I came here for my birthday and barely anything worked. My friends and I showed up right when they opened and 3 rides were already down. Stood in line twice for a ride that was working, and both times it stopped working after we had stood in line for a while and wasted mine and my friends' time. Arcade machines took our credits and then didn't let us play multiple times. First time on the go karts and my kart didn't work, so I had to switch to another one and only got to drive for about half the time. Team mode on laser tag was down all day, the music didn't work for multiple rounds, and for one game half of the vests didn't work until most of the time was already up. Half way through the day they decided there were too many people and closed two more attractions so you couldn't get on unless you had a certain kind of ticket. On top of all of that, many of the employees had no idea what they were doing. Unsure of whether or not swiping your card for an attraction took up arcade credits, not knowing if a wristband was enough for certain attractions or if they had to swipe your card (and different employees doing different things, so it was never consistent), literally letting us on to a ride that was supposed to be closed and only realizing that after we were on it and it didn't work, etc. Never coming here again. read more

I took my camp to this place we spent over a thousand dollars and service was poor. They stuck us in this room that smell like paint. They only had three attractions open, the tea cup, go cart , and the swing. Once I compliant more ride open. After eating the food a few of my campers compliant of having a stomach ache. I mean, it's Boomers, you probably know what you're going to get haha. We came here for the batting cages (great date idea btw) and a lot of the machines were pretty janky haha. A few worked, but when the first one we tried didn't the employee who distributes the cards, started the time over for us, so that's good. I thought the pricing for an hour was really fair, so it made it worth it for 2 people to share. You get a bat and helmet with it and you can switch up batters and locations (with each spot having a different speed for baseball, and there's a softball option as well). I'm sure I'd be back, now that we've gotten over the learning curve of using the card. read more

First time visiting this place with my family, I am truly upset. There's a sign outside that says masks mandatory even for those vaccinated yet no one inside or outside in the back was wearing masks but us. The lady who helped us (Laura) at the front desk where we made our initial purchase was so rude even after I told her that it was our first time and we didn't really know anything about ordering. Customer service is HORRIBLE here. There's so many young kids working that have zero respect or hospitality for families. Grew up in Irvine when they just opened Palace Park. The place has come a long way since then. I don't come here often but bring kids once in awhile. I think they've done a good job renovating the place. Place got much cleaner over the years and the arcade section is pretty top notch with the newest systems. I can't really comment on mini-golf and ride section outside since we come here solely for arcade games. While the systems are pretty well maintained, they are mostly ridiculously priced. Arcade games go for $2.50~$6 a credit for literally 5~30 seconds of gameplay. it's plain ludicrous. You would expect at least a few minutes of quality play at that price but nope. I also don't get why they charge to just have an empty game card ($1), then you would add balance for games. It's like really? games aren't expensive enough that they want to charge for charge cards too? I get that running a facility of this scale probably isn't cheap in Irvine but this is just wrong. Great place to spend a rainy day with the kids. We bought the season pass, so we feel like it is a good deal even on a rain day. The laser tag alone can get enough energy out to give your day a boost. The only down part is the arcade is a little expensive, but if they could drop the prices in some of the games that would make is more desirable on a more frequent basis; or a $5.00 reload each time for season pass holders and/or possibly an option to turn tickets to tokens. This place was absolutely filthy. After much begging they finally cleaned an epic spill off the floor that was extremely sticky and caused three people to slip. There were plenty of empty tables but they were piled high with garbage and old food. We asked someone for a tag so we could wipe down the table and they insisted on doing it, leaving behind crumbs and stickiness. They have is a raw funnel cake and all three hot dogs we ordered were completely burned. My toddler has to use the toilet and every single toilet stall was riddled with garbage and it smelled nasty. We didn't even make it to the games inside; we just gave up. I spent my entire youth coming here and now as an adult it's sad to see how filthy it's gotten. read more

