Way overpriced. Food is insanely expensive. Visited on a Friday evening and spent the majority of the time waiting because there were not enough ride attendants. Place is run by teenagers with bad attitudes. Booked a party for daughter's sports team. Was overcharged for two unlimited attraction passes. Was told no managers were working and I would have to send email to get a refund. Sent email and no response. Spent $80 on two large pizzas!! Will not be back. read more

Tips for annual pass holders: Yes, the pass is valid at SpeedZone and all Boomers locations, which is awesome. But it's ONLY for the RIDES, mini golf, etc. All the other add-on perks are NOT VALID outside of your "home" park (e.g. the location you purchased the pass from). For example, if your pass comes with perks of restaurant discount, free bring-a-friend pass, cash for arcade games, and so on.... NONE of that is valid at any other parks besides your "home" park. Between the parks, their system is not integrated and can't scan your pass, therefore can't verify you. They will issue you a one-day temporary pass to use at their location when you show them your annual pass. We visited the Upland Boomers, and it's the same process since my home park is SpeedZone. Come prepared with this in mind so you won't be disappointed. They have lots more rides for little kids than SpeedZone has, so our kids had a great time. Food was mediocre, but what do you expect. Long story (not so short), my 2yo daughter wanted to "ride in the teacups" yesterday after school so I checked Boomer's site and found they have a teacup ride. Great, so we headed over and found something pretty surprising. To ride the teacups, the ticket cashier informed me this requires a minimum payment of $43.99 PER PERSON, regardless of age. I had to repeat this 3 times (probably to her annoyance) to fully digest what I was being told. Me: "This $87.98 allows you to take a teacup ride three times with your child?" Cashier: "Yes" Me: "That is the minimum amount of money I need to pay to ride the teacups" Cashier: "Yes" Me: "No single tickets?" Cashier: "No" Me: "How long is the ride?" Cashier: "A few minutes" (I'll add the cashier was nothing but pleasant and the Boomers pricing it's not her fault) If they did offer single tickets, that would be $30+ for us to take a ride for a few minutes in the teacups. Why? Let's get this right, $88 to ride the watered down Boomers teacups three times (maybe totaling 15 minutes) or, for $104 we to go to Disneyland for example and ride the teacups all day long. 15 minutes at Boomers......$88 ($351.60/hr) Disneyland all day...............$104 ($6.50/hr) Knott's all day.......................$66 ($5.50/hr) I see why this place seems to be floundering. I would have paid the $44 for both of us which is still absurd considering the quality of the rides. Boomer's pricing structure is completely bizarre and they are undoubtedly missing out on revenue as a result. The all day pass at Boomers was $56.99 per person. This still reflects a poor value. You're spending more than Disneyland or Knott's since they charge regardless of age if your kids are under three. On top of that, this place needs a serious facelift. Disneyland is $208 and Knott's is $145 for two tickets. Two unlimited Boomers tickets are $114. What am I missing here? We'll spend the extra $16 and go to a real park next time. When she turns three, we'll still spend the negligible difference on tickets. read more

Everything could improve. Hoop it up was slow. The games last like 15 seconds. And They have like 4 bats for the batting cages, prioritize day passes for mini golf and claimed that it was too busy for the mini golf to be open. I wouldn't go back. read more

Did an all day pass for my son who loves go carting. Just the right speed for him since he's so young. Was there on a weekend and there were 0 lines. He must have rode the go cart dozen times or more. Overall staff was friendly and definitely the pass was worth the money. read more

Came here on a Friday when they first opened. Big mistake...so many kids from different camps and they were pretty rowdy. My son and his friend were in line for laser tag and kids kept cutting in front of them to jump into line with their friends who were waiting. Workers didn't say anything even though saw that we were in line. We played mini golf and the two courses are pretty outdated but we made the best of it. It gets kind of confusing to find some of the next holes because there's not much signage. I lost my ball during the game but didn't feel like walking back to get a new one. We really enjoyed the bumper boats. That was our favorite and I will say that you get soaked. The whole ride is 5 minutes long so by the time you come out, your clothes will be soaked. To dry off, we ended up ordering a cheese pizza from the snack bar which we enjoyed. We ended up getting an annual pass, so we will come back to try the go karts and some of the rides. We also want to come back for the water park and arcade. I feel that they need to employ more people because the lines for the snack bar and ticket counter can get pretty long. read more

This place is a money pit. It is so expensive! I came here with my two children and a friend and her daughter to kill some time on a weekend. My kids went through their $50 of game credits that I loaded on the card within like 10 minutes. Also, I bought a soda at the snack bar area and it was over 7 dollars for a soda!! I thought that she made a mistake but I confirmed that is the price. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. We ended up leaving after being here for about a total of 15 minutes and took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese instead. I don't think I will ever come back here because of how expensive it was and how fast the kids went through their credits. read more

First Responders, vets and others get a pretty decent discount ($33 total instead of $39). We also ended up purchasing a $50 arcade pass on site which gave us 300 play credits. Nextdoor is Irvine Bowl (separate from Boomers) -We played mini-golf, rode a few rides, rode Go Karts almost all day, and played a whole bunch of arcade games. Did not do the water bumper cars because we didn't want to get wet, laser tag (just forgot), or the battling cages (we suck at that). We spent six hours there. -All employees were great and very helpful. Felt safe too with on site and visible security person who patrolled the grounds. -Place was fairly clean and attention was devoted to keeping the bathrooms cleaned and stocked. -Some of the arcade games did not work correctly and will need some attention. Many are dated but still fun classics! -The usual awards for when you cash out your tickets. The kids like it. -Mini golf has two courses and got plenty of play. Holes were actually challenging. Lots of slopes! Both courses need a little maintenance. -Food and beverages on site seemed expensive to me, but then everything in the LA/OC area seems expensive. Terrible. It's 11:25 on a Saturday and 1/2 the rides aren't staffed so they aren't open. Sign says you can request a staff member to come and operate an attraction, which we did, but 30 minutes later and the cars are still not open. Carousel not open. Ship not open. Climbing not open. Fun times. I did the wristband thing for hours of fun. It is a great value vs disneyland. They have gonkarting and other smaller rides as well as your typical mini golfing attractions. Not a bad way to spend a few hours with your kids. read more

Miniature golf is a great outdoor activity for the kids and family. However, Boomer does not enforce mask wearing. They have a big sign that says masks required indoors but about a third of guest are not wearing it. Also there are only bathrooms inside the building and you have to buy tickets inside. We are in a pandemic, they can open the restrooms outside. And they can sell tickets outdoor. They have plenty of space. read more

I went there many times with my family but sadly I have a dog so I cannot go there as much. The employees are not rude but sometimes they are bad at measuring children's height. The first time I went here was my friend's sibling's birthday and we had a fun experience. I like the outdoor then indoor because the indoor is dark so it is hard to see. In outdoor there is are two thrilling rides. One of the ride spins you up and down but I would not recommend it. When I went there last slow spin felt like torture rather than a thrill. The other ride is better because it the line is shorter (about 10 people per ride) and it is less scary more thrilling comparing to the other ride. It is also somewhat educational, because it teaches how to ride a car to children while having fun by letting them ride on miniature cars designed for children. But overall it's an okay place. The mini golf course was so much fun and there were a lot of different obstacles that ranged from easy to difficult. There are two different colored courses so you can pick which one to start with. Even though there were other parties, we did not have to wait long since we were all at different holes. This is friendly for beginners and also for experts!!
