I never expected a restaurant like this inside of a Marriott. You never get five stars inside of a hotel unless you're in Amsterdam (The Butcher @ The Bank) however... I saw a few reviews that referenced how good the food was at Boone Kitchen (at Marriott). I was of course quite skeptical, but I hand them five stars for having such an amazing selection like a fusion bowl, boom-boom shrimp, garlic shrimp endive lettuce wrap, an Ahi poké appetizer and they also have favorites like wings (that looked absolutely delicious) and then if you have kids: pizza everybody loves pizza, right? Equally impressive was the martini I had when somebody serves it to me in a glass that looks like it came out of my grandma's cabinet circa 1932. I'm impressed. Sea Bass was my order and they nailed it. Again, you have to remember you are in a lobby of a hotel so I give the Seabass five stars. Probably more impressive than the food was the service! I walked in and the bar was completely empty. I went to my room, took a shower and came back. The bar was packed and there's one bartender she was serving the entire bar and four tables with drink drinks AND food. Shout out to JENNIFER!! She's the amazing ringleader of a circus! Great service even for being down the bartender. The waitress did a phenomenal job of covering the entire restaurant. Had the chicken quesadilla. Chicken was over cooked and tough. "Be Right With You" Must Be Code for "Enjoy a 15-Minute Meditation Session" Walked in, got the classic "Be right with you!"--which, in their language, apparently translates to "Please age gracefully in the lobby." I sat there so long I started forming emotional attachments to the decor. After 15 glorious minutes of being invisible, I got up and left--practically a ghost at that point. If you're feeling brave enough to try it, I highly recommend sitting at the bar. Rumor has it that's where the staff remembers they actually work at a restaurant. read more

Ordered the fish tacos, one fried Mahi Mahi & one Boom Boom Shrimp & a side Caesar Salad. The salad was fresh & the Boom Boom Shrimp Taco was spicy & very good. The Mahi Taco was over cooked, smelled & tasted bad. The Avocado was beautiful & presentation appetizing. Overall, a better lunch than last time. Both servers Karen & the bright Red Haired girl who has helped me before were fantastic. Note to management, the ceiling above the bar area is absolutely disgusting. I wanted a restaurant close to my hotel but not fast food so decided to try Boone Bar and Kitchen. I was quite pleased with my selection. The service was great, very attentive but not overwhelming. I ordered an angus burger medium and it was made to perfection. There was a decent selection of beer so I ordered a Corona light which is my favorite. It's also very close to the airport if time is a concern. read more

If your looking to get robbed come here. I came in from working a red eye flight and unfortunately decided to grab breakfast here because it was the only thing around. The food was good but absolutely ridiculously over priced. If you get anything for breakfast make sure you don't order any sides! They decided to charge me $10.00 for a side of two sunny side up eggs!! How outrageous! I asked for a side of toast as well and they had to the gall to charge me $7.00 for 2 pieces of toast!! I've been to Dubai, London, Paris and much nicer hotels all over the world and they don't charge these prices!! This is CINCINNATI! This is absolutely out of control. It's suppose to have been cut fresh daily and prepackaged and cooked to order but my colleague and I both had some cold calamari. The service was good but everything was overpriced. For those prices, they need to hire a chef and not a line cook. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Located in the Airport Marriott Hotel, the Boone Bar & Kitchen was great. The Chicken Caesar Salad was nicely dressed and with a good amount of grilled Chicken Breast and Parmesan Cheese shavings. I'm also a soup fan when I'm traveling and this Chicken Soup was a winner. It had very good flavor, not of the canned variety I get at some other hotel restaurants I've been to. I'd definitely order it again. My dining partner had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich which was also nicely dressed with a side of homemade thick potato chips. Both were great was the verdict. The staff was very friendly and I look forward to trying something else when I'm back in town, but there may be a very good chance I could get the Caesar Salad and Chicken Soup again. :) We shall see... read more

The Boone Bar + Kitchen is located INSIDE the Cincinnati Airport Marriott - in Hebron, KY. The Boone Bar + Kitchen replaces the old River City Grille (sometimes referred to as the RC Grille). The new concept has a way more interesting menu than the River City Grille! Modern layout, nice lighting, fantastic menu! I got in late the first night - it was about 12:30 am on a Wednesday morning - so the kitchen was already closed. But I did sit and have a couple of delicious locally brewed IPAs. While I was enjoying the Ales, I reviewed the menu - can't wait to come back and try everything! I came back in the morning for breakfast - I ordered a glass of V-8 juice, water, coffee, and the breakfast buffet - which includes custom omelettes! I ordered an omelette with mushrooms, spinach, bell pepper, onions, cheddar cheese, and sausage! Well made and tasty omelette! From the buffet, I tried the biscuits and sausage gravy and bacon. It's a nice bar restaurant inside Marriot Cincinnati airport. I like the burger made of Angus beef and I ordered sweet potato fries as side. The first batch of sweet potato fries had burnt taste so I asked my waiter to exchange news one for me. The second batch is better. Good service but a little pricey for the size of the burger. read more