Wanted to take time to write this review : 1st off my daughter just turned 16 and wanted to driving time at the go karts and enjoy sometime with her friends and enjoy family. Well when I checked inn . We couldn't find the employees to check us inn for her party . Which was almost $700 total ! Isn't cheap at all .. We couldn't find one person , took almost 15 mins waiting around . And they are so strict about timing of the party ! We booked it 6-7:30 . Which they only give you an hour and half to rush a party when their wasn't any other parties booked that night . Literally pushed my entire family out at 7:30 pm ! It was crazy .. Food : Wasnt worth the amount we paid , barely had any taste . Best thing was the salad I paid $30 for ... Omg and they closed the park almost 20mins earlier when it's posted . On a Saturday afternoon, instead of heading to Camelot I decided to take my son here for a round of miniature golf. I figured it would be cool to change up the usual course we go to and try out a new spot. Well, I should have stuck with what I know is good, as this review is going to dive into the sad mini golf course Boomers has to offer. But first I will talk about some positives. They have a decent arcade that offers a lot for the kids. It is one of the better arcades out there but I still like to go to Camelot for their Saturday Morning Madness deal. Games can get a little pricey here so be aware. They have a decent snack bar and they also sell some brews for the dads that want to wash back a slice of pizza with a cold one. But lets talk about this poor golf course. Most of the holes are set on a slope which means your ball is always going to gravitate toward that and you will end up against the bricks on every hole. I played two of the three courses and found the turf needed a lot of love. Most of it was torn up and was not smooth at all. The fountain that runs through it was not working which took away from the atmosphere. Most of the holes were all very similar and there was not a lot of cool holes you would find at a mini-course. I won't be coming back here for mini golf. Maybe I will come back for the batting cages or for the mini water park they have to check that out. But if you are looking for a good mini golf course, you will want to pass this one up. Come on Irvine you are better than this! CHEERS!!! read more

This place is unusually expensive. We blew through 250 tickets for $50 in about 20 mins. Then we went to eat. We orders 2 grilled chicken sandwiches, mini corn dog bites, and chicken strips which there were only 4 small pieces of, 1 large soda and 2 Minute Maid apple juices for about $85. The portions were unusually small with the exception of fries which there were plenty of. I would say this place needs some love. When I went to order a Mac n cheese I got the #17 order doohickey and it didn't vibrate and I was left waiting 22 minutes before I went and asked the kitchen staff and they told me it died and that it was sitting out the whole time. Then I measured the kiddos for the rides and they were told they couldn't get on and they met the height requirements when I measured them on the separate height scale by the smaller go karts. Customer service ! Although they're courteous, they don't know what point A and point B is doing . I rented a cabana and they are telling that we have to vacate the place because they're going to use of it for a party . The cabana is whole day use and paid $99 . The lady wants us to leave not until i showed her our reservation which include elite tickets and food which i pre paid about 3 days bedroom . My wife and I let go of one our Annual Passes and brought two more to our Theme Park Portfolio. We enjoy our adventure to another form of entertainment to bring more of our kid spirit out. Located on the southwest side of the 405 Freeway in Irvine off the Jamboree Road exit and about a mile south on Michelson Drive before Culver Drive, you will find Boomers! It will be located to the left of the bowling alley. If you drive up and down the 405, there are two BOOMERS! How convenient?! You can have fun at both parks in Fountain Valley and in Irvine. After visiting a local arcade/amusement park and having unlimited game play, I wondered if one of the bigger chains offered a similar program. Truth behold, Boomers offered a Season Pass Program. You'll need the pass when those hot summer days or just need to get out. There are more benefits we are waiting to use such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Nights, and many more fun nights at all Boomer locations. I did not know there was a card option for a year. I thought it was more of a DAY ONLY type ticket. Boomers was an unexpected Season Pass to our theme park venue, but it will be for 2019 when we just need to get out. Fun Time at Boomers! Bumper boats were our favorite. Later tag was also very fun. Beers too for the adults!
