably won't make the 30 minute drive only to have to stop at a bank first on the way. Won't go out of the way to come back here unless I'm in the area. read more

It's a great simple place for food. The woman who runs the place is pleasant and friendly. It is small, so don't show up with a large party and expect to be seated right away. I always sit outside which is perfectly shaded by a tree. I also love the amount of French being spoken, not just by the staff, but the customers as well. It makes me feel like I'm back in Paris. My favorite thing to order is the morning crepe. However, my boyfriend normally gets something sweet and it's always good. I have never tried the juice, but see a lot of people ordering them and they look delicious. Make sure you bring cash. read more

I am not from around here. My son was in a tournament so I needed to find a local place to have breakfast. I was going to go to IHOP but thought about finding a non-chain place. So I searched using Yelp. Found this gem. I had the breakfast fruit crepe. It was loaded with fresh fruit - see picture - delicious! Luckily I had cash because they don't accept credit card. It's too bad I don't live close by else I would come often. Also note - there is only street parking. But I didn't have problems getting a spot in a Monday morning around 9am. read more

The food here is great! There isn't much of a dine-in experience but I didn't mind. The staff was nice and the food was delicious! I do have to say though, you need to know what to order here. For breakfast, the omelettes are great, and the croissants are out-of-this-world, served with strawberry jam. I usually steal some of my wife's before the meal is over. Coffee is great, with hot frothed milk on top. For lunch, I've really only had the butternut squash and a few of the salads. It's my go-to for the soup, but beware the soups are daily (squash soup is only on Fridays). It's served with a great chunk of bread, and the small size is enough for a light lunch. Came here for the first time and I loved it. Everything is very fresh and the staff is very nice. I had one of the many choices of savory crepes that they offer - chicken, pine nuts, tomatoes and pesto. The portion was a good size, very tasty and filling. The crepe came with a side salad of mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers topped with balsamic dressing and a large slice of fresh pineapple. I also ordered one of the sweet crepe with choice of 2 fillings for my 2 yr old. Bananas and berries. Delicious! I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I came here today looking for brunch outside and left quite disappointed. My first issue was the service, it was inexcusably slow and I think this has something to do with the size of the kitchen. This place is very small, and with outdoor seating I think the kitchen can't keep up. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to take our order and then another 30-35 to get our food. When we were done eating it was unclear if someone would bring us the check or if we had to Go inside to pay, so I decided to walk in. I then saw their sign that said they don't accept credit cards. Come on, it's 2017 there is no reason for a legitimate establishment to not accept credit cards. Something stinks of tax evasion, here. I then had to leave my fiancé at the table and walk two blocks to an ATM...just what I wanted to do after my meal. The food here was good, I cant argue that, but not good enough to compensate for the rest of my poor experience. Definitely won't be returning. read more

The food is marvelous. Both savory and sweet crepes that are very rich and filling. My favorite desert crepe is strawberry, banana, Nutella. Excellent soups. A nice choice of large salads. Savory crepes are served with a small salad next to them on the plate. Soup is served with a large hunk of bread. Smoothies appear to be made from milk and frozen fruit. They are thinner rather than thicker which I like since they can easily be drunk through a straw. The restaurant is very small, can get noisy, and the service can be slow if the staff are overly busy. If the place is crowded I often just get whatever I wanted as take-out. I also order and pay at the counter as that speeds things up. read more

I will start by saying the food here is absolutely delicious. I had an omelet crepe with onion and ham. And split a strawberry nutella crepe with my mom. The crepe size is much larger than at most places. But besides the food, everything is absolutely horrible. The venue has horrible seating. Extremely small. And terrible service. I understand it's one of those "hidden gem" kind of places and perhaps they don't want to look like a modern restaurant, but they really outta fix the way they seat people. I had a party of three and the two four person tables were taken. I didn't mind the wait but what I did mind is that another party came in and occupied the table that the server said would be ours. Instead of telling them the table was ours, the waitress took their order!.. Then came over and apologized to us and said she doesn't know why they sat there. Once we finally got a table nothing complimentary was offered which was very rude. Like I said the food is great but the service is terrible! read more

Ordered the California Salad with Grilled Chicken. Sounded great --Artichokes, asparagus, cranberries over mixed greens I added grilled chicken as an extra. Big portion but why is this big salad that cost around 14.00, served on a styrofoam plate with these little flimsy plastic utensils ? Invest in some real plates with real utensils. Very difficult to cut vegetables with plastic ware. Second complaint was that not one part of the dish was seasoned AT ALL! The whole dish which looked great-had no taste whatsoever. I think people come here for the crepes, and I got sandwiches when I came here with a friend. It was probably our mistake in doing so because the sandwiches were not that good at all. Overall very bland and not a lot of flavor; could really be compared to something you could make at home with stuff from the fridge and not worth the $9 paid. Also not a fan of being served on paper plates for a place that does have seating indoors and outdoors and is considered a "cafe." I feel like this is more of a place you would go to, to grab a quick bite in the morning when you're in a rush. Bonjour Montclair is a very nice restaurant that I go to with my kids every Saturday. The crepes are out of this world and the waiters and waitresses are so funny and nice. It is a little cramped and small for us, but overall a great place to relax and eat deliciousness. read more

This place was awesome! I saw the good reviews on Yelp and many of them were definitely on point. I went for lunch yesterday with my Grandma and she ordered the smoked salmon crepe. Our server was really good about making substitutions (which can be tricky at some establishments, not this one). My Grandma dislikes goat cheese so a substitution was made for cheddar. I went with the create your own option which came with steak AND shrimp (yes I'm living lunch life on the edge folks lol) with Portobello mushrooms, feta and spinach. One word delicious! The steak was unbelievably tender, the mushrooms were just the right size and the shrimp don't let me get started on that, very flavorful. For 10 bucks AND to be in Montclair I was expecting a small (hungry in an hour) portion but that was simply not the case. I had enough left over to take home for another day. Also, I ordered a strawberry colada smoothie with a shot of protein which wasn't half bad either and I had the butternut squash soup as my opener. Heads up: the small soup is the price of a small but actually the size of a large so there was no way I was finishing it. The server brought a lid and I took that home with me as well in my doggie bag. The soup was creamy and delicious. The only con which is basically in line with other reviewers is that the food is served on paper/plastic plates but to be honest I'm not going to be a weirdo by taking a star away for that. This is a casual style café SOooooooo if you are looking for a place that serves food on fine china then you probably should go to a place where they charge 30-50 bucks a plate. I would much rather have amazing food on a plastic plate then 2 ounces of crappy food made to look like pretentious artwork on a well designed china plate. i loved these crepes! im so happy to have found another good savory crepe restaurant. the owner was super friendly and our food was brought out tout suite. we ordered the lentil soup to start. then, i order the savory salmon crepe and just replaced the goat cheese with swiss and it was superb. my friend ordered the banana, strawberry and nutella which he also loved. we even got a chestnut cream crepe to go and that is where things went wrong. since our food had been so phenomenal we never bothered to check our to go container. our crepe was ALL burned! we didnt find out til we got home. how disappointing! i couldnt believe the cook could serve that to us!! we had to remove all the burnt parts and even then there was a burnt taste on the rest. what a bad way to end such a good experience. lesson: check your to go containers before you leave!!! read more