Staying at the hotel we had local friends suggest dinner. I expected to have to drive somewhere, but they said "no - the restaurant in your hotel just had a great write up in the local paper. Let's eat there." I've eaten in many hotel restaurants, but with the exception of the food capital of the world (Nola) I've never seen the quality of food I saw here. How many times do you see raw tuna in a hotel restaurant? And it was GOOD. Everything was good, both at breakfast and dinner. And there's a bar...let's hear it for the bar!!! They also serve some of the menu in the rooms, but walk down and get the full experience. Top notch in Hebron, Ky. Who knew? BTW...Prices were reasonable for the quality. read more

If you're here on business and don't have a rental car, you will most likely be eating at River City Grille. It was really convenient and didn't require driving outside for food. You will also pay out the nose here but alas I had the corporate card. We were here for at least once during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast - I had the traditional american breakfast with eggs, bacon, and sausage. It also came with two slices of toast and unlimited coffee/juice. This was pretty good and filled me up in the morning. I also decided to give the traditional Japanese breakfast a try. It was definitely something different than what I usually eat. It came with slices of grilled salmon, rice, seaweed, miso soup, green tea, and pickled pieces of ginger and daikon. I recommend that you give this a try if you're ever here. There was WAY too much salt on the salmon and I notified the assistant chef about this. He assured me that he will no longer put salt on the salmon. You can remind them I told them about the salt once before. Lunch - They have a Simply Fresh lunch buffet that's really quite decent. For about $10, you can get salad, sliders (menu changes daily), soup, cold cuts, antipasto, and a variety of cheeses. Dinner - I imagine we probably tried almost everything on their already. I'll just go over the highlights so you'll know what to get. For starters, get the sesame encrusted yellowfin tuna and calamari. If you want something light, get the nicoise salad next. If you want something really filling, try the cajun seafood linguini. The sauce is really creamy and you'll be very full. It's also has a spicy kick to it as well. Another good option is scallops diver caught. You get two choice of sides as well. I was surprised to hear they receive a daily shipment of fresh seafood considering where they're located. I can tell it's true you based on the taste of the seafood that I ordered. read more

Boone is the hotel restaurant at the Marriot next to the airport in Cincinnati, and the only place to eat around! So if you stay here and don't want to go in to the city you are a captive audience. That said, seems pretty good all in all. They were jam packed tonight, but service was friendly and prompt. I took the opportunity to order the Kentucky Hot Brown, a regional culinary curiosity I have heard above but never tried. It is a yummy and rich open faced sandwich with turkey, bacon, Tomato and hot melted Swiss cheese, on Texas toast, covered with a Mornay sauce(rich and cheesy sauce) I couldn't finish it! In Kentucky for work, this restaurant was conveniently attached to the hotel. After a long day if driving, it was nice not to have to leave for dinner. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly, but this was the only cut of steak available on the menu. The presentation was nice. The atmosphere is very much business. read more

So tired of being treated differently at restaurants. And this is one of those. Because of where we stayed and with limited time we didn't have much options for food, so I had to get food from here. First got served with a coffee mug that has stained rim, not just a tiny bit but it's all over the rim you can't miss it. Then I put in my order (just an oatmeal and some plain toasts) and patiently waited. After 35 minutes of wait and seeing everyone around me who got there at least 10 minutes after me all got their food, i waited another 5 min then walked over and told them I don't want my food anymore, they did go check and said oh food is ready now, but I had to go. I understand if it's busy but if everyone else who came later all got their food but I had to go ask for my food just doesn't sit right. Left $10 for the coffee. read more

I don't typically dine in the hotel restaurants; I always try to find a cute local place nearby, but we'd been out in the 105 degree heat all day and just didn't feel like driving around. We had dinner at the Boone Bar & Kitchen and was pleasantly surprised! The menu wasn't large--a little overpriced for being in a hotel, but not too bad--and the food and service was very good. I had the buffalo chicken flatbread and my girlfriend had the steak frites...both good choices. Wine by the glass was overpriced, but it always is. It's always great to have a good restaurant/bar in the hotel. If you don't want to venture out, give it a try! read more

Not wanting to travel far from the airport or hotel, I decided on eating at the River City Grille, which is located inside the Marriott at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport. The menu was filled with mostly steak, seafood, burgers, and salads. The bread brought out was very good and was nice and warm. My group decided to go with seafood and some white wine. I ordered sea scallops, mushrooms, and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything served was quite good, but the scallops may have been slightly overcooked (nothing bad though). The other people with me ordered mahi-mahi and halibut. Everything that came to the table had a very nice appearance and looked gourmet. The waitress was very efficient and friendly, but we found it a bit strange that she introduced herself to us three times. Her name tag also said she was from Compton, CA. She proceeded to tell us that her manager thought it was funny to put Compton on there as a joke, when she was really from Huntington Beach, CA. I was not offended, but found it a bit strange she would share that information at a dinner. But, all in all, this place was pretty good and I would check it out again if I was down in the vicinity. read more

