Beer was awesome! I had the amber/honey. Wife had the seasonal Peak Season. Great variety. We ordered 3 appetizers. Salad with fruit (forgot the name) was incredible. Cheese curds - forgetaboutit. Best we've had. Chicken tenders in a hot honey sauce lived up to the billing. Pro Tip - dip the curds in the hot honey sauce. Beer gets an A+. Food gets an A+. Service gets an A+. Greeted by multiple friendly people. Gwen was our server and she's a pro. Can't say enough about the service...especially Gwen. Dog friendly, kid friendly. Free stickers. Clean bathrooms. Nothing overly special about this place. It doesn't have anything to make it stand out to me any more than any other brewery. Your typical brewery. Slight industrial look for the ambiance. The food is typical brewery food. They were out of a few items. Which I found odd to be a Saturday around lunch time. If you are like me and prefer a cider they only had one on tap. The beer selection did look good. Our server was attentive. I can't say that I would recommend as this place is a little forgettable and I doubt I will remember it for a place for someone to visit while in the area. read more

Good brewery with a view. Pretty much at the edge of Boone will you find Booneshine. The vibe is nice and the staff have always been really friendly. The first time we went, we were able to sit at the picnic tables outside (lots of seating) and enjoy the outdoor view. Going this past winter, outdoor seating obviously not available but good space inside including a second story. I highly recommend the Space Pegasus if you like IPAs. We got appetizers for the most part but the food that was coming out (main courses) looked really good. read more

This place is awesome. It is hands down one of the best breweries we have been to. It's one thing to make really awesome beer, it's another thing to make awesome beer and delicious food. Our waitress Aiden was really professional and friendly. She helped us decide on the really awesome pretzel (made locally by stick boys), the classic cheeseburger, the honey chicken tenders, and the rainbow root salad. We were so happy with our selection. Stopped in today per usual Boone monthly visit. First red flag was the beer was off. Normal / trusted favs did not taste the same (IPA's). Secondly. Service was subpar at bar. Not attentive to customers and seriously not busy enough to warrant. Third. The food. What restaurant doesn't serve fries with a $14-16 dollar sandwich?!?! And. What restaurant serves chicken tenders or hot honey tenders that come with no dipping sauce (add .50 please) just seems ridiculous considering how good the food is. Atmosphere on a Saturday night was dismal. Lost Province is beating you on so many levels. Catch up. We are loyal and left VERY disappointed. read more

If you haven't been to Booneshine, you're missing out! This is one of our favorite breweries. They have a large variety of beers and are always coming out with new brews. You can get a flight of four 5oz pours for $9, pints are about $5 and half pints are $2-3. Their menu is fantastic as well. We always get the soft pretzel with beer cheese or the pretza which comes with a delicious tomato sauce. Their hot honey chicken sandwich is one of my favorites and the chicken is ginormous! They have plenty of outdoor seating; there is a fireplace and heaters in their covered outdoor seating. When the weather is nice, they also open up their beer garden. All their seating is well spaced out, menus are provided via QR codes, the staff all wear masks and enforce the mask rules strictly. read more

Booneshine has been my favorite brewery in the high country since it opened up! Whenever my college friends and I come back, we always make this our first stop. The atmosphere, food, and of course brews are the BEST and you are able to call ahead to put your name on the wait list. It's always packed, so keep it in mind if you're coming especially since they do utilize the outdoor seating all year which can be rough if you're not used to boone weather. Although, they do have heaters and a large fire pit to help stay warm! Their pretzel with beer cheese is to die for and you can add a sausage on the side to make it more filling. They also have their beer canned and available for purchase to bring home which makes for a great gift or just to save for later! read more

Very Disappointed this is the second time we have tried to eat here. First time there was over an hour wait and we had the kids with us so we could not wait which I understand. So this time we arrived just me and my husband and where excited to try this spot. After check the hours of operation on the website and yelp. We determined to be open till 9 PM. We arrived at 3:30 on 12/31 my husband was told they were closing in 30 minutes and that they would not seat us and the kitchen was closing. We were very disappointed and aggravated after driving over an hour and a half to this location. In addition there was a strong marijuana smell emulating throughout the the property. Huge waste of time and on New Year's Eve and we will not be back. read more

Booneshine is a FAVORITE brewery of mine and love their locations wish I lived closer but it's my hometown so I visit somewhat frequently. Excellent menu options, environment and service. We then had a pepperoni flat bread (which was more like a rectangular pan pizza) and a quesadilla. Both were good. Service was friendly and prompt and everyone was wearing well-fitted masks. After hearing so much about this spot before our trip, Booneshine was on the must do list. We visited on the Friday after Thanksgiving, so lots of people were out getting their Christmas trees. The brewery was pretty well organized from start to finish. An employee was at the front of the parking lot keeping an eye on cars leaving and helping folks find spots. We got lucky and scored a parking spot right by the entrance. We got in line at the beer tent where you had to check in and wait to be seated at one of the many outdoor picnic tables. Pro tip: also put your name on the list for the tap room restaurant. This line wasn't moving quickly because you had to wait for someone to leave and the table to be sanitized (mad props to this place for their attention to detail in keeping things clean). You also places beer orders at this tent. After a while, we had just sat down at the picnic table when I got notification that our table in the tap room was ready. We chose to do that because there were a lot more food options than the food truck (which I'm still not sure what they were selling because there wasn't a clear menu sign). We got to sit outside on their covered patio (bundles up in coats). The waitress was friendly despite being busy. There were a bazillion dogs everywhere (a little much for me, a cat person)! Some of us got flights and others ordered pints. Everyone was pleased with the beer. The food was also really good and I was left plenty full. If you're looking for a fun afternoon at a brewery in the mountains with good food, beer, and pretty land all around you while feeling safe about COVID, put Booneshine on your list. read more

