I came here the other night, not really sure what to expect because I'll admit, I'm picky when it comes to wings. My friend suggested I try them out because he thought they were incredible, so I did. I called on the phone, placed the order and went to pick them up. The woman who answered the phone was very pleasant, helpful, and friendly. (Everything you want on the other end of the phone when it's your first time ordering at a new place.) she said they would be ready in 15 minutes. I headed over not really expecting them to even be ready because most places in this area, when I order wings say it will be a certain amount of time and I still end up waiting way past that time. Anyways, when I first walked in I was greeted, I'm guessing it was the same girl from the phone but she made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I paid for my wings, got a drink and the owner came out and to my surprise prepared my drink and she was just as friendly and welcoming. My wings were ready on time! This will be my new go to for wings!!! They really go out of their way to make sure your order is correct, and you have everything you want before leaving. They thought I may have forgotten a straw and made it a point to come outside as I was leaving to make sure I had one. Try Try Try... BEST hot wings I have eaten. Original spicy bone in wings were AWESOME! Crispy outer layer with tender meat inside. The fries were perfectly cooked with light seasoning so you can taste the saltiness with the potato. The corn salad was interesting. A nice counter part to all the fried food. I went to Boom Chicken on 6/09 as I've done several times before to order dinner for my family. Unfortunately this time once arriving home to eat, the wings were extremely over seasoned and not edible. Because I live very far and just left work I called and offered to even send over photos of the food but couldn't come back in because of distance. The associate stated your name will be placed on a list for two weeks and call back anytime as they would only replace 10 of the 25 wings I paid for. The following Tuesday I called to redeem my wings and of course place an additional order. Again unfortunately the supervisor Steven questioned me up and down and proceeded to say there was no recollection of my visit. I went as far as to pull my bank information to inform him further but again he stated plenty of people call and make up stories. This was the worst service I've ever experienced, the wings are not the problem, as I explained who would go through all this for a ten piece wing. Steven then stated he has customers to attend to and hung the phone. I will not visit again, I work in customer service and understand ESPECIALLY during these times how important service is. My sister and I ordered the 20pc wing meal for two (to go). She chose the sweet chili flavor and I chose original spicy. The sweet chili has a sweet honey flavor with a little kick. It was very sticky, but was really good. The original spicy packed a lot of heat with a lot of Korean flavor. The wings were crispy and stayed crispy the whole time we ate. This place has good wings but that's it, the African American cashier at the front is rude and they never answer the phone. When I asked for a manager or the owners contact info they denied it and said the owner doesnt speak English since they knew I was going to submit a complaint. I really enjoyed my meal here. My family got three flavors: soy garlic, buffalo, and honey bbq. They chicken was crispy and cooked well and the sauce were flavorful and not overpowering. The staff was nice and the inside area is nicely decorated for a small place. They fries were just like any normal fries, nothing extra special. They lost a star because we were missing some wings from our order, so I would recommend counting your wings before you leave. It is refreshing to actually enjoy a meal from a restaurant in the AV. Come down and give them a try they recently added a Tues special which is great. I love going to the location in Palmdale so I thought I'd try the one in Lancaster. I had called in my order so by the time I arrived I only had to wait a few minutes. I immediately sat down and ate there and when I pulled the wings out they were a lot smaller then the ones I normally get in Palmdale and they weren't as hot. I don't know if they were just sitting in the back for a while, but they did not feel as if they had just finished cooking them. I have had issues at this place a few times now. 1st of all if you call for a pick up order and they say 15 to 20 it is gonna be more like 30 to 40. The service is so slow. Had a situation where I ordered 20 wings of different flavors, got home and they didn'nt even give me the correct flavors or the amounts. They basically did what they wanted and jam packed all wings into a small container. The fries were hard as a rock and inedible. The staff is rude and I swear it seems like everyone there hates their job. The employees complain about the job and other customers with people around! So unprofessional. God forbid you ask for something else. You will get an attitude and eye roll along with it even if it is their fault for forgetting it. The 2 stars are only because the food good but the service has drastically gone down hill and they clearly don't care about customer service here.