We ordered fried green tomatoes, cheddar biscuits, and I believe it was called a Boone Burger. The fried green tomatoes were good as were the cheddar biscuits. The Boone Burger looked delicious but how looks can deceive... it was a total bust. The bun was stale, the cheese grossly over cooked and the burger was flavorless. The Service/Experience/Value Our services was good. Our waitress was both friendly and engaging. If I had not been exhausted I would have complained to the manager about the burger. You are better off taking an Uber or driving 10 minutes from the hotel to go eat elsewhere. I travel quite often and do NOT have an issue paying a little more just for the convenience of not having to leave the hotel. So I decided to give this place a try and have lunch. (Thursday) The turkey sandwich that I ordered was mediocre at best, the chips were stale and had them sent back. The ones the brought me were a little better but not as they should have been for a $14 plate of food. The bill was brought as soon as my plate was picked up. The waitress didn't even ask me if I wanted, coffee, tea, dessert and after lunch liquor... whatever. Bottom line: service and food mediocre, food prices above normal. I'm in Hebron, KY. I don't have a rental car. I can eat at the hotel restaurant, or walk across the parking lot and eat at the other hotel's restaurant. It's raining out, plus I'm lazy. They have a lot of steak at the river city grille. They will make a salad with steak and bacon and bleu cheese that's pretty decent, along with a perfectly acceptable burger. My coworker says the salmon is good, but I'm a little hesitant to try it seeing as how kentucky is a long way from where any salmon live. The tandoori chicken is not tandoori chicken. It is not bright red, and was not served over sliced onions. Instead of marinating it and baking it in a clay oven, they put a curry powder rub over it and baked it in a regular oven, I'm pretty sure. It tasted alright though. Most entrees run twenty to thirty bucks, but if you're eating here it's probably on the employer's dime, so it's actually free, and I'm such a tightwad that I'll eat fake ass tandoori chicken if it doesn't cost me a cent. In addition to the normal hotel breakfast buffet, you can order a traditional japanese breakfast with salmon and rice and miso soup. I am told this is so that employees from Toyota headquarters on business trips to Georgetown, KY to see how all that Camry-making is going will feel more at home. That's southern hospitality for you. However, after witnessing their treatment of tandoori chicken I'm going to stick with a croissant and fruit plate. Oh, I should mention that they have big ass slices of cheesecake that aren't quite as creamy as I'd like but aren't bad by any means, and big scoops of Graeter's raspberry chocolate chip ice cream that everyone here goes on and on about. And there's a bar. I was just down there a little while ago and everyone looked really normal and not creepy. The river city grille has that going for it. read more

For being in a hotel, the prices are reasonable and food is delicious. My flight got cancelled, so I booked a night here. After getting settled in my room, I ventured downstairs for dinner. The shrimp tacos are delicious and the KJ was perfect as usual. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. read more

Excellent customer service, divine food but quite pricey, too. This area is in development around the airport and there is NOTHING else within 5 miles. I was staying in the Hampton Inn Airport North and this restaurant is in the Marriott next door. I had the Mahi Mahi - blackened - with exquisite au gratin potatoes. The server was so gracious and on-top of my every need. She earned every dollar of the tip I was very generous with. The bread ... oh my ... the bread was paired with soft butter and an olive-oil/vinaigrette dipping sauces and was delicious. After a couple of drinks and the nice tip it was over $50 just for myself. A bit pricey on a travel budget but it was damned good. Cincinnati as a whole is most definitely my least favorite place in the US that I have traveled to in the last 18 months - but this is a good restaurant. read more

I was staying at the Marriott (CVG airport) and this restaurant serves as both the dine-in and room service option. I'll say this, it certainly beats most airport hotel restaurant food. It's certainly priced as the only option in town. It appears the closest take out spot is about 2 miles away. Captive audience, indeed. What I had: - Caesar salad - Steak frites The salad was grilled romaine, which added great flavor. The steak was tough and difficult to cut, even when ordered medium rare. The fries were a special truffle fry and were more potato wedges than fries. I would have preferred a more traditional French fry to pair with the steak. Overall, I really can't complain about this restaurant. Food was hot and above average. And, for an airport hotel restaurant, there isn't much more I could ask for. read more

I was so disappointed after reading all the good reviews about this place. We had been driving for 8 hours and were really looking forward to a good dinner. The food took 40 minutes to get to us. My chicken sandwich was dry, and the cheese tasted like it had gone bad. My son's $15 hamburger was burnt to a crisp, was obviously frozen patties, and the bun fell apart in his hands. My younger son had the $10 kids meal that came with "sliders". The burgers were actually one patty, cut in half, once again from an obvious frozen burger patty. The server was extremely friendly, but was apparently used to complaints because she quickly offered to have the whole meal taken care of. Short answer, go somewhere else. Even if it's to the Waffle House up the street. read more