We stopped into this Boone mainstay last Saturday for lunch. We get out this way every so often and we try to visit one of the breweries in the area when we do. There was a food truck / trailer on site (I don't remember the name) but we opted to sit in the brewery and order from the menu. I started with a Space Pegasus IPA. My wife, who is NOT a beer drinker, was happy they had wine available. The IPA was really good. It was "dank" like an IPA should be. Next up was a four beer flight sampler, Nuclear Seahorse, Tropicpale IPA, Cherry From The Monastery and White Oak IPA. All were really good. I purchased a four pack of the Pegasus to go. For lunch we started with a Pretza, which is a pretzel topped with Mariana sauce, pepperoni and cheese. It was really good. The pretzel itself wasn't overly doughy, it was lite and the sauce and cheese on it were delicious. My wife ordered the High Country flatbread which was made with a cauliflower crust. It was topped with broccoli, pickled onions, cheese, buttercup onion sauce and kale. It was really tasty. The vegetables were roasted perfectly. I went with the Bolick Burger "Brookshire Style" which was topped with caramelized onions, beer cheese, candied bacon and????, I can't recall. It was delish however. The fries that came with it complemented the burger really well. They were crunchy and had the right amount of salt. This is a really nice brewery in the Boone / Blowing Rock area. They were busy during our visit. However, the service was prompt and friendly. Definitely pay them a visit when your in the area. read more

Absolutely delicious I'm so glad the wife and I stopped by! We started off with the three little buttermilk biscuits and they were delicious. They came with whipped honey butter and the biscuits were a little salty which made a perfect match of sweet and salty. I also got a beer flight and all the beers I tried were delicious. I ordered the meat camp flatbread and the wife ordered the warm grain bowl. The meat camp was flatbread was super tasty and the sauce tasted fresh and tasty! The only thing that threw me off was it was more of a regular pizza dough and not flatbread but it was still amazing. The warm grain bowl was "very warming to the heart" my wife says and the couple bites I had would confirm here description. For desert we had the brown butter toffee cookie and yes they're as good as they sound. This brewery definitely exceeded my expectations with the quality of food that was served here. The beer is good the food is good and the atmosphere is awesome! Absolutely must try place for anyone. read more

Pretty much a waste of time. Went into order takeout and was told that is done at the bar. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the bartender asked if I wanted anything and I told him I was going to order takeout. Another 15 minutes goes by and that bartender left to go home while two other bartenders were more interested in talking to each other and looking at the beer taps and never came over or even looked in my direction to order. Bartenders basically stand there to talk, look at the beer taps, and don't pay much attention to the people sitting at the bar After waiting for 20 minutes to try at order, I just left. read more

The cutest brewery in the area! It is a sit down place so we got some food to snack on while we each got a flight. I came in on a Sunday afternoon with 4 other people and we were seated promptly. I ordered a flight with a charcuterie board to share. A flight of 4 for $8, which I thought that was reasonably priced. My friends seemed to enjoy their food... Well, the ones that got it. Service was a bit lacking. Our server was nice, but two of my friends ordered food (just a pretzel and an order of fries) and after waiting for a decent amount of time, we found out that it was because the order wasn't placed into the kitchen so we had to wait for them to make the food. We asked for extra bread for the charcuterie board and after asking for it about three times, that was when we finally got it. They were busy though so I'll give them that. The beers were very enjoyable and so was the food that my friends got! I thought the charcuterie board had a very diverse amount of pickled veggies, as well as spreads. I didn't quite enjoy the cheeses because they were so strong and the meats were just average. Presentation was A+ though. My friend who got the ham biscuits enjoyed them with the various spreads that they provided and the biscuits were so cute! I would probably come back again and get their beers if I were in the area. As for the food, just take your chances, the service seems to be a hit or miss. read more

IMO, if you're a brewery that offers several burger options, the burger has to complement the quality of beer or else the whole experience is shot. They have an inside menu + a food truck (might just be a weekend addition) but the food was really solid for a brewery. Layout is nice with a more casual outdoor area. However, this place stands out for the beer. Sure they probably have too many IPAs on the menu, just like most breweries, but this is not some little follow the trend brew crappy beer and people will come sorta place. The beer is actually GOOD. Coffee Blonde and Hazy IPA were winners for me and my group was all satisfied with the others scarfed down. Keep up the good work because I'm looking forward to coming here next time in Boone. read more

Our meals were nothing to write home about, in fact they were awful. They only offer chicken thighs here with the chicken dishes. So if you don't like dark meat, you'll starve eating here. On a positive note, the cheesecake for dessert was delicious! Would I come back here? To eat.... No? To have an appetizer or a snack..... possibly. To have a beer.... Definitely not! I give three stars only for the pretzel and the cheesecake. My son had chicken nuggets and as soon as he seen it was dark meat he wouldn't touch it.
