This place saved my life the other day. I recently got a mountain bike and decided to drive out to sisters to ride a trail for my first time EVER. By the time I got back to the bike shop I was exhausted and so hungry. I got a beer from the bike shop and then headed out back for the pizza truck. The dude in the truck was really nice and patient with me while I read the menu three times wanting to eat everything. I ended up ordering the chanterelle and lobster mushroom pizza. The pizza took a while, but I'm not mad about fresh pizza. It was so good! Everything was perfectly cooked and the toppings tasted fresh. The only thing I wished I had done was had him put some greens on top but that was my own fault there. I definitely recommend this little pizza truck and sitting out in the yard with a beer. We are staying at a cabin near sisters and decided to drive into Sisters to pick up some pizza. Ordered 45 minutes in advance of arrival and this turned out perfect. Their site accepted Apple Pay which was convenient as we were standing in a field at the time. Jumped in the truck and headed into town. Had a moment finding the place, but then realized they are a food truck in a pod. Pizza was ready when I arrived. I ordered extra crispy which turned out to be a great choice. The pizza was 5 star good. I've traveled the world and the seven seas and I don't know that I've ever had better than what I got from a food truck in Sisters Oregon population 2000. read more

How awesome to see a wood fire pizza oven inside a food truck! We stopped by Boone Dog and ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids. This is an absolutely delicious pie. I didn't know what to expect in terms of pizza style, but was delighted by our order. The 10" pizza was the perfect size to feed 3 little people. The pepperoni was high quality with no funky aftertaste. It wasn't too spicy either, which can be a problem when ordering for kids. The crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with the perfect thickness. The cheese was definitely high quality with a nice tang. The sauce was fresh with a great acid/sweet balance. The pizza was served piping hot. Overall summary: some of the best pizza in Central Oregon right here! We will be back to try other items on the menu! read more

We had a Woodstone commercial wood-burning oven in our home kitchen for 19 years before moving to Bend OR this year, and our efforts to reach our vision of crust perfection never stopped. Since moving to Bend, we have had many disappointing samplings, all falling short or worse. If you want truly excellent pizza, make sure that the owner of the restaurant is a professional baker. The foundation of pizza is of course the dough. It must have taste, body and the right amount of rising during cooking. The thought and attention that Danny has put into this critical pizza element reaches our idea of perfection. If the crust is good enough, the toppings can actually become a distraction. This is the case at Boone Dog, but with Danny's excellent sauce, the right amount of toppings, and his wood oven to cook it in we were in pizza heaven. Yep, trust the reviews! Super nice and friendly with amazing pizza! We had the special pepperoni and boy was it special, so good. If you love olives (only chumps don't), this is your pizza! But I'm sure they are all good cause the crust is great, sauce is perfect and the cheese was something special. The saving grace of Sisters. This is actually a place worth eating at in town. There are only a few. We found that out very quickly. It's a food cart (Woodfired pizza oven) run by some young folks and they are on their game. Called to order and they had an old message playing from several days ago stating that they were closed. Well, we passed by and knew they were open so we walked up and purchased a few pizzas (We thought the 10 inch pizza would be a personal size but it turned out to feed both of us and we had leftovers). Weekend trip vacation = the best pizza we've found in the state! We ordered a special pizza, kale/chanterelle/red pepper and also a more traditional pepperoni. Both fantastic. Location easy in the middle of Sisters, and you can get great beer on site (draft or bottle) at a neighboring storefront (that also has a resident, super sweet border collie). Ok we just had what I consider one of the top wood fire pizzas of my life, in Paso Robles at a winery.I'm a bit of a pizza snob and quite picky, So my expectations were low... But wow these guys have major game!Consistency was spot on after multiple visits.Great quality with the right chew on the crust. perfect wood char.... great ingredients and combinations. I've returned to this food cart multiple times now, and based on the other spots I've been to, Boone Dog continues to be the best spot for Brick Oven Pizza in Central Oregon. The crust is cooked to be perfectly crispy and the dough seems to be handmade and thrown out in the cart. Their marinara sauce is the perfect mix of salty and sweet, with an emphasis on the sweetness of the tomatoes which is a delicious substitute for the tomato slices which are normally found on margarita pizzas. Their mozzarella is melted globs across the pie and taste very fresh which contrasts perfectly with the richness of the sauce. To top it all off basil is topped on each slice of the pizza which compliments the strong tomato flavor as well. Always enjoy the entire pizza, from the first to the last bite. Would highly recommend for lovers of margarita, brick oven, and Italian style pizza. read more
